For anyone worried, age 23 I had the corners booking it and every man in my family is bald so I feared the worst. Age 28 it's still going in the corners but much more slowly and I'm looking full on top so I have not gone bald. Only problem now is that the only two men in my family who didn't go bald died in their early 40's.

He’s been out of work for 2 years now with severe anxiety. Some people get it a lot worse than others, I started losing mine and although I’m self conscious about it I’m not entirely worried. My brother on the other hand it started a 2 year journey of anxiety.

I did use the dermaroer for 4 months and the oil that came with it but I don’t think it worked at all. I can’t tell if rogaine is working 4 months later and I know finasteride is a good idea but I hate taking medication, I’d rather scream the n word in a public park than pop a pill that’s not drugs lmao

I observed that I have a lot of hair fall since December last year. My hair grows an inch and a half every month however I Observed that my hair doesn't grow that long anymore in April.
It bothers me when dudes in their late 30s or older complain that theyre losing hair. I started losing mine around 17 or 18 and now at 23 it’s bad enough that I gotta start shaving my head. Just be grateful you got to live your prime years with all your hair! Edit: am 25 now and started shaving my head around the time I made this comment. I just keep my beard really thick and it’s not something I’m insecure about or even think about anymore. It’s not a big deal once you just embrace it lol. I realized I was losing my hair 8 years ago. First my aunts told me that it looked thinner, then I began seeing it myself. But the biggest warning was at 2015, I wanted the same cut I had several years before and the stylist told me that she couldn't do it because I didn't had as much hair as back then. Fortunately I went to a dermatologist and managed to save it with minoxidil and finasteride, and now 6 years after it looks great and I really take pride on it.
This is the positive reassurance I, and men, needed. Think men are so worried about it that other people don't understand how much it can effect us. I used to go around being so happy about how thick and full my hair is and now I've noticed it thinning slightly it's proper put a downer on me so thank you

my hair was fine, i grew out my hair and then i shaved it off again with like a 2. noticed that it was getting kinda patchy and my hairline was thinner, i been trippin every since. first thing i do anytime i look at someone is check their hairline. lol been going on for like a year now i even grew my hair out again cuz at least it hides any thinning lol

Losing hair and going bald is such a big deal because most men experience the first signs young - usually in their 20s. At this point even though you aren't bald yet, it's a beginning of the end sort of feeling. Like you just lost your youth and are on your way out. Some might even get existential crisis from hair loss.

Yeah balding started happening to me around 25. It wasn't even just a receding hairline, instead all of a sudden my hair was just incredibly thin all over on the top of my head, and it looked awful. Thick beautiful hair on the sides of my head, thin, sparse, see-through, scraggly hair on the top of my head.
Same thing here. I think a big part of it for me was ripping hairs out of my head while doing my hair back with pomade (my hair falls forward naturally). I'm pretty sure after doing my hair with pomade for a couple years I have irreversibly damaged a lot of the hair follicles. Just started using rosemary/peppermint oils to try to repair them but it may be too little too late.
That stuff scares the hell out of me. I'm 20 and a faint triangle formed in the center, although there was a perfect straight line of hair on the side of the forehead one year ago.

I’m 21 and my temples look thinner. I’ve been on minox for my beard for 9 months now. Noticed sometime in my 7th month that my temples look thinner. I wasn’t thinning at all before I started using minox. Not sure if it’s BECAUSE of the Minox or just my hairline thinning/maturing. I’m only 21 years old and being completely bald doesn’t run in my genes so I hope I’ll be okay. Lol

My forehead or hairline is like Paul George. I can get a line up with some cleaning. If I had to worry about this I’m sure it’s pretty stressful. Be strong guys
I noticed the receding hairline in the corners in my 20's. But I think working under a lot of stress really accelerated the progress. At like 27 the crown area started to show and the front started to recede in an uneven line. At 32 now my hairstyle is a low buzzcut to try and Match the top with my sides as best possible.
Prolonged negative stress is pretty much the worst thing you can do to your body. Quite apart from hairloss it can introduce and worsen all kinds of illnesses as bad as cancer and most likely accelerates aging as well. If you're feeling stressed all the time find the root problem that is causing it and solve it in one way or another. The worst thing you can do is hide and shy away from it, face up to your demons or they'll consume you, quite literally.

