I've had thin hair since I was a kid now I am 23 and still have that thin hair. It's not bad as bald but sometimes you can't do a hair style you want. But it's fine as long I have hair.
I have very similar hair. When I was in my early 20s some people said I would be bald by the time I'm 30, well I'm 37 now and my hair is exactly the same ( possibly 1% or 2% hair loss, if that ). Where as a lot of the guys I grew up with have lost most if not all of there hair. Drink water , take folic acid and biotin. Also shampoo only every 2-3 days, conditioner once a week
Gary Martin Cool bro nice to hear that alot of ppl be jealous of someone's hair lol but you mention folic acid is it healthy for the body or teeth & should I take biotin in capsules? & How much biotin How many days??? Please help me☺
Ugh. I hate getting my hair cut. I have fine hair. I always hear "your hair is so thin. Try this product that costs your life savings." It's not thin, it's fine. My hair is fine. Ugh!
Alex Noriega if you want to you could use a thickening shampoo and/or a thickening conditioner, overtime It's going to make your hair look and feel fuller.
Lighting can dramatically change the overall look of your hair, too. I'm 38 and have a full head of fine hair, and when the light hits directly on my hairline, it looks like my hair is thinning a bit. That's only if I don't have any product in it.
Oh God thank for this video. Im 15 and noticed my scalp even though my hair reaches up to my nose. I was stressing that I might b going bald but ig I just got really fine hair, which sucks as I think coarse hair is nicer but atleast ik I'm not thinning. Thx for the video, you got yourself a subscriber
Use coconut oil helps alot and for products try a wax or mold have fine hair too its a bitch to find the right hairstyle oh and dont use blowdryers but if u do use cold air only and shower with cold water
I'm 17 an I noticed that too at age 15 it is really hard to live with that especially in highschool since society and bs like that unfortunately I have not found anything to deal with it
I noticed thinning spots on my head head when I was 16. Today im 30 and still have the same amount of hair. If you worry about it, you really could lose some hair.
Thank you! I’ve always been confused about my fine hair and how to work with it. It’s hard finding styles online because every person featured has rich thick hair. Please do more videos geared towards your fine hair type. Especially styles that are achievable with it, and maybe some celebrities with the same hair type.
Everyone tells me that I'm going bald because sometimes when my hair i wet you can see a little bit of scalp but after this video I can finaly explain why this happens!
You are actually one of the very few you tubers talking about men’s hair and gets it dead right! You have the same hair type as myself and every video I tried to relate with, they had thick hair and it wouldn’t help. Thanks for the breakdown
omg this is just what i needed to hear , i recently shaved all my hair off and now that it’s growing out i’m worried i can see my scalp and i feel insecure about it but yeah i’ve always had really fine strands of hair so thnx :)
It's a shame that we have to make these types of video's. Great video however and I hope that people will stop calling you out in the comments for getting bold from now on.
I have fine hair that is thick. My problem is all stylists and cosmeticians LOVE the thinning shears. Especially the new cutters. When they use the thinning shears, my hair lays FLAT with no body and it looks like I’m balding. I’ve had to start BANNING them from using them. You would be amazed how many cutters get frustrated then they actually have to give a great cut and not rely on the thinning shears. One thing I have learned is if your hair is short, use texturing powder. If your hair is long use a light creme or clay to hold it in place.

This video eased my anxieties and insecurities about my fine hair, thank you so much man. I have almost the same hairline as you so its nice to see im not alone and that its quite normal. Cheers 🙏
I have the exact same hair as when I was 10 but now when I shower there is some loss and when I'm on school sometimes I see hair falling I actually have the same as you
Larry Camarillo as he pointed out, he said 90% of hair youtubers have thick coarse hair. For me to get my hair in place and stay there, I have to use a hair dryer, pre styler, brush, and light weight finishing product. If I fail to use one of these it just falls down.
I was always worried about going bald. Since I was eighth grade. My classmates would tease me for having “bald spots” because they can see my scalp in some areas. I actually thought I was going bald. But now I know why i have a visible scalp. It’s because I have really fine hair🙃
Thank you for this man, I thought I was going bald. My hair still falls out though, don't know if it's natural to lose hair during the day. But I'm not balding at the back or on the front.
