    Great video! I was waiting for someone to do this comparison. The Solo really really needs a battery indicator.

      Yes, or at the least a indicator it is charging and when fully charged. A simple LED wouldn't cost anything for them.

    I’m using the Ryobi 1 gal garden sprayer for my wheel cleaner. Using P&S brake buster full strength. It does just fine. The P&S Brake Buster is thicker than water.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  Год назад +1

      Brake Buster does well in all of these it is close in consistency to the Gtechniq. The Garden sprayers to have larger openings to help with thicker liquids. I have a one gallon and a 5 gallon and both work great.

    in your opinion, do you think the handheld ryobi could handle wd40? looking for a better option in the field for lubricant sprayer, always have battery tools on hand trying to utilize the versatile of electric tools.
    thanks

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  5 месяцев назад

      WD40 being a solvent I don’t think any of these would last very long. Most everybody I know that uses WD40 in bulk will use a sure shot or similar compressed air metal canister. Same you would use to spray bulk brake cleaner. Maybe a paint sprayer gun with metal tips and body might work if you have a bigger nozzle just have not tried that before. Most of them spray liquids with paint thinner and lacquer in them so it’s possible, but I would assume needs to be cleaned out every use so not very practical.

      @@CarsWithKeav Have you looked at or tried the bigger Ryobi sprayers that can hold 1-2 gallons of fluid? I've been looking at them as a budget alternative to the pricey units like the IK e12. The Ryobi 1 gallon with battery and charger can be had for $99. Seems like a great option if you don't need foam and lots of volume for something like a rinseless wash. Plug you can buy extra tanks for around $30 to have ready with other chemicals for auto detailing or home and garden use.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  10 месяцев назад +1

      Only for chemicals and water. Paint is too thick for it. There are also lots of one star reviews on these from consumers that thought they could spray paint.

    • @CarsWithKeav

  • @Vanhamj1

    great review. I wonder if you've ever thought about addressing the same issue using a Corny Keg sprayer instead of a battery operated bottle?

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  Год назад

      I will someday. I do have an IK sprayer with a Shrader valve that allows me to fill with air easier and it does well with the thicker liquids.

    • @Vanhamj1
      @Vanhamj1 Год назад

      @@CarsWithKeav I built a corny keg sprayer and I love it. My next evolution of it is to add a second tank tube that can allow me to spray or foam from the same tank. I actually plan to build a cart with 4 kegs and an air splitter so I can keep each tank charged to the optimal pressure. I currently use my tank for my ONR pre wash step, but I could see using a keg for products such as Iron Remover, Tar Remover, ONR, wheel cleaner, APC, or even soap if it was thin enough.
      Just a thought for you.

    I wonder if either of these Ryobi sprayers or the Ryobi battery garden sprayer can be modified to generate foam instead of just a spray. Still trying to find the perfect battery operated foamer so I don't have to keep pressurizing my iK sprayers.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  Год назад

      I'm looking for a good one. Not sure ones like these can as it requires a good bit of air pressure to create foam. Will have to try one of the battery ones that pumps air instead of pumping the liquid out. I use the IK Handheld foamer with the air compressor fitting for a foam bottle.

    • @coolwrld302
      @coolwrld302 Год назад

      @@CarsWithKeav Yea I have 2 of the big iK Foamers. 1 I put the air fitting on and the other came with the air fitting. Use one for my wheel cleaner and one for my car soap to foam the car if I don't feel like pulling out the pressure washer. The running back and forth to the garage to keep filling them from the compressor is the part I'm trying to solve for as it gets old quickly. I mean I have a small battery powered air compressor I can use on them just looking for a self contained solution.
