    Recently I buzzed mine off. Best thing I've done. Like you I had plenty if not most people saying 'your fine, you've got plenty of time left'. This prolonged shaving it off until I realized I was only keeping my hair to please others. Many people like family and my girlfriend tried to convince me not to shave it until about 3 weeks ago when I went to my barbers, and for the last time I said, I hate my hair. Right there we took it to a 2. This although a positive step, highlighted my hair loss more, so a few days later I went to a 0.
    I had both positive and negative responses from others but most importantly for myself, I didn't have that worry which plagued me for the last 3 years. I'm not conscious of kneeling or sitting down and others seeing my thin hair. I'm not worried about getting a hair cut to cover my receding hair line. I'm bald and proud.
    I love what you do on this channel. I don't think anyone realizes what hair loss can do to a man and just how many people it affects until they go through it.

      But the total shave highlights the hair loss as complete and total doesn't it? Not saying it's a bad thing to totally shave but why does a horseshoe makes people feel nervous or bad but a total skin shave doesn't. I for one think a horseshoe looks good if done right. Watch the first season of star trek the next generation to see how Patrick Stewarts horseshoe looked. It framed his face perfectly and looked pretty cool.

So as soon as I've first spotted that my hair density going down and hairline receding, I went all in. I realized that I didn't want to dwell on it and drawn in self pity so I thought let's do it and forget the anxiety. I shaved mine off 2 weeks ago after years of constantly wearing a beanie and having long hair to hide it. Took it straight down to a 0. I know this channel is usually about loving the whole shaving thing. But honestly, I HATED it. I have a pretty big scar from cracking my skull as an infant. I had no clue how massive it was until now. Currently I'm rocking the stubble. I'm somewhere in the norwood 3 range.
    Personally, I think I'm going the transplant route. Props and mad respect to all of you. Seriously. If I thought I could rock the bald look, I would. I gave it a shot and did not like it. And that's fine with me too. Im glad I did it. It let me see a side of me I had never seen before and was/am terrified of. It has definitely been an experience. A massive change.
    I would still be the 31 year old wearing a beanie if it wasn't for this channel. It has definitely helped me a lot through the past few months. Seeing that it isn't just me.
    Who knows. Maybe in a few more weeks I will accept it better. Idk. Some days I don't mind that much and others it freaks me the heck out.
    Regardless, you're doing an amazing thing on this channel. This all needs to be spoken about more often in the world. It's a struggle to peoples confidence, which is a huge issue. Whether you rock the bald, hold on to what you have, or get a transplant, at the end of the day, you need to do what makes you feel confident.
    Best of luck out there everyone!

    • @NiMo5048
      @NiMo5048 Месяц назад +1

      The transplant won't solve anything. There is no transplant that will give you enough density. You will still have to take medicine for life. You will continue to constantly think about your hair every day. We must demand a real solution.

      Yeah it's great when people love the results and I'd totally get the relief of it. I buzzed mine early on with hair loss. And hated it. Head shape, the look didn't work on me at all. I lost confidence. That was a long, long time ago. I don't know if it was worth the stress of it all growing back, styling, worrying, treatments etc. But I did have quite a few years of decent enough hair. Now it's a bit worse and wondering what to do next. Some days I think buzz it off and move on, but still remember how much I hated that look on me.

    • @davidkosiba624

      @@NiMo5048The testosterone only affects the hair on the top which is why you never see completely bald people , the hair on the side and on the back is different and they are not affected by testosterone, with hair transplant they take out of that different hair so whatever they transplant it will never fall out like the original hair there , you only need to take some stuff for like a year and that's it , results depend on people individually , some do have very good results, some don't ,if some people can't gain let's say 10 year more of having good hair why they should not do it?