Wiehan Vos sounds exactly like my case. I had a bunch of hair falling out but not from the front or crown. Go see your doctor and get your blood tested. My fallout was due to extreme stress and from having a 104 fever a couple months earlier.
Humans lose more than 100 strands of hair per day. You will notice how much hair you lose when you shower or when you comb your hair. If you notice it to be beyond 100 hairs it is best to see a doctor because there could be an underlining cause such as stress, poor diet, and or an illness.
I got fine hair which I love but sometimes I freak out because I sheed hair like a cat wen I shower lol but then I'll be calm because losing hair is normal & everyone sheeds differently then i had did a research n I read it was due to using hair products plus pollution exc & that in order to solve it you need to detox your scalp💯✌
I have fine hair too but it randomly started thinning a few months ago. If you’re noticing an unusual amount of hair fall then go to your doctor and get a blood test done to see if it’s due to sickness or stress.
Wow very helpful i thought i was going bald because when i tried to tie my hair in a man bun i noticed i can see my scalp in the sides. Therefore i can conclude that i have fine hair. Thanks man!
I do believe I have fine hair since hairline doesnt seem to recede and it has the same density everywhere but every time I see skin I start to worry about it
Thanks for the info, I currently in need of this information and explanation, I've been paranoid for the past few months or so, yet again, I'm the victim of "Oh i can see my scalp whenever my hair's wet, so perhaps I'm going bald(?)" Type of deal, yet again, thanks
A good way to know if you have fine hair is to think what kind of hair did you have as a kid, if you've always had the same kind of "thin" hair, you probably have fine hair. But if your hair in recent times has noticeably become thinner you probably have thinning hair.
Is the left image in the thumbnail thinning hair or fine becasue I’m 16 and Asian and that’s exact my hair all see through but I have the straightest hairline non receding
Most Asians have really fine hair and if your hairline is not receding your probably just have fine hair and your lucky Asians are the most less likely race that experiences hair loss😂
Well here’s a fun one for you. I have very very fine hair follicles but my hair is very thick (above average number of strands). I have multiple strands growing out of each follicle. This isn’t the case with my facial hair. My facial hair roots are far deeper than average, but the follicles are very thick. I still have multiple strands growing out of each follicle, but not as bad. This makes ingrown hairs a constant issue. Lastly, I only have this fine hair issue above the corners of my brows (mostly on the top of my head). The hair on the sides is a mixture of the texture of my facial hair and the increased number of strands I have on top. If I do not keep my sides cut very short, the hair is so thick that it is unmanageable, and it doesn’t work at all with the top of my hair. Styling the top of my hair is always a pain in the ass. There’s a very specific length where you can’t see my scalp with a spikey look, but once it grows just a little, it’s too long to work with. I can’t get textured looks at all. Even with powders. Because I have so much hair that it still looks strandy. My hair also gets oily as hell about 8-12h after washing no matter what I do. Hair dressers never believe me about this until I show them, but high hold mousse or gels? 😂 Put as much in it as you want. My hair is so soft that it doesn’t do anything (without using conditioner). You can put it in and my hair doesn’t change. Still smooth. No hold. I have to use putty. Only the strongest hair spray will come close to holding it in place for a few hours. I can’t use conditioner at all or my hair will be so greasy I can’t stand it. I don’t need it though. Anyone who ever cuts my hair says it’s some of the softest they’ve ever felt. I’d give anything for some dry, rough hair fine or thick. But the management difficulties of thick hair combined with the same of fine hair is like like some cruel ass joke. My hair can either be about 1.25 inches long or 8 inches long. There’s no room in between.
Thank you for clearing the confusion 👍👍👍 I just saw my 3-4 year old FB photos and I realized that I still have 90-95 % same hairline as compare to then. Thank you so much for making this video 🙏🙏🙏
I had really good hair not thick not fine just the perfect fit, when I was young I always had a buzzcut never grew my hair out idk what happend but my hair started to get really fine but people didn’t notice it at all only if I told them because it was super short I think getting a buzzcut is the best for fine
Got fine strawberry blonde hair but more on the blonde side. It’s a very unique look for where I’m based in HK, so unless I go to a good barber or expensive one, I come out looking worse than I came in most times, but my hair has not changed since I could grow a full head of hair
I have fine hair and sections where it looks like I'm balding and my friends have told me I'm losing my hair but I am not. I choose to wear a hat when it's raining to stop it getting wet.
