Thanks for watching today’s video! I want to add that with certain wallets (with dedicated stand functionality) you can of course turn your phone horizontally too on the magnet and use it that way. Should have said that more clearly! I wanted to show how certain vertical stands aren’t usable horizontally if you psychically turn it because it would be straight and not angled. But turning your phone is of course the same thing 😅
Don't forget peak design wallet isn't even using its own "slimlink" system, despite advertising it! So it is a weaker magsafe being advertised as slimlink... And Peak Design never plans to use its own SlimLink system for a wallet (it said in emails). It doesn't work with cash and it is super expensive. They are all such pathetic excuses for companies (as you pointed out with the Ridge)!
Eh, maybe different people have different purposes for mag safe wallets? I’ve reduced the number of cards I carry down to about 7, but don’t really want to carry less than that. But with a mag safe wallet, that’s 1 less thing that I have to keep track of.
@@DeltronZero656 Exactly. My only reason for wanting a MagSafe wallet is to have the same features and functionality of my normal wallet, but with MagSafe so I can simplify how I hold things. And by default, MagSafe wallets are almost always going to be slimmer wallets compared to old school bifold and trifold ones.
If we consider average wallet price is 40 and you tested 40 means spending more than 1600$ to make this video, i must appreciate every second! Thanks man, subscribed!
Super good and incredibly comprehensive video. Although our OpenCase™ MagWallet didn't do great in the review, that only encourages us to make it even better in the future. Also, seeing the enthusiasm over our OpenCase™ case, and seeing how well it worked with most of the other wallets in the review, which is exactly how we designed it (not to lock you into an ecosystem of accessories like other brands), was really exciting to see and we hope others are excited about that as well. Thanks again for including us Raoul.
Great collection! I bought my first LV when I was 25 and I've only used that bag a few times haha. Also, I love your clutch! I have an Eva clutch with the DE print and I love the little chain. But I don't want to spend that much money right now and the kislux always gets me the bag I want and it's just as good as the LV and one of my favorites. Durability
Definitely a must watch video for everyone looking for a magsafe wallet and not sure which to buy. Was a long video but didn’t actually feel that long!
Great video. I am a new fan of your channel and I love your vibe. Also, I can't tell the difference between the two Bottega bags, the kislux is close and cute, so that's enough for me. I will bring my friends to buy.
I noticed that when you were testing the horizontal view for stand wallets, you didn't change the wallet orientation on the phone, just placed the phone on its side. If you rotate the wallet 90 degrees, the magnets should be strong enough to hold the phone up and you'll have many more viewing angles
Was surprised to see my favourite peak design wallet & stand in D & C tier. When i first bought it.. i was not too convinced either, but then the material grows on you and patinas pretty well too. The stand feature is something I really like and in a way it can also be used as a popsocket of sorts to hold the phone. I like the fact that it can store 7-8 cards and is secure with a flap that is magnetic. The pull tab to access the cards is a lovely feature too. I have been very happy with my stand wallet. The one other plus for it is that.. like other peak design products, the wallet comes with a lifetime guarantee. Thanks for covering so many MagSafe wallets.
I was also surprised. I had the same impressions as you when I first received it, but I've grown to love it over time. I think a big reason why this scored so low is because of the magnet strength on his naked iPhone. This wallet is mainly meant to be used with the Peak Design case. It's wildly strong. I've thought about switching it up, but I love the flap pull to remove the cards and the extra capacity compared to other brands. I just wish it had a money spot.
I am rocking both Moft and Peak Design Stand and I must say the material is what make the PD awesome and it's definitely more durable than most synthetic leather out there which breaks after one year of usage. On the other hand my PD still looks brand new even I dropped it multiple time
You went all out with this one! Probably the most complete MagSafe review video I've seen. I ended up choosing the leather one from Senose. Smart Fold from Spigen looks so good aesthetic wise, but I need one that's even more slim and minimalistic.
After watching this video, I think I'll go with the Magbak wallet. I've been trying to condense down what I carry, and I thought about getting a wallet that attaches to my phone. I want one that can carry 3 cards plus some cash in case of emergency. I am also looking for a genuine leather wallet, the vegan leather isn't quite the same and will break down over time. I was hoping to find one with a keychain attach but it looks like I can use the loop to attach my keys with a small carabiner.
Great selection of wallets and great video. Just a few things, on the first case with the horizontal case not having tilt, you actually meant to position the stand as if your using your phone vertically but then rotate the phone. Keeping the stand in the same position. This applies to other similar cases such as the ESR etc. Also regarding the "Find my" tracking, the apple wallet doesn't actually have tracking, it only shows you where you last took it off. The ESR on the other hand does have tracking similar to an Airtag which is why it requires charging every 3 months. Another thing, for the price, I was also unhappy with the Bellroy and returned my case + wallet combo.
