Thicker in areas and thinner in others. My hair was not laying right due to age. But it was a good thing my hairdresser and I let it get to that stage. She went in with a razor and comb technique. In my multiple attempts at growing my hair out through the years, I've had barbers ignore my instructions and cut my hair shorter than I had intended it to be resulting in me never getting to that desired length as I would almost always follow up with a repair haircut.
Don't go to barbers bro, they are used to giving short haircuts so will always cut more than you tell them too. If you're growing out your hair or are planning to, go to a hair salon instead, the hair stylist there specialize in longer haircuts

@@emersonbarahona7449 I have fine hair, it’s pretty uncontrollable without product. I wet it then dry to about 90% with a towel. A small amount of basic gel or a matt rework paste worked through to add weight then loose styling. The paste is normally saved for occasions as it was really expensive.
@@emersonbarahona7449 apologies for not replying sooner! I've been using a texturing paste that I bought from my barber (was expensive) and if I'm exercising or doing something really casual then supermarket hair gel will do. I'm not quite out of the awkward phase but I feel like I'm close to done.
One thing that I would recommend people to use is hair clips. Like after a head bath, when the hair are damp, style your hair with a wide toothed comb (preferably with a wooden comb) then put on clips on the parts that feel out of hand. After this you can use a hair spray to help it stick. another way is by applying a styling cream/product before putting on the hair clips. Then let it air-dry. Worked out great for me.
Pulling the hair down is such a helpful reference! About chin length for sides, nose length for the top. Now I know my top is perfect, I just gotta grow out the sides (ear length atm)
I've always wanted my hair long but I always quited about 3 months in because how bad it looked to me. Thanks for the info, I think I'll give it a try again.
I always get skin on the sides anyway. I hate the hair on the sides and back of the head. I don't really care for the length it's just having it there irritates me. The top I never touch let that grow forever. I let my sides and back grow for about 4 months after being allowed to grow it again, and I was not a fan, not because it looked bad, but because it was always sweaty and was just something else I had to take care of.
@@DailyDoseofShortsVideos I never got to the point of being able to do that. I’d just keep the sides super short cuz it would look super weird when it got busy. I’ll power thru this time
I've always wanted to grow my hair out, but my mom always complains that it's too long and pressures me into going. My barber never butchered it, but I did request the sides to be shorter. I miss my hair from 2 months ago, even though it's grown since then.
I’ve been growing my hair out now a couple months, I always end up cutting it but I really want to continue until it can lay down without being puffy with too much volume, wetting my hair and styling it with hair oil seems to help a lot , but hopefully more length will keep my thick wavy hair from becoming a big messy fringe and actually start flowing back
@@xXMadanXx the thing that helps is getting thick hair thinned out without losing length so you can comb it back . I use oils and product to really keep it from curling . Mainly making sure I’m getting a haircut And my hair thinned out every 3 weeks
I grew my hair out for two years and went somewhere looking for layers. Explained to them the layers, how I wanted it to look, how I wanted to keep it longer, and showed them a picture. The first time they cut it, turned out decent. So I thought, great, I will go back. I told them to do the same thing the next time and for some reason they decided to do something totally different and cut the sides way too short. I thought I was safe by asking for the same thing but goes to show it's better to be more specific
All the barbers and male stylist in my city suck, i show them picture of haircuts I want, then they always just give me a fade and dont layer my hair. I might just go to a female stylist instead since i know they deal with long hair.
The issue here is specifically they do mens haircuts, because the are barbers not stylists. Most of their clients are dudes looking for that. As you get longer and longer they don't know what to do, because they don't do that. The more you want your hair to do something you have to go to people that work with that. For example if you want a medium skin fade, you're not going to a salon, 1... because they are incapable of doing that. 2. Because they don't do that, most of their clients are women with long hair. Most Barbers clients are men with short hair. You gotta pick the demographic you fit in with more.
my god, you’re an epiphany. my hair has been a disaster all my life and only starting now have I been able to try growing my hair out. I’m trying to get a sort of fluffy wolf cut with a mullet, I have a bit of wavy hair that is on the finer side and I’ve layered my bangs just a bit I feel like I’m at the second stage. I wish i knew better what places to cut or thin out as it grows out and this vid has given me a lot of insight and . I resonate with not going to random barbers or salons and opting to find a specialist who can really work with me. what’s helped me is having proper shower routines n techniques while also drying it and styling afterwards for a while. hopefully I’ll have something akin to the last stage and I hope everyone gets the hairstyle they’re also looking for. it really is a struggle but these informative and quality videos have helped a lot. thats a sub right there!
Currently growing out my hair. It’s been 4 months and honestly it’s been pretty chill. The hardest part is just trying to ignore comments from others during the awkward phase, especially when you don’t have a strong jawline, a masculine face, or a beard to start with. But hey, at least it’s getting wavy. 😂 Let it grow, worry later, work with your barber and they’ll take care of it. Good luck.
On month four of growing my hair out to the flow hairstyle before I had French crop hairstyle , my hair line is alittle weak right now my hair is naturally thin and wavy. Just growing it out and seeing where it takes me 😮💨
Currently at around month six of growing my hair out; it's definitely at an awkward stage 😅 The back of my hair sort of curls towards my ears, but not long enough where it looks purposeful. I just need the sides to grow out more!
My hair is super thick and curly. If I don't use a ton of conditioner and taming cream it goes crazy. I have a big head too so I look like a mad scientist if I don't take care of it.I thought I went through the awkward phase 2 months ago. Nope. It's getting real awkward up there to the point that i'm getting close friends and family telling me I need to get a trim. But every so often if it's laying right I get a ton of compliments. I'm going to power through.

