Samsung does it better. They really stop updating your phone after 2 years and it starts being glitchy so you gotta buy a new one. You can stick to an iPhone for at least 5 years
I also got an iPhone 6, but the 64GB version. After 4 years I just checked my storage and I've only used about 32GB. I definitely dont take many pictures. But yeah, 16GB was never worth it.

@@vizender explain the point then genius. What so different. This magnetic charger is connected to a power supply with wires like a regular charger,, if you want a magnetic port for the sake of it by a 2010 MBP or a third party usbc or lightning adaptor for $10.
I am going to sit this one out. I love the new design of the iPhone 12 series, but I have a two year old iPhone X that still looks and works as good as it did when I first got it. The build quality of apple products is amazing
Coming from the iPhone 6 I've been debating whether to get the iPhone 12 Mini or the regular 12 and you've helped me decide on the regular one due to battery life. I love how portable the iPhone 6 is but the battery is not that great anymore. The bigger battery will help alot. This video is really useful!
That’s surprising considering the fact he actually explained the only details I understand about iPhone upgrades unlike most RUclipsrs who swear we understand tech language.
People are often forgetting when choosing between the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, that the 12 Pro comes with 128 gigs at the base price. If you need more than 64 gigs, which you probably will, it will cost you 850 bucks on the 12. Now the difference is down to 150 bucks. Is that too much more to pay for a more premium build, a third camera, and more advanced photography tools?
"you're gonna love the iPhone 12 mini since it's so small, so it's great for people with smaller hands" Then proceeds to show alpha male with enormous hands
Max is just too big for me, and if I wanted a better camera would’ve just gone with Huawei or Samsung’s flagships. However I do like the fact the Pro model come with the extra ram and LiDAR function over the standard 12. I guess I am that niche pocket of people that fill the Pro gap.
"If i wanted a better camera would've just gone with huawei or Samsung's flagships" lol if you said huawei and pixel flagships i would take you seriously, Samsung's camera sucks
Want mini with Max’s cameras. I have fairly large hands and still hate the size increase when I got the XS. Great for watching video, not great for dropping every 5 minutes
@@eal04 smaller, yes. XS, 11 and 12 are obnoxiously large. If it doesn’t fit in a chest pocket of a typical active jacket, it’s too big. It’s not just about hands
It’s a conundrum because it’s transferring power “wirelessly” but the coil is connected via wires. But when do you classify it as Actually wireless because there will always be a wire connecting to your wireless station?
Kinda seems like the old MacBooks, say you ah e the wireless charger connected to your phone and either a pet runs by and hits the charger and it just pops off the phone safely instead of breaking the cord or lightning tip in your phone or having your phone flung onto the ground. That is what I’m think this is good for and could make the port-less iPhone a much more convenient and realistic future.
I find that using a wireless charger has helped to prevent my phone’s charging port from being damaged. Before, I would have trouble charging my phone because the constant friction of plugging and unplugging the phone every day wore out the internals. Now, it’s used less often, so it’ll last longer (and it’s still there if I need it)
Micah Goldson I don’t recall ever wearing out a charging port. Sometimes lint gets in it and I have to clean it out - lightning port is actually the easiest to clean, followed by USB c then micro USB. Many people don’t know about the lint and just jam the cable in harder. To me it seems odd that people don’t seem to think more than “it’s supposed to charge when I plug it in but it isn’t” . But I guess everyone is like that with some problem solving in various areas :) But, MagSafe and other wireless chargers would solve that problem
@@RennieAsh I’m not talking about lint - repeated use can wear out the hooks that hold the charger in place. Not to mention the charger itself tended to wear out and oxidize on the connectors. The wireless charger prevents all of that.
Same here, I dislike how it fits in the pocket specially with a hard case. But the functionality is hard to ignore when you’re talking about a thousand dollar plus purchase. 🙄
I just bought the iphone 12 pro (256gb), and love it. I take a lot of photos and moved up from the iphone XR (128gb), which is completely full. I should be able to get by for a couple of years now with this phone. Thanks for a good video.
