The ‘root’ of my hair thinning was stress.
Once I started developing a better sleep schedule and a calmer life not only did my hair get thicker again but I stopped having concentration issues too.
how do you reduce stress?
How to develop a better sleep schedule?
@@brokenbutterfly3178sleep earlier lol

How long did it take to regrow your hair?🙏🏻
That’s wonderful , my issue is that I suffer from Insomnia , and nothing is helping me sleep . I tried herbs , cut down on Carbs , table sugar , and I’m eating better ans exercising …still no sleep 😞
Hair started growing back when I stopped drinking heavily, slept more, eat normal food instead of snacks, went outside, walked, got fresh air
This man literally changed my life. Your information sir has drastically improved my health. You are a saint, may God bless you for sharing so freely and honestly.
For me, everything started with a stressful workplace, I can confirm it is a big contributor to hair thinning and hair loss. Also stressful life comes with self-neglect, less healthy food less vitamins, less sun... Thank you for this great and useful summary
*sweats profusely*
Did you ever get it to grow back? If so how?
It's the little things that add up, if it's 10% of your day but thats every single day then thats a huge problem, the reverse is also true months and months of relaxing is restorative the body replaces all its parts each year a consistent constructive relaxation 10% per day grows and builds as well.
Same here. My hair was lovely and thick and then I was going through a break up and it just started falling out and thinning terribly. Stress has definitely definitely been the issue 4 my hair problem x
@@XxlilqhostxXTo be honest I changed workplace. Went to a therapist. Slept more. And started to change diet according to Dr Berg’s advices. I cut gluten, and (lactose-free) milk, these helped a lot. Which is not mentioned here, I think, I use MCT oil-rosemary combo on my scalp so my scalp is healthy now. I apply a home made fermented milk-egg mask 1x\2weeks on my scalp. Also I use a shampoo that is ok to use for people with eczema. I don’t have eczema, but have a sensitive THIN skin. And after shampooing I use an apple vinegar rinse on my scalp because of pH, so my scalp can defend itself more against fungi and bacteria. My hair and scalp are much more healthier, and during the healing process I noticed a lot of baby hair first which are long now and didn’t fall out. These helped a lot, but the real change was ditching my old boss. Take care of your mental health, it is your everything….
I am amazed by the genuity and non-biaseness in all your health advices. You are defintely leaving a sustainable and reliable legacy behind. Keep up the good work Dr . Berg. Big thanks!

Doctor Berg thank you so much for your important advice related our hair. You are the best.
Love the way you describe health issues and how everything is connected and has effects certain conditions.
I want to thank you for this video. I recently was discovered to have extremely low hemoglobin levels (under 6 where norms are about 15). I had been complaining to my doctor that my once beautiful thick hairs were now extremely thin and fragile so that they kept breaking and my hair was falling out so much that I wondered why I wasn't bald. My doctor said it was old age (I'm only 70). She said my weakness was because I wasn't exercising (which I couldn't because I was too weak) Had she done even looked at my hemoglobin levels, I wouldn't have needed an emergency trip to the hospital for a transfusion. I wouldn't have developed Afib, heart disease, extreme shortness of breath, and weakness that sent me to bed for about 20 hours a day. My primary care physician never even looked at my hemoglobin levels, though they were part of the regular blood work. It was only when I went to a cardiologist and he saw that I was in an emergency situation that I was able to fix the underlying problem and begin to raise my hemoglobin levels. I was stunned when almost immediately, my hair stopped breaking and falling off. It was pure white. Now it seems to be turning dark. I had slow but steady blood loss through my stools, but I hadn't recognized it as bloody stools. It had gone on for so long that it looked normal.
Moral of the story -- if you don't trust your doctor, change doctors. Some are incompetent. Remember, half of all doctors graduated at the bottom half of their class.
I look forward to seeing your shampoo and conditioner for sale
My own experience many if not most doctors at least in USA are borderline incompetent. Thats why you must take charge of your own health and one place to start is reviewing your own blood work. Covid has only made the situation worse, providers overworked and stressed.
Under 6 with no intervention?! Geez! Hit 7 in the hospital, and we transfuse! Sometimes we don’t even wait for it to drop to 7.
How did you fix the underlying problem and raise your hemoglobin levels as you mentioned, if I may ask?
Half of what doctors learn in college is wrong. So even the top half of the class only learned half of the correct stuff.🤦♀️
Sushmita: Hi Gail Im so sure your story resonates with many others including me esp. touching on the "undergraduate doctors' who makes you feel as though you are just a number eg. 15mins per visit of no value and writing out prescriptions just to make patients 'feel good' . . . try this / try that etc. difficult to make that change sometimes!
An honest doc. Golden heart, to share so openly and honestly

