I HAVE TO SAY THIS IN CAPS. THIS IS THE ONLY EXERCISE THAT CURES 99.9% OF MY SHOULDER IMPINGEMENT PAIN THAT I SUFFERED FOR MORE THAN 3 YEARS. TONS OF TCM/THAI MASSAGES AND OTHER STUFF DID NOT WORK AT ALL. IT WAS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT SUCH SIMPLE EXERCISES WILL HELP BUT IT DID!! THANK YOU. TRY IT, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE. i believe the high rep count did play a part too.

Shoulder pain for over a year and a half. For a year I couldn’t lift anything over 3 lbs without pain. Tried everything - 4 chiropractors, orthopedist, 2 rounds of steroids. 4 days of doing this and the pain is almost gone! Thank you so much - what a blessing!!!!

TL;DR: Hang from a bar for 30 seconds, then do 30-45 reps of very light shoulder raises. Do 3x10 reps of grabbing a band and pulling it sideways with your thumb up, and 3x15 reps of pulling the band behind you.

Just hit a sick chest/back workout and for the first time in months didn't feel pain at all. Ive been doing the rotator cuff exercises with the band after hanging for 30 seconds and after like 2 weeks the pain is just gone, reduced to atoms. I do the Lu raises and front full rom exercises at the end and they been hitting too. If yall have pain like this, rest a few days so the inflammation calms down then listen to what he says. Happy to say im part of the 98% now 🙏🏼

Do other exercises but avoid putting direct stress on shoulder from bench press and shoulder press. Trust me take some rest and start pressing heavy again in two weeks painfree 🙂

I got the book by Dr. KIRSCH and after hanging with help from a stool, the severe pain was mostly gone. I gradually hung for longer and without assistance. Then I started the exercises with no weights, then 1 lb, 2 lb and 3 lb. It took 4 weeks of gradual increase in weights and repetitions... I have 100% improvement. It really works. I must say that I had to do the work in small incremental increases. I now just do 20 reps of each exercise with 3 lbs.

I just want to say a big thank you! I play tennis, and recently my playing shoulder has been hurting a lot. I have tried two days of hanging from my stair banister. The first day my shoulder was really sore. On the second day, I played tennis. The pain has reduced substantially, hardly felt any pain while I was playing and the same afterward. This is the best my shoulder has felt for months! So, I had to take the time and say thanks.

What's important here is that these exercises, while simple to understand and perform, actually work. Even if you do them sporadically you'll experience relief from your shoulder pain. You willsee vast improvement over short periods of time but I can attest, while it took some effort, they cured my shoulder impingement once and for all . Thank you very much Dr. Milton.

I did every single exercise in this video as recommended, the dumbell shoulder raises were exceptionally difficult, after 1 day a six month constant pain skiing injury has ZERO PAIN or CRUNCHING, this is the best video Ive ever seen, hanging for 30 seconds x10 almost cut my fingers as a Weigh 114 kg, so I recommend buying exercise gloves for this...

  • @4runners496

I had a shoulder impingement. It was the most painful experience you can ever imagine. Simply lifting your arm past a certain point (horizontal in my case) will drive you to your knees in pain. The worse is you cannot sleep because it is natural to lift your arms during sleep. The best exercise for this is to rest it so It doesn't get worse. Hopefully it will clear and you will not need surgery. The surgery is no picnic either. A long recovery of about 9 months... If you feel bursa pain coming on from a real impingement, rest it, don't aggravate it.

All I can say is that I had sharp shoulder pain that bothered me for months and I thought I would have to essentially get surgery in order to have it fixed but as soon as I tried these exercises, I could instantly feel a tremendous amount of difference. Two months after I've been doing these exercises regularly, my shoulder pain is completely gone. Now, I am doing exercises I wasn't able to do due to this nasty injury.

I might be getting ahead of myself but after trying these four exercises for the first time just a few minutes ago I already see improvements. My pain was most noticeable when I'd do the common motion of raising my arm to check the time on my wristwatch. Even that motion, especially when trying to raise my arm/elbow above shoulder level, was excruciating. So even though it's a tender motion (first day after all) my range of motion doing that is already massively improved. Will definitely include this routine as early as I can every morning, thank you!

However.... The exercises you show with the dumbells.... I'm 42 years old, in decent shape, and there's no way I could do that many reps. The exercises themselves are great, but if you have time, maybe drop in an edit to let folks know it's ok to not use dumbbells and/or do fewer reps.

Many thanks for another great video!
Just one thing I can not understand yet: Doesn't hanging pull the upper arm bone maximally against the shoulder roof so it directly minimizes subacromial space and pinches every structure there (ligaments, tendons, bursa, ...)??? (At least during this kind of hanging aka "dead hang" where the shoulder blades go maximally up due to disengaged lower traps). Would be more than happy if you could briefly explain where I'm supposing wrong.

Injured my rotator cuff years ago always had problems with it since with little improvement with stretching. Loss of mobility and pain. Hang on a regular basis as it did help but the second exercises did it during the video without weights the first time and already had an increase in mobility with no pain. Have continued since. Thank you
