Great reaction! Supertramp we’re great! Great musicians and they matched it love to a T. Another very underrated band that I believe are not in in Rock & Toll HOF. If they’re not (I don’t think they’re) are deserving.
They have quite the catalog of wonderful pieces. Excellent sound. The Logical Song, Give a Little Bit, Dreamer, Take the Long Way Home, etc. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing this one.
You lucky lucky Dudes... getting to ride through the 70's in just one year. The whole decade is a rabbit hole... of excellence and innovation musically.
Yep. Breakfast is the one I've replaced several times because of damage, loss etc. It's one of those recordings I like to keep in whatever vehicle I'm driving.
I'm so glad you guys finally got to Supertramp! If you go down the Supertramp rabbit hole you will love them. Hope you react to School, Hide In Your Shell, Another Man's Woman, Fool's Overture next. They had two lead singers (Rick Davies who sang on this song and Roger Hodgson). Hodgson sang on most of the radio hits but I love the Rick Davies songs as much. I saw them on every tour they did in the U.S. and they were amazing. I hope you keep doing Supertramp reactions. You guys rock!
You guys are awesome. You respect it so much more having come from a music background. Supertramp is very unique, so many sounds and ways they produce the music for each album. Another great rabbit hole. Jump in, boys!
Indeed one of the best bands from the 70's. Had a string of four great albums; Crime of the Century; Crisis? What Crisis!"; Even in the Quietest Moments"; Breakfast in America. All songs worth a listen.
They are a fabulous group and are up there in my list of the best live shows I've been to. Y'all need to hit the album "Crim of the Century" it's worth it. Enjoy
Great band with a great, unique sound. They incorporate so many different genres , but over all they are a prog group for me. Enjoy getting to know them.
I saw them in concert at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin in 1983. They were flawless. Great band with alot of talent. You need to check out their album Breakfast in America.
And your journey begins... welcome to Supertramp. Being an Official Old Fart, I got to see these gentlemen a LOT in person, and they are as among the Best. 🎹🎹🎹 🎸🎸
Your gonna have fun with Supertramp's catalog!!! I suggest after you listen to some of their studio songs, then check them out live with "Live in Paris"👍👍✌✌😃😃
Great reaction. Very deep catalog for Supertramp. One of the best bands of the 70's. Check out Breakfast in America, The Logical Song, Take the Long Way Home, Goodbye Stranger, Give a Little Bit.
Definately check out "School". In the 60's and 70's it seemed like every week there was something amazing coming out of the UK. Oh, and in so glad you guys moved the insert!
Loved your reaction to this song. The album this is from, “Crime of the Century”, is incredible, start to finish. Album Oriented Rock (AOR) is intended to listen to in the order they laid it down on the vinyl. As you recognized in this song, this mix of the entire album is superb. The clarity, wide range of frequencies recorded, and the inclusion of silence between the sounds makes this song and the album perfect for testing a quality sound system. When ever I would purchase a new component to upgrade my stereo the first thing I would place on my turntable is this album so I could test the system. When I saw you were reacting to this song, and then heard you say you had never heard of Supertramp, I knew you were going to love it, just as I did the first time I heard it on my buddy’s stereo back in 1977. Glad you enjoyed it.
Supertramp's sound is all their own. It's Rock, it's Blues, it's Pop, it's Jazz and it's something unique in the middle of all of that. Two of the greatest albums of the 1970s are Supertramp's Crime Of The Century (from where this is from) and Even In The Quietest Moments, though they found their biggest success in the more commercial Breakfast In America. Definitely and band worth exploring.
Saw Supertramp 4 times, brilliant live. Boys you are listening to the soundtrack of my teens. 60s 70s 80s greatest time to be a music lover. Went to highschool with John Helliwell's cousin, looked just like John.
Aaaand she's back and so happy. Supertramp and the Eurythmics/Annie Lennox. I don't have more albums of anyone else besides these two groups. Thank you. (You know, Rick Beato just did a "How did the Eurythmics make this song Perfect?" video, so suddenly after a long, frustrated spell, I'm pretty pleased. (What can I say to explain?.... I am usually bedbound, so these videos mean a lot to me. Maybe I'm ridiculously invested, lying here with my boredom.)
Fun reaction guys - Supertramp is British - 70's - 80's powerhouse - they blend many styles into a unique fusion - nobody mixed rock with jazz, pop, r&b, funk, dixieland, even ragtime - Supertramp did it all - pure genius - btw none of this was 'psychedelic' rock - those guitar licks were badass soul honky tonk funk - made that thing talk - absolute legends!
Crime of the Century. Tells a whole story. The music is magnificent. A must listen! The best music always takes a few listens, and Supertramp is one of those bands.
Supertramp were always searching for ways to improve Cassette tapes reproduction. (Maxell Iron Oxide, etc). They wanted their sound reproduced in the highest fidelity they could get. They were rock, jazz fusion and just plain great. This was my first into to Supertramp, and the intro keyboard run is one of the best - knocked me out then, continues to today. When the vocals are guitar come in, it's all done! Need more Supertramp. Thanks for setting the groove so high!.
You have stumbled upon one of the best groups of prog-rock musicians. They can get into some funky rock with these guys. They have a sound. You will not be disappointed, it is all wonderful.
FROM NOW ON...Please react to that deep cut, Supertramp is a rabbit hole well worth jumping into! Some steely Dan vibes on their hits, but check out above mentioned cut before you get to hits. Peace and love men! Great week of reactions!!
Child of vision ,wil blow your mind
Ck out Even in The Quietest Moments...different yet just as good!
Child Of Vision!

