Today on pReview'd, Jay and Adam react to the joker teaser trailer reaction, then review it, and at the end Jay gives it his special rating. During the joker trailer reaction they also talk about the Joker living in their neighborhood. Also in this joker teaser trailer review, i.e. the joker teaser trailer rating, or as it's known on the streets, the joker teaser trailer reaction and review, Adam changes his mind. A lot. But it wouldn't be a joker teaser trailer reaction & review if Jay didn't agree with the Joker. But that's not all, this joker trailer review also comes with a joker trailer reaction and review. All this for the low, low price of you hopefully watching the 5 - 15 second commercial before the video. And for good measure joker trailer reaction & review, joker official teaser trailer reaction, joker official teaser trailer and review, and previewd joker reaction. And that is how you RUclips.

This movie isn’t out yet and Jared Leto has already been far outdone. Outshined. Out-Jokered.
Cherie Alexander FACTS 💯
I mean, not real hard when it's already a more competent written, designed character and has a whole movie to expand on it. Meanwhile Jared Leto was given David Ayer' fantasy gangster world and was just used as an accessory for Harley for 7min of runtime. I'm glad we have Joaquin for sure. But he's beating Ayers' Joker. Watch Requiem for a Dream and Dallas Buyers Club, Jared was doing the same shit brilliantly. This is a character piece that wouldve benefited him too. Also the method acting bs was way exaggerated and David Ayer himself said a lot of what the media reported was fake and he and the cast talked about how he was really good to work with so these guys are being quite ridiculous. Joaquin is also a method actor btw. Like jeez chill out a bit. Anyway, this movie is looking brilliant I can't wait.
Ace well yeah, that’s overall what I was getting at. I was just kinda throwing a little joke out there. But yes, this movie does look incredible.
Thank you Ace Jared Leto is a great actor but WB/DC/Ayers didn't give him that on screen time to flex his acting muscles. Plus you had fans who didn't want to look pass his tattooed look to see there was something to his Joker. The time he was on screen that look in his eyes can scare you.
You're really gonna blame Jared Leto for getting so much joker footage cut out of the movie
Oscar Alert ! Oscar Alert ! 🚨
I agree with you there!
Don’t bother nomination, just give it to him
Yes I mean come on Martian Scorsese is executive producer I would love to see this be nominated
Obvious Alert! Obvious Alert! (insert cute police-looking alarm light emoji here cause IDGAF)
11!!!
This movie is going to be extremely interesting. That last shot of him, just staring, with that unique makeup, is completely chilling.
Using the light and shadows to make the makeup look like a skull was awesome.
I don't get scared easily, but being stuck there with him and seeing that face before the lights go off, fuck
Victor Bastos if you look in the elevator last shot he actually smirks right before it pans over and says October.
The movie is set in 1981 and Bruce Wayne was the kid behind the fence.
the movie is going to end with a child Heath Ledger being inspired by this Joker to be the Nolan Joker.
@@itubeutubewealltube1 not the same universe, not the same wayne family
His parents probably just died if the flowers are supposed to mean something.
@@itubeutubewealltube1 Ahahahahahah THATS A COMEDY
Wowwwww...
Are you the _real_ Batman???
“It’s not that the system failed me; ...I’m not even IN the system...”
That’s a great way to put it!
YES!!! When he said that, I literally paused the video and said, "Exactly!!!"
yeah what an awesome phrase for the Joker
This trailer legitimately SHOCKED me! Glad you guys got on it QUICK!
Everyone get shocked with this, and I love it ¡¡¡
I love that silence after the trailer had ended
Majerník Tomáš to their faces haha
And they give it 3 out 5 😂
Best part of their reaction!
Towards the beginning he is seen walking up the stairs sadly but towards the end he is dancing down the stairs as the joker
Lol, so better a ruler on the road to hell than a servant in . . . purgatory? Nice pick up on the symbolism. Was still reeling from the classic costume appearance.
