I would like to add a much better tip for Mergos wet nurse. The black fog attack is actually an AOE attack that you can dodge, skipping that whole faze.
My tip as a self-proclaimed Bloodborne expert: "When people tell you to play aggressive, I don't think you understand just how aggressive they mean. For the big beast bosses and hunters, play so offensively that it makes Sekiro players look like they're wearing Havel's Armour."
I didn't notice that until trying to beat that girl behind first floor sick room I forget her name but going balls to the walls like I was on crack is the only way I got through the fight, being patient and cautious is what got me killed the countless times it took
Cannon can’t be infused with blood gems making the Evelyn (or equivalent) far superior not only dealing more damage(using bone ash) but costing less and being shot faster.

Tip for Logarius: You can stagger him by doing a charged R2 behind him while he charges himself for phase 2. Doing that will make it so he never buffs himself and can still be staggered. Doesn't stop his moveset from changing, however. Also, Blood-Starved Beast: Just do what Beyonce says. "To the left, to the left."

0:02 Imagine getting mad over a spoiler warning lol. Far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter how old a game is, so long as there's people who haven't played it but are interested in playing it and don't want spoilers, spoiler warnings are necessary even for games that have been out 20 years or more.
How are spoilers warning necessary after a video game has a lot of time out there? I haven't played Sekiro, if I search a video about it it, most of them will have spoilers, obviously, so I will try to search videos with no spoilers There're literally no reasons for a spoilers warning about a game that has some time out there
@@LeonColvet So long as there's people who haven't played a game, are interested in and wanting to play it, and want to experience the story for themselves, spoiler warnings are necessary and very much appreciated. Besides its like 2 seconds of "warning spoilers ahead", its not like its interrupting the video to talk about raid annoying legends for 3 minutes.
I just wanna say thanks for all these videos. I just started playing Bloodborne after beating all the Dark Souls and have found your content to be fucking hilarious, and super helpful! Appreciate what you do brother!
I’m so glad you made this I thought no one except me still played bloodborne and I love the other blood borne vids and thought there was going to be no more but I was wrong and now I’m happy
Honestly, The thing I love with the gascoigne fight is that weakness to fire. especially when playing Arcane builds, molotovs do so much more damage! Other than that I gotta try out the bsb idea, I always do the molotovs at the start to keep them off me, then get slapped trying to keep a kind of chain going.
Don’t apologize for the spoiler alert. I just started playing BB last week and was looking for some tips on how to play here on yt without spoiling either the story or what bosses one will encounter. Didn’t watch your video, but I did smash the like button for the spoiler alert. Fair play.
Bro! I just started playing BB this month (mainly because I’ve never played a souls game and due to the cost of Elden Ring being higher than I want to pay right now, making the 19 dollar BB a much better choice) and your videos are EVERYTHING. Also, can you drop some of the outfits combos you have here? Especially during the Loran Darkbeast. That fit is sick.
Either my game is broken or I have the best RNG in the world. Ebreitas never shoots space lasers at me nor does she fly for me. My friend was whining about those things and I was so confused because I just buzzsawed her butt into a fine paste.
Technically, if you're like me and decided to do a skill build. Your visceral attack will do far superior damage to a charged r2 and molotov. Especially if you have low arcane
The dodging? Yeah that would explain why most people consider him the hardest boss in the game when for me the area he's in is a tougher opponent than him, and considering that's just a beach with a few rocks laying around, that's saying a lot...
What? No. The Blood Rapture trick. Although frankly I don't understand why anyone would play without Blood Rapture when it's one of only 3 ways to recover HP in this game.
Blood Rapture restores HP everytime you perform a visceral attack. When performing a visceral attack against Orphan of Kos during the first phase of the fight, you get four times the usual amount of health. That's why he zoomed in on his health bar.
@@BDeerhead just because? That seems like a weird mechanic/glitch... I do use it on some builds but tbh i usually go 20%+10% more visceral damage and 10% hp, still, even if i used rapture more i likely wouldn't have realized, as I can't think any reason why that should happen...
Owen Byrd always depends on your build and playstyle man, I played the dlc for the first time on ng+ with pure arc and the most difficult biss for me was Laurence, Ludwig wasn’t that bad.
depends on alot of things i bought the DLC after my new game so i played in ng+ i wasnt good enough and i died 45 times too ludwig mostly in second phases because the damage difference in a single new game completion is HUMANGOUS trust me in ng+ ludwig is a total diferrent BOSS * *btw i played ludwig in NG+4 and beat him in second try...its just seconds nature now
Lmao ion know how my 1st playthrough it took me maybe 15 or 20 tries on Ludwig but lady Maria I straight up 1st tried her with some mean parries and her health bar depleted before I could even think about the fight
Kinda opposite for me. I steamrolled Ludwig first try and maria took me about 4. I fought them for the first time on ng+, too. If that matters to anyone. Laurence killed me more than any of the bosses, even Kos. Laurence took about 9 tries while Kos took 6 or 7.