Very true regarding the good doctor and I for one am extremely grateful for all he does. Yes, it had to be Don the Con Dump that caused my thin hair. LOL I m 81, and have been going to two Drs. neither helped me. I went to hospital and requested the blood test myself because I have been taking iron for over a year Could hardly get out of bed. Last spring, took the 1st Moderma shot. It nearly killed me. I'm POCS, and it stopped my muscles from working and attacked my body, stayed in bed three months screaming in pain. Could not sleep, because I would roll on my arm and wake up, could not open a door or lock cells my seat belt. Took anabiotics and got a litter better. Was given two bottles of Cipro when I was 75, and it is suppose to change your dna and believe it is true. In my blood test my red blood cells were way above normal and white cells way below normal. Ugh!
@@jeanreynolds1425 Cipro is bad news. I was prescribed Cipro several years ago and when I said no way - my then Dr couldn't understand why. It has some serious side effects and is now known not to be so "super" as once thought. From WEbMD: Quinolone antibiotics (including ciprofloxacin) may cause serious and possibly permanent tendon damage (such as tendonitis, tendon rupture), nerve problems ...

Another articulate, soothingly unbiased homeopathic approached explanation by doctor Berg. Thank you!🌞🌞
My hair became in much better condition when I switched to washing my hair 2x week vs every day. Also, avoid box dyes, and get professional colors or just use a gloss product that won't damage your hair.
This may sound strange, but I noticed a significant difference in texture (thick to thin) ever since I got a water softening system. Something that is supposedly better for hair has really done a number on mine. I shed more than usual, my scalp itches, it’s lifeless and flat and seems to feel dirty much quicker. I literally have to shampoo every day because of the soft water. So frustrating when something so good and recommended does the opposite of what you were expecting 🙁
I just did one quick google search to see if I could maybe figure out the issue and turns out water softeners remove other minerals from your water aside from calcium and magnesium, including iron, which is the first tip Dr. Berg offers us, so that could be part of what's harming your hair. You should also try and remember if you changed anything in your routine or adopted different habits at around the same time this started happening, you may have put all your attention on the water softener and turned away from what could actually be the bigger problem, but that's just my advice, best of luck to you.
@@Mucnicc wow, I really want to thank you for the suggestions and taking the time out to answer and give me some possible solutions. I really appreciate it and will definitely look into it. Always love learning from you. Thank you
I see so many men in their 20s losing their hair, going bald so early. I can't help but to link it to the rise in GMO food from the early 1990s. My Dad had full, thick hair his entire life. He grew up eating real food. Thankfully, we also grew up eating real food from hunting, fishing, foraging, growing and raising. My brother has full, thick hair without thinning and he is in his late 40s. Another observation - my sisters and I never had extreme development like I saw in many of my friends. Health is really all about what you put into your body. The fluoride water, when it came to our little town, really messed up our teeth. We went from no dental issues to cavities within a couple years. Of course, dentists disagree, but I experienced it first hand.
You can contact your water company regarding how much fluoride they use
@@sternamc919sterna3 Ya, though I do agree with her in cases what she’s stated is very possible, but there are many reasons for hair loss and for many it is genetic

3. Nettle tea to drink 2x a day at least for removing hormone residue in the liver, further supporting hormone balance, altho not fully but enough.
4. Scalp massage for 30 minutes a day. Do not skip, just massage with your fingertips slow and hard, be gentle at first as next day can get sore.
5. Collagen powder 2x a day w tablespoons each time. Don't get pills they are not high dose enough.
6. Cold water rinse on just top of scalp, don't let cold water on back of neck or head much as you might get sick. But once a day or a couple of times a week does wonders.
Learnt this from my brother who spent years looking for answers. He has a full head of hair now and 38. But at 23 he had very thin hair all over. I had thin hair too.
Stick to the regimen, I promise you will see results. Hair growth requires many angels and this is why it's hard to cure.
What's taoist soap?
@@Zainab-mfc it's a doaist formula soap for hair and skin. I used it successfully in the regimen above. Very powerful to reach the roots. I got it online. But if you start the regimen without the products, will still help. I just mention it because helped me a lot.
@@iclickster5644 thank you
Hi
@@iclickster5644 I want to talk to u about hair growth please
Dr. Berg, this is invaluable information! All the information is also written down in the description, which is convenient. Thank you for that!
Thanks for Dr. Berg. I started to use your shampoo and conditioner recently and feel awesome now. The condition of hair loss becomes better. My hair fell out seriously during my menopause, so I will continue to use. Really hope there are more overseas shipping companies to choose. The postage really cost a lot, even more than the prices of products. 😂😒
THE BEST DOC IN THE WORLD! A GREAT ALL-ROUNDER!
Absolutely Great Advice 🙏
Thank you Dr. Berg
Most welcome! Glad you found it useful!

