How often do you do serious cardio then? Cuz adding a bunch of muscle.. really doesn't mean much, generally speaking, to your health.

You should do a video on people who are 50-70 who have done steroids to see if they regret it. Sad to hear that kid say “I’ll just call it quits at 70 instead of live to 90”
The closer they get to 70, ill bet most will be regretting their decision.
It's sad seeing people past their 70s who basically aren't human anymore.
Bros gonna get to 70. Have multiple health issues and regret his decisions 💀
Shame they’ll be missing out on two extra decades of mental, physical deterioration and social isolation
I think 70 is generous. Many steroid users have died at like 40-50 and some much earlier
You can see the growth in Will by his content recently. Great job
I’m 19 myself and I was close to take steroids not too long ago. I already informed myself about what to take and already looked at studies and even had them in my shopping card at one point. Social media is not so much the problem that it influences me directly, it’s much more the people around me who think you have to be 220 pounds lean and jacked. I’m much more confident taking my shirt off but people saying “you skinny” or “this and that guy is so much bigger and better then you” really hurt when you hear it too often cause I’m really giving my best.
Why am I not on gear now?
It’s because of people like you who do videos like that and because of my ex bf who always complemented me for my physique and also another boi a few days ago who liked how I look and said I’m “hot”. It’s people like you and them that always get me back on track so thank you, really
The guy on steroids who can barley breath having “gasp” on his shirt is ironic
Only thing this guy runs from is a treadmill.
Also that bro doesn't even have a lot of hair to lose, guess he wants to be bald by the time he is 23.
He sounds like if he got into an argument he might pass out
This guy goes to my gym. He coaches his younger brother who is probably 12-14 years old. He will literally be panting out of breath sitting down on the quad extension machine while his brother does calf raises beside him. I do not think I have ever seen him actually work out but he is always sweaty and out of breath...
Yes gasp and better bodies is a body building brand. He is having trouble breathing because he’s training hard and using the gear to the fullest potential.
Comparison is the thief of joy. Be proud of your progress and don't destroy your life guys.
Orrrrr do what you want, but inform yourself and know the risks.
If you're scared of comparing yourself to others, it means you subconsciously know that you're inferior to them. Comparison and competition is essential in all aspects of life.
@@RashFever26 I agree in part on what you said, but it doesn't mean that if I don't compare my self to others, I'm automatically inferior to them... maybe I'm just focused on me. At the end of the day I live by me and for me, so ok comparing for the sake of doing better, but it doesn't have to become an obsession in a way that I start living by that.
Healthy comparison could be okay, but I think focusing of yourself and who you were yesterday is a better way of comparing yourself with "someone else".

Asking if you'll consider using steroids to someone who is on steroids is the worst insult ever lol
Bless that first kid’s heart. At 17 years old, I love that he was honest and made it known how much social media plays a role in influencing.
tbf as someone who does not use any form of social media maybe i am wrong, but does this stuff not appear on his feed constantly because he interacts with it? isnt the feed designed to show you stuff you engage with? could he in theory just unsubscribe from these roided fitness influencers and find others who are natural and try to "tune" his feed towards those peoples as rolemodels? best would probably be to stop using it alltogether, but with it being an addiction of that generation thats probably easier saId than done, but i always thought you have some sort of influence on whats shown on your feed depending on what content you engage with. might just be naive thinking on my part though, no idea.
Yeah I feel bad for him. Don’t know why the editor zoomed into his hands shaking, just no need to try and mock him for being nervous for being on camera or interviewed etc. Dudes 17 he needs to be guided and nurtured.
@@juliusfahlbusch3168 The way social media feeds are engineered, will often target your insecurities. The way we consume media is often negative focused, or basically risk aversion. Rather than viewing positive things, you're more likely to view things you AREN'T or that you can't achieve etc. You're slowely feeding yourself unrealistic goals and over times your views get warped. It's never a quick process and usually takes a bit of time, but it's insanely effective and it's why social media can be so ridiculousely lucrative.
Especially impressionable teenagers, they are already insecure in who they are, they're trying to find themselves in the world, so they're really easy to convince. This isn't new at all to our society, but we haven't taken advantage or abused this fact to quite the extent that it's being done today.

