    Ben,
    Most of my life I had really think hair. After damaging my follicles up front and in the corners (bad scalp issues) I have been unhappy with my hair for a few years now. I used some of the products/types you suggested (Nioxin thickening and Seven Potions matte clay), added in the blow drying, made sure to cut down the shine, cleaned up some loose hairs and POW! Granted it's not perfect but I've finally learned to restyle my "new" hair instead of trying to style it like it was . I'm on the right track and I can't thank you enough. It looks 10 times better.
    FYI: I bought a ton if different products and types you suggest and found what works for me. Most likely I will give away what didn't work for me but it's money well spent to find out what did. I suggest others do the same.

    Came here to see if anyone was doing what I have done in the past. I have dark hair so I've used a black pencil for eyeliner to colt in some darker spots. I recommend trying to draw some thin lines but you need a lot and can be time consuming and a bit of a learning curve. Also you can just smudge it on there and blend it in if you have some hair to cover it up in thinning areas or if you style it so you can pull the hair down over. This helps in certain lighting, especially if you sweat a lot or a going to be sweating. It removes the shine and works wonders. Each hair color can have its pros and cons so don't be discouraged. I haven't cared lately since I'm older and my hair is turning gray. I do color my beard since that went gray in my late twenties early thirties because I love my beard. I also have always had a very short dark stubble which is next to impossible to keep dark unless you constantly are dying it and nobody wants to do that. So if anyone has tips for that let me know. Also I'm sure masquera would work on your hair line as well and may be better suited for this. I've never tried it because I sweat a lot or wear a hat most of the time now. But I'm sure there is something out there you can basically dry onto your scalp with a hairdryer so it doesn't get everywhere. Sucks getting old but remember we all are getting older together. And soon the young punks who give you a hard time will be in your shoes. Unless some amazing genetics in that area. I hear surgery has come a long way and if it makes you feel more comfortable and happy, and you ca afford it, go for it! I might one day! Good luck!

    I have a decreasing hairline as well but gel is the only thing that works for me. I have slightly curly hair but not curly enough to actually have a curly hairstyle so I straighten it out with gel. The way I do it is right after I take a shower when my hair is still decently wet, I apply super strong gel to my hair, make my hair look properly using a brush, let it dry and then brush my hair again in order to not have that wet, shiny look to my hair. Then my hair looks like I only used water but actually I spent a lot of time in front of the mirror in the morning.

    Best method I've found- Use rogaine, wash your hair every 2 to 3 days with good shampoos like Alpecin, etc, and the best part.... use toppik hair fibres with the spray nozzle. I'm just over a month into regaine mainly to try and help strengthen my temples. With the shedding phase, the toppik hair fibres really helps with coverage. Combined, your hair will look much thicker and like you have much more compared than when you step out of the shower. Until the regaine kicks in, toppik is a lifesaver but will probably continue to use it as it just generally helps. Bit of decent hairspray holds the fibres in no problem

    • @leckey119
      @leckey119 25 дней назад

      @lgh2447 yes best of luck mate. Just don't fall too deep into a rut of your life revolving around your hair and constantly worried as once you get stuck it's near impossible to get out of it and you hold onto every stray hair and unbeknownst to you it looks worse and obvious. You'll know once you hit that stage to just buzz cut it. Get a dark hairdye or blackening shampoo (Dex) and dye it once in a while for it to appear to have more weight and better hairline and that's about it bud

    Idk if I’m losing or not. I have really Curley hair and after I wash it seems thin but when it dries in a day or two it’s super thick. My moms does the same thing. Also get like 5-6 hairs on my hand when I shampoo . I just can’t tell with the hairline. I kinda think my is naturally higher. Always thought it was supposed to be perfectly straight across. I’m 20 now a it looks kinda the same as it did when I was 16 -17

      It might be a bit of both mate, as you can see from my videos, I've got something similar. I have had it since I was young, though it has got thinner over time. Some of it can be down to the way your hair sits, if the strands are going in opposite directions, it can increase scalp visibility. It's not something to massively worry about.

    • @brandonmartinez476
      @brandonmartinez476 3 года назад

      @@johncrow2852 I get what you're saying. I think back and i did a poor job of explaining the situation. My barber messed up my part by pushing it back to far and made the corner look like it was receding. My hair on that side never grew back the same since. My hairline was square at the time and after that it started to angle a lot and stayed that way on that side. No thinning or major signs of hair loss. Just a messed up hairline on literally just that side. Im sure the hairline was heading towards that way anyway but i feel like it sped up the process cuz it stayed messed up after that. Actual Hair loss and receding wouldn't start until 2 years after that.

    Think of it as a blessing. Honestly, fuck hair. My hair is thinning and I'm not really missing it at all. I shaved my hair short most my life just for the cooling and comfort of not having a bunch of hair making me feel warm. You have to shampoo it and then style it or do something with it. Shave it and embrace the freedom. Hair is for girls.
