Dr Berg is my doctor. He's such a good doctor that I don't even have to make an appointment. I just follow and all health problems gone! Thanks Dr Berg.
For me, everything started with a stressful workplace, I can confirm it is a big contributor to hair thinning and hair loss. Also stressful life comes with self-neglect, less healthy food less vitamins, less sun... Thank you for this great and useful summary
It's the little things that add up, if it's 10% of your day but thats every single day then thats a huge problem, the reverse is also true months and months of relaxing is restorative the body replaces all its parts each year a consistent constructive relaxation 10% per day grows and builds as well.
Same here. My hair was lovely and thick and then I was going through a break up and it just started falling out and thinning terribly. Stress has definitely definitely been the issue 4 my hair problem x
@@XxlilqhostxXTo be honest I changed workplace. Went to a therapist. Slept more. And started to change diet according to Dr Berg’s advices. I cut gluten, and (lactose-free) milk, these helped a lot. Which is not mentioned here, I think, I use MCT oil-rosemary combo on my scalp so my scalp is healthy now. I apply a home made fermented milk-egg mask 1x\2weeks on my scalp. Also I use a shampoo that is ok to use for people with eczema. I don’t have eczema, but have a sensitive THIN skin. And after shampooing I use an apple vinegar rinse on my scalp because of pH, so my scalp can defend itself more against fungi and bacteria. My hair and scalp are much more healthier, and during the healing process I noticed a lot of baby hair first which are long now and didn’t fall out. These helped a lot, but the real change was ditching my old boss. Take care of your mental health, it is your everything….
This man literally changed my life. Your information sir has drastically improved my health. You are a saint, may God bless you for sharing so freely and honestly.

I had COVID that lasted around 11 days. I thought I was fine but I began to notice a loss of more hair than normal. Following some research, I've come to realize it’s from the strain my body had during that time period and also the shampoo I had been using. So I began doing yoga and meditation everyday and changed my shampoo and conditioner to littleextrraa coooconion anti hair fall kit. And now i dont face any hairfall. Thank you for this video! I feel so much more at peace.
This liitlleextra cooconiion oil is infused with rosemary, coconut, onion, hibiscus, which are super foods for hair growth. I loved its texture. The smell is subtle and not overwhelming. In summary, it’s a great product and it helped me reduce hair fall by over 85%.
My own hair growth success story i followed below: 1. Fragrance free shampoo. Korean cosmetic industry understand why years ago, we are still behind. 2. Taoist soap for hair growth 2x a week only: stops further loss, stimulates new growth. 3. Nettle tea to drink 2x a day at least for removing hormone residue in the liver, further supporting hormone balance, altho not fully but enough. 4. Scalp massage for 30 minutes a day. Do not skip, just massage with your fingertips slow and hard, be gentle at first as next day can get sore. 5. Collagen powder 2x a day w tablespoons each time. Don't get pills they are not high dose enough. 6. Cold water rinse on just top of scalp, don't let cold water on back of neck or head much as you might get sick. But once a day or a couple of times a week does wonders. Learnt this from my brother who spent years looking for answers. He has a full head of hair now and 38. But at 23 he had very thin hair all over. I had thin hair too. Stick to the regimen, I promise you will see results. Hair growth requires many angels and this is why it's hard to cure.
@@Zainab-mfc it's a doaist formula soap for hair and skin. I used it successfully in the regimen above. Very powerful to reach the roots. I got it online. But if you start the regimen without the products, will still help. I just mention it because helped me a lot.
The ‘root’ of my hair thinning was stress. Once I started developing a better sleep schedule and a calmer life not only did my hair get thicker again but I stopped having concentration issues too.

