Hello Chelsea. Thanks for the nice comparison. Remember that Marolex sprayers have a button lock. You don't have to keep it all the time. just press it and move the lock forward. :)
Thanks for sharing. BTW as seen in other videos, IK Foamer also comes with 3 different spray patttern Nozzles i.e. Greay = Medium, Orange = Wet foram and Green = Dry Foam !!
A massive omission is the amount of pressure the Marolex can retain over the IK means you have a longer work time after pumping a bit longer, so you don’t have a lot of interrupted application.
@@matsudakodo exactly. The Marolex carries a lot more pressure, and also foams for longer. The Marolex could have been pumped up a lot more before hitting the pressure vent. Hence, omission.
@@BigCarKilla I get you, you're saying she didn't pump it to the max. I think these things with a Schrader valve are great. I have two coming soon from LM.

I noticed the top of the sprayer would “come apart” often. The draw straw in the unit will also come undone/detached every time I open the unit
I already have a compressor so I invested into the IK foam pro 12... I just use the Schrader valve. I can foa a whole car with power clean with one fill. Its soooooo worth it!
I am old and lazy. I put a tire valve in my sprayers and a small pressure Gauge. Use the compressor. LOL Well that’s what I did with my lawn sprayer and my brake bleeder. LOL
With the pump foamer, you're going to get a stronger solution compared to a foam cannon, in which it's being diluted more with water. Excellent comparison.
Not from my experience. I use an MTM Hydro foam cannon on my AR Blue Clean AR383 (modded to use quick connector accessories) and when i use just a few ounces of Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam and the rest filled with warm water, i get foam thats much thicker than that. Plus that bottle will coat the car 4-5x over.
*New Subscriber* That was great. Practical advice. Marolex looks very good, and as it's made up the road in Poland, I'll investigate buying those ones. Greetings from Prague. CZ
Hello, thank you for the video. I just purchased the same Marolex Foamer. I can't get mine to foam the way yours does though. Question, do all the foaming tips have what looks like a white piece of cotton in the back of the tips? Is that what creates the foaming action? What is the best shampoo for these type of sprayers? Thank you.
Thanks so much for doing this comparison! What dilution ratio did you use on your test? Did you use what's suggested on the bottle? I'm using Chemical Guys Snow Foam and I'm trying to figure out the right dilution to get a good foam with the Marolex.
Great comparison video, I have both foamers and get about the same results you did. The only thing and I may have missed you saying, is that the IK foamer has interchangeable tips as well. They have the one they ship with and two others to change foam density.
@@attention2detailswchelsea Yes they did. I have one of the originals and one of the 2.0's and both had a total of 3 tips. They change on the inside of the top. I think the IK's are good but I always have an issue when I realease the pressure after using them, the foam comes out at the trigger.
@@attention2detailswchelsea I don't know where you ordered from, but I got mine through the rag company. If you tell them, they may send them to you. Personally, I only use the one that it shipped with anyway. Everybody has their own preference, but for me, the one that comes with it is the best.
I've always used ik sprayers and honestly I've been disappointed. When you bleed the pressure after use it foams up and comes out if the handle since new and have 4 of them. It sucks getting chemicals all over the place every time I use it, plus I've had 2 of them get a sticky trigger even after a heavy cleaning and disassembly and reassembly. I'll be buying a different sprayer as they fail.
You're not comparing apples to apples if you don't use the same type internal spray tips provided by both sprayers. The external tip is not what dictates the foam density. The internal changable tips are what do this. Also the foam density will determine the how much pressure and liquid are used in a given time frame.
@@attention2detailswchelseaWould you sat the hand pumper’s quality equal to either a pressure- or hose-pump style? As a newbie and wanting to purchase only one, I’m wondering if the hand-pump style might be the best and simplest option, especially if I purchase an electric tire pump which I understand can be used on those styles having a Schrader valve? The best clean comes from the most foam?
I’m looking to buy a foaming pump sprayer as I don’t want to have to hook up my electric power washer or even a model that you need a garden hose for. I know that they won’t come close to matching the foam quality of a power washer model. I’m leaning towards the IK as I think I could buy it locally and return it easier if I don’t like it. Question. Can I use ordinary car wash soaps with it? Videos talk about products containing surfactants are needed. I’m hoping the car wash products I have would foam up properly.
I guess if you've used your car shampoo and seen that it will make suds in the bucket, then it will probably make foam ( which is just lots of tiny suds).
Great video and interesting. I bought the new IK Foamer Pro 2 this morning. Look forward to trying if for the first time. I like the comparison with Marolex which I think is a good sprayer too 😀
I have the Marolex foamer and sprayer. I love the sprayer, but the foamer just doesn't perform to my liking. After a few seconds, it just shoots a stream.
I think it depends on the situation and the cleaner. Sometimes for upholstery cleaning I prefer a fine mist when extracting and for plastics on interiors. Exteriors I find do well with foaming cleanings whereas interiors I prefer fine mist.
Chelsea, by chance (didn’t see) have you done one to compare the larger capacities iK20, against the Marolex Axel 7000? Wondering if hand pumping is worth it or if the iK20 or iKe20 (battery) with Schrader valve (and small electric tire pump) might be the way to go.