Thank you for doing this! I was definitely curious about a few wallets and their brands that I've seen on Amazon and some of these wallets aren't cheap so I appreciate you testing these out so that we can make informed decisions.
The apple wallet find my feature is not the same as the ESR one. The apple one only record the last location when it detached. But the ESR one is like an AirTag, which will constantly update until it run out of battery.
I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
When you texted the Ridge, did you not have the magnetic strengthening plate? Because it looks like you just took it off and didn’t apply it to the phone.
I think the Speck one is the one for me. Although, the Valentinus or whatever it was called with the extra MagSafe is a great option because I like to use PopSockets.
What a great review. Thank you for all of the time you put into that. I'm an Android user and have considered a Magsafe case and wallet for some time. I use a stick on slim wallet now but would like the ability to remove it. There's many options, and many bad designs, magnets, etc. This really helps me make a better decision.
My esr halolock started wear from the side after few months like melting and sticky.. after 10 months of use the finger hook broke.. still using it😂.. Next time i would like to buy some light weight durable ones with phone holding option cause i got addicted to it.
LV bags are heavily copied, and small cute bags with funny handles are not practical everyday bags, the kislux bag would be much more practical. Thanks again for the informative video.
I’ve had the pelican case for about a year, the slightly upgraded anti theft version of it. And it works decently well enough, I carry my 3 most common cards on the right side and my license on the left with 1-2 bills. I can toss in coins as needed with this. However, I still have 2-3 other cards and really do wish that there was more room, plus the newer convenience of things like the spring loaded push that lays all the cards out for you to grab as needed. I’m 15min in btw but yeah, I’m here because I’m still searching for some slight improvements. But if my description fits what you’re looking for, the pelican is a solid choice and product, you won’t go wrong with it.
Hi, your video is very helpful to me. I bought a NOMAD Rugged Case after watching your video and I am very satisfied. I have a question about the MAGBAK wallet. Can this wallet use stand mode in a NOMAD case ?
A question the mag wallet from andar you said it fits 3 cards can you confirm this please I need a MagSafe wallet for 3 cards on andar website it specifically says 2 cards please and thank you 🙏🏻
Just a quick note mous has a newer version of their wallet MagSafe card wallet 2.0 so would like to see how this wallet compares to the older version you featured in this video. It’s a vertical wallet. Holds up to three cards bonus and has a back thumb push hole to get cards out. However I do not know if the same silicone dots on the back will hold better. I may have to check it out
You failed to mention in your comparison of the Spigen and Pelican wallet case that the pelican is waterproof which the Spigen is not so your assessment is poor in its classification tier to place the Spigen above the Pelican when it clearly lacks this important feature that the Oelican wallet case provides.
Not sure how you have the peak design stand so low here. It can fit more than 7 cards (I am currently using 8, but have had up to 10 fairly comfortably), has a stand which can hold the phone in portrait or landscape mode, is incredibly thin and light. The magnetic top never comes undone inadvertently and the pull tab lets you access cards easily (as you mention). Is the only C Tier criterion that you don't like the material - seems a somewhat subjective call in a video designed to highlight objective strengths and weaknesses.
A tier list is always subjective, even though I do mention objective points aswell. But to answer your question: Yes, a combination of the material, the way the material is loosely around the metal frame which feels odd & the fact that cards aren’t secured in there when inserting (although you could argue that’s to be expected with a pouch like design). All in all definitely not a bad choice. Your weight point is also valid! How would you rank it?
@@Unfilterd Sorry, i don’t mean to come across as too critical. I spent ages researching the wallet before buying, so was surprised you had it as low as you do. I think if you analyse 40 wallets, you probably don’t get to live with them and do a full breakdown of it after months of usage. The first thing i realised is that the iPhone (13 at least) magnets aren’t super strong, so i combined it with the clear magbak case, this seems to make a huge difference to all wallets. A secondary point is a use case of mine is that my work ID should be scannable without removing from the wallet, so i didn’t want any RFID blocking, so the thin fabric of the PD wallet is ideal for me. I think i would prefer a very techy looking one, but i find the pd looks fine. Ideally I’d like the ridge wallet in magsafe form, but their current design is incredibly poor for a number of reasons. As a point of comparison, i always used to use the belroy case with integrated wallet flap, but you could get max 3 cards in that, so decided to go down the magsafe route. Anyway, here endeth the lecture. TL;DR - i think the peak design stand should be at least A Tier.