I have fine straight hair. When I used to grow my hair out and when I get to the awkward stage (awkward for me means my hair looks flat and boring) I use sea salt spray on my hair to have like a surfer style and that fixed it for me, it gave my hair a nice texture and appears layered.
im 4 months letting it grow and i have a messy slick back about 4 inches and the sides are still about 1 inch so im j going to keep getting SHAPE UPS!! thats helping me

I was born with naturally curly hair/afro style hair but in my early 20s I had a short hair phase. Now in my late 20s Im letting it grow out while combing it back. It doesnt set right now but since its winter I just keep a beanie on so it doesnt bother me too much.
my hair is super thick, and it doesnt like to flow at all. even if i grow it out super long, it just stays stiff and ends up curling at the ends. ig i just need to actually let it grow all the way, while shaping it with my hands like you mentioned.
I’ve let my hair grow out since late August of last year because I was afraid of getting a haircut. I’ve had many barbers mess up and not give me the haircut I wanted even if I had showed them a picture/video of it. I believe part of the reason why this might happen is due to the fact that I have straight hair. It’s awkward having long, straight hair and looking like a mess. It gave me a middle part and I realized I have a cowlick. If you have straight hair and want to grow it out, make sure to take very good care of it unless you want to feel embarrassed every day.
I've been growing my hair out now bout 8 months of no haircut. I got curls coming in, and it drives me crazy, they got minds of their own and sometimes I think I got Medusa style hair lol. I'm going for long hair like Dracula from the Castlevania anime series.
Show barber a pic of what you want(yes, even if it's an anime) Tell him about your issues regarding your hair (to full of volume, tangling, and visible moon sized forehead) then he'll either do it for you or tell you why and what you can do
For me you are the goat of haircuts !! I am from Mexico and here we got a simple haircut culture, so your videos are the best for my large hair, love you king 👑 !
Just got out of the military where I’ve had the same short haircut pretty much since I was 5 years old, and decided I want long hair. Pretty sure I’m at that stage you mentioned where most people cut it, but I’m sticking it out and relying on baseball caps when in public
Same boat, grew it out for like 3 months, and back to skin on the sides. Can't stand it. Unfortunately the hair on top is getting a little too long so now I have to grow the sides out, unless i want to cut the top.
I feel blessed cause the barber i go to charges £6 to cut my hair and he's an old guy who's been doing it for a while. He knows me and knows that I'm trying to grow my hair out so he helped me maintain the back and sides while the front grew. He taught me the importance of shaping my hair as well and how to understand how the different parts of my hair flow together with my hair type. I've been growing it out for over a year now and my hair has gone from my biggest insecurity to the thing i like most about myself