Facbook app randomly closes on 4GB of RAM??? Dude, I'm currently using an iPhone 6 from 2014 with 1GB of RAM and FB app NEVER EVER randomly closed on me.... WTF?
iPhone 12 vs the 12 Pro; I feel like the pro actually has more value due to Apple expanding the Pro's base storage to 128, while keeping it the same price. If comparing storage options, then it ends up as $850 vs $1,000. The features on the Pro seems like it could outweigh the $150 price difference
Agree with you. The value he mentions seems to point towards the camera being the deal breaker but I feel it's all wrong. There's a distinguishable difference in Memory (supposedly 6 GB in Pro vs 4 GB in 12), Storage, and Camera (Telephoto, LiDAR Scanner, image stabilization, Night mode portrait, Apple ProRAW, and Optical Zoom in & range options + Digital Zoom) between 12 and 12 Pro with the latter taking on the mentioned difference. Just enough to warrant that 'photo enthusiast' to buy the Pro instead of a 12 but also to stay clear of jumping to a 12 Pro Max which would be more to a true professionals liking in my opinion. 12 Pro Max offers at best its Sensor-shift optical zoom, much larger screen (jumping to 6.7'), and battery life. The difference in optical Zoom between a Pro and Pro Max is an increase of .5x zoom in, 1x optical zoom range, and 2x digital zoom up.... Minor things for the non-professionals as, in my opinion, these are offerings that should not matter to folks that want to have just above average photos with the functions originally mentioned and editing with current photo/video taking options and Apple ProRAW.
I hear you, baby. But guess what. If my carrier offers me the same deal it did with my Xs (free phone when I subscribed to their unlimited plan), I’m getting the 11 pro. Can’t beat free. ☺️
it's just simple, if you are not gamer and photographer just stick with iPhone 12, if you don't care about battery and love small size go for 12 mini. i was going to go for iPhone 12 before the presentation but while presentation I have changed my mind to pro max because the reasons are camare, battery and RAM 6 for gaming, because i play daily at least 4-6 hours. i think i helped you to figure out what to buy 😂
I’m one of the people that voted iPhone 12 Pro. I’ve always used the big iPhones but after developing some painful issues in my hands I’m finding my current Max a pain to use 😉. For my usage 4gb of ram doesn’t cut it anymore, the 6gb will be a relief. I’ll be disappointed if the Pros don’t come with more ram. I use the telephoto lens more than the wide and thankfully all of the lenses see an improvement just not nearly as much as the Pro Max. Great video and much appreciated
Yeah, I am going to buy the max too, the telephoto lens is mainly what interests me as I like to take photos of fauna and flora. I am also hoping for much improved network and wifi reception compared to my current Galaxy Note 10+ I also like the large screen for everyday use. I am however VERY disappointed that they didn’t use a USB C port on the phone itself, currently I switch the charging cable between my phone (note 10+) and my IPad Pro which both use USB C which is super convenient but because the new phone still uses the old lightning port I will have to plug it in elsewhere as I don’t have a spare PowerPoint next to my bed where I usually charge and use my phone and iPad. It also means I will have to buy the new power brick just to charge the phone.
Same. Pro Max looks big and I want to try apples phone for first time. But after finishing the videos. Should i really goes for pro max. Camera features looks amusing but i dont know if i can fully use of it.
@@akukuat101 it depends what aspects most interest you, in the case of the Max, if you value the slightly better quality cameras and the larger screen and you are happy to spend the extra money or not. If not then perhaps one of the other models would better suit what you are after.
You’ve encouraged me to cop the 12 over the 11. My only challenge is the battery life degradation people have complained the 12 suffer from, particularly because I’m most probably buying my 12 128GB used.