Everybody has a "pride of ownership". That's why the debate on the "What's the better phone? Samsung or Apple" never stops. Because everyone needs to justify the money they spend. It's his list, make your own then.
@@gentlemaninthecomments.4661 It’s a $50 accessory not a beach house in Malibu, i don’t have a great deal of pride associated with owning it. I do however have experience of owning it and using every day for years, which the video creator didn’t, so please take my comments more as a PSA than any serious criticism.
@@brettstirling, you just proved my point. It's a freaking $50 accessory, you're the one defending it like it's a beach house in Malibu, dumbass.. Peak magsafe sucks, it crimples when you put cards in, and it shows wear and tear easily.... there I said it. LOL.
I have a plot twist for you. I'm developing a product that retrofits minimalist wallets to add MagSafe compatibility to them. I'd love to send you one to test out if you're interested.
You said in the video that the Mujjo is only 0.18 inches, which makes it slimmer. However, the Spigen website mentions that it's 0.21 inches. I also found out that the Pitaka is only 0.14 inches. So, which one is true and the slimmest?
have you tried to use the Peak Design Mobile Tripod on the S23 ultra Magbak Case? i want to buy the tripod but i'm scared if it will not be that strong
Lol, the spigen valentinus magnet ring one just feels like a cheap move. Just buy some stronger magsafe magnets for cheaper than the difference between that and the version without it, then simply super glue the magnet on and you'll have a nice, black magnet that doesn't stand out like a sore thumb and is possibly a good bit stronger. That's what I'm going to do, I actually have some lying around already. Simply because I want to be able to attach it to my car mount without taking the wallet off all the time.
I’m not being mean just making an observation but maybe the case you use while filming and showing off MagSafe magnet strength shouldn’t have the some of the strongest magnets on any case. A more everyday/more available case like an otterbox or speck or uag. Not a case that has a strong enough magnet that you can attach your phone to metal. Magbak btw. Any MagSafe accessory you buy will attach strongly to that case. You know what i mean? The only other case with stronger magnets is Rokform.
Absolutely get what you are saying! But rest assured that my opinion is based on testing with multiple cases, not just the magbak clear case. I just chose that one because it’s the most neutral looking while filming all sorts of colors.
Let's be honest. The luxury market isn't that expensive if you produce it at cost and take off the logo. The luxury logo is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact is that you're buying the image, showing off your taste, and making them think you have more money than you actually do, which is a very good thing. so kislux .
You tested most other wallets with a phone case, but the Ridge wallet with the bare phone, why? Doesn't seem like a fair evaluation of the Ridge's magnets
Great review! Is Spigen the only company that has the magnet on the outside of wallet? Love the idea of leaving on magsafe car magnet without removing wallet!
I always looked for a walet like the phantom one and you really helped me allot think im going to buy it in the next few weeks Great video and thank you for your effort
True! They include 2 RFID blocking cards that should be at the front and end of the stack to protect against theft. But to be honest I’d rather have that as a feature within the wallet itself, instead of losing 2 card spots
not too few people mentioned the hinge breaking quite fast on the spigen lock fit. To me, it's far from S tier, more like C or B tier, if someone absolutely loves the features, I suppose A tier but I have doubts about the durability. The otterbox wallet has been bombed with pretty bad reviews due to breaking or cards not fitting well, sticking out too much or hard to insert. You can even see here that from the design, it looks like it's going to break easily. I've stopped trusting otterbox, they used to be my go-to brand but I've been very disappointed in their cases, they just break after a while. Not built to last with a lot of use.
I have a bunch of MagSafe wallets and it’s like cases I’m always trying to find the perfect MagSafe wallet. It’s very hard. I have casetify, Moft, Otterbox, esr geo wallet, magbak and satechi. I could also spend an hour talking about all the pros and cons of each which I won’t do that here. I have not found the perfect wallet yet but mofts are pretty close I do like a wallet that can be used as a stand to me that just makes using your phone so much more pleasant. Two wallets I was really hoping to see are distill union and kings loot both of these have pull tabs which look great for accessing your cards but I don’t have either so I can’t say too much about them. Thanks for taking the time to show a great variety of MagSafe wallets 🙏🏻
magnet strength is important tho.with a case its more abt the magnet strength and the spigen Valentinus has anything but that, shit falls off like it was designed to even with all the webbing on the back
ESR would be perfect but it has a flaw design only last 1 month , the find my feature is great but it doesn’t last enough for the price , for me it is a c or d due to it
Although I could buy many Chanel or Hermes bags every month, the bags I buy are much cheaper and they are all from kislux . I don't want to worry about the bags being stolen or damaged. I'd better leave the money I save to my parents, Or donate to charity.