Sometimes for monetary reasons. When you’re jacked, you’ll more likely gain more followers on social media. More people are gonna buy your workout programs. You’ll have a better chance of getting a sponsor like gymshark and some supplement brand.
And like it or not, being jacked means that you’ll be perceived as having more credibility when it comes to fitness and exercise. Who do you think more people would listen to for fitness advice? A skinnyfat natty who has a PhD in sports science, or a jacked dude with 3d delts and an 8 pack abs?

Another great video!
I’m a 35 year old female and I never considered taking steroids, but when I was in my teens and early twenties I suffered pretty hard from an eat dis. (Not sure if I can say the whole thing without getting flagged?) and thought very often about taking diet pills. But thankfully I was able to realize that I didn’t want to deal with side effects then or for my future self just to be skinny. And the real B of the thing is looking back at pictures of myself then when I was really suffering with my ED and having my mindset that I do now, I was actually skinny! I just needed to weight train and I know it would have helped my mental health tremendously!
We didn’t have social media as intensely as we do now when I was really suffering, but we had magazines and shows and movies. Especially the 90s and early 2000s super skinny appeal. So I can definitely see the appeal some of these young guys and gals are dealing with.
It does make me sad to hear how young they are and they’re willing to shave some time off of their lives just to look bigger/more muscular. Especially the one kid who is about 21 and he said he would be good checking out by 70. I hope that as he ages his mindset shifts because as you get older, 70 really isn’t THAT old. I don’t have children of my own, but my 15 year old niece is basically like my daughter and I want to be around as long as humanly possible to spend as much time with her as I can, and as she gets older if she has a family of her own I want to spend time with them. Being healthy is the main goal for me now. I no longer have the desire to be “skinny” like I did during my ED time, but now I want to be strong and healthy. I want to be able to continue to care for my grandparents who are 93 and 88 and be able to lift them when needed (like I almost had to do with my grandmother the other day when she fell), help with things for my parents and mother-in-law. And be as active as I can be with my 15 year old niece running around like she likes to do. I want to be able to keep up!
I hope the ones that don’t want to take steroids because of the side effects continue to not want to take them, and I hope the ones considering taking them or are already taking them reconsider. 🖤
you people will never understand why i start using it and what i felt, too much focus on health issues but not focusing on issue i am having right now.(That kid who want to die at 70, i agree with him the issues i had in my 20s should have killed me faster than these steroids , i am 40 years old now and proudly say i am on steroids and they changed by life for good) So give T users a space to talk about it don't evil-ize it too much that we just decide to stop talking about it and what we really feel. its shame to see people being hesitant to answer but taking steroids

I've reached my genetic ceiling once in my lifetime when I was around age 26 after lifting for around 10 years. It is hard to do. As an advanced lifter you have to be really in tune with your body to know when to change things up here and there to keep making small gains over time as it feels like you are navigating your way carefully around plateau after plateau.
But in doing so I got way bigger then I ever thought I could and literally no one believed I was natural lol
This is the best content you've produced. You may even extend or save many lives with it! Thanks for doing this! Every time I've ever considered doing PEDs. I come on to YT to see videos like this to remind me I don't need to do them. I lost 131 lbs and got down to 12% bf. From 311 lbs to 180 lbs. I just finished my first bulk and now doing a little mini-cut. I need to continuously remember. I started this to extend my life for my wife and kid's... god willing. But once in a gym I fell in love with body building. It's like an addiction now... but a good one. Anyways good shit Will.

People worry about their hair, acne, libido, gyno but what they fail to understand is the difficulties on your organs. Most importantly, the heart.
Exactly. You build all this muscle that requires more blood, while shrinking the chambers in your heart that pump blood. Increasing demand while lowering supply.
i feel like organ issues are pretty commonly brought up by a lot of people. It's pretty common knowledge. I'd say gyno is less commonly known about than the added stress on organs.
You can't see the heart.
That’s why you do cardiac scans if you’re going to juicing
The heart is also a muscle, that's why it also grows, with gear use.

Also, the teen kids didn't once say he sees those same really jacked people in person, he just referred to social media. They can't any longer see the difference between real life and the total fakeness of social media. So imagine that goes with they don't think about the consequences at all.

