@@andrewdottext8026 that’s what people like you aren’t understanding. The point of the MagSafe charger is to eventually remove the charging port altogether, making it so it dosent get dusty/damaged overtime forcing you to get a new phone.

Who even cares about their phones being more water-resistant then now, if you take anything with electronics into water you're just stupid for thinking nothing could ever happen

I feel like having a magnet case from Apple is useless for charging (other accessories may be useful). The idea of wireless charging is to leave it on a platform and the device charges. I honestly think Apple made the charger this way to prepare for a port less iPhone. If done correctly I think this is going to change everything

Yeah, apple or android why is everyone getting so angry over it, most people’s defence on why wireless chargers are good is because you don’t have to plug in a cable that takes 2 seconds to plug in and is faster
@@FreeMyNamePlz the other thing is that with the wireless charger you have less damage and fray close to the wires as if you were to use a regular in port wire

I can definitely see how I'd use this, I use my phone a mini gaming scream for games such as minecraft or whatever but charging and playing is sometimes a hassle. I don't see how this charger is any better for gaming than having a smaller thunderbolt connection plugged in to the bottom. It's more unwieldy looking to me.
What they should do: Make it none magnetic. The puck is powered by USB-c to lightening. People can charge wireless and remove one handed and if they want to hold it, pull the wire out and plug it into the bottom as normal.

They gon remove the charging port, makes it more water resistant. Also it’s a cable/wireless charger hybrid. You can lay it on the surface and charge without plugging into the charging port or u can magnetically connect it and use it normally.
Leaving your phone on a wireless charger overnight wont degrade your battery as much as leaving it plugged in overnight
You have to fiddle more to plug a cable in. Do it at night in the dark and you'll see (or not) what I mean ;p
Who even cares about their phones being more water-resistant then now, if you take anything with electronics into water you're just stupid for thinking nothing could ever happen
Charging port can degrade over time

I haven’t seen anyone mention this specifically, but another reason this is handy is that you can turn the charger 90 degrees from where it would normally sit and play games while the iPhone is in landscape orientation without the cord being in the way of your hands.
