    Congrats on taking on a huge challenge. About ten years ago I took a challenge at a workout place. You give them $500 and you follow their diet and you have to workout there 5-6 times a week. If you can lose 20 pounds in six weeks, you get your $500 back. I made it! I had a great "core" and really felt in shape. I slipped a bit, over the years, and went back to my old weight. This summer I decided I was going to be more active and eat better. I have lost 25 pounds over the summer and feel great! Good luck with your quest! YOU CAN DO IT!! Keep us posted on your progress!!       That's fantastic!! Since I'm so out of shape I was hoping that I could drop quit a bit more quickly, so far it's slow going with the numbers dropping but I'm giving it my best!

      Thank you! I seriously started at only 3 minutes a day! As I reduce the inflammation in my body and increase my stamina, it just keeps getting easier! If I can do it, anyone can do it!

    I once dropped from 265 to 185 by simply reducing portion sizes. But it took me two years! Then I gradually drifted back to 200 and I've been there ever since.

      That's great! You look like you're a healthy weight for you height!
      It should work out for me quickly just because I was unwell for so long and sedentary. I feel like the worse off you are, the more dramatic the initial change usually is. 😆 Fingers crossed it's dramatic enough to fit into this costume. Lol

    I love your great attitude and your humor! I have over 100lbs to lose and after a big illness am terribly out of shape. Your elliptical progress is encouraging. I'm just walking 5 min a day so far. Just don't get discouraged 5lbs a week is a LOT! I wish you the best

      You got this!!! Last month at the beginning of my first challenge, I was just focused on eating healthier to heal my body and I wanted to walk 15 minutes a day, NOT on the elliptical. In the beginning, I had to break apart that 15 minutes into 5 minutes walks in circles around the house and I eventually tried the elliptical and went for 3 minutes. Just be patient with yourself and you will get there! 💕

    You've got this!! ❤ Intermittent fasting, and no snacking between meals, can dramatically increase your results! Especially if you can exercise right before you break your fast. It has to do with the insulin your body has to deal with every time you eat or drink something that isn't approved during a fast.

      I'm definitely going to give intermittent fasting a try once I get my hormones under control. I was told to wait, so I'm doing this with pure determination this time. 😆

      Comicons are fun to go to but there are so many people there! Mike doesn't enjoy large crowds but he toughs it out for our daughter. 😊

    Not just the costume, but list the medications that you can stop taking. Also, the illnesses that no linger have a hold on you. Dr Gregor always walks his treadmill while he's doing interviews. You're doing great!!

      Exactly! Once I'm done with this 6 week challenge I'll be able to get my labs checked again so I'm hopeful they will continue to improve! I love Dr Gregor! I just ordered his book a few days ago, it's the next one on my list to read. 😊

    This is so awesome! Excited to see your series with it, even if its not every Wednesday 😂 you guys probably know this but if you can add weight lifting in, it yields huge resusts in terms of weight loss. Our muscles continue to burn energy when at rest more effectively than other forms of exercise even!

      Thank you! Yes, Mike does weights and used to be big into body building when he was younger so he knows more than some personal trainers, lol. My neck creates a lot of limitations for me me but since I'm starting at the bottom of the barrel so to speak, I should be able to lose quite a lot of weight initially by just walking. 😊 By the way, I really need to send you a message soon! Life got a little chaotic but I didn't forget you! 💕

    I never thought I would lose weight, but about 3 years ago I loss 87 lbs/39.5 kilos. I used weight watchers to relearn me how to eat better and I posted my progress weekly on Facebook to hold myself accountable. It worked. Now I have gained about 20 lbs/ 9kilos back, but I will be focusing on getting back on track come September.
    You are off to a great start, 20 minutes! I wish you luck, but I know you got this! Keep your eye one the prize and you are doing this for you! Show them how it’s done! Oh and cute costume! ❤