Happy to help!
Fantastic video! I lost my pristine hairline during a time I was really stressed out and never really recovered from it. This explains it..
i went through emotional stress. but i want to grow my hair back again and look pretty again.
Can you share with us
I don't deny what the doctor is saying however If your family's DNA is made up of full thick hair you will have full thick hair. If your family line had very thin brittle hair then that's what you will inherit.
I take about 95% of the supplements that correspond with what he has listed (yeah I eat okay enough). Not only is my hair full & dense (I’m 48) but it is like 99% jet black with some sheen to it. I’ve never dyed my hair. You can count on one hand the amount of grays. They tend to pop in dark hair. The other item I take is a multi collagen protein peptide powder every morning. Not only great for hair but great for joints and stomach.
Wow, thats great. I had grey hair from 21, since last 20yrs iam coloring my hair now facing hair loss, thinning and facial melanosis
Isn't too much collagen bad though.
Uuùuuuuuuuuuuuù
Genetics most likely.
Great data! Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you! 😊 so so much! Your help is amazing to my journey ❤️ so confirming and helps so beautifully. Had all these struggles 1 year postcovid and stress. The way I lead in my body, work life, ect. Can you comment the link here?? Also the one I saw on your page today contains saw palmetto and I have been told it maybe connected to erectile dysfunction can you recommend one without saw palmetto??
Exactly, I will be thinking about something, BAM Dr Berg has a video!!
@@dmney123 saw palmetto would help the disfunction.

Thank you. My partner is really concerned with her hair thinning. I will put in place a plan for her diet now. Love your videos.
Hi Dr Berg, I am enjoying your videos…but this one gives me the most hope, because I’ve always thought thin hair was genetic and worsens with age! Also these items you recommended are readily available, some of which I started consuming only recently. Thanks for the reassurance I am on the right track after all👍🏻
Loved the disclaimer and honesty. 😂
Thanks Dr Berg, always best advice on Health and Nutrition!
Thanks you Dr.Berg. I appreciates your thoughtfulness and kindness . Its highly appreciated 🙏. 🙏 Great information.
Dr Berg i purchased your hair growth supplement! Excited to finally try it
Congratulations 10m subscribers 🎉❤
Thank you so much for this. I underwent surgery and lost a copious amount of blood which led to massive hair loss. I’ve watched and read up a lot to help me grow my hair back. This video is so incisive and cuts to the heart of all my hair issues 🙏🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾
I made a big mistake and used a hair shampoo bar 🙄 I'm now losing my hair. I'm taking all of this advice
I had sunflower seeds, and coco nibs in a protein shake everyday for about a month. My hair was incredibly soft half way through that month.
It definitely has more to do with your health, rather than the type of shampoo you use.
Absolutely.
What else is in your shakes? That sounds good.. do you soak the sunnies 1st to activate the enzymes? And coco nibs are cacao nibs ? Do tell!
@@adevore1971 I had one meal a day. I'd use the shakes, as my 2nd & 3rd meal. First, I'd grind the sunflower seeds, and coco nibs into a fine powder (for pleasent toilet reasons haha). Then I'd get my flavour from the protein powder. Mine was chocolate flavour. Add milk, and you're all set. :) Edit: You might like to add stuff for better flavour but I wanted it to be, as healthy, and as cheap, as possible.
@@AlienYogurtPot123 aha interesting. Sounds yummy..thanks!
@@AlienYogurtPot123 Where did you buy the sunflower seeds and coco nibs?
I started taking vitamin d and iron a few months ago after experiencing hair loss for 2 years, and that got rid of the problem entirely.
I saw this on another video:
1.) vitamin d supplements
2.) iron foods like breakfast cereal, tofu, etc. Only foods because supplements can have wayyyy too much iron which is very bad without a doctor saying you need it)
3.) eat more fish/seafood for omega 3
4.) Make a juice
Beets, carrots, orange juice, and maybe tsp of honey. Blend/mix in blender. (You can find different recipe videos of it on RUclips, just search "hair loss home remedy")
Drink 2x a week.
5.) Hair oil or hair growth oil to put on hair (I'm using the ordinary's multipetide hair density serum right now)
6.) do yoga (for less stress)
1.Iron
2.Zinc
3.omega-3 fatty acids
4.Vitamin D
5.Selenium
6.Biotin
7.Folate (in active form)
8.Vitamin C
Sea kelp
Wash hair less frequently
Sulfate free shampoo
Conditioner that has essential oils and fats needed to revive the hair
Water that has fluoride or chlorine is not good use filters
Colouring use non-toxic dye
Lower your stress
Stop smoking
So basically a healthy diet lol
Does this work Did your hair grow in thicker.
@@BRBallin1 dont forget to go buy an expensive filter for your shower head..
I don't really know about the rest of the 13,but I stand by the washing my hair less often, huge impact for me
@@okipo3443 how many times a week do u wash ur hair ?
Thank you so much Dr. Eric for information with such clarity
a clever add for your sea kelp product
I moved from Miami to North Dakota. My hair shedding is out of control. I admit I don’t brush hair all the time, and my scalp gets oily/flaky. Thank you for these tips Dr Berg
Moving can be very stressful even if you are happy in your new place. It is normal for hair to go through shedding phases- with me it usually happens in October. October past I was picking up handfuls of hair from my carpet which was quite worrying. However that calmed down after a few weeks. Use a gentle sulphate free shampoo. I really like Living Proof hair products. Good nutrition, quality sleep, fresh air and exercise help also x
@@gillianm9367 Thank you! I started taking vitamins again. Working on being active since that helps bring circulation to your scalp too.
Miami to ND? Wow, that has to be a shock to the system. So different.
