    Please note that if you're having your period, you might want to avoid this stretch as it is an inversion and it may not feel "right" in your body at this time of the month. However, it's a very *gentle* inversion, and so for some people it's going to feel great (even during their period). Just tune into your body and do what feels right for YOU! You can also try it off the block, or with your legs up against a wall. xoxoxo!

    My mind is blown. I’ve been struggling with frequent urination/urge for 4 months now. I’ve had every test under the sun and was then told I have interstitial cystitis and would need medication to relieve some symptoms, but never cure it all the way. I refused to accept that because our bodies are magic and can heal themselves. I am currently meeting with a holistic nutritionist who has helped me tremendously to heal my leaky gut (something I’m convinced everyone with IC has). The more in touch with my body I became, the more I sensed my tight pelvic floor so figured id try some exercises. After ONE DAY my urgency is cut in half, and I can visualize my pelvic floor much better, which I believe really helps. I literally can’t thank you enough for this. Our bodies are wonderful and can heal themselves, with the right holistic doctors and exercise. It is definitely not easy right now, but I know it will all be worth it. THANK YOU!

      I started getting this pain in the abdominal area and bladder issues and I could figure out the pain was because of pelvic muscles being overused or extremely contracted due to sedentary lifestyle. Please do not practice voluntary contraction as it is extremely dangerous to contract already contracted and overused muscles. Try to relax them instead by doing simple stretch exercises. I have been doing simple abdominal stretch exercises and I can literally feel heavenly relaxation in abdominal muscles. My urination problem has almost disappeared. Do not contract them at any cost..it is internet myth

    Brilliant video, I'm 63 and have just been told I have a 'prolapse'. (They have been treating me with low estrogen as I have had a few urine infections) but now say it's a prolapse of the uterus! but as I have no symptoms for this they think I've had it for years! ..They suggested pelvic floor exercises but I'm struggling to actually isolate and just exercise these muscles . but by using the block you can really feel the muscles you need to exercise and tilting the body is such a good way to reposition your pelvic organs...Thank you ..I am also using more of your videos x

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  Год назад +1

      I'm thrilled that you're finding the exercises using the block helpful! It's impressive how you're proactively managing your situation. The fact that you're addressing pelvic organ prolapse even without noticeable symptoms shows your dedication to your health. Using the block to enhance muscle awareness is a smart approach. Remember, consistency is key.

    Hello Dr Bri, my name is Syl, I’m 70 years old & have been having issues with frequent & urgent urination for some time now. My doctor of course prescribed medication that at best is hit or miss in working!
    So I decided to turn to RUclips for the answer…scrolling down thru the ‘many’, my instinct said that I should check out your video. As I suffer from osteoporosis, arthritis, etc throughout my body I’m hoping that you could helping me choose your videos that would best help me in strengthening & loosening my pelvic floor muscles.

    I thought I had an UTI so I went to the doctor. They gave me medication to treat the UTI. I took medication, symptoms did not go away.
    I also removed my IUD ( I thought that was causing an issue because it was closer to my expiry date for removal).
    The nurse said to me, have you every heard about tight pelvic floor muscle? I have only heard about loose muscle.
    ( I have been lifting heavy at the gym for about 10 years now). I stated to do some research about how to loosen pelvic floor muscles, and stumbled upon this.
    I have practiced this movement 3 days in a row, morning and evening and my Symptoms have disappeared ( urgent need to urinate, feeling like I wasn’t able to completely empty bladder, extreme lower back pain and tightness that’s has been bothering me for over a year).
    I am going to be adding this movement and other movements from your channel morning and evening!
    Sooo thankful I am now aware of what tight pelvic floor muscles will do to you body and how to fix the problem.
    Thank you so much!

    Thank you Dr. I’m 61, had three children, two naturally and one Caesarian. I’ve also had a prolaspe rectocele operation about 7 years ago. Recently fell down downs and since have been having more issues with pelvis to the point that I do now have another prolaspe. I cannot bare the thought of another operation. My surgeon did say at the time that I would eventually need another one one day, that day has come and I’m going to do this as natural as possible. Just did your exercise and felt taller when I stood up and more relaxed. I’m excited to learn that I can do this with your help. Thank you again.

