    Squatting to eliminate used to be the natural way to keep those muscles exercised. Our modern conveniences truly are harming us more than we know.

      Yes this is true. In addition, this is still a preferred position for labor/child birth in many cultures, wherein the birth giver has some kind of support for the upper body (such as a rope that is attached to a Philly mechanism that can hold the birthgiver's weight), because the muscles of the abdominal wall and the pelvic floor work along with gravity which can in some cases reduce length of hard labor

    I’ve been doing both since I was a child. I’m 41 and the first move is how I watch tv at night. I’m not sure why. But it’s comfortable to me ❤

    I have slept on my mattress on the floor for many many years so I am constantly getting up and down from that position and that helps me because I've got some bad injuries around my tailbone the connective tissue was completely torn. So that helps a lot.

      Interesting. I was having a ton of pain in my tailbone. For unrelated reasons I ditched my box springs and put my mattress on the floor. It's been a few months and I just told my family the other day how my tailbone pain has seemgly all gone away on its own, I wonder now if having the mattress on the floor is helpful.

    I got a spondy l5-s1 and I seemed to have adopted a posteriorally rotated pelvis while sittting, which increase compression on my pudendal nerve, especially the rectal branch. I can do a full squat without a yoga block, but in my special case, sitting on a block, even a nice soft one would likely exacerbate my symptoms. Just sharing my anecdotal experience and knowledge since this issue has a serious lack of information regarding it. I enjoy your videos and I am implementing your protocols into rehabbing my pelvic floor and having some success, I just wanted to share that perhaps for some people, sitting on the block may be too much for them. Your tricep dominant exercise would be much better for someone like me or anyone that may have entrapment at the ST / SS ligaments.

    Just use indian style commode regularly and your pelvic floor will ve absolutely fine.

      @@cathyjennings5580 learn importance of pelvic floor exercises you will know. Learn importance of washing properly after pooping. Swiping with tissue won't make people hygienic.

      I absolutely agree that being able to squat like you showed with feet flat, even pushing your knees apart is good for your body. I've started doing it along with other stretches for my lower back pain... but I thought I heard you're supposed to strengthen your pelvic floor so I just got confused about relaxing it I guess🤔

    So, the last example, if we don't use our upper trunk muscles on lift, which muscle group are we using for the ascent? I ask because the first part was about relaxing the inner thighs and the pelvic floor, so is the last exercise the opposite and that is where we should be tightening the pelvic floor/hip flexor/glutes and quads?

    What in regard to a mother daughter dynamic? My daughter hasnt spoken to me in 3 years due to her coming home before her son was born that her partner was doing all these things to her, she chose to go back... her guy was selling drugs around her newborn baby and is angry that i turned him in to child services... he is not a good person , i just am now labeled as devil energy. I just told her i was her mother and what else do you say to your adult child when their partner hurts them? She is my flesh... mothers want the very best for their children... i have not seen her or my grandson since he was 3 days old... i accept its her choice ... my heart and door will always be open to her unconditionally... love is free...
    I accept her choices , i fell on my own sword... my inner work i am confronting my shadow ....

    I am 70 years old with bad knees. If I squat down, I cannot get up due to bad knees and lack of muscle tone because I have suffered with this for a long time and did not realize what it was.

      Good luck with those exercises, at 78 I’d have no chance of doing them. I’ll just stick with the old way of doing pelvic floor exercise. Thank you anyway.

      No because you're stretching them, it's like saying that stretching your leg is putting pressure on your knees or feet, it's stretching a muscle, not putting pressure on anything

    Came for 3 pelvic floor exercises and got a squat on a yoga block and a tricep exercise 😅.
    Baby pose is a better option to directly target your pelvic floor.

    I've never been pregnant and im just in my early 20s.. But before 4 to 5 years, I've noticed that my pee hole( the pipe through which we pee) came slightly out of my vagina.. And for the past 3 months I can't control my pee.. I'm soo worried. Can anyone tell me what's the reason?? Can it be cured by exercise??

    I have a third grade uterine prolapse and squats make it worse.

      Yes prolapse needs to be stabilized. Typically at that level it is done surgically from what I see.

    Oh grief 😢NOT EASY TO DO . OUR BODIES have become so weak over many years of life 😢😢😢😢.
    Relaxing our pelvic area of our precious bodies ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊. Not easy to do! Can Physical therapist help us with this therapy program???? 😮????

      @@corepelvicfloortherapy there’s no guarantee all of these exercises will help you can go through months of this and see no difference and that’s what I’m hearing from a lot of women it didn’t work.
