They burned the old heroes to the ground and even though they had a lot of potential (who didn't want to see Fin become a badass Jedi) they gave us sloppy, lazy writing throughout the new movies and these shows. Such a waste.

Jeremy mentioning they might retcon Shmi Skywalker and make her a witch filled me with dread.
They won't. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Force conception isn't some crazy new idea that breaks canon, it's obviously very rare and they didn't do a good job considering Osha is incredibly weak in the force. The Witches weren't shown as being good and the Jedi being flawed is nothing new considering this is over 100 years before the prequels. Just because this one specific tiny cult has a different interpretation of the force doesn't mean the entire universe has changed, it's a small side story that takes place completely outside of the skywalker saga
@@ethanhaynes7406bro it directly violates the sacred idea of anakin being a one of a kind one off of the force directly intervening to balance itself without being manipulated

"At Blackrock we are forcing behaviours" - Laurence D. Fink
I would love to post the video of him saying that on every social media app!
Reverse psychology is a technique involving the assertion of a belief or behavior that is opposite to the one desired, with the expectation that this approach will encourage the subject of the persuasion to do what is actually desired.
---Example: Assert Marxist ideologies in such a way you will force people to reject them in favor of Conservative ideologies in retaliation.
A Controlled Opposition is a protest movement that is actually being led by government agents. Nearly all governments in history have employed this technique to trick and subdue their adversaries, notably Vladimir Lenin who said, "The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves."
So the pendulum swings, now violently, now slowly; and every institution not only carries within it the seeds of its own dissolution, but prepares the way for its most hated rival.
William Ralph Inge
"Democracy and the Future" The Atlantic Monthly (March 1922)
Step one of the "Four Steps for Communist Ideological Subversion", Yuri Bezmenov, 1985.
Demoralization - this is a process which can take about 15-30 years to perform (a generation). *During this stage, the moral fibre and integrity of the country is put into question, thereby creating doubt in the minds of the people. To do so, manipulation of the media and academia is required to influence young people.* As the younger generation embraces new values, such as Marxism and Leninism, the older generation slowly loses control simply through attrition. Again, true facts no longer matter during this stage, but rather creating perceptions are of paramount importance.
Communism and Religion
Abolished - all religious and metaphysics is rejected. Engels and Lenin agreed that religion was a drug or “spiritual booze” and must be combated. *To them, atheism put into practice meant a “forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions.”*
---Atheism and Judaism are obviously not going to have all of the same morals, values and ethics as each other. Things the Torah condemns (homosexuality, shedding of innocent blood, which would include abortion, and transvestite/transgenderism) are praised by the Liberal Marxists while they condemn those who are against such things. Good becomes evil, evil becomes good in the Liberal Marxist worldview. This is why the good Jedi are seen as possibly being evil, and the evil Sith are possibly the good guys. Biblically, men are the leaders of nations and heads of the households, so naturally these Liberal Marxist feminists need to demonize men and elevate women (especially lesbians) every chance they get.
Eliminating American exceptionalism, fundamental change of national identity, structural deconstruction of foundational principles, elimination of religion. Embedding a new societal design upon the psyche of generations through ideological academia, peer pressure by elites upon academics and society to convince that prior values were inherently flawed, racist, prejudiced etc. National identity is diluted with aspersions toward historical references. *National History is re-written, re-defined, and molded to fit the new intended behavioral model and create the new values.*
---Star Wars is an established IP that is a huge part of our social, cultural and individual history here in the United States.
From BBC Arts:
In Munich, Adolf Hitler staged two exhibitions which defined the way we think about modern art. The Great German Art show displayed the artists he approved of, the Degenerate Art show displayed the artists he despised. In these two exhibitions, mounted side by side in adjacent galleries, the battle lines were drawn between traditionalism and modernism. It’s a battle that’s still being fought today.
Do you like art that’s realistic and reassuring? Or do you prefer art that’s experimental or disturbing? Maybe you like a bit of both - in which case, you’re like a lot of people who went to see these shows.
The Nazis wanted people to see both shows, but they didn’t want people to make up their own minds. The idea was to see the Degenerate Art show, and see how German art had been debased - and then see the Great German Art show, and see how the Nazis has redeemed it.
---Similarly, Conservatives want us to compare the traditional art to the modern art and come to the conclusion that Liberal Marxists have degenerated it, the conclusion being that "Everything that turns woke/Marxist turns to crap" and me must return to the traditional ways.
Larry Fink, and Orthodox Jew, is using Blackrock funding to assert "progressive" Liberal (Marxist) ideologies. Progressive Liberalism is fundamentally opposed to Orthodox Judaism and the Torah (Old Testament) and Talmud. Being an Orthodox Jew, what would be the goal of asserting Marxist ideologies? Leading the opposition to bring about their downfall.

