i have fine and thin hair. i also have thinning hair on the crown of my head so you can imagine what a nightmare it is to maintain it day after day. i cant use shampoo cuz it dries my hair out and i get terrible breakage
Now I don't know how bad your thinning is at this stage, but if it's quite thinned and you need to do lots of work to maintain your hair for it to look good, I would sincerely suggest shaving your head. You will feel free in a way you haven't before, trust me. I know guys hate hearing this, but a) it looks good, 2) TOTAL freedom.
A while ago I used to have very thick long hair, and out of nowhere it rapidly started getting thinner and thinner until I had to buzz cut it. Mind you the individual hair strands are not an issue (they are actually pretty thick)I just suddenly have very little hair in general. I wasn’t treating my hair very well, I used shampoo and conditioner too often and improperly, I overbrushed etc. but now I’m wondering how to get my hair back/fix it. I have never heard of this happening to anyone before.
Go to a dermatologist. Might be telogen efluvium if your entire scalp is shedding hair and each and every single hair is still as thick as ever. But if you are thinning on top of your head only, it could be male pattern baldness, but in the diffuse pattern alopecia style. Thats the boat I'm in. Thankfully it's pretty slow, so I can still rock any short and several longer styles. If it isn't pattern baldness, telogen efluvium is thankfully temporary. Talk to a doctor brother

@@victorslente2038 I use sea salt spray and a heat protectant as a prestyler I then blow dry my hair. While I do that I tilt my hair to the left and then to the right. Try to leave your hair as natural hanging as possible. If I try to add volume by lifting it up it looks unbalanced because to roots have volume but the rest hangs flat. I then use got2b Matt-paste as a post styler but don’t use to much it won’t look good. I basically try to let my hair as natural as possible without trying to add much volume.

But parting it down the middle it's obviously not as dense as its only half the hair on either side. I think medium long hair down to the jaw looks really cool. Yes I have fine and thin hair and it looks like I have parts on my head with no hair when it wet or less with overhead lighting but still. When washed and dried it looks fuller cus it’s fluffed and clean and not weighted down.

@@Pandaboy-hp6zx still have yet to try thickening moose. However, I shampoo once maybe twice a week and dry shampoo really does the trick for me. I use a dry shampoo spray and find it gives me a nice hold, and thickens my hair taking off that greasy appearance. Give a try!

Reason there’s volume is because there’s no product and it’s thick in density. It’s possible for fine hair to have volume.

My hair is thin on the sides but it's long everywhere else. If I put in a dutch braid you cant even notice tho. So yeah it's normal.

Hey Trav, im 21 & I've been growing out my hair for almost 2 years. But everybody around me is telling me that my hair has become really 'weak' and very thin. My hair is also falling out way faster than when I had short hair. I'm thinking of cutting it all back like hair I had in the past. 1st time growing it out btw. Your thoughts?
Could be lots of reasons. Maybe damage, maybe thinning, is your hairline receding? I’d have to know what your hair regimen is to be able to answer
I have the same problem, may hair line is sorta receding but it’s moreso a thinning problem up top

I'm mostly here because I'm trying to get my hair long but I have needlepoint fine hair I know I don't have thin hair because I'm only 18 and I don't have anything in my genes I would make it thin but trying to take care of how fine it is is quite annoying