    Hello Ms. Andrea, I would say that it is the emoji for burning calories. if you look at the left it has the # of calories being burned. Above that is that the time you have left or completed? Across from the time is your clock. On my Fitbit watch the different clock faces have the fire symbol for burning calories. I hope this helps. You can do it. You can do it. YES, you can do it!!       I'm going to try intermittent fasting eventually. I see many people say that it helps with their weight loss but I was told to wait until after my hormones are stabilized. I'm running on pure determination this time. lol

      I couldn't believe I made it to 20 minutes and I actually stopped myself because I didn't want to overdo it!
      It took me a year and a half to kind sorta commit to a day of the week to upload. LOL
      I hope I crush it and then some! A girl can dream!
      No I haven't received anything yet. I do need to check the mailbox today though!

    In case you want to know i lost 9 kilos (about 20 lbs i think) in 6 weeks with the plain potato diet with almost no fat and and low calorie greens, the diet high carb Hannah did she has a RUclips channel in case you don't know. I think even penn Gillette the magician did it to avoid his heart surgery. No exercise i mean I tried to walk about my house instead of sitting while watching RUclips etc. but no real working out as such. Plus i didn’t have much weight to lose and still lost that much if I was heavier i's probably lose more in the same time. I was 77 kilos I was 68 by the end of it and I've kept the weight off now for over 8 months. This was the only diet where I actually kept the weight off I always used to gain it all back. I decided to wait another year and give myself as much nutrition as possible and then do another bout of 6 weeks and lose the rest of the weight.

      Also in case you want to give this a shot even for just a while, you should know that I ate air fried low or zero fat potato wedges spiced with some salt and smoked paprika as my preferred way of eating potatoes most days). While i followed the main rules of the diet AKA only potatoes and low cal non starchy veggies, i added this specific low cal ranch dip👇🏻 ruclips.net/user/shorts_HafROaIONc?feature=shared
      I had to add in the ranch and spices to make sure I stuck w the diet cause it got too monotonous after a week. But as long as you keep it almost no fat and eat sufficient greens and veggies along with the potatoes you should be fine and get good weight loss. This diet is especially safe since potatoes are one of the only foods that you can eat exclusively for months at a time without running into any major deficiencies only reason I decided to take a break is cause it got boring.

      I'm 5' 3-3/4" that last 3/4" is very important when you're as short as I am. 🤣
      I agree it's a lot of weight to drop but since I'm so overweight and I'm basically at the beginning of my journey, I really feel like it should be possible. We'll see though! I'll be happy as long as I can make the costume work for my daughter. 😊

    Cuando tuve una situación de salud hice ayuno sustentado dr normans está en RUclips no sólo bajas de peso sino que sana cualquier enfermedad la idea es que entre más simple comas mejor lo del ejercicio vas muy bien poco a poco lo más difícil es empezar ser realista va tomar tiempo y la actitud que a ti te sobra estoy orgullosa de ti sigue adelante yo caminaba pero ahora hago bicicleta no es fácil pero una vez empiezas a tener energía ya no vuelves atrás una semana a la vez un abrazo desde mi país Puerto Rico🇵🇷

    I’ll make sure losing 30 pounds in six weeks you eat healthy and get a little bit exercise I don’t starve yourself and don’t overwork yourself even if you only lose 5 pounds 5 pounds every couple of months is still a lot of weight 1 pound or half pound a week is probably healthier. Please take care of yourself and don’t go crazy trying to lose weight fast. You don’t want to gain it right back.

      Thank you Grandma Sandy! I'm very overweight so it's not too terribly extreme for me to lose a large amount of weight in the beginning of my weight loss journey. I'm definitely eating plenty of healthy food. I'm really just hopeful I can fit into this costume for my daughter! I'll be happy with whatever amount I manage to lose though. 😊

      There's a very high likelihood that I will have some loose skin by the time I'm done losing all of the weight I need to but I'm taking most of my journey very slow and steady so I don't think pushing for a quick 30lbs will be too detrimental. I would just really like to fit in this costume for my daughter!
      Believe me, I was complaining to my husband about how I'm going to have loose skin before I even started to make healthy lifestyle changes. 😆