Starting from the end, you really look good with your scalp shape and with the system too.. And yes I agree with the hat thing exerting pressure and preventing ventilation. I try to keep my hair tie a bit loose and just let it fall down whenever appropriate.. I may add to this non punctual shampooing also may increase hairloss. Indeed as we age new unwanted hair grows everywhere., mine at back and ears
No wearing a hat will not cause hairloss. 99% of male hairloss is genetic. In stress it is temporary. But even if you didn't wear a hat, your genes determine how much hair you will lose. I've been consuming hairloss content for years now and the only way to prevent it, is minoxidil, finasteride, dht blocking shampoo, and microneedling. This will help slow it down.
I'm 16 and I started noticing that my hairline started receding when I was 14. I used to have a round hairline but now it's almost a complete M shape. When I see my hair strands that fell off, I notice that the root part is thinner than the top. I feel like my hair has thinned but since I had thick hair it's harder to tell.
Pretty sure you arent losing it, for many guys the shape of the frontal line chantes during puberty, You may had had a straight line and end up with an m. Thats natural and has nothing to do with androgenic alopecia. If You see that your hairline starts having abroupt gaps then ir may be alopecia

@@Ghoats it is technically the same thing, but some men are very minimally sensitive in areas beyond the frontal hairline. further hair loss could take 10-20 years to become noticable. The "mature hairline" is caused by androgens, which is why women dont get it, so it doesnt make sense to call it a completely seperate process, and means you aren't immune to mpb altogether.
If you’re noticing hair loss go to your doctor and talk about finasteride, it’ll save what you have and if you’re a lucky one bring some of it back. Starting sooner then later is really important.
I’m 17 and the corners of my hair line have resided a little bit over the past few years. I have thick full black long hair. I’m currently trying to use more higher end hair products and just taking care of my hair overall to try and prevent any more hair line recession
1. Try using hair products that helps with hair growth and hair thickness such as a biotin and collagen enriched shampoo and conditioner. 2. Try using essential oils such as peppermint, sandalwood or lavender oil. 3. Everyday or so try giving your scalp massage, particularly the area you’re experiencing hair loss in to increase the blood circulation and bring oxygen and nutrients to the scalp and improving hair growth. Also in turn this will help relieve stress and reduce any DHT (a hormone that is usually the main cause for MP-baldness). And 4. While this is usually sometimes the main cause for hair loss in some men; a unhealthy diet and a lack of nutrients like biotin, B12, Vitamin C and D, Zinc, and fatty acids can all lead to a not so healthy scalp and likely cause hair loss and a overall. Make sure take multi-vitamins supplements and try eating more healthier foods whenever you can. I hope this can help you. 🙏

I was born with high hairline and I used to have big forehead since I was a kid. I usually have long wavy hairs back in the day, but the school system in Indonesia is somewhat fckd and forces us to have really short hair. From that point my forehead becomes more visible and that's when I notice I have pushed back temples. I'm not quite sure if it always like that since I don't really care about my hair years ago. My hairline is shaped like short U. My father however goes bald on just his crown and it happens in his 50s.

as a teenager I used to have very pronounced corners of my hair, that used to be no more than an inch above my eyebrows. it looked like a little box above my head. those corners retracted as I came into my 20s but stayed there. so point being, don't stress about it

Please read this carefully. My balding started at age 16. 70 hairs per day. One day I decided to not apply anything on my hair just nothing. It is been only one year, I have lost only 50 hairs . Just shave the head and don't apply anything until you are dead
How to know: either corners are receding progressively all the time, or the infamous bald spot on the back, if it’s anything else get checked for thyroid or other scalp issues, those can be reversed! For the genetics, I’d only recommend minoxidil, but I’m not too savvy with any other niche and new treatments either lol