@@yoanbertrand7926 It did change and demographic has expanded as well. Before it were some dedicated bodybuilders, lifters, bouncers and insecure morons. Social media pulled in many young and valuable people who wouldn't do it if they didn't see super jacked guys on daily basis. It has similar effect as super hot girls on social media, magazines, adverts etc. has on women.
Its not just that but also culture around it. I saw a guy on Instagram saying he was working out for 7 years. He had great arms, abs and shoulders but his pecs were super weird and small. My instant thought was that he has weird anatomy but overall its good. Man was i not prepared for that comment section..... Im almost 35 and going to the gym since I was 23. The natty potential is higher then most would think by just being smart about the traininglifestyle and being consistent.
When people say, "I've reached my natty potential," I hear, "I no longer want to make changes to my diet, exercise, or lifestyle." They are nowhere near their actual, physical limits.
Same I've gained 30KG (with a flat stomach but not abs) in 17 years of lifting
Yeah you fail to realize we are talking about western civilization here. Everything from the moment you are born and grow in this culture is all about me. What can I do to get the maximum results with the least amount of work. Who can I back stab to gain for myself? What’s lifted that message more than anything ever before is social media. So no matter what you’re gonna have people who would rather have their 15 mins of fame than to live a humble life.
it just needs 10 years of good training to reach and nowadays people want everything right now
What if you don't reach your natty potential but get to a physique that you really like and feel happy with? I just want to put on 20lbs of muscle or honestly even 15lbs would be great for me.
No I would never consider using TikTok
Instagram is the same thing now unfortunately
Imagine taking test and meth. How horny u would be. It would be scary

I have been working out for more than 10years and to me is not only about getting bigger. Its a mix between bodyfat % and that pump feeling after workout. People want to keep that feeling permanent. In fact many people when asked they like what they see in the mirror after a heavy workout. If they just could have that feeling forever they'll be happy.
I believe have achieved my max potential regarding muscle gains. To manage that I had to forced myself to eat loads of food so I can keep up and as expected you also gain some fat. The biggest problem (in my opinion) of being natural is having to deal with this balance of trying to max out the muscle gains and not gain much fat. Having time to balance your social life + professional and still hit the gymn to max muscle gains and cut the body fat is just an exausting process. You get tired of this routine after these many years.
When i was 22 I used to weight 71kg. After all these years working out (allways natural - protein & creatine are best friends) my regular weight sits now between 84-86kg and with 14/15% bodyfat. And let me tell you, when I finish my workouts I look into the mirror and it feels like i'm on steroids. The problem is, only lasts 20min hahahah
The point is,you get tired of the routine, sudenly you also ahve other responsibilities and other things you like to do as well and can longer dedicate that much time to min max to cut all the fat down to single digits % and thats where steroids come to play. You start wondering "I'm super happy with 85kg and this muscle mass I have at the moment but I just dont have time, patiente (cuz just been doing it over 10years) and time (cuz family, friends ,work and other fun activies you like to dedicate yourself) maybe if i just take a small dose of testosterone or something, then I will be able to shave of 2-4% my normal body fat".
And this is the tricky part. I personally dont believe people want to take steroids because they want to be HUGE. Many of them are already happy with their muscle gains but for several reasons they can't cut their bodyfat down to single digits. Then you log on social media and all these "influencers" are freaking lean as a god can be! They all have single digit bodyfat and of course they post images and videos with their muscles pumped from the workout to maximize the ideia of being big and lean.

