La parodie est tellement drôle, je peux pas m'empêcher de rire, même si ça rit de nous!!! "Where the legal drinking age is just a suggestion"!!! Tellement vrai! (On a plus de fun au Québec de toute façon..)
I'm from BC, and we have absolutely no french influence over here. But I love how Quebec has preserved it's traditions. I dont get mad when I go into a Second Cup on St. Catherine's street and the cashier has no idea what I'm trying to order. I think it's great! So all I can say is, Quebec, keep doing what you're doing. Canada would not be the same without you, so please don't leave.
Since your post, sadly, and because we have remained in Canada, our distinctiveness is losing ground and disappearing fast in Montreal and in Laval. Of course, we are the only ones to blame... we should have left.
I am bilingual. My first language is french, but I speak english just as well as french, and I am proud of that. I am not a Quebecois, I live in Ontario in a very french community. Everyone has to stop being at each other's throats about languages. I speak english to the english and french to the french, and I have never found that either was smarter, or otherwise better than the other. I also know a lot of Quebecois who are not separatist and are very friendly people.
"English Canada is the true Canada and the Canada that's better for the world." I'm from Quebec, I consider myself a Canadian, and I find this highly offensive. I wish people could stop fighting about this and realize the fact that Canadian culture cannot be defined easily because of the diversity of the people is a GOOD THING. English Canadians that hate the French and Quebecors that hate the English are equally as stupid in my opinion. Thank you, that is all.
"JE M'APPELLE GUY, HAND HI HAM NOT CANADIAN. Mautadit tabarnac d'osti." Classic. Although it makes me wonder. Why do most Quebbers that speak mainly French always add an H where it doesn't need one, then forget it when it needs one? Like, "Ello, my name his Jean-François. Hi ham ha proud citizen hof Quebec, hand hi love to heat ot dogs and poutines." Seriously, I had trouble processing that. (I have not even exaggerated with this quote, it's that bad.)
i love this video! I'm american, but I've been going to Québec for short trips every summer for years now. This is such a funny representation of quebeckers, and I think in general they don't get enough love. Whoever made this video, please make more sketches with this character!!!!
We're all under the same umbrella in the end, we shouldn't seperate ourselves as minorities. I agree that French and French-Canadian culture should be protected, but we shouldn't see it as an "us vs them."
My dad had this recorded on a cassette tape in the early 2000s and I used to make him play this every time we were in the car. Still hilarious to this day
A nice laughing time. To be honest I've only passed a year of my life in Canada but will never forget it. Still today, and even if I'm moving pretty often, the Canadians remain my best memory of probably the most heart opened and welcoming peoples I ever met. Welcoming, open-minded and listening, but knowing how to defend themselves. A people obviously not perfect, but that should be exemplified on many subjects.
Who is this legend !?!?.. truth be told hes actually doing better job at explaining on how to NOT be canadian than Justin Trudeau ever did 😂😂👌 And thats the only thing Trudeau is good at.

The fact that many Canadians can speak both English and French put job seekers at a great advantage, especially if contracting around Europe. It's a little too cold for me, otherwise I would probably pay Canada a regular visit or even consider moving there. Rosanella :)

Sometimes I feel like there is too much franco/anglo tension in QC; however, there are always exceptions. It's confusing to us as the letter "H" is always mute in French. So knowing when to pronounce it or not is not obvious :)
It's called hypercorrection. You hear it in British accents that drop H sounds, too.
