Love your videos! I'm wearing my very first beard at 53 and it's beautiful. You need a re-grow playlist to make the progress easier to find on your channel.
I like to keep a short beard, basically one level above 5 o’clock shadow, which is harder to maintain. However nobody has ever taught me anything above shaving so I’m glad I finally thought to look it up on RUclips since I grow hair wayyyy down low on my neck and it kills my jaw like
I’ve been using the Andis Slimline Pro T-Blade trimmers for over a year now and they are amazing for lining up your beard! They also work great for your neck hair and around ears into your sideburns/ beard as well.
Funny how the neckline has also been something that I've had to work on, then one day I just kind of got it. Looking forward to more of these videos as there's always room to learn and improve!
RESPECT! I just started watching this channel a week or two ago, I love it! Just saw this video today and dang! With such an awesome beard, I know it had to have been hard to shave such a solid beard, that took a long time to grow. The fact that you did, to show us viewers from start to finish, is huge respect in my book! I love it!
sometimes a little time and patience is all you need! Trimming your own beard can definitely be a little daunting, but with the right guidance it's actually quite easy!
My nephew is starting a beard. I asked if he had watched any videos on RUclips on how to do it right and he laughed saying "no instructions needed to grow a beard" I told him to just look up live bearded and he will see how to properly grow and beard and maintain it looking nice.
Big thank you for this, i'm growing out my beard and everywhere i hear the same ; don't trim before the 4-week mark!" But my beard is growing very fast, cut myself clean April 8th, now, two weeks later, it's already growing thick everywhere and also below my adams apple, it's not the first time i'm growing it but i always outlined it around the 1.5-2 week mark because that's how fast my beard grows, always thought i was in the wrong for lining it so fast.
Not at all bro, you just need the right tactics and the right tools! Personally, I don't trim anything until the 3-5 month mark, I prefer a very large beard before I shape anything, haha
This was definitely very helpful. My beard grows very long on my neck area the most, personally I keep it for as long as I can to give my beard a fuller look.
I am the same way, brother! My neck area grows in longer and thicker than the hair on my cheeks. Glad this video helped! We are always here to support you however I can.
I don't do a neckline anymore, because my beard is very long. But when I did, a better way to trim that neckline (in my opinion and in my experience) is to give yourself a double-chin by pulling your chin into your neck. Where you see the line from the double-chin where the bottom skin of the double-chin ends, that's your line. It's more precise that way, as opposed to sort of guessing like in this video. If you have a natural double-chin, because you are fat, then you're all set.
@@benjamindavis4974 Unfortunately, you're wrong on this. The "double-chin" technique works like a charm. There's no guess work involved. You easily see the line where the double-chin ends, and that's where you put the shaving cream and shave. Easy-peasy.
@@benjamindavis4974 Hey, at the end of the day, if that's what you like, then that's really all that counts. I mean, truthfully, there's no real right way. There are no legal documents on any of this. 😀

Great tip brother! Those old-school foil blade razors sound like a game-changer for keeping that beard line sharp with minimal effort. Thanks for sharing! 🙌
I get 5 o'clock shadow at 9am, so my scruff looks disheveled in one day and some guys need to make clean lines even with a shadow to prevent from looking sloppy.
Typically when you leave your neckline low it makes the beard look fuller. That is why we recommend trimming about a fingers length above the adams apple. Of course, if you rock a shorter beard that is not always doable.
Shaving with a razor is amazing especially once your face gets used to it, I’ve never had a clearer more healthier smoother skin than when I was saving every other day in the summer

Hey bro! Yes sir, it absolutely is. Same as with head hair, the average person loses roughly 80-100 hairs per day from their head - the beard is no different. Shedding is totally normal!
Say just due to shaving you accidently brought your cheekline down to low, in that case should you just let your cheekline grow back naturally, or just shave it off and start over again? I have a 2 month + beard, and I really dont wanna start over, but I also wanna look good as well.
Definitely just let it grow back! Shaving it all off will take much more time, letting the cheek line fill back in will only take about a week or 2, then you won't notice it at all!

Great instructional video! This is the exact kind of video and information I was looking for
We're always here to support you brother, so glad you liked it!
Hi man every morning i brush my Beard i see some beard hair falls out it's normal or not 😢😢
Hey bro! Yes sir, it absolutely is. Same as with head hair, the average person loses roughly 80-100 hairs per day from their head - the beard is no different. Shedding is totally normal!
@@livebearded no matter about it sir right 👍 thanks bro alot
Can you make a video about the beard styling tool , and how to use it
Oh my boy, you talking about Beard? You haven't got any, are you?
God bless you boy, you made me laugh.🤣🤣🤣
Say just due to shaving you accidently brought your cheekline down to low, in that case should you just let your cheekline grow back naturally, or just shave it off and start over again?
I have a 2 month + beard, and I really dont wanna start over, but I also wanna look good as well.
Definitely just let it grow back! Shaving it all off will take much more time, letting the cheek line fill back in will only take about a week or 2, then you won't notice it at all!
I bought a 60e trimmer and it is horrible. Keeps getting caught. Even left me with a patch. Received my first shavette today! Looking to get a SR in the near future! Nice vid!
Finding the right trimmer can definitely be a pain bro! Check our LB MT-1 Trimmer, it's top-notch!

Man, I wish I would have seen this. I just shaved my hole beard off lfrom trying to line top off now I'm gunna grow it back and do what you said leave natural line
Self trimming can definitely be a bit daunting, that's for sure!
My beard was about 3 or 4 inches long but I didn't like the way it grew and felt so last night I trimmed it very low to grow it back and man, I look like a baby now lol It's been a while since I had so little facial hair on my face
Hey bro, every once in a while a little restart can be a good thing! I usually do that at least once a year!
One of the best video I had ever watched. "Just keep it simple always that's the underlying principle!" I will recommend this video to those who comes up with same problem.
Thanks a lot! Keeping it simple is the key, glad you found the video helpful. Feel free to share it with anyone facing similar beard care challenges! 😎
5/14/23 🇯🇲 Good morning I'm a mom of 2 boys & this has been the most to the point CLEAR to understand & very helpful. I know repeating these steps over time I will get..... let's go for Nice or Good job Mom 😊. So here's to never giving up & the test dummies who let's us hack their hair 🥂
Absolutely, glad we could help!
I have two finger neck line point above the atoms apple. Is that good?
Hey bro! I'd say anywhere from 1-2 finger depth is what you're looking for!
@@livebearded thanks a lot. 👍
Williams Jeffrey Rodriguez Helen Martinez Richard
so how do you look like Ben Aflek from the side?
Genetics I suppose 😂
I've been trimming my beard like that for over 50 years now. And you're absolutely right! If you get the lines "right" in the early stages of growing, it'll make your beard grow in very nicely! And it doesn't matter what kind of "look" you're wanting, scruffy, neat, full, go tee, handlebar mustache, or whatever, get those lines right in the early stages and it'll grow in and look great!
Absolutely my man, we couldn't agree more!
Maybe I will get it right the 2nd time😁
self trimming is all about trial and error my man!
2:01 this was helpful for me
glad we could help brother, we're always here to support you however we can!
what if my cheekhair doesnt grow as high as the mustache? i naturally have a very low line, if at all on top very patchy . any recommendations?
We feel you man, A solid beard growth regimen (Dermarolling + growth serum) might help with the patchiness and raise your line! 🤝