Your story sounds exactly like mine, got pretty unhealthy during the first covid lockdown and hair started falling. With a healthier lifestyle it stopped. Until a year later that is, when it kicked on again, unexpectedly. Nothing natural helped, because of course this time it was the real deal, what causes most men to go bald, androgenic alopecia. Long story short I eventually jumped on finasteride and it saved my ass. So watch out, don't foolishly think that it will naturally go away or that you can take some vitamin or massage the scalp, etc. When its the Norwood reaper the only "natural" thing that will stop it is castration, but no need to go to such extremes...for most at least.
If you had the genetics for going bald, don't worry, you'll be bald. I really like my hair but I've started to accept that I'll end up like my dad, so, my advice is: try to accept it, there are men really good looking without hair and it doesn't make you worse than others, it's all about self confidence.
@@catzagoon3516 Your mother’s mother has two X chromosomes, which carries the male pattern baldness gene. Even if your mother’s father didn’t go bald, your mother may still be a carrier for the gene.
I think a good way to tell (at the very onset) is if you are losing hairs that are shorter than they should be. Hairs go through a growing phase (between 2 and 18 years), a resting phase (a few months), shedding and a repeat of the cycle. If your hair is long (over a foot), the shortest hairs you should be shedding are those that were growing for 2 years. This means around 1 foot in length, since your hair grows about 6 inches per year. If you are losing hairs that are shorter than this (for example, hairs that are 6 inches long and fine at the tip - new hairs), it indicates a problem. Either telogen effluvium (brought on by severe psychological stress or physical trauma) or pattern baldness.
I've always had a recessed hairline. Even as a little kid. Lol. Growing up, I always had cowlicks in those two corners. When I became an adult I tried shaving my own head and I kind of ran the clippers along my scalp and I realized the reason I've always had those dumb cowlicks is because my hairline has always been thin right there. I think it's important to be yourself and stay amicable and happy. Because that makes you more attractive. Even if you have a bad hair day.
Start taking minoxidil and deutasteride asap, and if you have some extra spending cash get a few PRP scalp treatments a year. Do this as soon as you can. Totally balded ‘shiny’ areas can’t be brought back.
Had this issue at 30. Did hair transplant in turkey. Hairs all back and actually better compared to before. Cost me $3500 together with plane ticket. If you have enough think about it.

I am 33 and noticed that now, while my hair is thicker and faster to regrow than ever, i have concerning amounts of hair that just easily come out if I gently just grasp it with my fingers, or run a comb through

The problem is that when u have long hair the temples may not get much airflow from outside and they start falling,thats why to keep your hair its better to buzz cut,that way you will keep your hairline. Keeping your hair long is very very risky,you may end up losing hair in your temples and going from NW 0 to NW 2 in a short time,hopefully not. Not trying to scare you just giving u advice bro I hope ur hairline stays straight always :D

A lot of young guys believe that the first sign of hair loss means inevitable baldness, and thus they shave it all off. As an older guy (61) who worked the same job with many of the same people for 36 years, I can tell you that everyone is different. Some guys hair does race to baldness at a shocking rate. Others develop some degree of recession that then stays essentially the same for decades. For instance, when I fog on the job my supervisor had a thin - not bald, just thin spot on the crown of his head. He was around 55 years old at the time. Well... He he worked 'till almost 90 years of age and NEVER went bald. That thin spot didn't even bald.
My entire moms side of the family has really thick, fast growing hair. So, my siblings, including my male siblings, have really thick hair and for the girls, it grows out to our bottoms. For the men, it stays until you die. I guess my family is lucky,in that way. If you have mexican Gene's, like my family, you probably will be lucky like us.
I am mexican and getting bald. It depends on your family heritage, if you have more native american genes then probably your head is full of thick hair, but if you have more spanish heritage, like my family, then getting bald is pretty common.
Most men that lose their hair early have a lot of body and facial hair that’s all to do with testosterone/DHT. Unless you have alopecia most the time you can tell by looking at people in your family whether or not you’re going to be bald as well.
I started taking finasteride and my hair is thin but it hasn't gotten worse since I started taking it. highly recommend to any guys that aren't ready to be bald yet

I realized I was losing my hair 8 years ago. First my aunts told me that it looked thinner, then I began seeing it myself. But the biggest warning was at 2015, I wanted the same cut I had several years before and the stylist told me that she couldn't do it because I didn't had as much hair as back then.
Fortunately I went to a dermatologist and managed to save it with minoxidil and finasteride, and now 6 years after it looks great and I really take pride on it.

