After hearing Passing of George Carlin way back in 2008.
This guy became my second favourite "Reality" comedian
ruclips.net/video/_rnEMQD60MY/видео.html China thinks
I haven't really got into Carlin yet, but the clips I've seen are mindblowing and it made me truly think. Almost like he predicts the behaviours which are exposed today in society. Once I have a few free hours, I'll give him the time he obviously deserves.
I get that. A lot like George Carlin, never made the connection B4. And they are both great of course.
@@ryanwebb5082 george Carlin was just pointing out the obvious then... not predicting the future
George Carlin now knows that he was wrong about God.
I need a surgery I think, my diaphragm gave up. 🤣🤣🤣
What a tremendous way to present the Gospel.....! God has a wonderful sense of humor. He Does
You realize that was all satire, right?
God does have a wonderful sense of humour. That is where we get it from as we are made in his image and likeness
By the end of this Lecture
And it is a Lecture
That's brilliant
It's comedy but there's a big ounce of opinion. All for it
Love Ricky!!! Keep on keepin' on mate!!!
I like Ricky too and he also looks somewhat like actor, Ray Milland.
@Amanda , what's to love about him ? He's dragging you through the sewer. Don't you smell it on your skin ?
@@henkackermann9986 : The "sewer" comes from the bible, Henk. Thomas Paine said: "Whenever we read the obscene stories, the debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half of the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of wickedness than the word of a loving god. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind."

@@henkackermann9986 : Somehow I knew you would bring those people up. Yes, they were atheist and murdered people, because they wanted power. Now, let's discuss the christian wars, Henk.
1. The massacre in Rwanda, 800,000 dead in 100 days, mostly christians killing christians.
2. Two World Wars started by theists (Germany, Czarist Russia, Japan, Italy (90 million dead in 10 years).
3. Ten million killed in the 30-year-war (more christians killing christians).
4. The Lushon rebellion during the Tang Dynasty, 30 million deaths (not atheists).
5, The 100-year war, 3 million dead (yep, Jesus followers).
6. The wars in the Democratic Republic of Congo, 5 million dead in 6 years (again, christians).
7. 40 million dead in the Three Kingdom War in China (not atheists). 6 million dead in the Napoleonic wars (again, christians).
Do we really want to count numbers to see who murdered the most people, Henk? Both sides are guilty.
One of if not thee best comedians ever
Great comedy my friend.

"and God said let there be light and there was light. huh? isn't that brilliant?"
I see what you did there, cheeky ricky 😆
Love his facial expressions n casual , real n yet sarcastic n cynical fact points n delivery on his pieces. Outstanding, Bro 🕶️🤙 , 🏆
He should do the whole bible. Gets really good at the end.
GOD bless your soul
Whether is good or not depends on the choices you've made.
You mean The Book of Revelation?
Only so much one can set aside for fiction 😂 even if it’d be hilarious
I miss his maniacal laugh, but still very funny.
Near the end, with the gorillas, Ricky contemplates-- how often does something like that happen? And actually, there are three near identical stories. The Jambo story (1986) that he references is pretty much accurate except it was a 5 year old boy. It is possible he said 3 year old boy because in 1996, Brookfield zoo near Chicago, a 3 year old boy experienced near the same exact scenario with gorilla Binti Jua. Again in 2015 (I think), another 3 year old boy at a zoo in Cincinnati, nearly the same situation again, but they shot the gorilla because this time the gorilla was a bit more physical. That was the infamous Harambe story.

My favourite thing about bible is that god said "let there be light" and few verses later , he is like NOW let there be sun and moon and stars.
Now if we receive the light from the sun what happened the "light" from the beginning
Big Bang? Then a bit later sun etc

Ricky gervais is just amazing 😂😂
Ricky Gervais is the king of comedy
I was im the navy. Those dolphins realised what they were doing and stopped taking them.
Ricky Gervais is a true Renaissance man. Great actor, great comedian, and intelligent to boot! I gave up on god 1 ears ago and Mr. Gervais has helped me with that transition; along with Dawkins, Hitchens and others.

I love checking the comments and seeing a variety of people getting mad. It's beautiful!
But seriously, take a chill pill, laugh a little! How are you so sure that you're right when a comedian makes you insecure about your beliefs?
He doesn't makes us insecure about our beliefs. Those of us who are true believers anyway. But, if someone mocks one of your respected loved ones doesn't it make you angry? Indeed, I know that if he keeps up nonsense like this he'll get some attention he doesn't want if he hasn't already. I pray it is mercy because so many truly believe there is no God. God winks at certain degrees of ignorance. Doesn't mean it's ok. Those who think the Bible is hogwash should do some fact checks. There are some amazing ones to be seen.
Also, to be fair. I watched a bit farther and didn't really see that he was mocking. It was actually funny and true. Nothing wrong with what he said from what I could tell.
@@williammcleroy558 "Indeed, I know that if he keeps up nonsense like this he'll get some attention he doesn't want if he hasn't already."
That is the #1 reason I am an atheist. You religious nuts are far too violent and quick to anger, I say turn the other cheek.
@@krashd True Christians are not violent. Jesus never hurt anyone and helped everyone. That is what He calls us to be like. If you see someone doing otherwise they are not behaving as God intends.
That which makes the creation myth so successful lies in its simplicity. That's NOT to say that it's theoretically probable, it just means that it's easy to comprehend.
But Occam's razor is a philosophical view that states the simplest explanation is usually true. I see more of Gods creation now than I did watching Blue Planet - and that's just doing the school run.
@@curryandapint right, but it needs to not only be simple, but also fit observations. And no creation myth seems to get any of it right. Example, light being created before stars in genesis. No evidence of a global flood, but in fact evidence against it in the form of parallel civilizations thriving right through the flood as though it never happened. That is just one example of why flood myths are impossible as written.
Not as simple as the current creationist faith in "equality".
@@stewartminges In the bible the word translated in as earth can also be equally legitimately translated as land, country or region. There is good evidence for more than one catastrophic and vast Mesopotamian flooding. Also light predates the stars according to cosmologists.
@@peterwalton4165 please tell me you're joking. That light that predates the stars is the cosmic microwave background, something so redshifted we can't see it anymore. And the earth was supposed to exist before that, illuminated before the sun formed. Illuminated by I suppose microwaves according to your logic? How do multiple catastrophic floods that leave the culture intact compare to what the bible describes? At the very best the writers of the bible were deluded, at the worst they were blatantly lying. You wanna try to defend Exodus 21 next?
Love his ways of delivering comedy 😂
Such a clever man.
That's the way God created him.

@@lytnin88 There are thousands of disparate gods (and devoted and pious followers) across time and geography. To imagine you have any credible reason to recommend one over another (god or follower) is laughable.
@@freejulianassange537 Don't you think the Creator of the Universe wants to reveal Himself to His creation? Why would He want to keep us guessing?
@@lytnin88 My point exactly - the only commonalities among the thousands of gods are standard human questions and the only ones that remain are those yet unanswered by science..or those among the uneducated.
Religions have had all kinds of specific opinions until they got systematically debunked by scientific investigation. Now they comment on nebulous vagaries or are terribly specific about the mundane. I do hope their usefulness in inciting the plebs to war doesn't ensure their continued existence long after we should have outgrown them as a species.
