It's what is left over when the other, higher grades are stripped away."

@@aymankarroum4032 I don't. But to be quite honest, the Apple cases I've owned have been amazingly good and resilient to stress. Maybe genuine leather (with its glue bonding) is better than the higher grades of leather when it comes to the daily wear and tear of a phone case.
@@christophertown7136 Unless I'm mistaken, the Apple cases aren't advertised as genuine leather, but _"natural leather."_ At least that's what it says on the back of the boxes for the ones I've used in the past. Perhaps something's changed this year?

For clarity, "genuine leather" is a grade of leather, its not "the leather is genuine" lol
A lot of people don't know that, it's assumed by many that genuine leather is high quality leather

My view on the magsafe wallet is that you're supposed to use it as a seperate unit like you would with any other wallet and in case you need to put your stuff somewhere and not to lose it, you attach it to the phone with the magsafe magnet so it remains together with your phone.

Yeah it’s cool because when you don’t need it attached to your phone you just put it away in a bag or pocket and attach a MagSafe battery pack or MagSafe grip to your phone.

I think the the wallet is designed as a extra convenience. Not necessarily made to replace a wallet/case combo(because you’re not carrying one less thing, it’s still two items...just temporarily attached to each other). But for people like me who lose their wallets as soon as it leaves my pocket. I usually wrap a rubber band around both and put them on my night stand. Now I just need a case with a loop so I can attach my keys are stop losing those too lol
It it wasn't Apple selling such a gimmicky product, everyone would laugh their ass off.

The 2 leather items once together for a little time actually sort of stick to each other enhancing the grip of the wallet. I enjoy using mine for my license, carry permit, and one card. It works well for me.

Hey Lew, you should try the wallets with the silicone cases. Some videos I have seen say that the silicone material actually makes the wallet stick better.

I have had this product a year now. And let me tell you it is the best thing Apple has done in a long time. I don’t even notice it’s on anymore. It’s so convenient and I never lose cards now. Trust me when I say going forward I would pay anything for this set up

I’ve used Apple’s brown leather case on my last two iPhones and it’s exceeded expectations. Drops bumps and all that, no problem. It makes getting a new phone less enticing because you have to start that patina all over again.

Had one for over a year now it find it really convenient. I also have a leather case so after a while the wallet kind of indents itself into the case making it harder to get off. Never had it accidentally come off, but when I do take it off, it notifies you almost instantly.
I have a question, since you already own this. Does the fact that all these magnets are around erase your CC strip? Also can you still wirelessly charge with the wallet attached, or do you have to remove it every time you want to set it on a wireless charger? Thanks!

I don’t think it is designed to be on at all times, I have it and view it more as an efficient accessory. When you go somewhere you need to have less things in your pocket it is amazing!
I find it interesting that no one is talking about the possibility of carrying in separate pockets and attaching when both are out of the pocket. No chance of losing/leaving either when they’re in your pockets, but those chances increase when they’re out. I’d be inclined to front pocket carry the phone and back pocket carry the wallet and bring them together when they come out.

I have the 12 mini and use the mag safe wallet. I have no complaints at all! The wallet does not come off and it takes some effort to take it off. Maybe it’s because the phone is smaller 🤷🏾♀️

Great job as always... but what's with the weird audio? It was hard to listen to...
Reverb due to the location of the recording - it's one massive concrete hall creating an echo - no sound absorption material so the floor and walls will reflect sound. The walls are now black in colour, but that is it.

@@GasherProdStudio concrete walls naturally reflect sound as original when the walls were white. I suspect either the microphone setup was changed or sound absorbing material / paint was applied to the walls as they are now black.

Okay I know I’m probably the only one, but I really like this. I like that they’re easily separated because I would probably keep my phone as my phone and my wallet as my wallet, in separate pockets like normal. But if I were to want to carry them both in one hand or like compact everything (think like a leather pocket organizer thing) it would just be convenient to be able to do this, but not do it all the time. Although, it’s pretty stupidly expensive for that one use case

I think the wallet is super useful for times when you need/want it. Don’t necessarily have to use it all the time or on a daily basis.

i've had a leather case from apple for 3 or more years now and it heals sometimes like if u scratch it, it begins to fix its self over time and that's a really nice thing about it
I used this wallet for 6 months now. Here’s my review:
3/10 stars
Pros: the wallet has a minimalistic design and feels very sturdy, after 6 months of use it looks brand new. It’s made with high quality, and will never fall off the phone. It surprised me how strong the magnets were. Also it will always tell you it’s last location where you removed it from your phone. It never shows the exact
location, more like a 100 foot radius at an address.
Cons: it only hold 3 cards and they squeeze in there pretty tight so sometimes they get stuck. Also you can only slide 1 card out from the back, so sometimes you have to slide 3 cards out just to get to one, very annoying.
Overall the wallet itself is mediocre and shouldn’t be worth more than $20.
apple remove the charger for environmental BS and still charge the same price knowing that we will get a charger with an extra package thus more waste, not to mention they use GENUINE leather for the case, seriously the hypocrisy of the company is beyond me

I’m using the wallet on my iPhone 12 with the leather case and I haven’t had a problem. Yes it an adjustment but ones you adjust it’s a nice thing to have.
I feel like the card carrier is meant to be left in your pocket or on the counter when your at home for say and just snap it on when your shopping