Great review! Missed Anson Calder’s offerings. Super premium real leather (calf skin and sport variants) with front and back push slots. Eckster’s MagSafe wallet is pretty legit too, crazy light, like 18g I think. Happy to see my favorite MagBak in the S tier. That Muijo looks really nice. I highly recommend the RhinoShield bumper case as a great case for MagSafe wallets. Similar to the OpenCase you showed it protects wallets from side hits and reduces the thickness you get from a wallet sitting on top of your case
My mom always said beauty is not about price. The existence of kislux makes me believe that true luxury is the expression of one's own style, not the price tag. Here, I found the best explanation of this sentence
Beware of ESR, MOFT and TORRAS. I had bad experiences with their products and also many other people did videos about their bad experiences. One of their products damaged my iPhone. The producs are made of cheap materials, badly engineered and after few months it will tear/wear in a way you will have to buy a replacement. Also, their customer service is awful, in my case they insinuated/shifted blame many times that I have the fault for having damaged the iPhone.
Why all reviewers praise easy to access to the card I would hate that. I consider this as a security flaw not a feature same for the cards to be visible at all times I hate that.
why did you test the phones using the magbak clear case. that is the case i have but it is misleading to test the wallets in this manner since most ppl will not already have a magbak case. flaw in your testing especially since you tested ridge the only wallet with out the mag case. be more scientific and transparent in your testing. again glad this video is relevant to me because i have magbak clear.
It's just my pick for the filming, I film just for the video, it's not the testing you see on the final cut lol. And in my dedicated video for the ridge wallet I tested without case too
There is no point in being selectively angry. So you donât believe in buying fake bags, a purchase is a purchase, regardless of the intention. I personally think it's crazy to care too much about how people want to spend their money. I bought real coach, marc jacobs, and mcm. If it's more than 1500, I'll buy a replica kislux . Guess what else I have in the bank, I'm a homeowner and drive a Lexus. I saw someone on RUclips who had tons of luxury items, lived in their mom's house, and was broke
@@Unfilterd didn’t think you’d see this since it was posted too recently! But I ended up going with a dark blue Andar mag wallet over the speck, since a few Amazon reviews said the speck had cracked over some use. The Andar genuine leather also looks great when not attached to a phone since it fits more of a traditional wallets appearance. I didn’t see any affiliate links for it in your info but I’m sure your vids will help me find more as I’m in the process of upgrading a lot of tech and office peripherals, edc. Etc

I feel like if the wallets gets too thick, they defeat the whole purpose of having a wallet on your phone; instead you could get a normal wallet 🤷♂
I basically want a normal wallet, but with the option to clip it to my phone via MagSafe lol

LOL.
what phone case are you using in this review?
I may have missed it, but what size iPhone are you using? Standard or Max?
15 pro!
@@Unfilterd Ty! Great video, super helpful. I ordered the Satechi :)
Which wallet do you think can hold the most cards?
I have a plot twist for you. I'm developing a product that retrofits minimalist wallets to add MagSafe compatibility to them. I'd love to send you one to test out if you're interested.
Could you please let me know which is the slimmest MagSafe wallet that you have reviewed?
Probably the spigen smart fold
You said in the video that the Mujjo is only 0.18 inches, which makes it slimmer. However, the Spigen website mentions that it's 0.21 inches. I also found out that the Pitaka is only 0.14 inches. So, which one is true and the slimmest?
You also said that the Magbak is only 0.09 inches, which is the slimmest of them all? All I want is the slimmest one of them all.
These are their actual thicknesses:
- Otterbox: 10 mm
- Moft: 6 mm
- Pitaka: 4 mm
- Spigen: 5 mm
- Magbak: 6 mm
have you tried to use the Peak Design Mobile Tripod on the S23 ultra Magbak Case? i want to buy the tripod but i'm scared if it will not be that strong
What are you using to check the magnets??
Lol, the spigen valentinus magnet ring one just feels like a cheap move. Just buy some stronger magsafe magnets for cheaper than the difference between that and the version without it, then simply super glue the magnet on and you'll have a nice, black magnet that doesn't stand out like a sore thumb and is possibly a good bit stronger.
That's what I'm going to do, I actually have some lying around already. Simply because I want to be able to attach it to my car mount without taking the wallet off all the time.
Which clear case are you using in the video?
Nvm I saw later in the video that it’s MagBak
Love the Aulumu wallet. Need one with a money strap for cash and receipts.
@@Unfilterd i gotcha! Love the vids!
Great video. The video was very informative and helpful!
You need to try quad lock mag wallet.