In one day you have already gained 1k subs... At this rate, you will reach 500k in about 3 months, and maybe 1 mill in less than 2 years!!! Congrats bro
Don’t ever make mistake number 10 there is some stuff that definitely needs to be bought from apple but things like chargers and adapters or other accessories all have apple tax and can tend to be overpriced but if your looking for reliability then apple can be the way to go but get ready to pay the extra bucks
Not really, I’ve always found the Apple power cables to be too short and damage quickly near the port itself, it’s not a quality cable, if it was it would have a fabric sleeve to prevent damage. The new wireless charger only has a 1 meter cable and it’s not detachable, you also have to buy the power brick to go with it at additional expense.
I have the iPhone 7 and I was thinking of getting the mini because it is smaller and I figured it would be easier for me to hold than the 12. Also to fit in my jeans pockets since they make woman's pockets so small. I am having battery life problems now with my 7. So hmmm now I'm not sure which iphone I should get.
I’m upgrading from a 7 plus so this is going to be a huge change for me. Still trying to decide between the pro 256 gb or the pro max I don’t have tiny hands but sometimes my hands cramp holding this big ass 7 plus. It really isn’t the best for comfort ability even though I’m use to it. I love pictures so while I want the pro max for the camera I may just go with the pro still a great camera and will be able to hold my phone w one hand lol. It’s a hard choice
I know I’m having the same tough choice.. I’ve always gotten the big iPhone since they’ve started making them and this year I was going to stick with the new 6.1” since it’s such a nice size (5.8 last year was too small) and so far after 24 hours of using the pro I love the size. The better camera is what’s getting me with the Pro Max. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
i don't think that should hinder yo from getting it unless you do not have a phone at all and need one urgently. the releases are just a few weeks apart
I thought I was all set to upgrade from my Iphone 8 plus to an iohone 12pro mostly for size) and now I'm thinking the regular iphone 12 is more cost effective. Thanks so much for this video. It was a lot to digest but it definitely gave me more to think about.
@@Harpe71 - I used the 5 for years, then gave it to my mother (after getting the warranty battery replacement) who we just got a new one right before the shutdown in March. When I got it back, I was enjoying how it felt in my hand....
Great analysis. I had to read another 6 articles to come to these conclusions, but you covered all the critical points in one short video with clear explanations. Good job!
I’m considering it too I’m also gonna start working for the first time ever so I’ll finally pay for my own phone but idk if that’s the best idea yet since idk how this whole paying the phone thing really works but I got time to think of course and for now I’m thinking that I might lol
Yeah I'm upgrading from the 7, which I believe only has 2GB ram, and a pretty lousy battery. Since the non-pro 12 would cost me $880 after 128GB storage upgrade, paying $120 for a more premium build, telephoto lens, and 2 more GB of ram feels worth it. Plus that Pacific Blue is pretty dope.
I'm kind of inclined to agree with you. I was leaning towards the regular iPhone 12, but the extra RAM in the 12 Pro will better future proof the phone, as whatever phone I decide to get, I plan on keeping it for 2 or 3 years minimum . 5G will too, but that's available on all iPhone 12 models, and I think 5G benefits won't be fully realized for a couple of years at least.
I've been with android for a couple of years now and fancied a change. I was torn between the 12 and 12 pro but decided to go with the 12. I have since watched this video and really happy I made the decide on jusy the 12
I feel you, getting the Pro 12 regular, For those reasons, premium feel with the stainless and hopefully the 6ram, and yeah I like that you don’t even feel it in your pocket, Max might be too big when trying to be sneaky at work and stuff lol
I'm 6' 4" 280 Lbs and have very large hands. I need the largest screen size possible and will be getting the Pro Max. I think you left this aspect out. Although I loved all your information. Thank You. Time to move on from my iPhone 6 Plus.
Which iPhone 12 to buy? Easy! Want a small phone? Get the 12 Mini. Want the big screen and/or cool tech features? Get the 12 Pro Max. The regular 12 and the 12 Pro are just a weird middle ground that makes no sense to me.