Wow, I'm glad you got to some of their earlier stuff. Oh yeah.
Supertramp, what a rabbit hole to dive into and enjoy!
Most excellent. This will not be the last listen for this incredible British band. Their catalog is impressive.
70s.... pure art 💯🎸🎼😊🔥
And another rabbit hole opens. 🙂
Top Shelf on this one , gentlemen .
Great reaction! Supertramp we’re great! Great musicians and they matched it love to a T. Another very underrated band that I believe are not in in Rock & Toll HOF. If they’re not (I don’t think they’re) are deserving.
This album introduced me to Supertramp. Every song....fantastic.
"Crime of the Century" is a start-to-finish rock album masterpiece.
Always love the Tramp!
You’re going to LOVE The Logical Song by Supertramp!
Welcome to the world of Supertramp, enjoy the ride
It is explosive.
The sound of the 70's.
Great reaction ! Love watching you guys experience Supertramp for the 1st time.

Surprised you haven't heard supertramp guys, sure they've been sampled . Great songs.
Our black brothers really like the saxophone. Always 🙂
You lucky lucky Dudes... getting to ride through the 70's in just one year. The whole decade is a rabbit hole... of excellence and innovation musically.
Supertramp to me is if Pink Floyd and Steely Dan have a baby lol🔥🤘✌my 3 favorite bands.
beautiful
Hah! I always heard it like a combo of Pink Floyd & Elton John - y’know, an artist with strong pop hook sensibilities!
I agree 😂
To me Supertramp were a cross between Genesis and 10cc, prog with a pop/art rock edge
Omg--- that's perfect!!😂
Never realized how much they can sound like Floyd on some of their songs...
Saw them once playing this tour.
Yesss!
Thanks again. I never really listened to the musicality- I just loved listening to Supertramp🇦🇺🙏🇺🇸
Supertramp was one of the best bands of the ‘73 - ‘80. Best album imo is Crime of the Century… but perhaps the most fun is Breakfast in America.
I concur, conversationally I would add only that Asylum from the Crime Of The Century album is probably my favorite Supertramp song
I worked in a small clothes store in the mall in the late 70's, we played Breakfast in America on repeat!
Couldn't agree more.
@@richardcranium5048 Sigh, the days when a packet of fags was 15p.
Yep. Breakfast is the one I've replaced several times because of damage, loss etc.

