Exactly THIS is what a $3 million dollar car is supposed to look like. The similarly priced Lykan Hypersport is a hideously cheap looking joke for it's supposed price tag.
@@CodeineAbdulJabbar Exacly thats the only hyper car that I would bought if I would have money of corse. Its looking prestegius and well finished not some cheap plastic which cost milions
I have to give it to ya, Doug. YOUR Attention to detail, is on point, too. The back drop/background is absolutely perfect. Those garage doors are gorgeous along with the perfectly trimmed hedges and maintained flower beds give this amazing piece of machinery, the attention it deserves.
I'm so happy that Doug was able to film a video with the Huayra. I smiled for the entire 39 minutes. Also, how did a 3 million dollar car get a 6/10 in value?
If anybody's interested, take a look at Horacio Pagani's bio. That's some real street cred. He was born in Argentina, and his dream was to design supercars. He traveled to Europe without a cent, carrying a tent and a letter of recommendation by no other than F1 legend Juan Manuel Fangio that started with "This is only the second time ever I write a recommendation letter". That landed him a job in Lamborghini and the rest is history. Talk about pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps.
@theoddlyseagull5241 multimillionaires are not watching these (for the most part) they are driving these. Its us, the borke people that watch these videos.
Congratulations on driving that beauty. Very neat. I really loved mine, but I made the mistake of letting my wife drive it, and she filled up the ashtray! So she keeps the Huayra and I had to order a McLaren. Still waiting for it. Great video, all good wishes!
Hi Doug! I love your videos!! just a little contribution: "Huayra" means "wind" in the Quechua language, spoken by the natives from the north of Argentina, where Horacio Pagani was born. Cheers!
The guy's so amazed by the key and the "attention to details". That's funny because it's standard Mercedes key conceled in a piece of aluminum. The mercedes logo is still on it !
This car feels very…personable. You feel the company founder’s passion in all aspects of the car, from the aluminum cutout yo it’s dynamic design. Your not just a car buying if you buy this car, you are a fervent supporter of an artisan’s passion.
Of all the cars I've seen videos or read reviews of I have never in my life heard or read negatives or criticism of any Pagani ever made. They are simply perfection.
The Huayra will become a classic car in the future, it is a rare vehicle with a lot of attention to detail and good materials. This car doesn't focus on technology and the amount of touch screens that the interior can fit, it focuses on the quality of the car, driving experience and feeling. The design is timeless, absolutely fantastic. This car is like the continuation of the old and timeless Mercedes-Benz cars, it is stunning how Pagani focuses on the details and materials even in the 21st century, the Huayra is such an old-school made car.
I still use Yahoo for that. Last time I tried shifting over to Google, I forgot my password and no one was understanding I moved emails, anyway. Same email since 2004. Fuck it, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Here's one thing that Doug did end up mixing up. The Huayra isn't actually a supercar, but rather a hypercar. He mentioned supercar when talking about the extra compartment for vehicle registration, etc.
PGHWRX how could you not enjoy an exciting six thousand column-wide excel spreadsheet??? Can't you just feel the excitement in every AVG(A1:A420) formula
The Huayra reminds me of the Spyker C8 to a certain degree. They both have insane interiors, attention to detail, striking styling, aviation inspiration throughout, low production numbers and tons of exclusivity.
was wondering how a car could be $3m ......and then he opened the door to expose that interior....and then I'm like, "oh, yeah...I get it now". HOLY SHIT, that interior is hands down the coolest I've ever seen. As others have said it IS truly a masterful piece of art. Every nook and cranny of that thing is just amazing to the eye. So glad that this owner provided his car for you to review. Damn, what a treat to see!!
@@CgBrian yea it's kinda odd and he blames some of it on potential "reliability and parts availability". Well the engine is sourced from AMG and is a proven platform, as they've partnered up since the beginning of 2000. And parts availability? Every part is of so high quality that you won't ever need to get them replaced. It's not some Toyota where random parts malfunction or get worn down over time and need replacement. Every single button is machined from solid aluminium, and there isn't too much gizmo tech that can go wrong, no cheap components anywhere - and in the end it's not a car that's gonna be driven for 100.000s of miles. This car honestly deserves a 10 in quality, it is the absolute epitome of attention to detail and quality of every single component - and NO OTHER CAR IN HISTORY has ever come close to this. Not one. Not the Chiron, not the Koenigseggs, absolutely nothing. Doug really cheaped out on that one. Also, I know beauty is partly in the eye of the beholder, but this car is truly stunning inside and out, and every single little detail has been given more attention than most economy cars get for their entire vehicle. This is a 10/10 car and truly deserves perfect 50 score in weekend category, and the quality score honestly should put it above the Chiron in the chart.