Losing hair and going bald is such a big deal because most men experience the first signs young - usually in their 20s. At this point even though you aren't bald yet, it's a beginning of the end sort of feeling. Like you just lost your youth and are on your way out. Some might even get existential crisis from hair loss.

Yeah balding started happening to me around 25. It wasn't even just a receding hairline, instead all of a sudden my hair was just incredibly thin all over on the top of my head, and it looked awful. Thick beautiful hair on the sides of my head, thin, sparse, see-through, scraggly hair on the top of my head.
That is actually a mental trick your subconscious plays on you, most people do not notice hair loss by the time 50% of their hair is gone.
Same thing here. I think a big part of it for me was ripping hairs out of my head while doing my hair back with pomade (my hair falls forward naturally). I'm pretty sure after doing my hair with pomade for a couple years I have irreversibly damaged a lot of the hair follicles. Just started using rosemary/peppermint oils to try to repair them but it may be too little too late.
That stuff scares the hell out of me. I'm 20 and a faint triangle formed in the center, although there was a perfect straight line of hair on the side of the forehead one year ago.

Prolonged negative stress is pretty much the worst thing you can do to your body. Quite apart from hairloss it can introduce and worsen all kinds of illnesses as bad as cancer and most likely accelerates aging as well. If you're feeling stressed all the time find the root problem that is causing it and solve it in one way or another. The worst thing you can do is hide and shy away from it, face up to your demons or they'll consume you, quite literally.

No wearing a hat will not cause hairloss. 99% of male hairloss is genetic. In stress it is temporary. But even if you didn't wear a hat, your genes determine how much hair you will lose. I've been consuming hairloss content for years now and the only way to prevent it, is minoxidil, finasteride, dht blocking shampoo, and microneedling. This will help slow it down.
I'm 16 and I started noticing that my hairline started receding when I was 14. I used to have a round hairline but now it's almost a complete M shape. When I see my hair strands that fell off, I notice that the root part is thinner than the top. I feel like my hair has thinned but since I had thick hair it's harder to tell.

Pretty sure you arent losing it, for many guys the shape of the frontal line chantes during puberty, You may had had a straight line and end up with an m. Thats natural and has nothing to do with androgenic alopecia. If You see that your hairline starts having abroupt gaps then ir may be alopecia

@@Ghoats it is technically the same thing, but some men are very minimally sensitive in areas beyond the frontal hairline. further hair loss could take 10-20 years to become noticable. The "mature hairline" is caused by androgens, which is why women dont get it, so it doesnt make sense to call it a completely seperate process, and means you aren't immune to mpb altogether.

I’m 17 and the corners of my hair line have resided a little bit over the past few years. I have thick full black long hair. I’m currently trying to use more higher end hair products and just taking care of my hair overall to try and prevent any more hair line recession
My frontal hair is thinning.
1. Try using hair products that helps with hair growth and hair thickness such as a biotin and collagen enriched shampoo and conditioner.
2. Try using essential oils such as peppermint, sandalwood or lavender oil.
3. Everyday or so try giving your scalp massage, particularly the area you’re experiencing hair loss in to increase the blood circulation and bring oxygen and nutrients to the scalp and improving hair growth. Also in turn this will help relieve stress and reduce any DHT (a hormone that is usually the main cause for MP-baldness).
And 4. While this is usually sometimes the main cause for hair loss in some men; a unhealthy diet and a lack of nutrients like biotin, B12, Vitamin C and D, Zinc, and fatty acids can all lead to a not so healthy scalp and likely cause hair loss and a overall. Make sure take multi-vitamins supplements and try eating more healthier foods whenever you can.

I was born with high hairline and I used to have big forehead since I was a kid. I usually have long wavy hairs back in the day, but the school system in Indonesia is somewhat fckd and forces us to have really short hair. My hairline is shaped like short U. My father however goes bald on just his crown and it happens in his 50s.