i have little thick hair and i had a middle part, then my hair started to feel really heavy so i decided to get a trim. I asked my barber to just shape it and thin it out a little but he took his clippers and showed me how bad my hair can look
What i did was undercut until a good length on top then I started growing the sides while keeping the sideburns and neck somewhat controlled Update I got it layered so the sides and top would blend well and I’m gonna keep it growing from this stage. I probably won’t be cutting it for a long time. Maybe 6 months
I am still growing my hair out. It's nearly a year now, was easy too be honest but now I don't know exactly what to do with it and I am scared to go to a barber because usually they destroy everything...
Best tip I can give is having headbands or other stuff to slick it back. Especially if you’re an athletic person. It helps you get past that awkward stage and that constant feeling that your hair is in your face and it’s a mess
I tried growing my hair again for 4 months this year. I have always had short hair, so I was trying to achieve the first look. Tried it twice before only to cut it short again because of awkward stage. Then, I researched for styles, and asked the barber for a layered. It was still short, but it was definitely a good starting point as I have tried it first time, seeing it could work growing out. Then next time I came, a different barber of the same shop cut my hair back to zero. I explained it thoroughly just like how I did when I got a layered cut. Anyways, I started from there again and grew my hair. Just got haircut a month ago, I told the same thing to the barber in this different shop, but I just got trim on side and back done within 10 mins. I guess it's better than back to zero. I'll just go to a salon for next cut
It is way to much for giving just shape to a hair cut or a mid long hair with no shape. I mean dude, really? 150, or 200 bucks, no way. Completely out of touch or reality. In my country i can get that job done for 12 bucks in 20 minutes. Real talk.
i mean yes but theres also value in knowing this guy is gonna do the exact haircut you want there's a skill in that compared to taking a chance on the random $20 hairdressers who could fuck up your hair for the next 3 months there's obviously a market for it as people pay this much
I hope you can make a hairstyle for long hair when the head is square and long, but why does the hair twist when it comes down? I hope you can explain this topic. ❤🙏🏻
The awkward stage has really pushed me to the brink of getting my hair cut, to the point where I once changed my mind _at_ the barber's. Whenever I decide to get it cut, a video like this pops up. I think it's a sign 😅.
@@fredericwessling6886 I ended up getting a haircut just a few weeks back, I live in south east asia and the heat here makes having long hair really uncomfortable..
I'm 33 years old, I've never had a good haircut in my life. I still havent found the hairstyle that i can sport comportably and that doesn't collapse two days after haircut. Im finally at stage 2 hairfall of male pattern baldness, but im growing out my thin, damaged hair, its gets curly if i dint wash but straight and flowy when i wash. I have no idea what im doing.
I've been tring to grow out my hair for years but every time I get it trimmed or shaped I get put off the whole process. For instance my last cut was all point cut and thinning scissors. Now my hair doesn't feel like my hair at all. Its too thin. It should be thick and lush! But now torn between getting it cut back to undo that thinning or whether to just keep growing. The best long hair I had was when I had it crew cut short originally and then just let it grow for 7-8 months. It was awesome then. It felt like my hair!!! Not a styled version of some vague idea of what should be my hair!
Yes. I feel a bit insecure sometimes when it's getting too long and it may look bad. My hair stylist always says the same, she says I can grow it out, but I should trim it down and I feel like she always cuts sooooo much.... I don't really know what to ask for as I am not a stylist, I just tell her I'd like to grow it long but Idk I always leave with lots of progress GONE! I may need to find someone else.
The place I go has a picture book of different cuts I always show them the picture of specific lengths. Maybe showing a picture of how you want it to grow will help
The problem is that it always gets to a decent length and they cut the sides way too short with clippers. Where do you cut hair out of? Do you have your own salon?
I wanted to ask this since I've been trying to grow out my hair again. Again cuz i did grow it out once till the perfect stage but butchered it. I won't say it's exactly the barber's fault but i was more scared of the fact that my hair got severely dry and i started having really bad hairfall. Thankfully I'm all good now and my hair is growing healthy again after a year.
So I wanted to ask if there's any way to make sure your hair stays healthy as it grows out. I try to shampoo once a week and use a hairmask and conditioner whenever I do that. Aside from that my hair is quite well now and not at all dry.
I'm going for the "hockey flow" kind of look, similar to the 3rd mannequin you showed in this video. I started growing my hair out from a skin fade on the sides, and a bit longer on the top, this was in October of 2023. I'm coming up on about 6 months of growing my hair out and I'd say the awkward phase for me was from months 2-5. It just recently started to have enough length where I can slick it back and it holds it shape, as well as being able to tuck the sides behind my ears. I tried a lot of different products and my current go to is the medium hold matte pomade from your shop. It gives my hair a natural look, doesn't look shiny like with some other pomades, and it lasts forever. Using a tooth comb too has made my hair look a bit better as well. I have yet to go to a stylist to get it properly layered and shaped, however in about 2 months when I have the desired length I want, that will be my next step. Thanks for the video man!