@@Real_MisterSir are you kidding me? The koenigsegg rs1 has way more attention to detail not to mention they engineer and create every piece and component of the car themselves inhouse.
In case you don't know, Horacio Pagani is argentinian, then as an adult went to Italy and worked for Lamborghini, after that he founded several companies.
how are you gonna give a Huayra a 7 in quality but a Carrera GT a 9? by citing limited production so parts could be scarce? The CEO signs everything and treats his customers like royalty, I'm pretty sure he'd get you whatever part you needed, probably by free overnight shipping
@@johnniewalker39 probably not sure, but quality? Its literally the best quality of any car he has reviewed in my opinion, and probably is as "hard to get parts" as a carrera gt or a 918...
FindTher Pagani isn’t a big company like Porsche. They don’t have a lot of dealers and service departments like Porsche does, because of this parts can be scarce so yes I agree with that quality part.
Shame that doug never talks about sound system performance. Those speakers look so nice. Edit: if it is a part of the car, it should be part of the rewivew.
You can review speakers without having to make us hear them too. He can just tell his opinions. Or, if you really want, there is a thing called "royalty-free music" out there. But yea, it'd be nice if Doug would review the sound system too, even if he has to mute the parts of him listening to it and just have a voice-over.
this car is gorgeous jesus. the more i look at it the crazier and more beautiful it looks. everything part of the car is art. the gauges, the speakers, the lights and launch control. more of a piece of art than a track car
are you kidding, 40 minutes is nothing on this car, he could fill easily an hour with the details and quirks and features. I was actually disappointed of how much he left out.
I always wondered about these Pagani. I do believe Pagani makes 100% of the car, no outsourcing (and why the price tag). Really cool you got to drive it, never have seen one even driven before. Really cool car, Pagani's eye for detail is incredible.
Yeah except it borrows an engine from Mercedes AMG. If they made their own engines, it would be perfect. For that reason, I consider Koenigsegg to be the king of hypercars. The engine is the heart of the car.
@@DonDon45-i5h I agree, but it does take some of the prestige of the car away when it's using another brands powertrain. Some of Koenigsegg's powertrains are marvels of the automotive world and they are also a very small company. So I have to deduct points away from Pagani until they finally make their own engines. Regardless, the Huayra is still one of my cars of all time. The exterior look is so gorgeous, the interior design with all the brushed aluminum and 50's aircraft aesthetic is just awesome. Of course the AMG engine does roar and sounds brilliant, even if I wish they'd make their own.
@@toxicgracie3772 Koenigsegg and Bugatti are so overrated, at this point their just performance cars that you can’t really daily. I can see a Aston Martin and a Pagani being a daily driver or a weekend car. I don’t see what so bad about Pagani using a V12 from Mercedes, when the McLaren F1 used a V12 from BMW. Or when VW design and made the W16 for the Veyron and the Chiron, so why should it be a problem for Pagani to make their own engines when Bugatti doesn’t do the same?
I’ve always been a fanboy of pagani. I just feel like they give you the rawest version of what a super car should be in everyone’s eyes. Fast, low, with loud music. And it’s one of those things were it’s like, okay yeah it ain’t got cruise control. Yeah it ain’t got blond spot detection or lane departure warning, but you wanna know what it does have? Attention to detail and a level of a personal touch your average everyday Ford Fusion that was built on an assembly line doesn’t have. Pagani wasn’t worried about building numbers because they wanted to ensure that everyone who got one of these felt like they themselves built it, and any car manufacturer like that gets an A+ in my eyes
By far my dream car. Giant reliable Mercedes V12 (with singing turbos!!), Undeniably beautiful design, active aero and a gorgeous, artful interior. Sheer vehicular ART. 🐐
@@robertboden8406 I mean, yes but actually no Most commercial airliners have wings that slightly flex under stress. You're right though, control surfaces, not wings.
I'd think they're probably easier to keep clean and in decent shape than typical cloth floor mats..and I don't think most ppl would be a fan of using any rubber/weather tech kinda mats hahaha
I'd treat this thing like a boat. I'd keep special white shoes in the car just to drive it and I'd take off my street shoes when I get in and put them back on when I get out. The shoes in this car will never touch the ground.
No other hyper-car comes close to have the soul, passion, emotion and personality of a Pagani. The "toy car" key is more than just a cool detail, it awakens and invites the kid in you to ride along.
Doug, you REALLY should film the driving using a Head-Mounted Action Camera, So We can see the gage cluster with speed and RPM, not Only your face! It is an Advice for an AWESOME Channel!
Something that you may not have thought about where the engine hrs gauge is concerned, is that if you crunch a few numbers, you can get some pretty interesting stats on that particular car, including but not limited to average speed at which the car was driven! So in essence, you can get at least some idea of how much or how little "abuse" was inflicted upon the car. Let's say that the car has 1,000 miles on it and 6 hrs of engine time. Although 1,000 miles is VERY low mileage, those were some HARD MILES!