    • @NiMo5048
      @NiMo5048 День назад

      @@davidkosiba624 The medicines are not to be taken for the transplanted hair, although it is still debated, but for the hair that you have left. To have a vaguely decent density. A healthy person has 100k hairs on their head while the donor area if you are really lucky and find a good surgeon can give you 10k. If you do not take the medicines the non-transplanted hairs will fall out in a couple of years, not 10. Hair transplant is a precarious solution if you have small bald spots and if you take the medicines, otherwise you will go back to how you were before in a short time and you have also thrown away a lot of money. If you are n6 or n7 the transplant is completely useless. If you call this a solution you have very low expectations. It is a solution only for the surgeon's wallet.

    fascinating the really bald patch behind your ear - if that was stress induced you were totally right to stop worrying and go for the shaved look. That sort of balding is not treatable with finasteride! I have had 3 transplants and daily oral minoxidil and finasteride tablets, and scalp micropigmentation treatment on the FUE scars as well. It's a LOT of effort to get the hair looking like I don't have male patterned baldness, and not for everyone. If I was as handsome as you I probably would have shaved it all!

    I truly wish that men would quit thinking that they are "being brave" and "embracing the bald" by shaving their heads when what they are doing is running away from being naturally bald in an attempt to look young. Unlike my avatar, I've actually embraced my baldness and have the hair on the sides/back and a bald top. Heck, men have been accepting their natural baldness for decades/centuries but since we are so damn youth-oriented everyone rushes to shave their heads thinking it will somehow "hide" the hair loss. I'm sick of men saying, "is it time to shave my head" or worse, "I guess I HAVE to shave my head".

    I've buzzed mine off, initially thinking, damn, I'm looking great. Then I'm started seeing a different angle in front of a different lingning, and I'm like damn, the shadoff is visible, and this really stressed me out. I didn't know what to do. Keep it zero guard, slightly short or grow it back? I could have just kept long hair, with thinning on the top, and it would have been much less effort because to maintain a cool looking buzzcut, you got to trim it like every 3 days, which was just too much work for me and taking pictures of myself seeing how I look. So from now on, I'm embracing my thining balding spot, and just keeping it longer, like guard NO 2, and the sides number 1. Lastly, I grew a beard, because it just looks really strange with me having a young face, and a balding head, so to look more appropriate for my balding head appearance, a small beard is a must. Lastly, I really found it helpful when I saw a video with Harry having an interview with his father, who advised to experiment until you find a comfortable look. So thank you for that.

      DONT be sad that it’s over. Be happy that it happened.

    You looked pretty similar to 7 years ago. Would have tought maybe only a few months of vacationing, because you arent lean as you are now. Looking good man.
    Hope i also do (bald) when the thinning is becoming too noticable.

    A young boy disfigured in a few years. It's amazing how there is still no solution in 2024.

      Disfigured is a wild phrase man.

      There are solutions, plenty. It seems he just gave up and did nothing to slow down/reverse it. Not even talking about transplant.

      @@d3r4g45 Let's not kid ourselves, it's full of things that aren't a real, affordable and permanent cure/solution. Otherwise bald people would no longer exist. As long as hair loss remains in the hands of cosmetics we will never have a solution.

      @@Baldcafe I didn't mean it as an insult but it is semantically correct. I would say the same if you lost your nose or an ear.

    It's funny, sometimes you don't know how your hair will turn out later in life. Since I was a baby and all the way till my early 20's had really thick hair but that all changed the moment I turned 24. My scalp started to become more visible on the top of my head and as the years went on, my hair kept thinning more and more until I started having the horseshoe look lol. I'm 32 now and I gotta say, It was much harder to deal with going bald in my mid-20s but now that I'm in my 30s, It actually feels more normal to be bald😝
    I think the worst feeling is just losing your hair when you are young. I feel like it wouldn't be as bad if we started losing it in our 50s or later

      Wel yeah I'm sure it seems normal once you've lived with it for a while. But when it first starts especially when young it can suck. But let's say a 50 something had hair allhis life but started losing it. It's just as bad because he has been used to the way he looks a lot longer. But like anyone that person can stop it or let it go
