- Today is day 30 of my 60 pounds in 90 days weight loss challenge and I just hit 10% or 30 pounds lost in the first 30 days! I want to share with you a recap of what I have been doing and give you my top 5 tips to lose 30 pounds in 30 days. Stay till the end for my weigh in and please like and subscribe for daily updates:)

Last year I went through a major transformation, dropping over 130 pounds from my high weight of 395 pounds. I have been slipping for a couple months and have back tracked a bit, but I am using 2017 and a weight loss challenge at work to get back in the game and get to an even lower weight! I am always looking for motivation and this is just the ticket. Follow me while I attempt the extreme weight loss of 60 pounds in 90 days. I would like it if you would take this weight loss journey with me and we can help keep each other motivated. I have learned a lot about losing weight fast in the last year and I want to share these weight loss tips with you in this blog. I will be utilizing a ketogenic diet for this weight loss transformation and I hope by the end you will see why if you don't already know the keto diet benefits. 1. 3 day fast
Two folds it gets rid of excess carbohydrates that’s stored in your body as glucose
2. no carbohydrate diet to no carbohydrate diet
Nutritional ketosis
3. Intermittent fast for the rest of 30 days
Eating one time of the day
4. Calorie restrictions
My daily calorie intake isn’t over my basal metabolic rate would be less than 1,000 calories

I’m 6’5 starting weight was 350lbs I’m down to 333Lbs as of 5/8/2018 so within a month I’ve lost 17 pounds with a total goal of 100 pounds lost to get me down to 250
Awesome! Good luck:) I used to have my weight vary between 350-400. Now it varies between 250-280. I still need to make progress and I backtrack too often but it’s a lot better place to be than where I used to be. Good luck to you. It’s a worthy process.

Thanks a lot! I think I need to add in some exercise to accelerate it though because the last week or so has been slowing down.
The Heavy Truth My husband and I are new to this and have lost a little in the past couple months, but I started exercising last week and I am SUUUPPPER hungry! Is this normal? I have a 75% fat diet that I track my calories, etc....just wondering what I'm doing wrong? Would fasting help with this hunger?

Monique S there are some days when I am super hungry. One thing about hunger that I am just learning, is that if you ignore it it doesn't really get any worse. I can be super hungry now and if I don't eat sometimes it will go away and sometimes it will stay but it doesn't really get any worse. Are you in ketosis? Do you supplement with electrolytes? If you are too hungry to bear it your best bet would be to eat straight fat. A spoon of coconut oil or butter( a lot of people add it to coffee). One thing I am learning about myself is that I often confuse thirst with hunger. That's why I ask about the electrolytes. This diet is tough on your electrolytes and it's even tougher when you exercise. I would like to hear when you figure it out:)

Literally accidentally did this while in the Army and got shredded no cap I would fast Saturday and Sunday since I had those days off and drank protein shake and maybe had a peace of chicken for like 3 months it’s crazy how your can feel and tell your in ketosis
I am finally back in. You can definitely tell a difference in many ways. Food cravings, energy levels, sleep needs.

I wonder if you should carb up(veggies and fruits) every couple of weeks so you don't get uncontrollably ravenous at any point.
I have done it, but my will power is better if I stick to low carb. When I carb up, my cravings for bad food seem stronger over the following weeks. Everyone is different though. It may work great for you!
Will a one day fast be effective? Removing all the carbs ?before i start keto
It depends on how many you have been eating. If you have been on the standard American diet, I would say 2-3 is more realistic.

Can you do this and still work out 1 to 2 hours a day? I'm trying this keto diet, eating three times a day (carb free) and working out 2 times a day, for an hour each, can I still do this diet/fast?
Joseph Ashe I think so. I am 16 days into an extended fast right now and I am tired but I still walk 4 miles a day. If you were to stick to shorter fasts I see no reason you couldn't work out harder than me. Especially if you are already used to it.

One meal a day ...one hour of eating ....so what hour do you eat? From when to when? ...and what do you allow your self to DRINK? Whatever you like as its not solid food?

No. Eggs are great! I think they are the perfect keto food.

"All of my weight loss has been from diet..." You would have to run around 25 miles, depending on weight, to lose one pound of fat. For most people that would take eight hours. Who has that time? So if you are not adjusting diet, it is almost impossible to lose weight by exercise.
Am starting this today,I just need to lose 8kg and it's taking forever cause I haven't started yet 🤣I keep on postponing.

when you say all dairy that includes butter...?
I still eat butter, but it does raise IGF levels to some degree. For dairy it is mostly the protein parts that cause issues, and butter is mostly fat. Butter is the lowest of offenders next to ghee, but you should still use it in moderation for the most extreme weight loss or to break through stalls.

How do you not have carbs? Almost all food has carbs in them.
Just eat a lot of meat, eggs, avocado, butter, oils and a few vegetables. The goal is to eat as few carbs as possible.

Fibrous vegetables, leafy greens are the lowest in carbs. Avoid starchy vegetables like corn and potatoes.

Less than 1000 cals per day for 30 days?? Your body is going to say “ok this is the new normal, let’s reduce the metabolic rate so we don’t die”. It’s going to screw you for some time to come.
As does any calorie restricted diet. Honestly, if you want to be in a colonic deficit and do as little harm to your metabolism as possible, your best bet is to fast.

If it was unhidden...wouldn’t I know what it was? What evidence do you have that quick weight loss is unhealthy?
The Heavy Truth not always, Losing weight could put you at risk of many health problems, including muscle loss, gallstones, nutritional deficiencies and a drop in metabolism but if this makes you happy good but just be careful.