I'm so happy that Doug was able to film a video with the Huayra. I smiled for the entire 39 minutes. Also, how did a 3 million dollar car get a 6/10 in value?

Hahahah well, I guess it gives you a damned *LOT* for the $3mil.

The koenigsegg rs1 has way more attention to detail not to mention they engineer and create every piece and component of the car themselves inhouse.

how are you gonna give a Huayra a 7 in quality but a Carrera GT a 9? by citing limited production so parts could be scarce? The CEO signs everything and treats his customers like royalty, I'm pretty sure he'd get you whatever part you needed, probably by free overnight shipping
Are you "pretty sure" about that ?
@@johnniewalker39 probably not sure, but quality? Its literally the best quality of any car he has reviewed in my opinion, and probably is as "hard to get parts" as a carrera gt or a 918...
FindTher Pagani isn’t a big company like Porsche. They don’t have a lot of dealers and service departments like Porsche does, because of this parts can be scarce so yes I agree with that quality part.
Can parts availability go hand in hand with Quality i just don't get it.

The Hauyra is the absolute pinnacle of what a hyper car should be to me!!
Yeah except it borrows an engine from Mercedes AMG. If they made their own engines, it would be perfect. For that reason, I consider Koenigsegg to be the king of hypercars. The engine is the heart of the car.
@@toxicgracie3772 Mercedes’ engines are some of the best
@@DonDon45-i5h I agree, but it does take some of the prestige of the car away when it's using another brands powertrain. Some of Koenigsegg's powertrains are marvels of the automotive world and they are also a very small company. So I have to deduct points away from Pagani until they finally make their own engines. Regardless, the Huayra is still one of my cars of all time. The exterior look is so gorgeous, the interior design with all the brushed aluminum and 50's aircraft aesthetic is just awesome. Of course the AMG engine does roar and sounds brilliant, even if I wish they'd make their own.
@@toxicgracie3772 true
I agree!! I have a goal in my life and it is to own a Pagani
