The interaction between the parents and Skylar in the interrogation room provided a wealth of knowledge. Especially the affect of the mother. Very strange. No affection, no urge to protect. Even pulled her hand back when Skylar was reaching for it. She barely said anything to her except “it is all over the news now”. Typical white dysfunction family. In order to maintain the perfect familial image their daughter had to resort to Bulimia and I am sure the mom pops a Xanax with a little Rose to relax from her stressful life. That’s how we roll in Suburbia.

Her choices are what led that child`s death even IF she did not kill her after birth which I seriously doubt.

Nope, that's being responsible and thinking about something other than themselves. Skylar turned 18 in March. Skylar didn't buy a baby blanket, a small pack of diapers, nothing for that baby. For everyone benefit, I happened upon a video of a Hoover institute(I'm not sure) but the method of interrogation is called the "Reid Method" . It is one of courses taught to law enforcement. There are a few other courses. I think everyone should be aware & make their families aware. I'm a big law & order person, but
I'm uncomfortable about taping & recording without notification of family or possible witnesses of a defendant of their legal rights. This was an interrogation textbook approach. It is alright by law to do a certain amount if lying to anyone who are possibly facing charges. The boundaries seem to be at times a .moving target. If we as a society want more rights for victims, We must clean up unfair procedures too. You must assume if you are in public, you have no rights to privacy. Too many angry people in the comments. It's amazing human behavior, never look for their own mistakes in live .....
This girl will live all her life with what happen to the baby. That's enough for punishment trough the rest of her existence.
Stop pointing the finger, and look deep inside your behaviors , judge your own mistakes.
    Live and let live.

So...I’m a little less than halfway in to the Dad’s testimony and, imho, all of this info seems irrelevant to this fact; DESPERATE PEOPLE DO DESPERATE THINGS. Period.

Why can he sit throughout the trial and not the mom? I assumed it was because she was going to be a witness.

do any of these family members/bf think, _if she kept everything quiet/ a secret, after her labor, what was she gonna do, just come & wake everybody up then, tell everyone then? why else would she hv been soo quiet.

That's exactly why they should find it obvious that she murdered the baby! What was her plan if the baby was alive then? She had no plan bc her only plan was to make sure the baby was *not* alive. Otherwise she would've told her parents at some point. Or when she saw the baby was not breathing, she would've gone to them for help or called 911! But no, she didn't do that. She decided to just bury it in the yard and go workout instead. The baby would've been am embarrassment for her mother and she knew it. The baby would've "ruined her life" and her "life would be over" if she had a baby, and she knew that bc that's what her mother told her when the doctor accidentally emailed her and said Skylar was pregnant.

Agreed. Said from day one no matter the end result is the same. I only hope that baby was stillborn and wasnt murdered at the hands of her mother. Because that's exactly what Skylar would have done if she didnt. But I digress.

They should be objecting to photos of the 'rainbows' showing other peoples children especially when she isnt even in the picture....how are they relevant. I would be livid if they showed my childs face on a televised court case that had nothing to do with her!

Wow she must have been so scared of those parents to such a degree that she is willing to bury her own innocent baby which was a human being who deserved better treatment than what she gave her just to keep the secret from her parents.

I haven't seen any comments on this so I'm wondering is it strange in America for an 18 year old girl to say Mummy instead of Mum?