Like having fine hair. I can achieve a "faux hawk" style without having to use any products. Basically just have to run my hands through my hair when it is damp. Fast and cheap to style. Probably cause along with having Fine hair, it is also wavy, and it easily grows upwards.
i have exactly the type of hair u have ...but i have hairfall so it gets me tensed at times..i dont use a product at all ..i dont have acess to all the products u do ..could u tell me the style u tell the barber to cut
FINALLY, someone with EXACTLY the same hair genes as me, I can tell you that my hair is really strong, I barely see 1-3 hairs falling out when showering and stuff, so you're not going bold just cuz you have fine hair, but I did noticed that my temples receded a little bit, though that's not because of fine hair, it's just my dad's stupid genes, he has receded temples as well, but no crown or anywhere else.
Yeah my hair is the exact same i don’t know many people with this type. So far i haven’t had any recession but i look pretty similar to him in regards to my forehead size
I always thought I have thinning hair.. but then I realized I just have fine hair since as a child.. and I just noticed it at my teenage years because some of my friends told me that my scalp is very visible when wet.. or in direct sunlight. My hair line stayed the same and my hair have always been visible thru does means..
I’ve always had a bigger forehead and an uneven hairline, but I didn’t start paying attention to my hair until I was 18 (I’m 21 now) and it looks exactly the same, but with higher amount of lighting under it. It gives the impression that’s it’s receding when it’s not. It also doesn’t help that around my temples I don’t have as much vellus hairs (the thinner hairs on your hairline that are 3 cm that most men have)
I have a question. I am 15 years old and the last 2 months i have noticed that i lose daily more hairs than i did before. I also have dandruff and itchy head but i am not sure if these are related. Is there any possibility of this hair loss/shedding happen due to stress( i am usually very anxious) or is it alopecia? info: no one in my family is bald apart from a grandfather of mine whose hair are very thin but he is 80 years old.
I was worried that i that my hair was thinning as i can see most of my scalp on top of my head but my barber said you're hair has just gone fine and you probably won't go bald. In previous photo's of my younger self it was alot thicker on top back then.
For anyone wondering what you can do to achieve a better look than dead hair resting on your head, cut out shampoo as much as possible. I find that I can clean out my hair with higher pressure shower head. Diet is extremely important for scalp health. I use Davines Paste product ever since I was introduced to it 7 years ago and I have not found a product that does the same. It does not gunk the hair, I somehow achieve incredible thickness and volume compared to no other product at night when I go to bed (sad it does not happen before work). I apply it to my hair in 2 or 3stages depending (a minute or two between) on length, and then let it dry. Have used different volume powders that dry out the hair. If anyone has achieved something similar please share.
My brother has fine hair, he always cuts his hair down to a 2. I joke with him and say he's going bald. But he just has fine hair like you explained, because the coverage is still there.
A high forward in anthropology is usually the sign of high testorone. You should be grateful for that. They usually do go bald to some degree early on though.
There are different types of balding that are not always in the Norwood scale. I have a friend similar to your type of hair - the whole scalp started to thin without any receding... but it continues.
I've got rather long fine blonde hair, with ye, a rather large forhead. And i've legit just had the thought planted in my head, that i was gonna go bald - since my bear growth is more widely spread than the guys at my age. (16-17).
My mom keeps telling me I have naturally fine hair because her father and her brothers have identical hair to mine, but my dad is bald so I'm not 100% sure which is true. I don't have tufts of hairs coming out but when I run my fingers through my hair I can get 1 or 2 hairs to fall out once in a while. In the shower I would say 10-15 hairs come out with shampoo with water none come out. Is this balding or am I just overreacting?
Just noticed i could see my scalp when i was looking close at my hairline in a lighted room, thought i was going bald, which i found weird since my dad (70 yo) and brother (40 yo) have both hairlines that could belong to a 18 year old :/ Guess i just have fine hair and never noticed?
I have fine hair, and I've always thought I have less follicles per sq cm than I'd like, but I don't have any balding spots or even much of a receding hairline (I'm 56). So, are most people born with the same follicle density and just differ in hair thickness? Or are some just born with fewer folicles per sq cm?
I have very thick hair and healthy hair, I have never used any products in my life for my hair except water and shampoo I dont even do my hair in the morning and it looks perfect, but I have a very high hairline since I was a child and its receeded like 4 cm since I was 11 im 21 now will I go bald ?
