i have been through uncountable ups and downs in a very short time span, which finally brought me to the position where I'm today, and now I no longer chase happiness or try to be happy. all i try is to be okay. when you hit the rock bottom, when you experience the worst of the worst, and yes, I'm talking about mental illnesses, when you know how bad it can be, it feels too much to ask for happiness. all i ever want to be is okay, not happy, just stable and i know it's the most reasonable thing i can ask for.
Again like I said this before, You’re young and have a lot to live for in life. Sometimes life isn’t really that good but just try to remember the good times. When you were happy. Don’t you want to fulfill your life and experience more of the things you deeply care about?
@@littlemissemila1818 I like the rainbow, I'm gay... When it comes to what made me happy was all lost in 2009-2011.. I always reflect on those memories of when I was a teenager, and there wasn't that much to worry about. I'm 26, and people think I'm still a teen or in my early 20's.. I always everyday wish I had a time machine to re-live those memories. ..
I can't fake a smile because I smile when I'm feeling anything negative or, rarely, when I'm really really REALLY happy, or supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. And how do I cut my brothers out of my life if they live with me and are really loud and annoying? And how do you socialize? Edit: well, heccaruni. I've gotten so used to my little brother screaming over small things that don't matter, and it feels weird.
i have the same problem, it’s especially hard in lockdown, and it can be tiring. fortunately for me one of my brothers left recently but it can be such a struggle. the best thing to do i’ve found is to focus your attention to something else plug your earphones in, go for a walk & practice a hobby, read. it’s more possible to ignore your brothers if your mind is busy. sometimes put your foot down, politely, and say please don’t talk to me i’m busy with xyz at the moment. that’s what helped for me. sometimes it could be annoying i’d be calling a friend and my brother would walk in to insult me, but at least talking to my friend distracted me. i don’t know your family dynamics well enough, that’s what helped me cope (:
Omg i had the same problems when a teen and hated my brother countless times i cried myself to sleep because he just wouldnt shut up and my parents locked their door to sleep and work in the next day, i felt like i had to be his mom and that killed me each day,now...well now his is my best bro and friend :)
U know what small thing make me happy most frequently...... No matter how sad I am or how terrible I feel but whenever I see a random smile in public even from a random stranger smiling for any reason make me smile idk why but it do🙂🙂😌
so recenlty, ive been feeling really bad. i've tried to be happy but i dont want to pretend. All my life i said i was happy when in fact i was not. but now i want to actualy feel happy so i dont have to pretend anymore, wish me luck :)
The fourth point is so true. I feel lonely and sad and I cry only when I am alone. When I feel real happiness, is when I go to school, where I am not happy at all, but when I see my friends I go to school with, I automatically smile and can’t stop. And when I laugh and can’t stop and my stomach hurts, I always laugh with my friends. I think this is, how happiness feels. I’m grateful to have them❤️😘
I guess if I want to stop being lonely and find a best friend, I have to work on myself first. Here goes nothing! edit: thank you so much everyone for the support! It really means the world to me 🥺💚
Something that makes me happy: it’s gonna take a step back and realize that things aren’t that bad, and when I’m older I can tell my kids and my grandkids how life was at this time. It makes my mood better I don’t know how hehe
"Resilience is the opposite of depression, not happiness", THIS GOT ME MOVING! I really think people should come across this thought more often because it sure sounds quite obvious but honestly it doesnt strikes our minds when we're feeling depressed. So, thank you so much! 💖 I really needed to hear that.
I’ve always considered myself like a unhappy person and did nothing to change that. I’ve dealt with suicidal thoughts, but that last time I tried to end with everything, I came to the conclusion that I have a long way to see myself get the better version of me. Since that last time. I had seen so many things that I just ignored because of my mindset and now I’m enjoying my life for the first time in a while, and seeing everything with optimism and hope. I feel like I could do everything I want. This video is a reminder for me that I can keep moving forward, no matter what and always there’s an option.
Hi to everyone who is or isn’t reading this! Even if you’re here, even if you’re not, I hope you are happy! I wish you all the best and I promise that no matter how hard things might be now, everything will get better! 🤗 lots of love!!!