First- Excellent video as usual! Second- I’m real torn here between the Pro/Max. On the one hand, I think 6.1” is the perfect size for a phone, and the 6.7” is just a MAMMOTH, and would definitely be a hassle to carry around and use with single hand. On the other hand, the presumable jump in camera quality is huge over the regular Pro and the battery life also way better. Of course money is not the issue because it will be my iPhone for the next 4 years and I’m getting 256gb for that. What should I do?!
I have a 6s+ and the body is only like 0.2 inches smaller than the Pro Max. In my experience, it’s not a small phone but it’s never been a hassle to carry around or even use with a single hand. And that is coming from a girl with reasonably small hands. I was quite set on the regular 6.1 but now I think I might go for the Pro Max cause I plan to keep it as long as I did this one so just like you, I don’t care about the price difference.
@@tadasbaltrusaitis8187 Yeah same here... but then why not just the regular 12? Wish they equaled the cameras in both top tier. This 2nd best camera quality drives me nuts. Absolutely a dirty move from apple’s.
@@NirIAF im going for pro mainly for future proof 6gb of ram is the main reason, i have currently iphone 7 for more than 4 years, im going too keep this device for similar amount of time
@@tadasbaltrusaitis8187 I also got the 7 but for 3 years. I also skipped the 7Plus for it’s massive size and bezels. I think I will just have to wait to the comparison reviews and actually going to the store and hold’em up in my hands to see how each of them feels. If the Max’s size will be tolerate-able, I think I’ll go with it because cameras+battery.
Hey small hands here. I just upgraded 6 days ago from a Samsung Galaxy S6 to iPhone 12 Pro Max. Theres built in features for people with small hands. On your keyboard you can hold down the emoji symbol and change your keyboard to the left or right side so your one thumb can get to all the keys. On your home screen you can swipe down at the bottom of the screen and it will pull your entire home screen down so you can get to the notification center or control center with one finger. Hope this helps my fellow small hands, the 12 pro max is absolutely amazing
For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige. One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!". Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs. I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.
iPhone SE 2020 is a ripoff. I had it for under a year, and it started randomly shutting of on me for no reason! I had to hard reset it to get it back on every time! The Genius Bar told me there was nothing wrong with it so my warranty wouldn’t cover it. Total bullshit! My best guess is that the phone used pretty much all iPhone 8 parts with the A13 Bionic processor. The phone battery wasn’t equipped to handle the faster processor and it shut off. This also cause my battery health to drain quicker as well. In under a year it was at 90% capacity!! It took my iPhone 7 at least a full year and a half to get there!

But are you really using your phone while it’s “wirelessly charging?” Looks to still be connected to a wire.
But I guess everyone is like that with some problem solving in various areas :)
But, MagSafe and other wireless chargers would solve that problem
@@RennieAsh I’m not talking about lint - repeated use can wear out the hooks that hold the charger in place. Not to mention the charger itself tended to wear out and oxidize on the connectors. The wireless charger prevents all of that.
I’ve got a small hand I really don’t like pro max models but i desire the functionality in posesses.
Same here, I dislike how it fits in the pocket specially with a hard case. But the functionality is hard to ignore when you’re talking about a thousand dollar plus purchase. 🙄

Man I use iPhone X and it sometimes restarts after 1 app switch....
iPhone 12 vs the 12 Pro; I feel like the pro actually has more value due to Apple expanding the Pro's base storage to 128, while keeping it the same price. If comparing storage options, then it ends up as $850 vs $1,000. The features on the Pro seems like it could outweigh the $150 price difference
I am getting the Pro 128GB pacific blue.

How much is the 12 promax ?
I’m one of the people that voted iPhone 12 Pro. I’ve always used the big iPhones but after developing some painful issues in my hands I’m finding my current Max a pain to use 😉. For my usage 4gb of ram doesn’t cut it anymore, the 6gb will be a relief. I’ll be disappointed if the Pros don’t come with more ram. I use the telephoto lens more than the wide and thankfully all of the lenses see an improvement just not nearly as much as the Pro Max. Great video and much appreciated
For real, I kinda wanted the pro max but its wayyyy too big
What do you use all that ram for ?