@@thatotherguy420 yeah, most of the bosses in the dlc seem to have movesets that require retreating to a distance at times. I made that mistake with maria, she was having none of me trying to spank her ass either. Ludwig actually went down so fast for me that I didn't even need to heal much... Maybe once.. Idk why or what I did but I wasn't joking when I said I steamrolled him. I used Ludwig's blade with bolt paper and two 20.3 gems and one 18% gem all tempering physicals. Each hit I did was doing 1200 damage flat plus the bolt paper and hidden modifiers, so I was doing 1500 damage with every swing, thrusts netting 2000ish. I didn't even break a sweat but I'll see what he's like on ng+3 soon, maybe it'll be different.
@@darkerdaemon7794 yea I jus went through wit that saw blade and dude like ripped me a new ass.. every other boss in the game wasn't doin me like dude did me lmao it was embarrassing tbh
Holy shit, am I dreaming? Just today I thought of giving Bloodborne another shot but thought 'eh I probably forgot most stuff and the bosses will gut me'. Just a few hours later, *Boom* . You deliver another great video with the EXACT the content I needed. You're the best Rusty! Great stuff man, very nice work like always!
An additional tip when fighting the nightmare dude bring all types of throwables like Molotov cocktails throwing knives poison knives the things that make your bullets stronger because when you're on the balcony when he goes through the mirror you can shoot him and throwing knives and all types of stuff at him and he'll just repeatedly keep running back through the mirror eventually And if he won't appear give it like a few seconds and it will continually go through that Loop I found that out while trying to figure out how to kill him just easier. Glad you're doing more bloodborne content honestly it's one of my favorite games and you're one of my favorite RUclipsrs keep up the great work
Orphan of Kos doesn’t just fully heal you on a successful blood rapture visceral. If you are also using the Oedon Writhe rune, you can get all of your QS bullets back.
For Witches of Hemwick Insight effects the boss, if your struggling try entering with 0 Insight, I don't remember what it does but it's like Second Nature in any Bloodborne playthrough I do
Some other boss-specific stuff that I have found helpful: -- If you poison Micolash in phase 1, the poison will continue to damage him during phase 2. -- You can I-frame to prevent the Wet Nurse's "Nightmare Phase" by dodging as she "casts" it. Wait for a dark purple ring to start radiating out from her head then spam that Circle button! -- When fighting Orphan in phase 2, if you backstab him, hit him with a second charged R2 from behind to knock him down. While he's getting back up, you can hit him with a THIRD charged R2, then finally visceral him to maximize damage.
There should always be spoiler warnings regardless of age. I mean, it's still a big difference knowing and not knowing that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father, even if it is wideknown.
My son is 6 years old and doesn't speak English. But he's a nerd and loves Lego Star Wars. There's no way he could've seen Empire Strikes Back yet. But in the next ten years he will. I don't want him getting spoiled on that, unless he pieces it together from super vague Lego cut scenes. People sometimes forget that we're talking about occasionally timeless, or at least long lived pieces of quality culture.
2:45 - Getting generous now, are we? 4:40 - If Morty rams his sword into the ground for this weird ghost sword aoe-attack, you don't have to attack the sword sticking in the ground with your main weapon, you can also just shoot the sword. c: All in all, great video, now do chalice bosses anyways. More bloodborne content is always nice. c:
Here's another tip for Micolash, because he staggers pretty easily you can just lay into him with any weapon you wouldn't classify as "slow" until you're out of stamina then use the augar of ebrietas on him to keep the pressure on while you regenerate stamina, because for some reason you can regenerate stamina while you're using it, rinse and repeat until dead. Works best with Hunter rune. Bonus tip for the orphan of Kos, he only goes into second phase after he successfully makes an attack after he reaches the health threshold so if you parry every attack he makes after he reaches that threshold he never enters phase two and I'm pretty sure all of his phase one attacks are parryable. Bonus bonus, always have both versions of blood rapture equipped it's amazing and I think legitimately makes the game more fun.
