    Thank-you Dr. Hirsch! Finally, the Reid Technique explained by a professional scientist who understands the Scientific Method, as one should, as well as being published in reputable journals and periodicals. Thorough; precise; professional. Dr. Hirsch also explained that the the Reid Technique is beginning to be banned...and this is the coercive, Civil-rights stripping method used for hours upon hours on the defendant...with wild abandon.

      I agree as well .... what we have to do to protect our selves and loved ones is to teach ALWAYS get an attorney from the beginning. Police detectives especially are taught to make us believe that they are there to HELP us. They will tell you the world is flat and it’s going to end in 3....2...1 second so you better tell them what they want or your going to hell. It’s really hard to believe how they will coerce people into things when we’re told they are there to save us. We want to believe they will not lie. Bottom line... 3~DONT TALK
      2~CALL AN ATTORNEY
      1~JUST LISTEN

      @emoliver80 4 года назад +2

      @@veegee916 although I think this girl is guilty, I don't agree with the way the 2nd interrogation was handled, but you mentioned the woman was texting while Skylar was sobbing and if I remember correctly she said she was texting the other officer/detective (can't recall his title), bc she couldn't leave the room and he was gone for quite awhile and Skylar was also wondering where her dad was and if the officer was talking to him and/or getting him for her, and bc Skylar was also wanting to know if she was going home with her parents or going to jail when she left there that day, and woman told her she wasn't able to say or determine that and that they had to wait til he came back. Im pretty sure I remember the woman specifically saying "I'm texting him but..." So as bad as that interrogation was, I don't think that particular part of the interview says anything negative about that lady...I'm sure there are various other parts of the interview where that lady's actions/words, etc should be called out for being an a-hole.

    She knows a still born baby doesn't cry, she knows a still born baby doesn't move it's arms, she knows a still born baby doesn't gurgle! She would not say a still born baby did any of this even after questioning. Still born is dead! A white baby could be a baby covered in mucus cover, the sound of gurgling very well could be she did not clear the baby's airways of mucus that a nurse would do for a baby after birth. Then baby still for sometime will choke and gag on mucus in it's airway.The mom has to help the baby when this occurs. This young lady had said before questioning she could not have this baby. This young lady hid this baby, (pregnancy). This young lady chose to have birth in bedroom, bathroom and not call for help by her parent's, not call 911. Tell me did questioning caused her to do this? What was she going to do when this baby came? What was this young lady going to do when baby cried? Remember she could not have this baby before this young lady was questioned? This baby never had a chance. This young lady had no compassion when she buried it without as much as a towel to dignify it. This young lady went about her life about how great she was going to look and working on being thin again, all before questioning. This young lady was said to lie and lie a lot, said by her parent's. This young lady did not want to tell the truth.

      You're exactly right. this young lady is a self absorbed, manipulative, conniving murderer who planned on snuffing her baby out the day she realized that she was pregnant. Every time I hear her call the baby Annabell I cringe. It's an obvious ploy to project her 'love' for this baby she detested. I bet she abused the poor baby her entire pregnancy by punching her stomach hoping to cause a miscarriage...

      Wow life I completely agree with everything you have just said!! Skylar was not able to ever tell her mother because mum told her a baby would be the end of her life as she knew it. Skylar could never tell her boyfriend because HE was not the father and she didn’t want to lose him.
      She had made no preparations for the birth of this baby! Where she would go to give birth? No bedding, no clothes, nappies, no bottles or any information on breastfeeding, no postnatal necessities such as pads or nursing bras! Seriously what was she going to do?
      How lucky was she to have a stillborn baby?! Now all she had to do is get rid of all the evidence by burying the baby in the backyard.
      She knew the place and was confident in covering up the burial site with a potted plant.
      Following all this drama Skylar set about “normalising” her life and was obviously anxious to include her mother! Who was sooo “proud” of her little girl for losing so much weight!! If Skylar had never gone back to the same OBGYN clinic and spewed a confession of sorts to the Dr. this may have gone unnoticed. This whole story is tragic on every level 🥺

    i think what the defendant doesn't realize, is that if her baby was in fact stillborn, she could have went to her parents once the baby was born. what's done is done and the baby is gone. she would have been in the same situation as before. i'm sure she would have gotten in trouble, but far less since she has no baby to care for. obviously she would have just continued taking birth control, go to college and enjoy her "boss" body with all the men she wanted to be desired by.
    BUT...not if she actually killed the baby, or even accidentally caused her death. common sense dictates that it would have been investigated, or even slightly looked into; and the truth would be revealed. surely she must have known this.
    she hid the pregnancy because she clearly NEVER intended to keep the child or even try to find suitable parents to adopt her out to.

    • @JenKelly
      @JenKelly 4 года назад +7

      Because in a US court of law, the State has an obligation to prove that Skylar is guilty. They emphatically haven’t done that.
      She is (as I type)..(and for the past 2yrs) held accountable. She is facing a jury of her peers. Her life has been turned upside-down. That is accountability too. This will cost her and her family hundreds of thousands of dollars. Her reputation (regardless of acquittal) is destroyed. Her actions, details of her sex life, home life and mental health will forever live on RUclips.
      So while she likely won’t spend decades in prison, there is and has been some accountability.
      I don’t condone this girl’s actions whatsoever, but I can’t say one way or another that she did/didn’t kill that baby. The more I got to know her through her character witnesses, the more I err on the side of her being wildly negligent- but not a murderer.
      She’ll pay for what she’s done/didn’t do for the rest of her life. It was HER BABY - wanted or not- She’ll never forget. She won’t forget that night and she certainly won’t forget the images of her baby’s bones. She *will suffer over that - even if she didn’t think she would.
      A large % of women carry years of depression and guilt after aborting an unwanted pregnancy (even in very early stages). Imagine what Skylar will feel in later life.

      Shirley Fields really? Why are you hating on the mom? She did nothing wrong and if you have watched the entire trial like I did, and others should do too, before you comment or judge. Skylar’s mom was called as aa witness for the defense, because of what she thought as a mom was encouraging her daughter. I’m a mom to a teenager who had an earring disorder, and honestly, you’ll say or do just about anything for your child when you as a mom feel their child is struggling. I can’t imagine as a mom not being able to be there with her child during a trial like this. FYI, her mom was there every day, waiting outside the courtroom and as soon as the defense didn’t need her confession, you will see her later on sitting next to her husband in the trial. Not guilty!