ANy time I tried to grow my hair, I just gave up after some time because I didn't know how to handle the sides. I usually use hair dryer or hair iron to straighten my front hair, but I cannot do the same with the sides. Also my hair is too dense, which makes it really difficult for me to shape my hair when it gets long and dense on the sides...
I wanted a trim cut, been growing for about 7 months. Asked for a small maintenance snip off the sides and my back. The next thing i knew he took off my whole sides and gave an undercut. Really really gutted now i basically have to regrow my hair
honestly i wish this covers if you goʻt curly hair and I had a buzz cut into i was 13 and then i decided to grow it out and I found out I have some nice curly hair and I had grown it out for 9 months before just cutting the sides and back and now 6 months after that i feel like my hair looks good
0:35 Im kinda at that weird stage. the hair on the sides and neck grow faster so now it feels longer than the hair on top just have to get through a couple of months and it'll still feel weird
8:15 Yeah couple times. One time buzzed it for summer and the barber lined it up. One time a barber like completely buzzed half my top length for a "combover" aka didnt want to blend the sides. Then another time where the stylist just didnt blend the length into the sides right or too high. Its really touchy stuff but its your hair youre paying them
I am 5 months post short pixie cut. The easiest way for me to grow out my hair is to keep cutting the back until hair is all one length, then just let it grow.
Thank you for making this video. I was about to chop my hair off because I am in the beginning of the awkward stage and I was thinking that was the right thing to do. I want to grow it out. I have that Timothee Chalamet wave (which I see you also have another video about). If I want to tame my hair a bit, what products should I be using? I get mad frizzy in the Louisiana humidity.
That's why I don't trust any local barbers in my area because I'm scared they might give me a low taper fade instead of just simply TRIMMING MY HAIR. I just go to a salon instead.
I am trying to let it grow for the first time. is been more than half a year and it was butchered from the start from a bad haircut so my advise is, if you are self conscious use a hat or a bandana and learn to love it and two do not listen to people making silly comments (I’m Latino my hair is thick, dry and curly to Afro to the point I had to use a keratine type of product to help me in the early stage and control the sides and back) so yes is gonna look weird, yes it will feel weird, get in your face while you sleep, you will feel lost a lot of products styles and many more things but it can be done now I’m finally ready to stop the keratin and let my curly hair to have its own life it was worth it I hate short hair
i tried to grow out my hair. it reached a stage where my middle part was seen and hair was seperated on both the sides. it looked very akward so i got a hair cut.
If your looking for a wolf cut get a mullet just the sides when you have 4 inches of hair then let it grow remember donot cut hair on your crown area and your back
I'm planning on growing my hair out long for the first time ever. I went from shorter sides/back to longer on top, but I think I can find something better. What should I do, it's been about 2 months since that haircut. My hair now almost goes in front of my eyes. 100% straight and fine hair (not thinning). At least at this length anyway..
same hair type as me, im planning to grow mine out this year too. Im going to keep the sides tapered and tidy until my top hair gets a bit longer i think.
This is my haircut a month ago: Top/Front: Buzzcut Top/Front: Size 8 guard clippers Side section: Mid burst fade Upper side ( Left/right ): Size 4 guard Cliffers. Lower side ( Left/Right ): 0 Back section: Mid taper fade Back section (upper): size 5 guard Back section (Lower side): 1 Nape finishes: Round Is this a good start?
Dude it's not that serious. If you want to grow it, grow it. If you don't want to, keep it short. It's not a science. I always get skin on the side and never touch the top. The top is past my eyes, and the sides are skin. You can make anything look good if you put in a little bit of effort.
I grew my hair out for almost two years and it was at my shoulders I finally went to a proper salon and paid $80 not as expensive as you mentioned but that was the most I have ever paid for a cut before. Well she completely butchered my hair she cut it shorter than I asked and she didn't even layer it right. I was so pissed because I felt like I wasted two years growing it. I told her to just give me a fade then, She messed that up too. I didn't notice because I was mad and the next day a coworker pointed it out a very distant line where the fade should have been. She has certificates so I thought I could trust her. I want to try an grow my hair again. the option I went with after she messed up the first one was a slick back with a taper fade. the dam top didn't even blend in when pushing it back.
I think the awkward pahase was the most exciting phase tbh now it's below my chest and don"t get me wrong, I love my hair. but it kinda got... boring? it's always perfect. but in the awkward phase it was always slightly different, it didn't always did what I wanted it to do. but yeah that's kinda exciting. I've been contemplating if I wanna cut it short again, just to go through the awkward phase again.
the last time i had a hair massacre was 2 days ago and now im planning to grow it out for a wolf cut but because i got messed up so hard it will take probably about 1 year to grow it (and if you wanna grow out your hair then the moment you can brush it back to get your hair off your forehead do it).
I clean shaved my head 17 months ago and since haven't got a single haircut or touched it other than combing it to make it not tangle. I haven't really even though about it and that I may look like a goblin like this. I wonder what a professional hairdresser would think of my current hairstyle xd

