I'm not over 50 but these were great.. I have to say thankyou for the tips on the all fours about it's ok to do in the bed And use the cushion; ... because my knee was hurting so it was good to know I could put a pillow under it when kneeling.. When I did that kneeling shoulder stretch it did hurt my under arm on the outer side in alignment with the armpit if that makes sense.. And when I table top stretch it hurt the inner front of my actual shoulder.. I don't know what this means could be going on.. Any advice or tips where to turn from here?
Had trouble with both shoulders for over a year. My daughter showed me your site and it’s made a Hugh difference. Am now pain free and get my arms above my shoulders. Thank you very much. It was starting to impact my work.
Hello Brad And Mike! ... Thank You Both For Explainng And Showing Exactly How These Exercises Should Be Performed!! ... YAY!!! .. Much Appreciated!! ... These Exercises Are Exactly What We All Need! .. Please Let Bob Know That We All Miss Him And His Amazing Sense Of Humor!! ... 🥰
After going physical therapy appointments for weeks, with little improvement, this is the most helpful set of exercises to improve this painful debilitating condition. Thank you so much!
I am nearly 77 and still trying to free my frozen shoulder. After 2 years because of a broken humerous in between. I will make it. With encouragement with videos like this.
Thank you! Works great for loosening my shoulders! I had a bicycle wreck last summer and I am just now getting back to normal. This stretch exercise is wonderful at starting my day!
I was diagnosed with 'frozen shoulder' years ago. "Will go away by itself" said my PC. 6 yrs later saw different Doctor - was given aqua therapy, pain patches and pills. 2 yrs later, new PC sends me to Orthopedic; "replace shoulder due to arthritis". I was shocked & refused! Ortho gave me PT, insisting I would need replacement surgery. PT helped reach & lessened pain (only 12 sessions in 6weeks). I'm going to try your exercises (doable at home). Thank you. I think the Ortho Dr is "cut happy". P.S. I'm 72 yrs old.
I am 69 and and have been working on my shoulders for 3 years. I still do the W 5 times a day and hang from a bar, good shoulder sleep habits and do bench press and military press with new PRs every week not a 100% but really a lot better. McKenzie Method neck and shoulder before lifting. still grateful to Bob be well dude.
I'm 54 and when I'm in pain I've been doing this type of hyperextension for less than 5 minutes for over 10 years. I see relief from the first minute. I'm sure if I follow your advice on a daily basis, my shoulder movements will be much better. Thank you!
A friend of mine (CRNA), recommended you fellas to me. I'm recovering from broken clavicle and dislocated shoulder. Thank you for all the great information you're putting out 🙌
Wow ...just hit 66 & never thought my new minor issues from little shoulder pinges when bra & reaching, upper arm up neck etc, were shoulder related, even though injured it in 80s! Did this & feel everything you described, thank you, AGAIN ❤🎉
Wow Brad, I thought you were in your late 40's..no joke! Must be all the exercise you do! I'm so grateful to you 3 for these exercises today, my pain levels are nauseating today so these will really help ❤ Wish I lived over the pond as I'd travel for your expertise treatment..why Brad..whyyyyy? 😅Great job Mike 👏
Brad & Mike, thanks ever so much for providing us these wonderful shoulder exercises!!! Color me grateful that at my age (definitely over 60 😅), left shoulder pain is the only (due to all your extraordinary wonderful Bob & Brad videos over the years 🤩) discomfort I’m experiencing, so this video will improve my life! 👏👏🥰
Thanks Brad & Mike.🤩 I watch Bob & Brad videos from time to time, 🤩 but this video is the best for me. 🤩 The video even helped me to understand I have a frozen shoulder. A frozen shoulder is very painful; and I was planning to see the physiatrist and to have therapy. Now, I will just do these shoulders exercises.
Bob & Brad, You make me feel this video was made just for me. One year after I cycled onto a stone wall, my right arm and shoulder still hurt. Fingers crossed.
Thank you so much I have had left back shoulder pain since early summer. It went out lifting dumbbells. The shoulder stretches you did are amazing and have taken virtually all the pain away! Believe me I have tried everything I could think of and the exercises you did in this video are amazing. May Yehovah the God of heaven and earth bless all that you do!!!😊
Thanks Brad & Mike, most helpful addition to my exercise routines. Shout out to Bob too 👍Having dislocated my shoulder to many times to remember I'm conscious of arthritis setting in so I am constantly exercising and still riding BMX dispite my age😂
Could you do a series of videos that focuses on exercises for people with hyperextension? I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and feel having these videos would be really helpful to our community.

Oh, thanx. My shoulder was locked, so I couldn't lift my left arm more than 45°, but after these careful exercises, I can now lift it again 👏👏👏🤩 Not without a little pain, but I have no doubt it works 👏👏👏☺️
I need a operation called "shoulder flip" Will these exercises help with my shoulder and also maybe help with the pain I have in the shoulders? I cannot get surgery for a while because I am having total knee replacement in my right knee in June. I thank you for any information and I love your videos. Always so helpful.
You look great to be over 60!!!❤❤❤ thanks for these videos you guys are amazing if there is tightness in the rib cage and tightness in the glutes should I loosen the lower back as I do it? You guys have helped so much ❤sending blessing your way
Hey Bob & Brad and Mike! Love your videos, I've been following you for a long time! I stretch shoulder by reaching top of door frame. I'm 5'8" and it's a perfect height. My Ortho says I'll need shoulder replacement because of lost cartilage, hoping to keep motion going to postpone the surgery time.
I was told by my massage person just yesterday that my scapula & shoulder were locked together. So I will work on theses exercises and hopefully there will be a good amount of progress. Thank you for your videos😆
Could you do these exercises just by swimming. Seems like you would have the same range of motion? Love you guys and your light hearted approach to teaching! Blessings to all! 🙏❤💕⚘🙏⚘💕❤🙏
I had a diagnosis of a frozen shoulder, it has subsided but I can still feel the pain, but I will try these exercises and see how it turns out, thanks!
thanks for a great video Brad! just wanted to pass positive vibes and prayers, much love and greetings to Bob, miss him a lot and wishing him a smooth recovery! 🧡
I have had shoulder impingement for more than three years as a result of lifting some furniture, dumb I know. I had to stop my physical therapy due to loss of job but did not feel that much relief. The therapist explained that the stiffness in my upper arm comes from neck down to scapular area (which hurt when he would press in that area) and told me that pain would then be felt in my upper arm. My right shoulder sometimes clicks with pain. And that clicking sometimes happens in upper arm, it is as if the clicking moves in the arm. I am going to try these exercises but wonder if the grinding in my scapula will ever go away.
Thank you, Brad and Mike and Bob the Director! Recently, I am waking up with my arms over my head while lying on my back. When I try to reach straight up, I have pain in front of my shoulder. Any reasons and solutions? Thank you!

How's your shoulder now buddy? Consistency is key and be sure to look into vitamins for bones
I found lateral pull-down behind the head was helpful - not much weight as it’s about range of motion.

Nice BUT… what do you have for cognitively impaired patients who cannot understand fully how to complete these exercises?
Any shoulder exercises that an assistant can manipulate the patient’s body into to achieve similar stretches, relief, etc.?
We currently use over head hanging ( patient holds wood dowel above her head) and wall walking (starts in normal hunched over position [normal for patient] and the walks towards wall, “walking “ their hands up the wall as her body gets closer to the wall until she reaches a near fully erect position with her hands flat against the wall and above her head).
We will add this to our to do list!
