Having a father isn’t a guarantee to help with this issue. Unless you end up with a well groomed father who just so happens to have a beard and shapes it properly AND has the time and patience to explain it to you, chances are most of us didn’t get this advice.

Sounds like you don't have a problem with the actual growing of the beard I used to shave perfectly good but unmaintained beards off all the time because I was trying to do this with ordinary Wahl beard trimmers you can find at "shaver shop" the gold one's in the video is the key to his shave they are " Babyliss" zero gap trimmers they have a Ferrari motor are very well designed and will cost about $250.00 if you shop online you won't find theses available at retail stores only barber supply stores after shaving with one of these you just won't go back to anything else it feels like a professional shave with a straight razor also before you spend money and make a decision I highly recommend going to the Barber and getting your first pro beard trim the lines will be visible for many touch ups with even a cheap disposable razor also you can look cool to all the weak men there for the haircut you will like it and never shave again I bet .

I am on this phase for my beard this video helped my beard look more clean. I can't wait until I am on the mountain man phase. I have let my beard grow out for over a month and it looked terrible. I’ve had a beard for years. I’ve had it short and I’ve had it to over 16 inches long, and everywhere in between. Your ability to eye your lines and edge so symmetrically is rediculously skillful. I put off my trims because it’s always a battle.
Ingrown hair trick. Throughly wash wherever you shaved with HOT water, then immediately put cold water on the area, dry, then apply your choice of after shave/lotion.
By the time I could get facial hair worth even trying for a beard, I had been out of the house for a couple years, so it's not like there was really a chance to teach me😂

Lay a large hand towel in the sink, lightly spray water on it, then shave directly over it. Bag it up like a hobo's backpack when done, wet the bottom and wipe what rest you can up. Shake it off (well) outside or into the trash. Put towel in laundry bin. Return to sink for 1 minute clean up.

I did a good job trimming as you suggested but I wish I would've seen this first. Guess who's going to buy a trimmer. I used a regular clippers

Man, you weren´t kidding when you said the top line of the beard could get tricky. I had to shave the beard off after I got one line perfect and a the other side like 2-3 cm below. Still, this was very helpful, thank you.
Every technique that was used by you I do the same thing already. With one exception which I find is the hardest to do or easiest to mess up...The upper cheek line up! That sh#$t really works where you pull up on each side of your cheek and line it up! Thanks for that tip my beard game is on point!

it's easy, just look up and imagine a line connecting the corners of your jawbone.

Try using a business card or a licence to get the neck line straight, works for me :)

Man, you weren´t kidding when you said the top line of the beard could get tricky. I had to shave the beard off after I got one line perfect and a the other side like 2-3 cm below. Still, this was very helpful, thank you.
I think this is the best facial hair look for him. It shows off that chiseled jawline, and looks like a beard at the same time.

Every technique that was used by you I do the same thing already. With one exception which I find is the hardest to do or easiest to mess up...The upper cheek line up! That sh#$t really works where you pull up on each side of your cheek and line it up! Thanks for that tip my beard game is on point!
thanks to this guide I managed to do mine. the results are not the best but not the worst, since I got a curly ish beard it looks okay after these steps. think I can keep my beard a little bit more