Since the non-pro 12 would cost me $880 after 128GB storage upgrade, paying $120 for a more premium build, telephoto lens, and 2 more GB of ram feels worth it. Plus that Pacific Blue is pretty dope.
If u want more ram then go android lol
I'm kind of inclined to agree with you. I was leaning towards the regular iPhone 12, but the extra RAM in the 12 Pro will better future proof the phone, as whatever phone I decide to get, I plan on keeping it for 2 or 3 years minimum . 5G will too, but that's available on all iPhone 12 models, and I think 5G benefits won't be fully realized for a couple of years at least.

There’s no list. This is it.
Im also having the same dilema, tempting for regular pro, because too big screen is deal breaker, i prefer confortability over a bit bether camera
I have a 6s+ and the body is only like 0.2 inches smaller than the Pro Max. In my experience, it’s not a small phone but it’s never been a hassle to carry around or even use with a single hand. And that is coming from a girl with reasonably small hands. For me that’s the 12 mini but I’m staying with my 11
For me, it's the McChicken.

You really help me a lot. I actually decided to buy 12 Pro and with your information I changed my mind to 12 . Thank you mate.❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
I’m getting the 6’1 regular iPhone 12 can’t wait 😍
iPhone SE 2020 is a ripoff.
I think they are losing their charm, back in the days they used to be the pioneers of cell phones and their phones release was very much waited for, but nowadays they release too many different phones close to each other which are basically identical to the old ones and do exactly the same old things that other phones been doing for a long years, no innovation whatsoever, at this point people buy iPhones just because they are familiar with them and they aren’t ready to try other phones so they stay loyal but there isn’t anything special about them really 🤷🏽♀️ speaking from a die hard iPhone user since 2009
Catchmeifyoucan Exactly the mistakes they made under Scully and run the company before jobs came back and paired everything down to four products

They need to have as many segments covered because they are counting on services and accessories after selling their devices. The strategy changed two years ago.
Love the IPhone 12 Pro Max features EXCEPT the size. I’m a tall guy with large hands but I can’t imagine it being comfortable to carry in my pockets. I still have the IPhone X and think that size is perfect👌🏽
literally same man, im 6'2 with fairly large hands but the 12 pro seems like the ideal size for me, I have no clue how I would fit the pro max in my pockets.
Same situation. Don’t want to regret getting a phone that’s just too big
I have my eyes on the iPhone 12 pro max
Same
Ok....
Same.
same but i'm broke
@SuperPunch76 My wallet is saying kidneys
I had a iPhone 6s from 2017-(late) 2021,then bought a iPhone 8 for $200,later got a my mom’s old iPhone 12 Pro,really loving the phone and the battery life compared to my iPhone 6.
Went with the 12 pro because I went from 6S Plus to XS and could never go back to the large size.
I was really planning to get iPhone 12 this year but the Pacific blue and gold colour of 12 pro is soooo attractive to me. Tough decision to make for the first time. Usually I'll get the pro version but this year iPhone 12 was so close to it.
Amazing how a color can guide your $400 (taxes included) dollar upgrade decision
@@indialanticrob508 it's 250 more in my country. Color was just one of reasons. I haven't make up my mind yet though.
Really helpful video.
Not at all...
Indeed very helpful he broke it down really well for each phone
Great Fuckin Video... no BS... informative and factual points...
9:02 “you gonna LOVE the iPhone 12 mini, since its smaller and therefor better, for people with small hands” showing a giant, having a hand almost as big as his head
Certain circumstances have me upgrading from my 11 pro max, I actually want a smaller iPhone and don’t care about the camera improvements so I’ll be going with the regular 12 model.
Why ? Is the Pro max too big ?
Very dumb, but ok
Yep, way too big.
android users just got finessed into watching a 13 minute ad for apple products.
Lucky them!
Apple Loyalist: Upgrade to any iPhone and you'll be happier.
Android user: Nah... They're too expensive.
