Thanks so much for this video, I’ve driven around without a Speedo for 3 years until today!
Thanks man! Exactly the same issue on a friends van. Thanks to your video an easy fix. It was even the same pins that got cracked solder.
Thanks so much mate!
Saved me £80 to no doubt have someone do just what you did!
:)
If you reach around to behind the cluster and wiggle the plug on the back you will find it will come good, works for me every time. Im going to try putting a shim down the side of the plug to tighten every thing up. The loom is too tight and it reaches horizontally with no support to the cluster and is pulling the plug out of contact. While cracked I dont think that this would make the solder lose continuity. It is deffinately the plug
Thanks a lot, man! I have/had the same issue, same model. I just fixed all the solderings and will install now and check it. But I'm confident. My solderpins had the same issue.
Nice video, would you happen to know why the engine light doesn't light up when ignition is turned on?
Carried out this repair today
Thanks for the comment 👍

Careful with needles position. Mark it beforehand. Especially the speed. My temperature now indicates 60+°C degrees when it's supposed to show just below 90°C.... Not the end of the world. It can be readjusted. Recommended to check the speed with any other "calibrated" vehicle in front of you after the "procedure" to see whether you are on the spot.
All my dials work but speed is showing high, when doing 60mph it shows 120mph any idea what this fault could be please ?
Have same issue on my van can you fix it for me please
hi, stupid question but could i potentially do this procedure with clocks out of a mk6 petrol van ?
Any idea why the small screen would go blank on a 2016 gage, no trip advise/info/setup
How do I get the needles back right lol I can't seem to do it hahah
How you put back pointers, i have same problem with mk6, its need something tools or not.?
I would take a pic of the pointer positions. Also you could mark with a small piece of masking tape along the straight edge thanks for the comment and I hope this helps
Anyone tried this on a mark 7 Transit ?
All lights and both screens are flashing non stop on mine. It has been soldered and also has had processor changed but still exactly the same. When it is plugged into another transit it does the same thing. Has anyone come across this fault? People tell me it's common on transits
well .. my soldering is pretty shoddy ..but this made no difference . so any one know how to fix the lcd displays .. i have missing and partial digits displayed
Pulled my clock off and put it on the radiator overnight. Now all my digits are full but my fuel Guage is dead. It wasn't working properly anyway it was giving random readings but now it's not moving at all
You are god