The uphill battle out of hell to sadly dancing into it
Going up is struggle against everything bad happening to him and around him
And going down is descend into madness. While dancing, obviously :D
Guys DC is making one hell of a comeback. Walter Hamada deserves a lot of credit for this turnaround.
Lois Kent it’s an amazing time just wish we would get man of steel 2
Funny thing is that, IIRC, it was Kevin Feige who said that DC would do better focusing on making good standalone films rather than try to just mash everything together as quickly as possible.
This is all Todd Phillips though. It's his script, his cast, his direction etc.
And Scott Silver is the co writer. The guy who did The Fighter and 8 Mile
"Some people just wanna watch the world burn" this movie will explain why...
If it does a good enough job of it, then we'll agree with the mindset.
It has more a "Taxi Driver" vibe than anything else. It looks to have another nod to "The King of Comedy" as well with the cameo by Robert De Niro as the talk show host. I'm still thinking Joker's final make-up pays a bit of homage to the TV show version.
It also plays with the design and colors used by John Wayne Gacy (serial killer) when he dressed as Pogo the clown. Which btw is the name on the wall of the comedy club in this trailer. This take I hope changes the entire DC Batman approach.
Bruce Bromley I’m sure you thought of that all by yourself.
@@jakefromstatefarm8545 what does that even mean? Any lover of film can spot the parallels. I saw "Taxi Driver" in 1982. How about you?
Bruce Bromley you know exactly what I mean.
@@jakefromstatefarm8545 by all means, explain it for the benefit of everyone.
3 out of 5???? I'm wondering which trailers you give 5/5 because this was beautiful.
Agreed. I’ve watched this trailer mayyyybe 10x and each time feels like the first.
@@Edd-zd5wb i hope you're being sarcastic
So much better than Jared Leto dressed as a mumble rapper.
That looks utterly terrifying. Can't effing wait.
I felt really uneasy watching this trailer, in a good way (if that's even possible). It really shocked me and I've gone from not being interested in this to totally intrigued. Colour me interested.
‘Falling Down’, a movie directed by Joel Schumacher. Wait, Joel Schumacher? The guy who directed ‘Batman and Robin’? He’s somehow an inspiration for a Batman related movie? Never expected that...
Bad people are born of good people who are hurt
Jay expression is priceless
Their faces right at the end after the word 'SMILE' is priceless. It's like they wanted to say: 'It's, it's... perfect!'
We all have that madness somewhere in our minds, all it takes is one bad day...
I think I heard that line somewhere 😂😂😂
Long life to Joaquín Phoenix, he is great (I saw him for the first time in Gladiator). If he wins the Oscar it will be beautiful, because Joaquín was friend of Heath Ledger... And because will be a tribute to his brother River, who died en 1993, and he was a great actor too. Great reaction friends, the man in the right side of the video is very pretty, pretty smile. Peace and love from Chile :)
I hated walking up those damn stairs as a kid. Hate them even more as an adult. Lol
Idk why, but I'm digging your content. There's something just.....nice and wholesome about it.
Subscribed.
This is like a cross between Taxi Driver and Falling Down.
I always said that the reason Batman is awesome its in big part because he has the BEST rogue's gallery of any comic book character ever and those great villains make for great stories.
It looks absolutely brilliant! I can't wait.
*eta* I think It's set in the 1980's. :)
silverspike1 I think it’s 70s.
It's set in 1981
I'm from the future and the movie got an oscar
That moment of silence tells it all
Definitely 5/5
I've watched a handful of your reactions, and I appreciate your takes on things. You earned the subscription... keep up the good work!
Thanks, glad to have you along 🙂
When he does that little jump/stand thing on the stairs... that's a classic Joker move. Check it out again.
Wow Adam...in hindsight, you nailed that “Falling Down” comparison. Really cool call
You guys had the best reaction. I loved it.
You on the left there, 3/5 for this trailer, are you "JOKING?"