    This is very refreshing for me. I always have had pelvic issues and my sciatica. I often slip out of place with my pelvis like rotated or tilted and I also have recently had issues with properly going to the bathroom. And I just constantly deal with tension and tightness in that area. And I’m always trying to relive it through basic stretching and dead hangs but this was the most relief I’ve ever felt!
    I’m absolutely going to do this everyday after I wake up!
    Literally a game changer for me and probably others.

    Omg, I haven't been checked for DX but just a 4 days ago I began to feel heaviness in the vagina as if a head something inside. Cannot get an appointment to confirm my suspicion. I pray im wrong! I have no idea where to go. My pcp is a male and obgyn doesn't have any openings till December 2022. I ran across your video and I can see how this exercise to be of help plus Keel exercises until I can be examined to either I'm wrong in my suspicion or diagnose and determine what kind of prolapse I have and hopefully not severe to where I'd need surgery which sounds pretty invasive. If im correct, I kind of know what contributed to this issue.
    Thank you so much for your generous time in educating women like me at age 69, I was clueless. Younger women need to be forewarned to not do things that can lead to this problem. I wish I knew!
    Again, thank you.♥️

    I am here because i have tmj, and im convinced if i loosen my pelvis my jaw will too. Im in bed, so i put my butt on top of a balled up blanket, and let my legs hang off the bed a little, and that extra stretch im pretty sure just changed my life. I had no idea how tight it all was down there. The front of my hips, pelvic floor, feet ankles and lower abs feel so delightful right now. As i relaxed my pelvic floor I opened my mouth as well to let my jaw and pelvic floor have a break together.

I got on youtube and I saw your video, I did everything you were demonstrating and in no time I felt a huge relief😢. It was almost like a magic button! Thank you so much

    I’ve been suffering with POP symptoms recently (UTI symptoms and general heaviness) and have been certain my pelvic floor muscles are not too loose. I’ve had 3 children and have been lifting at the gym heavy for 5 years now, mainly glute strengthening and building exercises . It’s got so much of an issue I’m having to avoid doing certain resistance band exercises and weights. I’ve just read some of the comments on this video and found most people’s symptoms are similar to mine! I’ve just tried this exercise and I felt relief almost instantly. I’m going to try this daily as I’m certain I have tight hips, glutes and Hams and that’s what causing some of these issues.
    Thank-you for this video I feel more positive I may be able to ease my symptoms so I can get back to my normal life exercise life.

    Your channel has literally changed my life. I am so grateful. I had several UTIs in the span of two years and while I haven't had one since starting to take Uqora, I still felt a lot of residual pain and discomfort at random, and while there were some solutions that I tried for pain relief, it was never perfect and I still went through a lot of pain. However, your videos have helped significantly and I am so grateful to you. Any reoccurring pain has almost vanished entirely. I wish you were more well known and I had come across your videos months ago!! Thank you so much :')

    I think I am going to try this with a rolled up towel at first instead of a hard block. Busted up my pelvic ring 4 years ago. So many fractures on all the bones and to this day still hurting. Sacrum split in two places and have a big screw drilled from my hip into the bone and pulling the sacrum pieces back together. Can say the pain has been a bit much. Hope this will ease up my pain, would love to get off pain medication or atleast a lower dosage. Now to get up and give it a go daily and see how I do!

    Always thought prolapse means “loose” pelvic floor muscles. But I realised although I was diagnosed with mild bladder prolapse 6 weeks post partum, I have symptoms of tight pelvic floor muscles. Is this possible to have prolapse with tight pelvic floor muscles?

    • @Mr3kiwis
      @Mr3kiwis 2 года назад

      My understanding is that prolapse is caused by *weak* rather than loose pelvic floor muscles. One cause of weakness can be the muscles being fatigued from being tight. So ironically, tightness can lead to incontinence and prolapse.
