Vocals on this are by the original founder of the band, Rick Davies. The Supertramp you’ve reviewed in the past had Roger Hodgson on vocal. Very different cats. My favorite Supertramp featuring Davies is Goodby Stranger, the ultimate song describing a player, if ya know what I mean.
This song from Crime of the Century , for most Supertramp fans the best àlbum !!! Every are master pieces. School , Rudy , Crime of the Century , Dreamer !!! Keep on rocking.
Supertramp was about to fade into oblivion when they released "Crime of The Century". This song (released as a B side for "Dreamer") saved them. Not a bad song on the album. In fact ,they went on a streak of at least 6 Albums that charted high.
I LOVE that you reacted to this one! Supertramp is one of my all-time favorite bands, and this song is also a favorite! Thank you so much for this great choice! ✌💙✌
So many great Supertramp tunes--Take the Long Way Home, It's Raining Again, and so many more! The production, breakdown vibe changes, vocals, production, and how full their sound is. Hoping you'll react to more Supertramp tunes. So fun to watch how closely you're listening and reacting. This one with the saxophone, hand claps, hard rocking guitar riff, and the harmonies and electric keyboard sounds make you feel like you're in the room!
grew up with this album back in the day.. yet I think I am even more impressed at the musicianship today. The writing, the orchestration, the talent.. there is not a note out of place, yet feels so organic. I'm old enough now to know that this was a special group of people. Not an everyday band. Thank you for letting me re-live it through your eyes(ears).
SO A FEW OF THE TRACKS OFF THIS ALBUM ARE : SCHOOL, HIDE IN YOUR SHELL, MY FAVORITE TRACK ( RUDY ) AND THE OTHER BIG HIT BESIDES THIS WHICH IS : DREAMER 😊BUT LIKE I SAID THE WHOLE ALBUM IS AWESOME YOU GUYS! 😊
Love the channel you two...being a teenager all through the 70s, this brings back tons of memories...among other bands, this band was always near the turntable, and within arms reach in the car when cruisin' main...thanks for bringing back some awesome memories...Rock ON!!! You should if you havent, already, check out the rest of their catalogue, worth the dive, I promise...
I was *One of ONLY Twelve* attending their 1977 Memorial Arena, Victoria, BC, Canada *Even In the Quietest Moments* Tour. Best Live Sound and Performance from *The Most Professional Band* The 12 of us blown-away by their entire setlist, plus an encore of *Six Unreleased Songs* from *Breakfast in America* album. Live Concerts or Studio Recordings, you got same high fidelity quality sound.
I can't recommend their 1979 live album Pairs enough. It's a great album and the DVD stands up today. A bloody great band that deserves more exploring.
I think the expletive word "bloody" is originally from England and we use it in Australia too. It's usually used when you don't want to use the "F" word.
You do have a bloody right, but Rick also says, "Me I don't care anyway." Just because you have a right to say, doesn't mean anybody else has to listen to you or care what you're saying! More Supertramp please!
I grew up with Supertramp on the radio, and I'm realizing watching these reactions and not really listening to them for decades and not being a SuperFan, but nonetheless I can sing/know the lyrics to their radio hits. Realizing how much of the soundtrack Supertramp was to my seminal years. Wow. For sure. They definitely evoke an emotional response.
For sure, 'Bloody well right' is a British expression. The entire Crime of the Century album and the follow ups Crisis, what Crisis? Even in the quietest moments and Breakfast in America are loaded with superb concept themes and brilliant writing and musicianship. Rick Davies on lead vocal & keyboard, John Heliwell on sax & vocals and Roger Hodgson on keyboards and backing vocals and Dougie Thompson on guitars. Incredibly talented.
Asia gets it..... love her facial reactions.. BJ.. your there too... in a bit of a different way... love you both... ty for reacting.... luv your channel... ty!!!!!!! ✌😎
Bloody Well Right is a typically British thing to say. I don't know what accent that was AJ, but it certainly wasn't an English or an Irish one! 😂🤣 Love you guys, love your reactions - love & light from The UK
HEYYYYYYYY!!! 😊GREAT ALBUM ( CRIME OF THE CENTURY ) DEFINITELYYYY IN THE TOP 50 ROCK ALBUMS OF ALL TIME YOU GUYS! 💯😊 ENJOY ASIA AND BJ! THIS IS NO BREAKFAST IN AMERICA CRAP, THAT'S FOR SURE! THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL EARLYYYYY PROGGY SUPERTRAMP👍
You bloody well right lol. Such a good and fun song :D They are a good band and had great hits. "Bloody" is a cuss word in the UK, but not one here. For example, U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday."