8:00 In the Dark Knight, Ledger's Joker stood out more than Batman because of Bale , not the character itself. Bale just wasn't in the same level of acting as Ledger.
I partly agree. But I'd say it's more of the way he was written for th3 film.
I mean, can you imagine how amazing joker would be if Nicholson was given full roam for the 80s role?
Apparently the 70s was a good time to lose your mind. 😂
Eat your words dude on the right!!lol 3 outta 5 gtfo. It was better then endgames trailer
lol I don't get it. He would've probably loved it if the trailer showed everything like all the other trailers these days
Someone doesn't understand the rating system.
omg the intro HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVE IT
I was laughing before you started laughing lol great reaction
You guys are really good at reviewing after the reaction, I'm sticking around. SUBBED!
Thanks, we appreciate you sticking around after the trailer for all the jokes. Thanks for subscribing 😁
i love this guys so much omg
... the silence... is awesome
Looking back, I completely see the hesitation and concern going in ... it's fun to go back and watch these again, knowing what we know now
Falling Down meets Taxi Driver. This movie will escalate really bad towards the end, and I can't wait to witness it. Looks amazing!
I actually hope it will escalate badly, with Arthur going from troubled-but-sympathetic to full-on downright EVIL, completing the transformation.
"If you just smile"
Oh, we are.
*HeheheheHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!*
*THE FRIKIN SILENCE EVERY FUCKING TIME!* Ok this is epic..
Loved your reaction right after the trailer!
I'm really sold by this trailer and really surprised how it's not any ordinary comic book movie and looks nothing like it, it's more like a character study.
Really sold by Joaquin Phoenix's performance. Heath Ledger will still no doubt be the best but Phoenix seems like he will be close to it or equally good!
Really interested about the other cast members too. The girl smiling at Joaquin in the donut store is Zazie Beetz from Deadpool. The talk show host is Robert DeNiro. And also cool to know the guy on TV about the guy hiding behind the mask is playing Thomas Wayne. And the kid behind the gate is playing Bruce Wayne.
Joaquin Phoenix ✨🏆✨ oscar 👍😎
Dope ass reaction per usual but I’m commenting because that intro song literally brings a smile to my face everytime I hear it 😂 no matter if I’m sad or mad lol Thanks Guys 😬
I totally did the same thing (8:22)! I really laughed pretty hard at the pencil joke. I loved your reactions, and I felt the same way. :)
This just popped up in my feed and I'm so excited, cuz I know this is filmed on Adam's junk phone HAHAHA
Your expressions during the trailer :) Joaquin Phoenix is amazing actor. The trailer is really good, chills and goosebumps while and after watching it :)
This movie is HUGLEY inspired by Taxi Driver, I think Scorsese is even producing it.
I had the same reaction to this trailer. I think we all like these moves mainly with the joker in them because we have a peace of joker inside of us. Congrats to the man. It looks like he really went for it in this trailer. Can't wait
I love your speechless reaction lol
This is a real reaction, congrats bros!
This is the best trailer that I've ever seen in my entire life.
You took the words out of my mouth . I could not remember the name of the Michael Douglas movie. Thank you falling down. This movie should be great.
I agree with everything you guys have said in this reaction! I can't wait to see JOKER!
I almost clicked away with the beginning cynicism of the video, but I had to stay for the reaction. I knew you'd be turned around and had to see the expressions. It was rewarding to see the turnaround that I expected. :p Every single time I see this trailer, I get chills. If you let it be its own movie in its own kindaverse, I think it'll blow everyone away.
Hey guys! We love your content. Think its funny how this movie turned out. Its so good but it didnt hit you it was good until 30 minutes after watching it and heading home
6/5 an extra point for the 30ish time i have watched this. Due to reaction video binging
Love your reaction :)
Great comparison to ‘Falling Down’. I completely agree. I can’t wait to see how they have the Joker descend into madness.
Perfect comparison with 'Falling Down' in that a normal man has his life turned upside down.