@@emersonbarahona7449water
Got my hair cut to that 2nd stage in mid January from a $20 cut, now I have exactly that 3rd stage style

Bro I just clicked thinkin oh let's see tat timestamp, never in my life I've laughed+feared
sooo true!!!
I've been growing my hair out for almost a year now but barbers keep ruining it!
The awkward stage is what gets everyone you just gotta push though and it’ll look good
I always get skin on the sides anyway.
The worst part for me has been the sideburns looking so goddamn weird and bushy...
@@Morphzz you don’t put them behind your ear?
@@DailyDoseofShortsVideos I never got to the point of being able to do that. I’d just keep the sides super short cuz it would look super weird when it got busy.
I’ll power thru this time
I've always wanted to grow my hair out, but my mom always complains that it's too long and pressures me into going. My barber never butchered it, but I did request the sides to be shorter. I miss my hair from 2 months ago, even though it's grown since then.
This just happened to me. Next time I'm not letting it happen! YOU WILL NEVER CUT MY HAIR!!!!
I really wanna grow my hair, but I can't because of school 😑
I’ve been growing my hair out now a couple months, I always end up cutting it but I really want to continue until it can lay down without being puffy with too much volume, wetting my hair and styling it with hair oil seems to help a lot , but hopefully more length will keep my thick wavy hair from becoming a big messy fringe and actually start flowing back
Hello my brother, how was your progress? It sounds like I have the exact same hair type you, thick and wavy. Any advice?
Yes I have had a situation like that and I did not go to a haircut for 10 months
This is the best thing to do after getting your hair butchered countless of times by sh**ty barbers