Hi guys love your work , have look at TAJ FARRANT - new song Crossroads. this kid will be a rock lengend at some stage. he is one of the best guitarist in the world already. He played with Santa when he was 10 or 11.
Double dog dare anyone, with the grill going, sitting by a pool whether it's yours or not..😂) and a drink poo in hand put on Steely Dan and Supertramp on random mix, and tell me that wasn't a great afternoon.😂❤😂❤
The sax has been off and on throughout this entire song actually. The second opening solo after keyboards, was mostly done by sax. I know because I used to play it when I was younger.
Something that a lot of us Americans don't pick up on is that in British English "bloody" is a HORRIBLE swear word!!! It would be like an American saying "yeah, you're fů**in right."
Great song and a great reaction. But I swear, I could watch Asia react to paint drying and I'd still be a better man for it. BJ, you are one lucky son of a gun.
You can't go wrong with Supertramp. Bloody brilliant band.
And fantastic live!
Right right you're bloody well right.
Bloody well right lads!
Asia & BJ, you'll Love their "Take The Long Way Home" and "Dreamer" !!!!
"Take the Long Way Home" by Supertramp is fantastic!!

James Taylor's "Handy Man" is the story of a player as well...
The outtro on that is orgasmic, but as an album,I much prefer Crime of the Century, but that whole run of albums was brilliant.
Fell in love with them in 1977 with their Crime of The Century album.
Definitely a rabbit hole worth diving into....lots of great music! Thanks for reacting to them...one of my favorite bands❤
Our pleasure!
Early 70s British Band. So many great songs from this iconic Band.
And right there with Steely Dan and Pink Floyd....!
(Maybe not as many tracks, but the quality is there.)
This song from Crime of the Century , for most Supertramp fans the best àlbum !!! Every are master pieces.
School , Rudy , Crime of the Century , Dreamer !!!
Keep on rocking.
this is my All Time Fav Supertramp Tune! I love the keys & sax, over that groove.
The entire "Crime of the Century" album is fantastic!!
That song was a whole vibe. Nice.
Asia/BJ great song glad you liked it. You would really enjoy School off the same album of what you just reacted to. Thanks for what you guys do.
You’ve got to hear Child Of Vision. If you love a long piano solo this one is for you
This band was so F*****G talented and awesome!
Supertramp was about to fade into oblivion when they released "Crime of The Century".

The engineering of this song, the stereo effects on headphones is so superb!!
Great reaction ! Please check out their song " Gone Hollywood " as well .. That electric piano , bass line, and sax really shine thru ! 😊
Love the channel you two...being a teenager all through the 70s, this brings back tons of memories...among other bands, this band was always near the turntable, and within arms reach in the car when cruisin' main...thanks for bringing back some awesome memories...Rock ON!!! Yes! Supertramp. Great track too.
I can't recommend their 1979 live album Pairs enough. It's a great album and the DVD stands up today. A bloody great band that deserves more exploring.
Supertramp,yet another fantastic,iconic BRITISH band.
You two consistently make my day. Much love.
I think the expletive word "bloody" is originally from England and we use it in Australia too. It's usually used when you don't want to use the "F" word.
The more times I listen to this song the more I love it, especially being a progressive rock fan.
You do have a bloody right, but Rick also says, "Me I don't care anyway." Just because you have a right to say, doesn't mean anybody else has to listen to you or care what you're saying! More Supertramp please!
I SOO love y’all’s reactions…❤ They’re fair… 🙏🏻👏👏
"NIGHT BY NIGHT" ~ Steely Dan
My FAV Supertramp tune....!
This song has like “99” different changes, and they sound great, but once you know the song you begin to look forward to the changes as they come up
👍Thank you!
Luv me sum Supertramp ! 🔥😎
One of the best intros ever.
When I was growing up, I heard "King Biscuit Flower Hour," on the radio. Didn't quite understand it at the time.
