    Excellent video and advice. Can these tight muscles contribute to headaches? Do you have any thoughts on the "figure 8" type posture correcter devices (i.e. do they do any good or just hold the shoulders back)?

    Being a man in my mid 50's and after having an operation to remove what was left of my L4 and L5 disc after more than pleading my case to have a MRI done for more than 5 years i was also further diagnosed a few years later with in short, multi level Cervical Spondylosis in 2015 which i can assure anyone who reads this is the most agonising and life changing of conditions.
    I can relate most of my spine probs to the work i did long ago on the North sea oil rigs.
    Though please you younger people pay heed to this man as i hear about young people getting " txt neck " which is surely a pre cursor to a life of bad neck issues!.
    You do not want to end up like me in to much pain to even function most days.

      Feel your pain. Similar experience but due to whiplash injury. So frustrating when one has to beg to have an MRI done. Most people know when something is seriously wrong in their body. I too worry about the younger folk.

    In the past couple of years, I've been referred to the pain clinic and to 2 physios but not one has provided these exercises to resolve my shoulder/neck pain. Thank you for explaining so clearly. I look forward to pain free days in the future.

    Dear Sir ,I have Erbs palsy on left arm during birth .
    From 11 yrs I am suffering with painful spasms ,knots ,tightness over my arms upper, middle back .
    Can't manage to do all exercises.
    I hav only one working hand which has Rt Supraspinatus partial thickness tear and have multilevel degenerative disc disease in Cervical 3,4,5,6, and Thoracic 3 to 9.I am always in extreme pain but have to use my right hand in pain as no other choice۔
    Epidural, facet joint injections in the beck didn't help.
    How to do such exercises when u can't take ur left arm up.
    I also have trapped nerves.
    Pain is so severe that I can't manage doing exercises and the disability( palsy) on the left arm makes it impossible.

    I did 2 MRI’s one for my lumbar and one for my cervical spine and an nvc/emg it showed I have mild spondolyosis and a pinched nerve but my doctor said everything I have is mild but I explained to him I’m experiencing severe pain and it happens constantly even when I’m resting and all the areas you listed in the video are always in pain for me even though nothing really showed in the MRI and my arms are always numb,,why is that??

    • @penguinista
      @penguinista 2 года назад

      Even a small pinch of a nerve can cause a lot of pain and disfunction. Sounds like the doctor could use a little help with their bedside manner if you felt like they were dismissing your experience. To a doctor, "mild" might just be in comparison to what they see at other times, instead of a statement about what it is like to endure it. I'm sorry you had that kind of interaction and hope you figure out how to un-pinch that nerve.

      Faten Ahmad - Possible nutritional deficiencies are also one of the reasons for hands-fingers/feet-toes getting numb, pinching, pains etc. Do you have high sugar? Please look up Vitamin B12 or Benfotamine supplements, also check for the root cause of the condition. Take care!
