I am from India, and my aunts tell me this story from the mid 80's when one of my Uncles, brought over a VHS tape, without a cover. He was trying to learn English by watching Hollywood Films. One afternoon he came back with a VHS tape without any cover and title 'College Girls'. He called my two aunts (19 and 22 at that time) and proudly proclaimed, "Sisters, I have this movie that is about college girls, just like you.". The whole family gathered to watch it. The tape was played and promptly destroyed within 10 minutes of its viewing.
I dont know why this trailer reminded me of that story.

It doesn't matter what movie A24 makes, personally, none of your movies have disappointed me. I haven't seen all of them, but the ones I have seen have always been original, imaginative, some disturbing and unpleasant, but they have never, ever disappointed me.

Theres a Swedish series on Netflix called Love & Anarchy that tackled this idea already. While it's not exactly the same, i.e.: The young man and boss dare each other to do more and more drastic things until it's a full-blown affair, the concept is the near identical.

The director said she cast Banderos intentionally. Because it's not about Kidman's character cheating because her husband isn't attractive. It's because she has completely different urges and desires than he's able to fulfil. If he was less attractive of an actor, people would just think she ditched him on the basis of looks.