Depression is an interesting thing. It's the stress that makes you feel like your too busy to do the things you love, its the guilt that keeps building, the blame we place on ourselves, all of the regrets we can't undo and the embarrassing moments we can't stop replaying our heads. The voice in our heads is the disease, and it will spew lies upon lies and twist truths and break your heart. It will do whatever it can do to drag you down. The most important thing is that you recognize that voice isn't yours. If you take away its power, the voice becomes nothing but a voice. Drown it out with love and wishful thinking, think positively and you will strengthen those neural pathways. You are strong and you will prevail. Life is nothing but a handful of experiences, and we can either float through life existing in them, or acknowledge how incredibly special every second is, how the odds of even existing at all are so low it shouldn't even be possible, and yet here we are. Cherish every moment, learn from mistakes you and others will make, and make every day count. You don't realize how special this life is until it's slipping out from under you. There is so much good and love in this world, try not to forget that.
One of the tip that said "consciously try to be happy" really helped me a lot. Teachers and counselors told me that I always look better when I smile, and I feel like I will never regret to smile even if I was not conscious about it. But I have been practicing resilience since the pandemic and that I am thankful for my parents to be around for me especially my mom.
Okay, going off of number 10: As much as I really want to, I have a really hard time being open or vulnerable with anybody, even those closest to me, and I need to work on that, but journaling more often has really helped. When I have so much on my mind that I can’t handle it, I’ve started to just write. I just let things spill out on paper (or digitally most of the time) until I feel done and it really helps me release a lot and understand what I’m feeling better. Try it sometime if you’re like me!
@@MindNow I’ve started realizing recently that I think I have social anxiety, and I think that pretty much explains why. I get super anxious when I think about sharing something really personal which makes it hard to actually go through with it
I'm trying to heal from a lot of heavy things, and one of the positive things is that I am still breathing. It's something so simple and underappreciated. Healing takes a lot of time but I've learnt the environment I allowed myself to be in contributed to it; and especially the people. Small things help.
Tbh I believe that being with a good friend can literally make us a lot happier … but.. the hardest thing is to get a good friend who can be with us at times when we really need them ( be it happy or sad ) ..
Ive sacrificed everything i have for someone (a fake friend) and they treat me like im nothing, ive been used but i didnt care, i just wanted them to be happy. I honestly regret it, but one of her friends are better, they helped me through life, even through tough things, thats the person ill do anything for. Please, be happy, do what you like.
Since this is the last day of our school before the Christmas brake, I'm watching this vid to make me more confident nd being myself in school nd not think about anything, just the happy thoughts. Also to be more happy again
I partially agree with the "surround yourself with happy people". To be honest, I think there are not so many people that are truly happy all the time, maybe they show themselves happy but keep the negative emotions for themselves. If we all surround ourselves with only happy people, what happens with the people that are not so happy and need support? Leave them alone? I think our society is becoming more and more filled with toxic positivity, no bad feelings are allowed and we forget to be compassionate and work those negative feelings with others. Now seems impossible to love someone else if "I don't love me", healthy self-esteem takes a long time and effort and I do think is much easier if someone can accept also the negative side of you that is stopping you from loving yourself and help you transform into a better person. It's so overwhelming the list of things that we need to work on nowadays to be happy and is so much easier with a little help from others. Imagine you cut off all of your not-so-happy friends now, who is gonna be there for those people? Instead, I would work with them so that they are happy as well, or at least reach a deeper understanding of each other.
I love how this channel taught us to focus on our happiness and on the joy an activity gives us. But, please, putting your happiness first doesn't mean harming others in the process. I had a friend that was desperately trying to put their happiness first at the expense of other people. I was suffering the whole day but they didn't care 'cause they wanted to see the sea.

i have been through uncountable ups and downs in a very short time span, which finally brought me to the position where I'm today, and now I no longer chase happiness or try to be happy. all i try is to be okay. when you hit the rock bottom, when you experience the worst of the worst, and yes, I'm talking about mental illnesses, when you know how bad it can be, it feels too much to ask for happiness. all i ever want to be is okay, not happy, just stable and i know it's the most reasonable thing i can ask for.
I'm never happy, but I have something that keeps me alive..
keep pushing, one day you're gonna enjoy yourself, no matter how small of an enjoyment it is.
@@MonteKori Ok..
I always everyday wish I had a time machine to re-live those memories. ..

*the best part of waking up!*
Exactly
Spending time with my dogs, reading a good book and drinking really good coffee makes me happy.
Happy is fleeting and illusory. Shoot for contentment. That is a genuine, lasting feeling.
I understand I'm also going through the same thing as you one tip try to distract yourself I'm doing this with my brother's and it's actually working
Just do I what I did with my lil bro: yeet him out the window when noone is looking and pray the police dont find you.
Omg i had the same problems when a teen and hated my brother countless times i cried myself to sleep because he just wouldnt shut up and my parents locked their door to sleep and work in the next day, i felt like i had to be his mom and that killed me each day,now...well now his is my best bro and friend :)
The opposite of depression is resilience. I cherish this channel. Thank you.
U know what small thing make me happy most frequently...... No matter how sad I am or how terrible I feel but whenever I see a random smile in public even from a random stranger smiling for any reason make me smile idk why but it do🙂🙂😌
ruclips.net/video/xxguYUqqLFw/видео.html
so recenlty, ive been feeling really bad. i've tried to be happy but i dont want to pretend.
It really means the world to me 🥺💚
cheering for you !!
Hope you can build up enough confidence!
I know you can!
I'll be your friend
Never enter a relationship if you have not worked on yourself first. Never.
Something that makes me happy: it’s gonna take a step back and realize that things aren’t that bad, and when I’m older I can tell my kids and my grandkids how life was at this time. It makes my mood better I don’t know how hehe
I've been resilient without realizing it. It's how I've made it this far.
I swear everything is helpful here! 🥺🦋✨

But I have been practicing resilience since the pandemic and that I am thankful for my parents to be around for me especially my mom.
your voice is so calming and the video as well,so calming

Okay, going off of number 10:
As much as I really want to, I have a really hard time being open or vulnerable with anybody, even those closest to me, and I need to work on that, but journaling more often has really helped. When I have so much on my mind that I can’t handle it, I’ve started to just write. I just let things spill out on paper (or digitally most of the time) until I feel done and it really helps me release a lot and understand what I’m feeling better. Try it sometime if you’re like me!
That’s great Sophie. Everyone has their way of coping with it and eventually it will get better. May I ask WHY u can’t be open with others?
@@MindNow I’ve started realizing recently that I think I have social anxiety, and I think that pretty much explains why. I get super anxious when I think about sharing something really personal which makes it hard to actually go through with it

I'm trying to heal from a lot of heavy things, and one of the positive things is that I am still breathing. It's something so simple and underappreciated. Healing takes a lot of time but I've learnt the environment I allowed myself to be in contributed to it; and especially the people. Small things help.
I appreciate that they also give us actual tips you can do, not just like “smile more, no matter how you feel!” Or “just sit down and think a lot!”

Losing belly fat and eating less really made me happy. I'm not judging others, just a fact for myself.

Since this is the last day of our school before the Christmas brake, I'm watching this vid to make me more confident nd being myself in school nd not think about anything, just the happy thoughts. Also to be more happy again
Find your “journey to joy”... love that quote. 🌹
I have to agree with this.......all of it really.
Thanks!