The big youtubers are making loads of back to school video's, that's why small channels like us don't have a chance with ranking these video's, why we/I don't make them that often anymore.
My hairlines always a U shape but the borders go back a bit further then they did a year ago. I’m not sure if this means I am thinning or just getting a mature hairline?
I pretty much have the same hair as the guy in the video from the front. My hair is almost like dark blonde spider web. My hair looks the same as in pics from 5 years ago. I just used a hand mirror to look at the crown of my head, and holy hell, I can clearly see my scalp. FK!
@Ben Arthur you are entirely incorrect about this debate you are having. Hair can go from a decent size for each strand and get progressively thinner in thickness until they stop growing.
how many years ago are your comparisons? I doubt your hairline is exactly the same as say 5 years ago but would be interested to see (fellow fine hair guy here)
I had fine hair, then thinning hair, then super thinning hair, then a celebrity hair transplant, now it's just fine hair, with a couple of greys now. Fucks sake, just got my new hairline and it's greying at 30. LOL!!! Lucky I've got the money! Use clay for fine hair, and all those other sprays to make it thick. Mousse too.
I've had thin hair since I was a kid now I am 23 and still have that thin hair. It's not bad as bald but sometimes you can't do a hair style you want. But it's fine as long I have hair.

Drink water , take folic acid and biotin. Also shampoo only every 2-3 days, conditioner once a week

thanks for the advice bro
Jeff Gee, yup. My hair gets greasy overnight. Washing it every day is like a must
Did u have a receding hairline?
Ugh. I hate getting my hair cut. I have fine hair. I always hear "your hair is so thin. Try this product that costs your life savings."
It's not thin, it's fine. My hair is fine. Ugh!
LadyWeasel so what do you do to make it look thicker
LadyWeasel if your barber doesn't know the difference between fine and thin hair you should change barbers
I do nothing but wash it and brush it. Not going to spend the extra money.
Alex Noriega if you want to you could use a thickening shampoo and/or a thickening conditioner, overtime It's going to make your hair look and feel fuller.
My barber would tell me my hair is thin :(
I spent 2 years paranoid about my hair, thinking that I was going bald. Then I just realized it was fine hair.
@Sheriff Hoyt OMG me too! Lmfao!
Im not sure with my hair. Atleast it seems to have not always been as fine as it is now. So either it has gotten finer or thinner.
I'm in a similar situation. I think I have very fine hair but I'm not sure ! The dermatologist didnt think so, hence I'm confused.
You could still be balding imho. same for OP.
James Odeal same ive had fine since I have been born
Finally someone who understands. Good logical video👍
+RRR 949 thanks mate!

My hairline is not receding but i do have several thinning spots on top of my head and im 15
M TRIX same with me
M TRIX same dude. Hope we keep our hairline forever
Could be genetics or stress.
I'm 17 an I noticed that too at age 15 it is really hard to live with that especially in highschool since society and bs like that unfortunately I have not found anything to deal with it

Alex D did this with water stopped after drinking almost one liter wasn't even halfway to the video.
What did you expect?
I've had long hair for years and have always had fine hair. Will be unfortunately cutting it soon so I can get a good look at whether I am thinning.

Having thick hair is not as "easy to control" as you think. I get my barber to thin out my hair a bit because it is very difficult to manage

He’s bald now
I always thought I have thinning hair.. but then I realized I just have fine hair since as a child.. and I just noticed it at my teenage years because some of my friends told me that my scalp is very visible when wet.. or in direct sunlight.
It also doesn’t help that around my temples I don’t have as much vellus hairs (the thinner hairs on your hairline that are 3 cm that most men have)
Yes do a back to school style tips and essentials video
I may do, will take a look in my wardrobe
I have a question. I am 15 years old and the last 2 months i have noticed that i lose daily more hairs than i did before. I also have dandruff and itchy head but i am not sure if these are related. Is there any possibility of this hair loss/shedding happen due to stress( i am usually very anxious) or is it alopecia?
info: no one in my family is bald apart from a grandfather of mine whose hair are very thin but he is 80 years old.
That moment you cant find out if your hair is thinning or fine.
So?
Thanks for clearing my doubt.