First one to click 'like' button, yayyy!!! "Now this, this has put a smile on my face".
Yall im actually new to this channel and ive gotta say dat intro was freaking littt 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol i love your intro
I like the silence of shock of you guys after watching the trailer XD
Arthur Fleck --> A. Fleck --> Affleck
Those genius bastards ^^
Holy fuck
Arthur Fleck is the name of the joker in The Killing Joke, a comic book from 1998 if I remember well, so it's a coincidence. But a nice one nonetheless, nice observation!
Finally someone made a movie of the joker alone man this movie is about his roughness life that joker gets bully that's what I was waiting for, a movie that explain everything to know about the joker why he was so crazy how did he become crazy the joker have many time lines so this one is one of them and finally we have one not the aggressive batman that bullies the joker all the time man I was waiting for this for all my life I know there's a little Bruce Wayne in the movie but it's the joker on his beginnings.
I love this trailer. Watching your reaction is the 4th time I've seen the trailer and I like it more each time I see it. I watched a breakdown of the trailer yesterday and it talked about the man on the television talking about the criminal wearing a mask was Thomas Wayne and the scene where Joker is making the kid smile through the gate... that's Bruce!
Wow you guys are in the Bronx I lived a few blocks from those steps near the stadium
When Scorsese, Phillips and Phoenix come to you and say I want to do a Joker film. You say yes
Smile
Music by Charles Chaplin, Lyrics by John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons
Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it’s breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
you’ll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You’ll see the sun come shining through
for you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That’s the time you must keep on trying
Smile what’s the use of crying
You’ll find that life is still worthwhile
If you’ll just
Smile

Love that you mentioned Falling Down.
I love how skeptical everyone was until they watched the trailer and now everyone is sold 😩
I love both of you and I ain't joking around.
"I agree with The Joker"
To quote the daoist sage, John Mcclain "Welcome to the party pal"
Knock knock - Who's there
Oscar - An old friend
Best reaction ever, before trailw, why are they doing this? After trailer stunned silence
Literally got tears in my eyes 😢
Oscar confirmed!
I feel you
I didn't think Jared Leto was bad. He was just kind of not given a movie to shine.
Speechless for a few minutes right afterwards that's how you know it's a good trailer
Great references. Especially The Shinning lol 5:58
Great reaction
i disagree not faling down at least IMO its more like Taxi Driver! Even the way its shot it reminds me of scorsese style filming! Looks incredible!
Oh, good point.
Now I understand how one guy, with no super power, no monstrous intelligence, no money, no authority, but madness alone can stand up as the best villain in DC universe. Joker was made by society. You cant kill society, another Joker will just rise up.
"Falling Down" is exactly what I was thinking of -- along with "Taxi Driver" ... the latter fitting since Scorsese is a producer on this flick and DeNiro is in it.
I've said it a few places, when D-Fens in "Falling Down" says "I'm the bad guy? When did I become the bad guy" -- it's EXACTLY the type of line I could see this early prototypical Joker deliver.
Like minds.
It just reminds me of killing joke.. like he says in the film. "It just takes one bad day to makes the sanest man crazy"
I think he only sent a LIVING rat. Lol and it lives with Guillermo Del Toro now
I agree with you on the falling down reference
yall live near me !! im in hamilton heights and i think i know those stairs too =(
Is that Lenard without glasses and Sheldon from big bang theory lol
Dude. Movie looks freaking amazing
THANOS: I really need the early entry for this movie
This is Joker Begins!!!
Y’all, I felt like I was holding my breath, the whole time!!!
I love how jay immediately asks about batman at the beginning bc some ppl just want batman in every DC movie
It's nice to see some ambivalence initially about the film. Seems many were real eager to see Phoenix's rendition, and I had no clue this film was even a thing. Gotta admit, kinda dig the different vibe it gives. Ledger's could be somewhat related to, but not really all that sympathetic. This certainly looks promising.
Falling down, Life is beatiful, taxi driver and Scorcese presence :)