So you have a surrogate mother which fixes the dialog, the male slave explains why no father, the and them being TWINS explains the specialty

The reason no one knows what jedi actually do in this era is because the writers of this show are actually so uninterested in world building, or even just star wars lore and practicality
They are also staying away from the council likely coz Yoda is grandmaster and is wiser than any of them, he likely has other top ranking masters along side him, many likely male who make the female characters looks pathetic along side them, so they just refuse to show the Jedi council and have the men that are in this show castrated morons, one of the male Jedi is obese for gods sake, and another is a balding neck beard
Unlike Andor. Still the crown jewel of Star Wars Shows.
Im watching through rn and im pretty impressed, if anything though I think the atmosphere is more fit for bladerunner than the star wars universe. Nonetheless, its nice to see a recent star wars show made with an actual clear vision
Corporate mind. Andor and Mandalorian (first two seasons) wre clearly made by actual fans with respect for the franchise. Mando started getting cameos which the fan base celebrated cuz we could tell the creators did it with care but Disney had their head inflated once again and chose to expend as much preexisting content as possible without care. I really hope Favreau’s Mando movie is able to tie this all together well cuz the franchise is in desperate need of it.
Honestly, Andor is the only live-action Star Wars series worth checking out

Why not? They destroyed the legacy the moment they decided Kylo.
You know what’s even worse? These writers don’t even have the guts to commit to it. They didn’t come out and say the twins were created with the force, they just strongly implied it, but they didn’t actually confirm or explain anything. Maybe they will in the rest of the season but then again maybe they won’t. They want to have their cake and eat it too, they want to imply the twins were created with the force, but also leave it vague enough where they can still retcon that if they change their minds.

Fav Star Wars experience of all time will probably forever be KOTOR 1 & 2.
The Jedi doing that is literally insane. From a lore perspective, Jedi will evaluate children at the wishes of the parents. The only conceivable way they would interfere after a parent said no, would be if the parent actually wanted it but were like forced against their will to say no. This exact scenario was introduced in the lore during the "Jedi Apprentice" book series.
Do they know that un-identical twins can’t grow up to me identical… ?
these are hollywood writers/producers/directors were talking about here. they likely barely passed high school and then went to a terrible liberal art college to learn screenwriting. They think fire can burn normally in space, and that you can set fire to stone and metal, they probably don't know what twins even are. they probably just think twins are twins, and think the two actresses they got to play the younger sisters are identical, because they cant see that they more than likely are non identical twins. These are likely people who all think a man in a dress is a woman. Knowing what twins are is beyond them.

@pureevilfnord no it's every star wars fan that isn't a disney shill or potentially has mental retardation to the point that he likes pew pew lasers instead of a coherent story
Sorry to break it to you, but people who create these movies and shows don’t give a shit about what “fans” want, nor should they. They are the creator of the show, they get to bring their own vision to life. I promise you George Lucas wasn’t thinking to himself “how can I please fans” during his creation of Star Wars. You need to get over yourself and accept that everything isn’t made to cater to your specific tastes. If you’re so sick of Star Wars, there’s plenty of other scifi/fantasy universes to get invested in.
Why though? Plenty of light saber swinging low attention span having fans will buy any slop that has a Star wars logo on it.
The Jedi dangling his lightsaber gives the same vibes as the Starship Troopers commercial of the kids fighting over the rifle.
Instead of staying true to the lore and themes of Star Wars, most who get their hands on the IP only care about subverting expectations and leaving their mark.
Oh, jeese, get over yourself. "True to the lore". It's a bunch of stories that have changed all kinds of things and just adapted on the go. George was essentially riffing in the originals...

That woman treats biggest franchise in the world as a joke.
Instead planning sequel trilogy in smallest details, she just said to every director to do with every movie what they want, not caring about continuity or destroying what came before. Let's not even begin with where STAR WARS is now.
It doesn't matter if she has some financial wins, those wins are because STAR WARS was back after 10 years, and by the time people gave up on it thanks to her.
Sure, Rogue One was great and Andor, first 2 seasons of Mando were good but it's all ruined in season 3 because she wanted Grogu back just to sell toys, even storywise there was no reason for bringing him back and everything where first 2 season led it was destroyed in season 3 because of her choices.
She is not storyteller, she should be in charge for producing and not for making story decisions.
She should give Filoni full power for canon stuff and bringing stories together, instead she said ''Do everyone anything you want''
There is no one reason this woman should stay.
She doesn't care about canon, she knows nothing about why STAR WARS was special....
She literally calls fans names for not liking sequel trilogy.
Well, how about giving Finn proper storyline and purpose?? How about writing Rey with a plan who she is?? Instead wasting great potential???
If we are what she calls us, why most of the fans love Leia, Ahsoka ( at least animated version ), Asajj Ventress, Padme, Lando Carissian, Mace Windu???
Don't use new actors as a shield if storytelling is terrible.
Or better to say, now when damage is already done and there is no coming back, let's have a proper laughs at her decisions and she should be an example to other studios how not to treat their fans and biggest franchises in the world....
No, she did have a plan and a directive. It's why so many directors quit and or were dropped.
Her directive was: Leftist activism, especially with forced feminist policies. Uncaring of the plot. So long as you promised this was at the forefront of your entire story, she was happy to just sit in her office and sniff her coke as you did whatever you wanted after that with the storyline.