Man you really understand my pain😂
Zack 99 you can make your hair thick if you want to. My hair is naturally thick but try home remedy solutions if you want thick hair
I was worried that i that my hair was thinning as i can see most of my scalp on top of my head but my barber said you're hair has just gone fine and you probably won't go bald. In previous photo's of my younger self it was alot thicker on top back then.
I just got a buzz cut. Works for me
what styling products would you suggest for mens fine hair?
Thank you
I got really great fine hair. My barbers compliment me on it lol. It get's quite thick when I let it grow out (which is good).
can fine hair with same hairline as yours rock a long hair?
hey dude does your father got the same hairline?
ive got medium thick to fine hair n it looks all goods
Thanks for the video. I thought i started to go bald holy shit. But now i know i just go fine hair
I have thin hair on top but very thick hair on back and sides
What hairstyles do you recommend?
I have hair exactly like yours
Fine and when wet can see through to my scalp.
I had just recently cut my hair a week ago and i got a light thin spot in the top of my head. What product you recommend?
I recommend inheriting good genetics.- every tip on youtube for hair loss.
My brother has fine hair, he always cuts his hair down to a 2. I joke with him and say he's going bald. But he just has fine hair like you explained, because the coverage is still there.
Does your brothers hair look like the pic in the thumbnail when he cuts down to a 2?
@@joseroda20more than likely
And I didn't use any hair products I just oiling only but I can see my scalp when it's wet or when under flashlight or sunlight so it's common
What if u got both???
A high forward in anthropology is usually the sign of high testorone. You should be grateful for that. They usually do go bald to some degree early on though.
There are different types of balding that are not always in the Norwood scale. I have a friend similar to your type of hair - the whole scalp started to thin without any receding... but it continues.
Does onion juice or derma roller helps to regrow hair??
I've got rather long fine blonde hair, with ye, a rather large forhead. And i've legit just had the thought planted in my head, that i was gonna go bald - since my bear growth is more widely spread than the guys at my age. (16-17).
This is so much me you relieved me thx so much
my hair has always been fine. in the last few years it started to thin also. gg me.
I won the lottery! I have thin and fine hair at the same time
My mom keeps telling me I have naturally fine hair because her father and her brothers have identical hair to mine, but my dad is bald so I'm not 100% sure which is true. I don't have tufts of hairs coming out but when I run my fingers through my hair I can get 1 or 2 hairs to fall out once in a while. In the shower I would say 10-15 hairs come out with shampoo with water none come out. Is this balding or am I just overreacting?
Its just normal bro when your hair fall betwen 50-100 a day
Is it ok to see ur scalp In bright Light?
Same problem but I guess I am thinning
Just noticed i could see my scalp when i was looking close at my hairline in a lighted room, thought i was going bald, which i found weird since my dad (70 yo) and brother (40 yo) have both hairlines that could belong to a 18 year old :/ Guess i just have fine hair and never noticed?
i grew my hair for a year and a half, i shaved it 3 weeks ago and i can see my scalp my dad says i'm not going bald but i'm really scared
Can we make our fine hair thick or corse ???
I have very thick hair and healthy hair, I have never used any products in my life for my hair except water and shampoo I dont even do my hair in the morning and it looks perfect, but I have a very high hairline since I was a child and its receeded like 4 cm since I was 11 im 21 now will I go bald ?
Just wondering how much hair do you loes a day ?
Thanks
i have been worrying about my hair for 3 years and thankfully its still the same...... so i conclude its FINE
Can you please make a back to school essentials video
The big youtubers are making loads of back to school video's, that's why small channels like us don't have a chance with ranking these video's, why we/I don't make them that often anymore.
too right mate! haha
What products do you recommend for fine hair but with high density?
Teodorescu Alexandru
I use htgrooming.com/collections/frontpage/products/matte-clay
Natural, not greasy, and holds well.
I saw my scalp this morning and I'm still in primary school
"is my hair line any different than before?" "No." lol:D
how many years ago are your comparisons? I doubt your hairline is exactly the same as say 5 years ago but would be interested to see (fellow fine hair guy here)
This aged well 😆
I had fine hair, then thinning hair, then super thinning hair, then a celebrity hair transplant, now it's just fine hair, with a couple of greys now. Fucks sake, just got my new hairline and it's greying at 30. LOL!!! Lucky I've got the money! Use clay for fine hair, and all those other sprays to make it thick. Mousse too.