How to know: either corners are receding progressively all the time, or the infamous bald spot on the back, if it’s anything else get checked for thyroid or other scalp issues, those can be reversed! Your story sounds exactly like mine, got pretty unhealthy during the first covid lockdown and hair started falling. With a healthier lifestyle it stopped. Until a year later that is, when it kicked on again, unexpectedly. Nothing natural helped, because of course this time it was the real deal, what causes most men to go bald, androgenic alopecia. Long story short I eventually jumped on finasteride and it saved my ass.
So watch out, don't foolishly think that it will naturally go away or that you can take some vitamin or massage the scalp, etc. When its the Norwood reaper the only "natural" thing that will stop it is castration, but no need to go to such extremes...for most at least.
If you had the genetics for going bald, don't worry, you'll be bald. I really like my hair but I've started to accept that I'll end up like my dad, so, my advice is: try to accept it, there are men really good looking without hair and it doesn't make you worse than others, it's all about self confidence.
You need to find out if your mother’s dad went bald, not your father.

@@catzagoon3516 Your mother’s mother has two X chromosomes, which carries the male pattern baldness gene. Even if your mother’s father didn’t go bald, your mother may still be a carrier for the gene.
I think a good way to tell (at the very onset) is if you are losing hairs that are shorter than they should be. Hairs go through a growing phase (between 2 and 18 years), a resting phase (a few months), shedding and a repeat of the cycle. If your hair is long (over a foot), the shortest hairs you should be shedding are those that were growing for 2 years. This means around 1 foot in length, since your hair grows about 6 inches per year. If you are losing hairs that are shorter than this (for example, hairs that are 6 inches long and fine at the tip - new hairs), it indicates a problem. Either telogen effluvium (brought on by severe psychological stress or physical trauma) or pattern baldness.

I've always had a recessed hairline. Even as a little kid. Lol.
Growing up, I always had cowlicks in those two corners. When I became an adult I tried shaving my own head and I kind of ran the clippers along my scalp and I realized the reason I've always had those dumb cowlicks is because my hairline has always been thin right there.
I think it's important to be yourself and stay amicable and happy. Because that makes you more attractive. Even if you have a bad hair day.
Start taking minoxidil and deutasteride asap, and if you have some extra spending cash get a few PRP scalp treatments a year. Do this as soon as you can. Totally balded ‘shiny’ areas can’t be brought back.
Had this issue at 30. Did hair transplant in turkey. Hairs all back and actually better compared to before. Cost me $3500 together with plane ticket.

I am 33 and noticed that now, while my hair is thicker and faster to regrow than ever, i have concerning amounts of hair that just easily come out if I gently just grasp it with my fingers, or run a comb through
facts if u have a long hair u will notice more falling hair its natural i have a long hair but curly and when i wake up in the morning comb my hair or taking a shower alot of hair is falling but my hair is not thinning at first i worry about loosing my hair but my hair is still the same im just being paranoid btw alot of my dad side is bald and that makes me more worried about im 18 now but i my hairline is still the same
The problem is that when u have long hair the temples may not get much airflow from outside and they start falling,thats why to keep your hair its better to buzz cut,that way you will keep your hairline. Keeping your hair long is very very risky,you may end up losing hair in your temples and going from NW 0 to NW 2 in a short time,hopefully not. Not trying to scare you just giving u advice bro I hope ur hairline stays straight always :D

A lot of young guys believe that the first sign of hair loss means inevitable baldness, and thus they shave it all off.
As an older guy (61) who worked the same job with many of the same people for 36 years, I can tell you that everyone is different.
Some guys hair does race to baldness at a shocking rate.
Others develop some degree of recession that then stays essentially the same for decades.
For instance, when I fog on the job my supervisor had a thin - not bald, just thin spot on the crown of his head.
He was around 55 years old at the time.
Well... He he worked 'till almost 90 years of age and NEVER went bald.
That thin spot didn't even bald.

My entire moms side of the family has really thick, fast growing hair. So, my siblings, including my male siblings, have really thick hair and for the girls, it grows out to our bottoms. For the men, it stays until you die. I guess my family is lucky,in that way. If you have mexican Gene's, like my family, you probably will be lucky like us.
I am mexican and getting bald. It depends on your family heritage, if you have more native american genes then probably your head is full of thick hair, but if you have more spanish heritage, like my family, then getting bald is pretty common.

Most men that lose their hair early have a lot of body and facial hair that’s all to do with testosterone/DHT. Unless you have alopecia most the time you can tell by looking at people in your family whether or not you’re going to be bald as well.
I started taking finasteride and my hair is thin but it hasn't gotten worse since I started taking it. highly recommend to any guys that aren't ready to be bald yet