No lie, I watched my fav streamer talking about how this vid had him really trying BB again, because he sat down, and went through with these tips. Thanks, I’m excited to see him hit up BB again. He beat it the first time, but didn’t go for more after that.. THANKS AGAIN!!! Edit- That Mr. Meeseeks joke VERY 🧐🧐🏆
I know it may seem like this game is too old to be relevant to new players, but I actually got it a few months back because of all the praises its gotten and the videos you've uploaded. The tips really do help. Also im suprised you didn't bring up the Father Gasoline cheese combo (2nd phase = music box > oil > moltovs×3) or stair trap.
Great guide. just wanted to point out one more tip for martyr logarius. If you backstab him with a charged R2 and visceral him (I'm not entirely sure about the visceral) during his buff he can be poised in his second phase

Julian Dietrich idk why you throwin shots, did the game do something to you ? I like it because of the theme, the world and the mysterious storyline. It’s all very interesting and I just prefer it over all the other souls.
@@emmyjr7633 just said I liked that it is in fact easier to parry than in all the other games. Must have put that wrong, it's my favourite too just as you stated
Julian Dietrich ah yea it came off differently lmao Myb sounded like you hated the game for being somewhat easier lol
Same
Please do post a list of tricks for Chalice bosses, like Yharnam and such.
Your content is amazing man and I LOVE it! Seeing as I got Bloodborne earlier this year ur vids are my holy gral
I haven't played Sekiro, if I search a video about it it, most of them will have spoilers, obviously, so I will try to search videos with no spoilers
There're literally no reasons for a spoilers warning about a game that has some time out there
@@LeonColvet So long as there's people who haven't played a game, are interested in and wanting to play it, and want to experience the story for themselves, spoiler warnings are necessary and very much appreciated.
Besides its like 2 seconds of "warning spoilers ahead", its not like its interrupting the video to talk about raid annoying legends for 3 minutes.
It makes me happy that people are still making Bloodborne vids in 2020
It may be 5y old but i started playing like a week ago so it is helpful :D
I just wanna say thanks for all these videos. I just started playing Bloodborne after beating all the Dark Souls and have found your content to be fucking hilarious, and super helpful! Appreciate what you do brother!
10:05 YES please
I’m so glad you made this I thought no one except me still played bloodborne and I love the other blood borne vids and thought there was going to be no more but I was wrong and now I’m happy
This video finna be lit, I can feel it.
I platinumed, got to NG+9 got BL-4 run and still watching this, why??!!
Oh yeah, I forgot. Bloodborne is amazing!
I appreciate your humor so much. It has been a blessing while I'm quarantined
For Logarius, you can stun him while he buffs for his second phase, which makes him much easier to stagger and parry.
Don’t apologize for the spoiler alert. I just started playing BB last week and was looking for some tips on how to play here on yt without spoiling either the story or what bosses one will encounter. Didn’t watch your video, but I did smash the like button for the spoiler alert. Fair play.
Ah yes my daily dose of sarcasm
Loved the disclaimer.
Technically, if you're like me and decided to do a skill build. Your visceral attack will do far superior damage to a charged r2 and molotov. Especially if you have low arcane
This video and rusty's rhymes cured my quarenteen depression.
9:14
I was really starting to think I was the only person on Earth who knew this.
P.S. Do the Chalice Dungeon bosses!
@@BDeerhead i think i juat straight up didn't understand what rusty was saying then... What did he mean "healing is quadrupled"?
Blood Rapture restores HP everytime you perform a visceral attack. When performing a visceral attack against Orphan of Kos during the first phase of the fight, you get four times the usual amount of health. That's why he zoomed in on his health bar.
@@BDeerhead just because? That seems like a weird mechanic/glitch... I do use it on some builds but tbh i usually go 20%+10% more visceral damage and 10% hp, still, even if i used rapture more i likely wouldn't have realized, as I can't think any reason why that should happen...
I almost WANT to get mad at spoilers in a game I've played many times just to see you go through the effort.
Jokes aside, always love your videos man.
