Going from watching Remi in onesies doing hauls in her bedroom at her parents to watching her try on wedding dresses is so surreal and I couldn’t be happier for her. I’ve unfollowed a lot of people during the years but Remi has kept me captive and I applaud her for being here for so long 🥂

Dress shopping was my absolute worst fear but thankfully after research and finding great size-inclusive bridal shops, they will ensure your experience is top tier and that you feel BEAUTIFUL! Because our bodies are 10000% deserving of love and appreciation. The dress is meant to fit YOU and not the other way around!!

aww I’m sorry that was your experience, I could tell my mom had a hard time accepting that I was leaving the house and we fought every day up until the day I moved out before the wedding but I knew she was just having a hard time and ended up making peace with her even though that should’ve been her job but I did it for my own peace…I still remember the way she acted but don’t hold resentment…parents can be tricky tbh but our peace comes first
I'm midsize (10/12 US) and i had the same fears/stress about going dress shopping. When i was researching bridal shops, I looked for reviews mentioning midsize dresses. When i was booking the appointment I also mentioned i was midsize just so they know. And it turned out not to be an issue! Once I started trying on the dresses i didnt even think about it again ❤

remi, I am so glad you talked about your worries about trying on dresses. It’s so hard watching friends who are slimmer try on dresses with no problems. Even trying on prom dresses in high school was so nerve wracking and upsetting sometimes.

Love Azazie! Every bridesmaid dress I’ve worn has been from there and most of my bridesmaids wore Azazie! It was super nice to order dresses with custom sizing and ensure I was comfy all day 😊 and the stretch fit bridesmaid dresses are 😙🤌

It's so sweet that you are doing stuff with your family. I was feeling the same way hand then my dad got diagnosed with cancer and passed away within a month of diagnosis. Luckily we had a whole week in Hawaii for our birthdays earlier in the year so I have that fresh good memory. It is so so so important to appreciate the time we have with the people we love when we have it.