He's a real doctor not those fake wolf-in-a-sheep-clothing working inside hospital. Those jerks are nothing more than drug dealer pushing medication on patients while telling them not to eat saturated fat and salt. Well, I'm eating animal fat and cook with lots of salt and I'm healthy, disease free and no covid vaccine necessary. My family learned not to trust any of them and we all very healthy.
Hair started growing back when I stopped drinking heavily, slept more, eat normal food instead of snacks, went outside, walked, got fresh air, sunshine, vitamin d on my skin,
@plutozinx6791 it was thinning, brittle, receding. I was having a 'chrome dome' I was doing the comb over . Now I have enough to comb it all back. Or to the side, and have some flop over my eye

Throughout my 90-day journey to grow hair, I did yoga and exercises, massaged my scalp using oil 3 times a week, shampooed once a week, and applied llitllextra Reactivate serum. Consequently, my hair grew longer without any breakage.
I used to have super thick hair 20 yrs back. Thinking about Hair fall leads to stress and thus hair falls!. I needed this advice.Thank you so much for this video, Dr Berg.
Truly can't thank you enough Dr Berg, I mean that with all entirety of the word. I am amazed by the genuity and non-biaseness in all your health advices. You are defintely leaving a sustainable and reliable legacy behind. Keep up the good work Dr . Berg. Big thanks!
My then 7 year old lost 25% of her hair due to stress over lockdown. The Derm started to tell me it might not grow back, but it has started to grow back with better nutrition and managing my stress, which for her was also causing her stress. I'm glad to see this video, I want to make sure I keep her on a healthy path and she can feel more confident in her appearance.
Danielle, I’m so sorry to hear that she was so stressed. Your daughter is fortunate to have a mother that is attentive to her over all health. These lockdown have caused an enormous amount of health issues. Especially children. Mental stress being one of them. Children’s developmental skills are being severely retarded by covering up facial expressions. Godspeed ✌🏽

The sleep is just as important.
Your 7 year old suffered from stress over lockdown? Hmmmm maybe your raising a weak fragile human??? Id take a good long hard look in the mirror if I were u. If she's "suffering" from stress already, boy she's in for a loooong tough time mate. Stress 😂
The timing of these videos is impeccable. I’ve been experiencing chronic hair shedding for the past 2 years and only in the past few weeks have I seen the shedding slowly taper down. I need more time before I can judge it but still an improvement. I was looking at my hair last night and this morning and thinking how thin it has become. It’s been on my mind 24/7. Then I see this video. Thank you!
It’s probably male pattern baldness and this won’t work for that. Hate how misleading this video is. All the guys will assume this will regrow their hair
For me reducing (almost removing) sugar from my diet reduced amount of lost hair in about 3 times. This is really good result. Interesting that it started to improve practically in a week. I decided to reduce sugar more for skin, and get more energy, improving of hair was a surprise like a nice side effect.
I saw this on another video: 1.) vitamin d supplements 2.) iron foods like breakfast cereal, tofu, etc. Only foods because supplements can have wayyyy too much iron which is very bad without a doctor saying you need it) 3.) eat more fish/seafood for omega 3 4.) Make a juice Beets, carrots, orange juice, and maybe tsp of honey. Blend/mix in blender. (You can find different recipe videos of it on RUclips, just search "hair loss home remedy") Drink 2x a week. 5.) Hair oil or hair growth oil to put on hair (I'm using the ordinary's multipetide hair density serum right now) 6.) do yoga (for less stress)
Dr. Berg~ You are a national treasure. You give clear, quick details qualifying the whys and hows of each supplement, as well as examples of good vs. not so good sources. You are teaching us to “fish” (as opposed to just giving us fish). Thank you.
I stumbled upon this video. I recovered from alopecia and went on to regrow a full head of thick hair using this same info which I gathered from my own research as well as what I learnt from another trusted source. This man knows what he is talking about and he is on point!👍🏽
how long have you been suffering from alopecia and how long did it take you to recover? I am asking because i suffer from female pattern alopecia and i have lost 75% of my hair.your comment gave me a ray of hope
@owen stock I'm super happy for you! I'm also an alopecia sufferer and it is getting worse and worse, I feel hopeless. Please, I'd appreciate if you could share with us more info. China has large amount of people die of this cancer, because guess what they eat way more of these nuts then Americans. Spread the knowledge!!! and NEVER eat these nuts!!!
Very true regarding the good doctor and I for one am extremely grateful for all he does. However being consistent does not make something trustworthy, one only has to be aware of what’s been happening world wide in the last 24 months to understand how that statement can be misconstrued. Kind regards and stay healthy !!!
@@derektoledo5605 I will tell you a method which is simple but not very popular or enticing at all, but it did thicken my hairs in the span of last 4.5 years, all I did was to drink 2tbsp of crushed flaxseeds with water two times a day and it kept my hair thicker than it was before.
My hair started falling out after my mother passed away 5 years ago. And my brother passed away a year ago ( only in his 30s). Both passed after suffering from terminal illnesses for many years. And many other stressful situations happened to me. This video is very helpful, thanks a lot doctor!
Yes to postpartum hair loss and stress + grief. I was 2 months postpartum when my daughter passed away in her sleep last year from SIDS. My hair fell out in giant clumps. I’m going to try Dr Berg’s vitamins. I am eating better (keto + IF via Dr Berg’s plan) I already feel much better but the hair loss of the past year of grief has taken its toll.

