    My TDI sounds like this, and is coming from the same location. I want to view it to see if there is a crack or loose bolt, so what section do I remove to view to bolts?

      There is not much you can do to see the flywheel where it falls apart.

      I’ve never removed that plate before, have you tried to push on it where it’s a little accessible under where that axle attaches and see if you can change the way it sounds?

    Hi greetings from Puerto Rico, thanks for the channel, I’ve been learning a lot first of all im new to this automotive technician world and already have worked in a European mechanic shop, but I currently have a 2007 Audi a4 which my fans are now working is there a social media platform or another way we’re we can communicate so i can tell you the steps that I’ve done so far or what else can I verify to see why they’re not working?

      @@EuropeanAutoRepair you’re welcome and it has a couple but only one has given me suspicion that is 00819 high pressure sensor that belongs to the A/C system, because from what I’ve read this cars cooling system goes along with the a/c system or could i be wrong?

    when im at idle, at stop, i hear a light scraping, a humm. When i drive about 30mph on roundabout to LEFT, more i turn, more i hear it louder. gear changes are good, accelerates good still. But i keep hearing unnecessary sound all the time, its pisses me off.

    hey boss thank you for posting this! im a noob trying to diagnosis why my starter motor spins without engaging the flywheel (took it out tested it, greased it works fine), my TDI is 200,000 miles so im thinking it could be the fly wheel.
    Noob question but, while in 4th gear spinning a tire, should i see the outer teeth move? i can see part of my flywheel from underneath (it's lifted up), but the teach dont move. nor can i manually move the fly wheel.
    does this mean it's shot?

    • @EuropeanAutoRepair
      @EuropeanAutoRepair  Год назад

      That’s kind of strange one, so your starter tests well on the bench but when installed it doesn’t crank over the engine?

      @@EuropeanAutoRepair think i figured it out. i have one of those funny starters made by Hitachi that has a gear selector cable bracket made on to the housing, apparently were only in production for 2 years. my engine is a BEW.
      anyways the housing has a big crack on it that appears to be messing things up. ordered a rebuilt one from a TDI mech, will let you know how it goes!