Check my dedicated ridge wallet video, you’ll see it’s really bad and not just with the bare phone
Great review! Is Spigen the only company that has the magnet on the outside of wallet? Love the idea of leaving on magsafe car magnet without removing wallet!
Thank you! Yes so far that I know, but maybe in the future more will!
Please try shinjimoru m-band. I’m trying to find the lightest MagSafe wallet
Oh yes I did see that one but accidentally purchased the non magsafe one. Tbh it didn’t look that great
Honestly I think you should try the ridge wallet again but with at most like 4 cards cause otherwise a normal slim wallet would make more sense
I always looked for a walet like the phantom one and you really helped me allot think im going to buy it in the next few weeks
Great video and thank you for your effort
journey ezmo vs spigen valentinus with the magnet in the back!
Journey ezmo if you like the wallet experience, if you just use cards though the valentinus is better
Didn't mention the two RFID cards in the aulumu wallet
True! They include 2 RFID blocking cards that should be at the front and end of the stack to protect against theft. But to be honest I’d rather have that as a feature within the wallet itself, instead of losing 2 card spots
The carbon fiber and aluminum alloys they mention are inherently signal shielding, but for additional protection, RFID cards can be used
"A" Tier for the Moft Movas Snap Wallet - Nice! Glad my suggestion made it to the video!
Yeah awesome magsafe wallet/stand! Love the color variety too
Love Moft wallets I have both versions and they are amazing
For understanding size… is this a ‘pro’ phone, not ‘pro max’?
Yes! I use the 15 pro in this video
Just bought the Magbak + Case using your link and code, thanks!
Thank you!!
Who on earth holds 12 cards on their wallet ?
not too few people mentioned the hinge breaking quite fast on the spigen lock fit.
What happen to the arc pulse drop test?
It will be a major droptest with all case brands, will most likely be my next video. Stay tuned!
@@Unfilterd thank you because I am planning to get it
I have a bunch of MagSafe wallets and it’s like cases I’m always trying to find the perfect MagSafe wallet.
Thank you for your kind words! We are alike in that way! I love you check out all wallets
How about zenlet 3 Pro Max?
magnet strength is important tho.with a case its more abt the magnet strength and the spigen Valentinus has anything but that, shit falls off like it was designed to even with all the webbing on the back
Liked and subscribed. Excellent, excellent video and effort.
Thank you so much!
Style wise : aulumu above all
lol “B tier” for ESR, smh. I don’t see any other wallet being trackable.
ESR would be perfect but it has a flaw design only last 1 month , the find my feature is great but it doesn’t last enough for the price , for me it is a c or d due to it
@ nah. Mine last several months on one charge.
Dude - all of the stand wallets can just be rotated on the back of the phone for landscape viewing.
Although I could buy many Chanel or Hermes bags every month, the bags I buy are much cheaper and they are all from kislux . I don't want to worry about the bags being stolen or damaged. I'd better leave the money I save to my parents, Or donate to charity.
Finally, great video on magsafe wallets! Don't agree with rating but lot of products, pure facts and numbers. Thank you!
And maybe next time, Popsocket PopWallet for MagSafe added to the list would be great :)
Haven’t heard Anson Calder before! Thanks for your suggestion. The Eckster wallet got me excited but I hoped for a cardholder with magsafe 😂
@@Unfilterd they make a MagSafe wallet
Thank you for the very detailed review. The worst to me is the Ridget.
What is the phone case name
Magbak clear case, got a code for a discount too UNFILTERD15
Thanks for your video it was really helpful. I just bought the Journey one
Thank you so much!
FantoM and spec seems awesome🎉❤
Put a money clip on the journey wallet and it becomes a regular wallet with magsafe
What case is on the video
Magbak Clear Case
awesome video, thanks man !
More than welcome! Thanks for watching
Y caring cards on on phone while u have apple pay
Excellent video, very helpful.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for making this video!
Thank you for watching!
This video is a masterpiece, thank you so much
You're welcome!
So, when you lose a wallet, you have no phone to call and block your credit cards? :) P.S. Great video, thank you.
To me, the clear winner is spigen valentinus, it's the only one that manages to ring all the bells for me. Thanks for the reviews.
I saw someone on RUclips who had tons of luxury items, lived in their mom's house, and was broke
great video! thanks
Thank you!
There is no competition in the fashion industry. These imitations have reached a whole new level kislux
This is such a well thought out video, I can’t believe you don’t have a larger following. Thank you for taking all the time to make this
Thank you so much
@@Unfilterd didn’t think you’d see this since it was posted too recently!
Etc
Great video!
Love the transition between the aulumu wallets at 3:30. Seamless