1 TIP vs EVERY Main Bloodborne Boss
Git gud
Stick to the booty
@@genokun299 Slap that ass like you own it
Hit that bottom like there is no tomorrow
@John Mari Anog YOLO forget the booty
Good tip! :D
Honestly for the "kind women" of hemwick i expected: "Become blind"
I just bought the old hunters dlc and I beat Ludwig on my second try
Owen Byrd always depends on your build and playstyle man, I played the dlc for the first time on ng+ with pure arc and the most difficult biss for me was Laurence, Ludwig wasn’t that bad.
depends on alot of things i bought the DLC after my new game so i played in ng+ i wasnt good enough and i died 45 times too ludwig mostly in second phases because the damage difference in a single new game completion is HUMANGOUS trust me in ng+ ludwig is a total diferrent BOSS *
*btw i played ludwig in NG+4 and beat him in second try...its just seconds nature now
Alex Zeqa yea same my first time also was on ng+ and I kinda regret it, but I kinda don’t cause I love torturing myself over these games
I beat him in 1 minute with a strength build
Owen Byrd 1minute eh... might be because you were overleveled AF even with a strength build... in ng I’d say bl80-100 is the way to go, maybe 120
Oh wow, I was just about to start a play through of bloodborne. I played all the other souls games but this guy right here.
@@darkerdaemon7794 ludwig's 1st phase was too crazy for me.. was trynna play it like dark souls and hit that booty but he wasn't having it bro
This video is impeccable
Im NOT THE SUN
Sad Deus vult noises
@@wanderingexo8689 nice one
Pro tip go into the witches of hemwick with no insight and you won’t have to deal with their summons
But whenever you go to a boss you get 1 insight so no matter how much you still have to fight the summoned ones first time a run
Dealingenough damage to Logarius during his phase change removes his increased stagger resistance, making him much easier to parry in the second phase
Yea i can confirm as i did that
That sort of alliteration takes goddamned practice. Full props man, that made this lit nerd grin.
I think the spoiler warning deserves a separate appreciation.
It's never too late for a new Bloodborne video. Ever.
Ok ok, you made me smile with your puns)
Ha, Blades of Mercy cant be buffed with paper! 9:34 or around that time
We love this game so much... But isn't that really late 😂😂?
You got my like not only for completely out of control alliteration, but that warning was great
0:51 to skip annoying intro
It honestly is super great to still see bloodborne content being made after all this time.
A Chalice guide would be nice. Some of those bosses give me the creeps on beating them
It's amazing how this one video helps more than the entire fandom on bosses.
That Opening was phenomenal!
Glad you're doing more bloodborne content honestly it's one of my favorite games and you're one of my favorite RUclipsrs keep up the great work
Rusty my man fantastic video as always and utterly unbelievably hilarious
Orphan of Kos doesn’t just fully heal you on a successful blood rapture visceral. If you are also using the Oedon Writhe rune, you can get all of your QS bullets back.
For Witches of Hemwick Insight effects the boss, if your struggling try entering with 0 Insight, I don't remember what it does but it's like Second Nature in any Bloodborne playthrough I do
Bloodborne content in 2020? Thanks Rusty! I just beat Bloodborne in 2019, and the DLC in January of this year. I missed out D:
Some other boss-specific stuff that I have found helpful:
-- If you poison Micolash in phase 1, the poison will continue to damage him during phase 2.
I mean, BloodBorne never gets old. People just keep on playing it so your videos are a pleasure to watch my good sir.
Thank you for making more bb content, I love your videos on bb
Liked and subbed just for the alliteration at the beginning. Great stuff!
Never seen one of your videos before hadn't even heard of you til you popped up in my recommended but 35 seconds in an that intro gets you my sub 🤣❤
Dutch people getting spoiled just hearing his name, because Darth Vader is roughly Dutch for Dark Father.
Another calling to play Bloodborne again. I appreciate it
thanks so much this video really helped my life in Bloodborne
2:45 - Getting generous now, are we?
4:40 - If Morty rams his sword into the ground for this weird ghost sword aoe-attack, you don't have to attack the sword sticking in the ground with your main weapon, you can also just shoot the sword. c:
All in all, great video, now do chalice bosses anyways.
Thanks rusty. Really appreciated after I just platinumed it on Saturday :)
Meeseeks joke VERY 🧐🧐🏆
When you watch "V for vendetta" and you like the confusing V poems
Love your vids we need more!!
What are 5 years for a timeless game such as Bloodborne? Thank you for keeping the passion for this masterpiece alive and burning brighter than ever!
8:39 why do you pronounce it as Mari-ah?
I know it may seem like this game is too old to be relevant to new players, but I actually got it a few months back because of all the praises its gotten and the videos you've uploaded. The tips really do help.
Also im suprised you didn't bring up the Father Gasoline cheese combo (2nd phase = music box > oil > moltovs×3) or stair trap.
Great guide. just wanted to point out one more tip for martyr logarius. If you backstab him with a charged R2 and visceral him (I'm not entirely sure about the visceral) during his buff he can be poised in his second phase
Sir!?... That alliteration is so on point I had to subscribe.