Nahh, that cracked me up🤣🤣
Bro it was a jumpscare 😂😂
All the barbers and male stylist in my city suck, i show them picture of haircuts I want, then they always just give me a fade and dont layer my hair. I might just go to a female stylist instead since i know they deal with long hair.
Yes that’s best
The issue here is specifically they do mens haircuts, because the are barbers not stylists. Most of their clients are dudes looking for that. As you get longer and longer they don't know what to do, because they don't do that. The more you want your hair to do something you have to go to people that work with that. For example if you want a medium skin fade, you're not going to a salon, 1... because they are incapable of doing that. 2. Because they don't do that, most of their clients are women with long hair. Most Barbers clients are men with short hair. You gotta pick the demographic you fit in with more.
I test a place by insisting my cut be a scissor cut when I make the appointment. I also try to get the more experienced people to cut my hair.
@@mattevans1643

I can say its been 3 times of me cutting my hair exactly at that awkward stage...been like 2 years now...and I'm going at growing hair again 🙂
You got this!
my god, you’re an epiphany. my hair has been a disaster all my life and only starting now have I been able to try growing my hair out.
Let it grow, worry later, work with your barber and they’ll take care of it. Good luck.
As a person with chemical burns long hairs are only thing which keep me motivated.
Thanks for this❤
On month four of growing my hair out to the flow hairstyle before I had French crop hairstyle , my hair line is alittle weak right now my hair is naturally thin and wavy. Just growing it out and seeing where it takes me 😮💨
Currently at around month six of growing my hair out; it's definitely at an awkward stage 😅
The back of my hair sort of curls towards my ears, but not long enough where it looks purposeful. I just need the sides to grow out more!
Lmao same man. I'm about month 5 right now of growing them and the back (and behind the ears) feels so akward. Keep pushing!
Hi I grew my hair for 1 year n 4 months I'm still growing I had some awkward times that I wanted to cut it but I use Indian hemp products n it help a lot it's good n kept my hair lookin great it's a hair treatment n to make it grow it's sold at Walmart n very cheap

I have fine straight hair. When I used to grow my hair out and when I get to the awkward stage (awkward for me means my hair looks flat and boring) I use sea salt spray on my hair to have like a surfer style and that fixed it for me, it gave my hair a nice texture and appears layered.
Not in this south east asian summers, I'd definitely try this from August onwards
From the weekly military 5$ cut growing up im now learning to have long hair
Not me, still get skin on the sides, even in the military I never touched the top until it was too long.
my trick is to just not care about it and boom year gone by now the hair is down my shoulders
im 4 months letting it grow and i have a messy slick back about 4 inches and the sides are still about 1 inch so im j going to keep getting SHAPE UPS!! thats helping me
I'm glad I stayed till the end of the video, this guy knows what he's talking.
Thx so much
Growing my hair since the last 5 months, just had 1 maintainance cut during this time which set my hair out in the right growth pattern, he is right just let the hair grow out don't cut often and tell your barber you are trying to grow out your hair
I was born with naturally curly hair/afro style hair but in my early 20s I had a short hair phase. Now in my late 20s Im letting it grow out while combing it back. It doesnt set right now but since its winter I just keep a beanie on so it doesnt bother me too much.
I have problems when my hair grow out. Funny listening to a bold guy tho. I’ll try it out
my hair is super thick, and it doesnt like to flow at all. even if i grow it out super long, it just stays stiff and ends up curling at the ends. ig i just need to actually let it grow all the way, while shaping it with my hands like you mentioned.
Yes and you need the right haircut to grow it out.
I don’t know how women do it 💀
Sleeping with them sucks too
Show barber a pic of what you want(yes, even if it's an anime) Tell him about your issues regarding your hair (to full of volume, tangling, and visible moon sized forehead) then he'll either do it for you or tell you why and what you can do
For me you are the goat of haircuts !!
Thx for your service? MOS?