21 year old trained for 1 year natural, starts doing steroids, "i don't mind taking a bit off my life, rather be strong and get to 70, than 90 and decrepit". Bro if you take for 70 years you're not going to get close to that age, and if not, then you're not trading strength for age, as when you stop, you're not really stronger when your hormones do not help you anymore. It's crazy that so many steroid users rationalize because they imagine they are gonna live for 100 years without, and steroids will only take a couple of "bad" years off in the end of their life, bro that's not how it works, getting a blood clot in the brain at 27, dying from liver or kidney failure at 32, or getting a massive heart attack at 44 is not anything like you imagine now is it? Waking up from a coma at 34 to live the rest of your life as a vegetable with major brain damage is not like this..
Aspirin, water and telmisartan doesn't exist?
They train for 'health'
this is the biggest misconception that exists.
they think that it’ll shave a few bad years off their life. no. it takes away from your healthy years. you’ll age to be miserable faster.
Lol best case scenario, dudes gonna be decrepit at 70 instead
@@JT-yx7vfthese guys don’t know what they’re talking about. They don’t consider these people having different genetics. What are their family’s genetic outliers? Do they have heart conditions in the family? Is there other common issues? People just think “steroids and die”.
The video was class... I love how you specifically followed interviewees' reasonings with Derek's words.
This. This video in particular is so entertaining yet still somewhat professional
it's hilarious and devious that you interviewed all the guys who were clearly on gear right after heavy lower body sets. they all sound like they're about to die. i appreciate that you're fighting the good fight tho
that 21 guy on steroids from 12:44 looks like he's 35
taking test just to look like an average lifter is wild
Nothing wrong with just test so its not wild at all , now taking all kinds of compounds just to look like an average lifter is wild
@@conormayweather5474 cope 🤡
No it is.. it is wild@@conormayweather5474
@@conormayweather5474 yes there is definitely something wrong with taking test wtf. Where are you hearing this from. If you take test from a young enough age(before 30 at least) your balls will shrivel up and your body will stop telling the testes glands to produce testostorone naturally. Some people may have to take external testostorone for their entire lives and struggle with erectile dysfunction. Dont fucking take test unless your doctor says you need it.
@@conormayweather5474exogenous test is just as bad as any other steroid. Youre still gonna experience side effects while on it and hormone deficiencies when you get off of it
Bloody hell. Social media's living rent free in the heads of some buds.
💀
yea man, even just having that app on your phone or an account without using it can mess with your head
I dont blame social media I blame them for caring.
I can relate with all of these people. I would never do it, but social media glorifies it. I appreciate the video.
Comparisons is steal of joy
To that dude who said at 12:33 that steroids will help you minimize risk of injury, it's actually the opposite
If you don't have the self-control to avoid pushing yourself too hard in the gym, something like Primo would probably decrease injury risk by enabling you to recover from the excessive training you were going to do anyway.
@@diablominero steroids weaken your tendons
weak tendons = muscle tears
@@revert5651 I'm no expert but I don't think they weaken your tendons. I think steroids can grow your muscles at such a fast rate that your tendons can't keep up and that's when the injuries start to happen
@@revert5651 training with insufficiently recovered muscles also risks muscle tears. I think the net effect of relatively refined steroids could be beneficial for some people.
@@luigui707 thats what i thought too but no, studies actually say that steroids weaken tendons
1 year natty before gear kid genuinely made me sad. I’m in my 30s, been training for years, already have a wife and kids and STILL any time i think about gear immediately talk myself out of it because i know i can improve my diet and training and still dont want the extra risks.
That said nearly every damn day social media makes me think about it
Wait till 40
so you never get strong
Then get off social media, or create a new account and don't follow or look at that type of shit. It's probably the best thing you can do for both your mental and physical health.
Iam 19 years old and iam also on steroids. But i regret it. But if you once started it you can't stop.

To be fair, having a sharps disposal container in a bathroom is a law in a lot of states. But having it at a gym is more likely to have steroid abusers then insulin needs.
Or heroin, lol.
@@BWater-yq3jxhaha, like taking a cannon to a knife fight for that nagging shoulder pain.
Interestingly enough, where I live I have a membership to Gold's Gym and Anytime Fitness. The Golds has plenty of people who are clearly on stuff, I've only seen maybe 1-2 people at the AF who are clearly on stuff. The AF has sharps bins in every bathroom, the Golds doesn't have any
I’m pretty sure he was being sarcastic there lol
Nothing wrong with Safe Consumption sites.
This is one of my favorite videos that Will has ever put out. People often dismiss the fact that men have deep seated insecurities about their bodies. To have someone who is natty post something like this is so important, and Will is truly doing the groundwork to spread the message about steroids while also being a great role model for what is possible without them. Great job!
Pointing out that your priorities change with time is so good. Don't do things in one season of life that will negatively affect every future season. Not worth it.
15:55 that’s the moment you know Coach Greg is gonna react to it 😭
You can hear and see the heart failure in people on roids, god they all sound out of breath

