Honestly, as long as they are not advertised as official joycons, and as long as they are not advertised as having HD rumble or the IR sensor, these sound like a pretty good deal. It'd be nice to have a set of these to have as more "expendable" joycons, to put less wear on the regular ones.
Im hoping they dont as well.. so far 2 pairs of my Nintendo joycons and the pro controller have all drifted within 2 months.. but the knockoff pro controller I have is still perfectly fine after almost a year.... 😑 So if they dont drift then it's well worth the $35-40.. Much better than the $200+ I've spent on defective Nintendo brand controllers!
it isn't hard, it's just that the tiny sticks on the OG joycons use slider pads instead of full size potentiometers. moving the stick causes the contact surface of the slider pad to slowly get worn off and cause drifting. the psp has a similar stick and it has the exact same issue.
It’s because of money. Plain and simple. Back in the day, most companies made controllers to last, because they cared about the customers experience. While they still do now, they also have become greedy money lovers. So they purposefully make them less quality. So you have to spend more money. Scummy? Yes. But this is the world we live in now

No. When he took it apart there wasn’t an NFC reader, but if you’re using these as a player 2 controller or just don’t own any Amiibo at all it’s really not a big deal.
Considering that it's been impossible to find REAL joycon controllers as of late this might be a viable option for some. I'm personally hoping that Nintendo simply does a joy con revision to address the drifting issue which has shown up on both sets of my joycon in the near future.
I actually bought a pair of these because joy-con prices in my country are unreal ($90 or sometimes more!!).