What i did was undercut until a good length on top then I started growing the sides while keeping the sideburns and neck somewhat controlled
Update I got it layered so the sides and top would blend well and I’m gonna keep it growing from this stage.
7:38 Bloody hell, that is a LOT 😅 Fair enough though.
Not fair enough at all, that’s outrageous for a haircut lol
Fr what the hell 200 dollars is wild no way
It is way to much for giving just shape to a hair cut or a mid long hair with no shape.
I mean dude, really? 150, or 200 bucks, no way. Completely out of touch or reality. In my country i can get that job done for 12 bucks in 20 minutes. Real talk.
This is an insane amount of money and it’s completely ridiculous to spend this much on a simple haircut.
i mean yes but theres also value in knowing this guy is gonna do the exact haircut you want
there's a skill in that compared to taking a chance on the random $20 hairdressers who could fuck up your hair for the next 3 months
there's obviously a market for it as people pay this much
summer is the worst season for long hairs. i always think about cutting it all off when the temp's hit 90-100
May- Sept buzz cut undercut. Rest of the year scissor cut and let it flow
The whole reason I have undercut is I want the long but not the shaggy look around the neck.
Do u have a taper or fade?
I personally have a taper fade and left the top of my hair long so it looks clean if I pick it up, instead of shaggy and crazy.
@@XanVicious ye I also got a taper so I have barely a full head with fresh taper

How is going right now I'm in awkward phase i know it's just 2week but still how it's going
The awkward stage has really pushed me to the brink of getting my hair cut, to the point where I once changed my mind _at_ the barber's. Whenever I decide to get it cut, a video like this pops up. I think it's a sign 😅.

I have watched 1000s of videos. But this one was the most useful one . Thanks
Aside from that my hair is quite well now and not at all dry.
most helpful hair video ever
So glad!
For me growing it our helped to keep the sideburns kinda short, also i like to trim it so that the hairs dont come on top of my ear
5 month awkward stage?!
@@Moomakk-nb1oc No no, between months 2 and 5 of growing my hair out was when it was a bit awkward, so a 2 month awkward stage haha.

Really really gutted now i basically have to regrow my hair
honestly i wish this covers if you goʻt curly hair and I had a buzz cut into i was 13 and then i decided to grow it out and I found out I have some nice curly hair and I had grown it out for 9 months before just cutting the sides and back and now 6 months after that i feel like my hair looks good
That's awesome! That's a long journey
Perfect timing, haven't had a hair cut in 11 months. Getting frustrated, what to do?

0:35 Im kinda at that weird stage. the hair on the sides and neck grow faster so now it feels longer than the hair on top just have to get through a couple of months and it'll still feel weird
8:15 Yeah couple times. One time buzzed it for summer and the barber lined it up. One time a barber like completely buzzed half my top length for a "combover" aka didnt want to blend the sides. Then another time where the stylist just didnt blend the length into the sides right or too high. Its really touchy stuff but its your hair youre paying them
Thankyou so much sir ❤ it helped a lot

I am 5 months post short pixie cut. The easiest way for me to grow out my hair is to keep cutting the back until hair is all one length, then just let it grow.
Thank you for making this video. I was about to chop my hair off because I am in the beginning of the awkward stage and I was thinking that was the right thing to do. I want to grow it out. I have that Timothee Chalamet wave (which I see you also have another video about). If I want to tame my hair a bit, what products should I be using? I get mad frizzy in the Louisiana humidity.
My crafted matte pomade and sleek
If your looking for a wolf cut get a mullet just the sides when you have 4 inches of hair then let it grow remember donot cut hair on your crown area and your back
I just got an undercut. It’s 3/8 around but long on top and I hope it grows out alright
A salon butchered my hair because i asked to make a flowy or a mid part style. They just straight up no.1 using the clippers and hacked my sides.
I almost always explicitly tell them to use scissors because I find most men’s places default to clippers
Definately no fun going in with an uncertain idea and then leaving unconfident in your hairstyle.
Any tips for choosing between barber or hairdresser?
I find that mentioning you want a scissor cut or minimum use of clippers is a good test.

I love your videos but I also like how shiny your head looks 😂 keep up the good work 🎉🎉