"Just workout and eat, it's literally that simple" - Love ihat.
It really comes down to working out for health vs. working out for aesthetics. Both can be achieved naturally, the difference is time.
it's that simple FOR SOME people, i responded extremely well to lifting when i was younger, but i saw waaaaaaaaay too many people who didn't respond well to training and i could totally see them getting on steroids just to see SOMETHING happen to their body
@@notimportant3686 I agree that everyone is different, but I also say that everyone needs to find what works for them. I'm 61 and have been working out inconsistently my whole life. Only NOW am I seeing progress because I am being more consistent with minimal workouts and better nutrition. My goal is to be healthy first, the benefit of that is looking great.
I look better now than I ever have. In my younger years I was tempted by steroids because I wasn't willing to put the work into it as much as it required, but never crossed that line. I still think, "Should I? I probably won't live long enough to suffer the side effects, but it could kill me faster".
"Just workout and eat" is great advice to look like Kyriakos Grizzly.
The amount of mental energy needed to spend on food restriction alone is like 90% of bodybuilding.
@@notimportant3686Nah its like that for all people. Were all human beings with potential and limitations. Calories in vs calories out. Move more eat less it really is very simple. Quality of food also matters. Eat better
Don’t be so naive
I’m glad u made this video, this video makes me stop thinking about the possibility of taking SARMS
This man was at my gym and I missed it😂 Great video brother💯
Guy at 7:43 who says he's on gear sounds like he's about to have a heart attack right then and there, but talks about side effect mitigation
Thinks blood tests will somehow magically pick up whether your arterial walls are thickening, enough said.
Bro sounds like Cbum NO CAP 💀
Yeah. Good blood results only mean that at the moment when the blood was taken the things that were tested looked good. It’s neither a guarantee that it will stay like this nor does it show if something else is wrong. And often it’s already too late when people finally realize something is wrong. It’s scary how little informed some people are of the risks they take.
He probably just finished a hard set
That's why he's out of breath
Bro just finished working out
Okay this is too much. He probably could be through a hard set. You guys don’t lift I guess😂 Otherwise how do you go to these conclusions 😂
The documentary-style content hes pumping out lately is so good
Good video. Educational and I’m sharing it with my best friends teenage boy/young man.
this video is sad but happy when people say no never
This is extremely sad. The same as so many young women feeling the need to get BBLs, one of the most dangerous surgeries there is.
7:35 The fact that this guy is nearly breathless and his RELIEF is that his grandparents still have hair. 😄
Just what I was thinking! He can’t even catch a breath, that’s me after running 5 miles.
Excellent video, as far as informativeness!
Temporary gains and life long regrets
shoutout to the 1 guy at 18min who talked about not wanting to cheapen his achievements. Nothing compares to the confidence, discipline, self-respect, and character that's built from putting in the work yourself and not relying on something else to do it for you.
hit the nail on the head 🎯, it's why I've never considered taking steroids, A) because of the potential health issues B) because I'd rather work hard at something and know I earnt it rather than taking the easy route, I would never be satisfied doing that
yeah, if all else fails my pride and stubbornness of wanting to achieve everything myself would never let me touch steroids id rather be less muscular and know I did it myself
I’m almost 42. When I was a teen and my early 20s, steroid use had a massive decline because we finally understood the side effects and risks in the 90s. Now an entire generation is growing up completely removed from that lessons learned and rediscovering these incredibly dangerous drugs without the built in fear and hesitation that people my age have.
These people want to peak in their 20s and die after it’s crazy
What do you think went wrong in your opinion, Mr. Paul?
Personally, I feel social media is partly the blame. Not a lot of "influencers" are using their platform to educate, mostly filled with comparison and the indirect encouragement of the use of steroids
if you dont do it stupid like the 90s generation did everything will be fine...
@@abdul-muhaimendalghusa7855 Personally I feel the "don't ask don't tell" attitude to PEDs most bodybuilders held 10 years ago was better. Being honest about usage just encourages impressionable young people to use them. Honesty is not always the best policy.
that's the reality of life today. we have nothing to look forward to in 20 years from now. may aswell get jacked.
12:09 I thought he said “getting too baked over time” 😂😂😂
To all young folk starting out and considering steroids.
I've just turned 30 and I've been training since my early 20's and I'm so glad I stuck it out as a natural lifter/athlete. I get compliments all the time about the way I look and I feel amazing.
If you're dedicated and start training young enough you can achieve an impressive physique naturally. Also a physique that is a lot more attractive to the majority of people than if you were on steroids. Nothing in life should be a quick fix solution, be patient, stay consistent, listen to your body and consider your long term health.
Love yourself first then enjoy the love from others.