I want to thank you for this video. I recently was discovered to have extremely low hemoglobin levels (under 6 where norms are about 15). I had been complaining to my doctor that my once beautiful thick hairs were now extremely thin and fragile so that they kept breaking and my hair was falling out so much that I wondered why I wasn't bald. My doctor said it was old age (I'm only 70). She said my weakness was because I wasn't exercising (which I couldn't because I was too weak) Had she done even looked at my hemoglobin levels, I wouldn't have needed an emergency trip to the hospital for a transfusion. I wouldn't have developed Afib, heart disease, extreme shortness of breath, and weakness that sent me to bed for about 20 hours a day. My primary care physician never even looked at my hemoglobin levels, though they were part of the regular blood work. It was only when I went to a cardiologist and he saw that I was in an emergency situation that I was able to fix the underlying problem and begin to raise my hemoglobin levels. I was stunned when almost immediately, my hair stopped breaking and falling off. It was pure white. Now it seems to be turning dark. I had slow but steady blood loss through my stools, but I hadn't recognized it as bloody stools. It had gone on for so long that it looked normal. Moral of the story -- if you don't trust your doctor, change doctors. Some are incompetent. Remember, half of all doctors graduated at the bottom half of their class. I look forward to seeing your shampoo and conditioner for sale
My own experience many if not most doctors at least in USA are borderline incompetent. Thats why you must take charge of your own health and one place to start is reviewing your own blood work. Covid has only made the situation worse, providers overworked and stressed.
Sushmita: Hi Gail Im so sure your story resonates with many others including me esp. touching on the "undergraduate doctors' who makes you feel as though you are just a number eg. 15mins per visit of no value and writing out prescriptions just to make patients 'feel good' . . . try this / try that etc. difficult to make that change sometimes!
First, it's so easy to listen to Dr. Berg because he has a lovely voice. Second, everything Dr. Berg talks about is true. From Keto to hair growth to anything you need, Dr. Berg is telling you the truth based on science.
He definitely is! I've seen other "scientists" come at him, trying to discredit him? Why? It's because they're threatened by him. That's what got my attention. When you go against the grain (the/most doctors that lie and try to shove meds that they get kick backs from down your throat), ppl come after you.
Only true if you have a nutrient deficiency which is highly unlikely when it comes to hair nutrients. His info is mediocre at best but that's what you'd expect from a doctor. I'd recommend you look into hair massages.
@@macaroon147 I read a book about some natural treatments which are of course not FDA approved: Polysorbate 80 - was shown to regrowth hair when used topically everyday for 6+months. (Mechanism was said to be DHT blocking+histamine release) Niacin (nicotinic acid, vitamin B3) - causes a flush = release of histamine which is linked to regeneration, and dilates blood vessels so more blood circulation to the scalp. Microneedles = Blood circulation to the scalp Ginger/ginseng drops = Good for hair I guess Red light therapy = another thing that may work.
I started going in the sun a lot more to up my vitamin D levels and noticed my hair has been growing so much thicker and faster. The craziest thing is I even started growing hair on my arms and legs which I never had before ! Sunlight really does stimulate hair growth