Supertramp was such an unique band, oh my, so good and intersting. Love them.
Supertramp always got me in trouble, because you had to turn it up and the wrath of the father pounding on your door 🚪
WOW I CAN DIG THIS SONG🔥
Saw their last tour in St. Louis back in 79 I think it was. Maybe in early 80's.
you guys should take a listen to "Dreamer"
Nice guy's. Thanks for the memories!😃🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Supertramp never put foot wrong with their unique sound!
The screaming guitar get Asia every time!
Asia......BJ.....
.ya gotta a bloody right to say!!!
Hell Yeah, y'all, it's English Great Britain
Loved this band, and was so young I didn't know I was listening to prog rock. EDIT: Love your movie reactions. 😊
Excellent Band , excellent meaning
For sure, 'Bloody well right' is a British expression. The entire Crime of the Century album and the follow ups Crisis, what Crisis? Long way home, breakfast in America, great music

Asia gets it..... love her facial reactions.. BJ.. your there too... in a bit of a different way... love you both... ty for reacting.... luv your channel... ty!!!!!!! ✌😎
😊 thank you
Write your problems down in detail, and take them to a higher place. Best lyrics in the song
Followed by the 2nd best lyric "You've had your cry, no, I shouldn't say wail, In the meantime hush your face."
Bloody Well Right is a typically British thing to say. I don't know what accent that was AJ, but it certainly wasn't an English or an Irish one! 😂🤣 Love you guys, love your reactions - love & light from The UK
Yous are the best reactors I ever seen
One of the few times I liked jazz was the piano opening riffs in this song. 😏
Great band! Underrated 🎶🍻
Rudy from the same album is a great one.
Asia and BJ I love you guys. Keep the taste going.
Bloody is a English term it means damm, and you are right you have a damm right to say what's on your mind.
You bloody well right lol. Such a good and fun song :D They are a good band and had great hits. "Bloody" is a cuss word in the UK, but not one here. For example, U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday."
Another underrated band. Full of jits.
No Race, Creed or Colour. You got a Right to Speak your peace.
great musicians
I hate to tell you guys but Ireland is part of the UK-United Kingdom (England too).🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi guys love your work , have look at TAJ FARRANT - new song Crossroads. this kid will be a rock lengend at some stage. he is one of the best guitarist in the world already. He played with Santa when he was 10 or 11.
You could make a case for a saxophone accompaniment in every song…..ever
"You're FVCKIN Well Right..." (Translation) ;)
"So you think your schoolin's phony.
I guess it's hard not to agree.
You say it all depends on money.
And who is in your family tree".
So many great Supertramp songs to listen to guys, I'd like to see a reaction to 'Dreamer' at some point though.
Supertramp is seldom mentioned on any “best” list, which is almost criminal.
Love these guys. 🙂
Oh I needed this.
❤
Amazing group!!!!!
Can't go wrong with the Tramp.
Double dog dare anyone, with the grill going, sitting by a pool whether it's yours or not..😂) and a drink poo in hand put on Steely Dan and Supertramp on random mix, and tell me that wasn't a great afternoon.😂❤😂❤
"Bloody" is an English/UK term that can be translated loosely into Fuckin. So this could be seen as 'Fuckin, damn right!"
I had this cassette tape ass kicker😊😊
The sax has been off and on throughout this entire song actually. The second opening solo after keyboards, was mostly done by sax. I know because I used to play it when I was younger.
Hi Guys : Carlos Santana and Taj Farrant Las Vegas not Santa My Typo.
Hustle it up guys
Just noticed you haven’t done Dreamer up yet !?? Easily the most kind blowing Supertramp song.
Over the Target y'all .
Crime of the century
wait for ..wait for it... da da da da da da da da da ...excellent intro yo'
Super Band.
Off topic but Harry Mack dropped a video yesterday that you two would love! He got to free in front of Ice Cube🙌
Big surprise they like it
Something that a lot of us Americans don't pick up on is that in British English "bloody" is a HORRIBLE swear word!!! It would be like an American saying "yeah, you're fů**in right."
somehow ,the longer the intro the song seems to end too soon
Great song and a great reaction. But I swear, I could watch Asia react to paint drying and I'd still be a better man for it. BJ, you are one lucky son of a gun.
Great reaction.
