I am whittling down my calorie count, cutting out carbs in the morning and moving more.
It's only been a week, but I do feel better already. Without the carbs in the morning and eating protein I have more energy for the afternoon.

My personal tip is trying to be more conscious and aware of when I do things I know aren’t working towards my weight goals. Late night snacks, extra deserts, sodas. I was having them even though the thought crossed my mind “I shouldn’t but I really want it right now”. Eventually as I kept consciously challenged myself in those moments my thought changed “do I really want this?” “Am I getting anything from having this” “What time is it, should I be eating now(late, snacking before meals)”.
my “autopilot” (homeostasis, habits, eg) slowly has slowly changed. I strongly believe that awareness is a solid first step to taking action. Even if it’s “messy action” as he as said. Doing something is progress over nothing. And reinforcing it with a healthy reason can only reinforce positive action

Not saying this will work long term but if you need to shed weight quick and weekends are tough to diet just do that.