I had sunflower seeds, and coco nibs in a protein shake everyday for about a month. My hair was incredibly soft half way through that month. It definitely has more to do with your health, rather than the type of shampoo you use.
@@adevore1971 I had one meal a day. I'd use the shakes, as my 2nd & 3rd meal. First, I'd grind the sunflower seeds, and coco nibs into a fine powder (for pleasent toilet reasons haha). Sorry to hear that Dee but pay close attention to your health. Healthy eating is important but so are exercise and a healthy lifestyle. I have Hashimoto’s disease which started out as hypothyroidism but progressed because I dismissed the symptoms as part of getting older. You may want to ask your doctor to run a t3 and t4 thyroid test as well as testing for antibodies. Once you get Hashimoto’s it is progressive and it causes a lot of damage to your body. It starts in the immune system so eating properly is very important. Good luck
I thought that my mother's thin hair had to skipped me because she was thin by 20. I made it until 50 before I noticed a little, and now, the last week I have noticed a lot more. I am 53 now and was wondering what to do catching glimpses of my scalp in the mirror....this was absolute impeccable timing for me. Stress, losing my home, over the last year. I eat a plant based diet and was apprehensive about watching this because I often times hear people blaming a plant based diets solely for issues such as hair loss. I have been plant based for over 30 years but have experienced a great deal of stress and a significant loss in my life in 2021 and have noticed my hair thinning recently. Thank you for identifying stress/trauma as a potential factor. I found this video incredibly helpful and comprehensive. I find lots of people talk about biotin for hair growth but often neglect to mention iron, D3, zinc, selenium and omega 3, as well as protein. Looking forward to implementing several of your suggestions. I knew I was going to appreciate this video from the start when you made your non-biased joke lol. Thanks for being transparent and honest Dr Berg! ❤️
Heyyy friend I am vegan too. My hair is amazing but I eat very well, and incorporate every vitamin into my diet. Stress can cause a lot of hair problems but it is the most undetected problem because people do not admit they have stress or they do not know how to deal with it. Kisses.
People blame plant based diet because they do not know how to eat a plant based diet. Even people who eats meat deals with a lot of health problems. One you find a good doctor and nutritionist It is almost impasible for you to have some kind of health issue. I also take my vitamin B12, it’s important for vegans and vegetarians. And remember tan animals do not produce B12. ❣️🥰😍
I see so many men in their 20s losing their hair, going bald so early. I can't help but to link it to the rise in GMO food from the early 1990s. My Dad had full, thick hair his entire life. He grew up eating real food. Thankfully, we also grew up eating real food from hunting, fishing, foraging, growing and raising. My brother has full, thick hair without thinning and he is in his late 40s. Another observation - my sisters and I never had extreme development like I saw in many of my friends. Health is really all about what you put into your body. The fluoride water, when it came to our little town, really messed up our teeth. We went from no dental issues to cavities within a couple years. Of course, dentists disagree, but I experienced it first hand.

Here are some quick notes I took that you can copy and paste for later :) 1. IRON • involved in the build up of hemoglobin 2. Zinc •Involved in hundreds of enzymes like protein... and hair is protein • red meat is enough zinc Tellogen efflugen causes hair loss through stress 3. OMEGA 3 FATTY ACIDS • too much omega 3 decreases omega 3 • they’re anti- inflammatory 4. Vitamin D • I’d they’re deficient in bile they’re body won’t be able to absorb vitamin D •important in immune aspects of hair 5. SELENIUM • important in thyroid health Important antioxidant Helps with dandruff and inhibits the fungus that causes dandruff 6. BIOTIN Essentiial for hair growth 7. FOLATE and synthetic version folic acid • Good for hair skin and nail Helps to fully develop proteins In dark leafy greens 8. COLLAGEN 9. VITAMIN C from cabbage, berries, bell peppers Assists collagen Protein powders are not recommended Tiredness is caused by lack of protein 10. SEA KELP has amino acids Stop over washing hair Use shampoos without sulfates Get good conditioner Avoid city water with chlorine and fluoride Cortisol is catabolic which means it breaks down proteins
I take about 95% of the supplements that correspond with what he has listed (yeah I eat okay enough). Not only is my hair full & dense (I’m 48) but it is like 99% jet black with some sheen to it. I’ve never dyed my hair. You can count on one hand the amount of grays. They tend to pop in dark hair. The other item I take is a multi collagen protein peptide powder every morning. Not only great for hair but great for joints and stomach.
Dr. Berg, Thank You!!! You have definitely helped me, especially for us with no health insurance. Bless your heart for teaching and sharing with all of us🙏🏽 Your a gift!
I think diet/health and genetics has a lot to do with it. My mom is 86 and still has a full head of thick hair. Her dad was 93 when he passed and still had a full head of thick gun metal gray hair. Mine is average I would say, hair loss common on my dad's side.
Now I know why my daughters hair just started growing and getting thicker. We take Biotin but we started taking Zinc and that's when we noticed her hair getting thicker. He has such a calming voice.

