    The magnificent Ms Lawrence who did my hysterectomy. 27 days later and I'm back to being my normal self, walking 10,000 steps every day and swimming. Love Jan x

    Great info. I had my abdominal hysterectomy almost 2 weeks ago. I'm still in a lot of discomfort. I had 23 staples in my belly. It is challenging. Thank you

    Great information. I had abdominal hysterectomy 2months now, compilations and sepsis. After removing my staples, my incision didn’t approximate. I have dressing every other day on my abdomen. Indeed, it’s a long journey for me but thank God for the gifts of life……..

    I had my hysterectomy a little over 2 weeks ago, I didn't have any complications, not much pain either I am doing some kegel exercises which help me in my healing process, thanks for these videos.

      @@ericaprice3987 I'm 1 week out of surgery. Erica my swelling is just as u described it. Only now, it seems to be diminishing in size. It started below my breast and bulged at the sides, ending with a massive bundle on top of the groin. It smothered my incision which extended along the bikini line.

    Six days post op for TAH-BSO. An 8" vertical incision. Surgery was Monday and I went home Wednesday. First day was rough. It hurts, but I'm managing. My dressing stays on until staples out.

      I hope you are doing well and getting stronger each day. Mine was planned for 2 weeks time but its just been cancelled... I will also have a vertical incision and staples. Good luck with the rest of your recovery!

    • @NikkiBikki

      @@siberianhusky5516 i am 12 days post op. Everyone is different. I'm surprised at how well I am doing. I had been so worried before. I went home the day after my operation as I felt I was strong enough. Getting in and out of bed was painful if I wasn't careful for the first few days but it's better now (less pain generally and my technique is better now). I was on paracetamol and ibuprofen for the pain to start but stopped all pain medicine after about a week. I was on stool softeners for the first days but I stopped them and just eat a high fibre diet and try to drink lots of fluids. Eating and drinking has been fine. I'm have been walking around since the day after my op, but slowly. I'm still very tired and napping during the day. When I have not done that I really felt tired. My staples (vertical incision to above my belly button) were removed on days 9 & 10, i was surprised as it wasn't that painful. I didn't even feel the first one come out. I previously had staples removed from another part of my body and it hurt like hell, so it's not like I'm particularly brave. It's all gone so much better than I had feared. I hope all goes well for you too. Good luck!!

      @@siberianhusky5516 I hope that your op went ok and that you are doing well. My op.was.on the Thursday first thing and my dr didn't let me eat (only drink) for 24 hours to let things settle (but it was fine). My appetite was fine, but I have always been a good eater.

    I had surgery for over 2 years and sometimes I would get a lock of pain in my belly like my guts is knotting up and the pain would last for 5 seconds and fade away and I mostly get it when I sit up and lean forward can u tell me if that is normal?

  • @treg6848
    @treg6848 3 года назад +2

    Wow thanks a lot . I wish I had found this information earlier when I was going through all this . I have more than one reason of why my recovery is slower. Maybe I need antibiotics in my vain iv. How many days would this take the bv and four rounds of antibiotics haven’t got rid of it. I haven’t had sex after surgery. I got cut vertically up and down .