For a similar yet different sound, try "Sleeping with the Enemy" by Roger Hodgson, who was a key contributor to Supertramp's sound.
“Rudy” next please
Saw them 2 times in Toronto,Even in The Qu Moment tour was the best show I have seen,im 63 and have seen a few gigs, that show was large.
I watch your reaction like 4 or 5 times it's priceless. I have seen Roger Hodgson 10 - 12 times live in concert totally blow you away.❤ from Canada 🇨🇦
Crime of century is an album u guys have to do!!!
You guys are awesome. You respect it so much more having come from a music background. Supertramp is very unique, so many sounds and ways they produce the music for each album. Another great rabbit hole. Jump in, boys!

YES!

The audio is CRYSTAL, that treble just cracks!❤️
Plenty more Supertramp where that came from.
That's one of their best songs. Try "Long Way Home" "Goodbye Stranger" and "Dreamer" and you won't be disappointed.
Take the Long Way Home
@@justineapril7922
You take the long way home....
Don't sleep on 'School' and 'The Logical Song'

We've learned so much from each other interraciallly we compliment each other's race. I wish we could do more together!
Great old 70s Band, and they have a really great music catalogue. Rodger Hodgson is one of the most talented artists of the Classic Rock" era.
Credevo solo io ascoltasse frofondamente la musica dei supertramp è un piacere che ascoltate anche voi questo grande gruppo 👏❤️
This is part of my high school music! Supertramp’s album “Breakfast in America” is a must discover!
Their album Breakfast In America is amazing. Their album Crime Of The Century is a masterpiece.

Very talented band.
You guys always do such a great reaction. Always keeps me coming back. Thank you.
David Gilmour from Pink Floyd actually collaborated with supertramp after they lost their guitar player.
I love so much you guys reacting to all the music I listened to when I was young
This song was all over the radio. Their sax player also played for Thin Lizzy. 🤟
Beautiful Perfection you guys are still undefeated Bravo.
Your gonna have fun with Supertramp's catalog!!! I suggest after you listen to some of their studio songs, then check them out live with "Live in Paris"👍👍✌✌😃😃

Amazing live band back then, too.
My Father had one hell of a Record collection. The day I dropped the needle on this one. Instantly a Fan.

A lot of people don’t give Even in the Quietest Moments its due.
You forgot 'funk'. These guys get down right funky.
Agreed. All three LPs are masterpieces. The live shows were nuts good.
@@hklinker A shame, really. I'd put it as one of the decade's best. Almost at a level with Dark Side Of The Moon.
@@rk41gator Absolutely, yes, thank you! Just the bridge of Sister Moonshine shows a deep understanding of Funk.
Supertramp was the real deal. Love how they walked that one out with the sax. 🙂
Saw Supertramp 4 times, brilliant live. Boys you are listening to the soundtrack of my teens. 60s 70s 80s greatest time to be a music lover. Went to highschool with John Helliwell's cousin, looked just like John.
The Kinks, Peter Frampton Comes Alive, Blue Oyster Cult (Godzilla), so many others. So ❤you guys are Rocking it Out
There are so many great Supertramp songs, just a few to check out “logical song”, “goodbye stranger” and “breakfast in America”

Supertramp is considered one of the great prog/rock/art rock Pop bands ever😅 they are just that good man.crime of the Century is a monster album
This is the what grabbed my attention. SuperTramp quickly became a fave of mine, and still is. Doesnt need to need to be heavy to be great.
Granted, I was only 12 years old.
You have stumbled upon one of the best groups of prog-rock musicians. They can get into some funky rock with these guys. They have a sound. You will not be disappointed, it is all wonderful.
Another great one boys, you guys are gonna love this band! Love you guys, thanks for this one.
Logical Song
Known for their sophisticated compositions. No simple "verse, chorus, middle eight" stuff here.
Bloody well underrated song.
Don’t miss seeing their live videos, they are just as good!