I lost my hair in large clumps in the past year. My mom and both of my dogs died. Stress really does cause hair loss. The hair loss is slowing down but I still have poor looking hair. I’ve added biotin and omega-3. I believe that it has helped a lot. Thank you for the info!
Thank you so much Doctor. I'm from Pakistan and I've spent hundreds of thousands on my hairs. I've genetical alopecia as my doctor told me. But they put me through enough pain by injecting PRP injections and I haven't seen any result. I'm indebted for your great video. Always keep shining.

This video is super helpful! The only thing I started doing two years ago was adding fish back to my diet (3-4 times weekly) in about three months, my hair was getting thicker. After two years, my hair is full and doesn't fall as much anymore. I have to point out that I don't use sulfate shampoos hair dyes, and I have a whole house water filter.
After years of wasting $$$ on eyelash & especially eyebrow, serums, I’ve discovered that 5 months of Dr Berg’s Hair Supplement is growing both. I thought my eyebrows were going to be barely there forever because of a prior thyroid condition. I’m thrilled!! I 💕Dr Berg. All his supps I’ve tried WORK, & have become constants.
I was going bald, quit using store bought beauty products and started making my own shampoo and conditioner with all natural ingredients. My hair is thick and past my waist now.
During the pandemic, for the first time, my hair started falling out, but it may also age related. When my stress went down, my hair doesn't fall out as much. I also found out I was washing my hair too much. Thanks for the advice!
I'm starting to think that a lot of us lose hair because we wash it to often, for a while now I started washing it only about once per week and it seems to work
I live in equator, hot & humidity country..sweating all day long so I have to wash my hair everyday..I think to solve my hair fall problem is by consuming enough nutrition as mentioned by Dr Berg..and also alert about ingredients in shampoo, & avoid cloride water..
I had Covid in the fall and it lasted 4 weeks or more. After recovering, I noticed my hair falling out and the shedding continued for 2 or 3 months. Now I’m waiting for my thinned out hair to grow back. I thought I’d see more growth by now (June ‘22) I am in my mid 60’s and hope it’s not wishful thinking it will come back. I should probably let the sun shine on my head rather than wear a hat. I heard applying castor oil to scalp on a regular basis may help too. Easing stress is most important👍
Consuming kefir and kombucha is also good for thicker hair. If you do like those protein powders I usually take a vegan or veggie protein powder. Plus make sure you're also getting minerals. Those things have also made my hair grow. My hair us past my tailbone. Also the biggest part of growing hair is patience! ...and scalp massage 😁
I haven’t used shampoo for over 10 years, it became greasy for a while but it settled down & now it doesn’t get greasy, I use coconut based conditioner once a week, I’m 70 years old & still have quite a decent head of hair.
@@teresamitchell5316 For years I used shampoo & when conditioner became a thing I used it after shampooing but I heard a guy in an interview saying he’d stopped using shampoo & saying what I said in my statement earlier so I tried it myself. I don’t use any kind of detergents, soap or shampoo on my hair, just water & conditioner about 1-2 times a week & my hair looks pretty good & it doesn’t smell 😜Try it your hair will be better for it as you’re washing out the natural oils your scalp produces using shampoo so your scalp produces more oil to replace the natural oils causing greasy hair.
I have a thinning hair problem as well as the bald spots for the past 2 years. Good info! But unfortunately the shower head to remove fluoride you recommended down below doesn’t remove fluoride! Very hard to find one for sure , because of the reverse osmosis! Whole house filter system would be the way to go!👍
Thanks for Dr. Berg. I started to use your shampoo and conditioner recently and feel awesome now. The condition of hair loss becomes better. For me, everything started with a stressful workplace, I can confirm it is a big contributor to hair thinning and hair loss. Also stressful life comes with self-neglect, less healthy food less vitamins, less sun... Thank you for this great and useful summary
*sweats profusely*
Did you ever get it to grow back? If so how?

My own hair growth success story i followed below:

Under 6 with no intervention?! Geez! Hit 7 in the hospital, and we transfuse! Sometimes we don’t even wait for it to drop to 7.
How did you fix the underlying problem and raise your hemoglobin levels as you mentioned, if I may ask?
Half of what doctors learn in college is wrong. So even the top half of the class only learned half of the correct stuff.🤦♀️

Polysorbate 80 - was shown to regrowth hair when used topically everyday for 6+months. (Mechanism was said to be DHT blocking+histamine release)
Niacin (nicotinic acid, vitamin B3) - causes a flush = release of histamine which is linked to regeneration, and dilates blood vessels so more blood circulation to the scalp.
Microneedles = Blood circulation to the scalp

For the Vegans, Chia Seed is a brilliant source of Omega 3. Add it to your Salads or Plant Protein Shakes or mix it with Plant milk and leave it to set in the fridge to set, as an Omega 3 pudding. Same. I'm already doing all the things in this video, (though still working on eliminating sugar). Plus no dairy, no gluten and taking armour thyroid. Still losing much of my thigh length hair, most of my eyebrows and lashes, and all of my body hair.
Going back on MSM - it did help when I took it before. New hair was growing in that even my hair dresser could see.

I attribute a lot to it, but I will let you know that as of December I am still breast cancer free!! I found Dr Berg about 5 years ago now, switched over to Keto, stayed really strict, until this last year, the three lumps that they had found in my right breast 02/2015 are still gone as of 12/2020!!

During lockdowns, I was taking NAC, K2, D3, Vitamin C and Magnesium supplements. Side effect was my hair was thicker and my hair fall stop.
I was having severe hair loss for almost two years. Lost around 70% of my hair. Recently got some blood tests and found out I was anemic. My dermatologist prescribed iron supplements and hair vitamins. And within few days my hair fall stopped. I was going through hell all this time and I am so grateful everyday now.

You can contact your water company regarding how much fluoride they use
@@sternamc919sterna3 Ya, though I do agree with her in cases what she’s stated is very possible, but there are many reasons for hair loss and for many it is genetic
@@arletah3080 I'm convinced it's connected to microplastics, which are endocrine disruptors. I also notice cystic acne + PCOS (both hormonal conditions) are on the rise in the past decade.
Bottled water, no tap water. You are correct about fluoride in the water. I think that is why I have a low thyroid now.
@@sternamc919sterna3 Its not about high testosterone its about your hairs sensitivity to DHT. All male pattern baldness is genetic and unfortunately these remedies may help a little but will not do much in the long run.

Here are some quick notes I took that you can copy and paste for later :)
1. IRON
• involved in the build up of hemoglobin
2. Zinc
•Involved in hundreds of enzymes like protein... and hair is protein
• red meat is enough zinc
Tellogen efflugen causes hair loss through stress
3. OMEGA 3 FATTY ACIDS
• too much omega 3 decreases omega 3
• they’re anti- inflammatory
4. Vitamin D
• I’d they’re deficient in bile they’re body won’t be able to absorb vitamin D
•important in immune aspects of hair
5. SELENIUM
• important in thyroid health
Important antioxidant
Helps with dandruff and inhibits the fungus that causes dandruff
6. BIOTIN
Essentiial for hair growth
7. FOLATE and synthetic version folic acid
• Good for hair skin and nail
Helps to fully develop proteins
In dark leafy greens
8. COLLAGEN
9. VITAMIN C
from cabbage, berries, bell peppers
Assists collagen
Protein powders are not recommended
Tiredness is caused by lack of protein
10. SEA KELP has amino acids
Stop over washing hair
Use shampoos without sulfates
Get good conditioner
Avoid city water with chlorine and fluoride
Cortisol is catabolic which means it breaks down proteins
Thanks for the notes

I think diet/health and genetics has a lot to do with it. My mom is 86 and still has a full head of thick hair. Her dad was 93 when he passed and still had a full head of thick gun metal gray hair. Mine is average I would say, hair loss common on my dad's side.
