I second Folsom Prison Blues for sure! But also feel like if she wanted to see more of Adam Chance that I Can't Outrun You is an amazing display of his talent.
@@johonn Her point was that the lip synching "assignments" in a music video don't necessarily always match with the actual audio track. If you watch Elizabeth's "Inside 'Moana Medley' with Layne Stein" video from a few months ago you'll see them discuss an example of that.
Elizabeth *PLEASE* react to and analyze Home Free singing - *HELPLESSLY HOPING* - there is no beatboxing and Adam Rupp is harmonizing with the guys in true 5 part harmony. Elizabeth *PLEASE* do this, I think you'll really enjoy it
I think that Chance is the true secret weapon of Home Free. The others are appreciated for their various talents, but Chance's overtones are as good or better than Avi Kaplan's (and Avi is amazing!). He's the jaw harp in "Man of Constant Sorrow", the synth keyboard on the chorus of "End of the Road", and he's singing fast-fluttering tongue-twisters in "Can't Stop the Feeling!". He gets nowhere near enough love, because everyone else in the group gets more obviously amazing moments in which to shine (and perhaps because he replaced Adam Rupp's brother, Chris).
I feel that ever since chance joined the group they all together have became this unstoppable force. He really added something to the group and overall his voice melds seamlessly with all of them. Chance probably has become one of my favorite vocalists in recent times
That's why I think the group is stronger with Chance than they were with Chris. All Home Fries are forever indebted to Chris so never any shade there, but it helps to have a second bass so that Tim can show off these higher notes.

"There's something special about Tim and Chance." Well, yeah, just the fact that the bass is actually singing tenor this time because why not and the display of the baritone that he has a pretty low range as well. :D I love the confused look of people who know this group well enough and go like "wait... what?" when they hear Tim up there. It's still crazy to me, that Tim as a Basso Profundo is able to go that high. 5 octaves range is straight up cheating, haha.
@Aaron Anderson I don't think you have heard much of Tim's stuff, he has a 6 octave range- he goes to a B0, You can check out Honey I'm Good (there's some live videos that shows the camera vibrating due to the low notes) Your man (there's a couple of videos that show Tim breaking sound systems, one is Morrison IL 8/19/15, Folson Prison Blues and Butt's medley.
Tim is definitely not a Basso profundo. Only bass, or low bariton like Geoff. If you can sing some notes in the first octave doesn't mean that you're a basso profundo or even bass. It's about projecting those low notes.
One thing I appreciate about Chance’s low note was it was reminiscent of a ships fog horn, another signal associated with reaching out in a foggy situation.
You mentioned in the chat about reaching out to Home Free about the production- their longtime producer, Darren Rust, is also an acappella vocalist himself. He is one of the founders of The Blenders, a seminal acappella group that is vastly under-rated, and also sings contemporary Christian music as a solo artist. He owns and operates Skyland Studio and Skyland Productions, based in Minnesota which is where Rob and both the Rupp brothers hail from. Edit: in reading over this again, I should note that the Blenders are primarily but not exclusively acappella, particularly in their earlier years.
I’ve been a Blenders fan for 30 years. In 2019 I had to choose between The Blenders and Home Free for a Christmas concert. I chose The Blenders and I’m not regretting it at all.
This... Honestly might be the most technically advanced reaction I have ever seen on youtube to any piece of contemporary music. You talk about everything from the arrangement to the vocal tones of each singer in each section, you break down the singer's styles, both typical and what's interesting in this specific piece and you go as far as talking about the frequency range of things Rupp is doing... That... Is on a different level of analysis from ANYTHING I have seen on youtube. This song is fantastic from Home Free, but this might actually be the best reaction/analysis video I've come across in the range of reactions I've watched(even if don't we narrow it down to professional musicians) to any song I've watched. Keep up the amazing work!
Chance handled the bass line the full song....TIm sang tenor/harmony....Chances bass tone/timbre becomes more easily recognized compared to Tim's the more familiar you get with the group
I love Home Free's music, but Darren Rust is a god of production. His hand is everywhere in most of Home Free's songs, to the immense benefit of the total product.
@@DennisKovacich I am not sure that he contributed the actual sound, but the idea behind it! I could be wrong but everything is supposed to be done by the 5 Guys ONLY! I think that it is all Chance!
I agree with Doug here. Darren is amazing in production and arranging. His group, the Blenders, were one of the first to record extra tracks so Darren could sing the lead in “live” performances, while his recorded voice was doing all of the low notes. A group from Toronto called the “Nylons” used this technique also.
@@rogerwest603 Yes, Darren Rust is an acapella singer himself. He is a founding member of The Blenders. He sang that part and added it to the production in Snow Globe.
"Helplessly Hoping" ASAP!! Ear candy (but too short--kind of like Auld Lang Syne). For the holidays "Do You Hear What I Hear?" Arranged by Adam Rupp. (Spoiler alert: Vocal percussion magic.)
I became a home fry after listening to “Do You Hear What I Hear”. It is phenomenal! Adam Rupp is my favorite Home Free member. His range is incredible.
Thanks Elizabeth. I absolutely love how your reactions are always about helping us to appreciate the performances at a deeper level, pointing out specific techniques or subtle influences that we might miss. So many professionals that do reactions seem more concerned about impressing the audience with their knowledge, and the reaction becomes more about them than the performance they are reacting to. In contrast, you help us to appreciate the talent and the performance even more, and we fall in love with it all over again. It is also just so cool that your excitement and and joy are so incredibly contagious. Don't change a thing. You are also broadening our horizons into other genres that we may not normally seek out on our own. I must admit to being a bit of a vocal snob. So thanks for drawing me out of my cave.
I think people forget that Adam Chance sang the Bass for Street Corner Symphony, a group that was on the Sing off the same year as Home Free. His range is also very impressive.
Street Corner Symphony was on season 2 HF was season 4 the season no one was sure was going to happen and the season got chopped on their budget so a lot of things changed and Sony cheaped out by cutting the prise in half. Sorry easy mistake and I'm nerding out ..I'm an old fart
I thought this was awesome when I first heard it. Thank you for another wonderfullly informative reaction. I absolutley love watching your reactions to acapella groups. I have watched this video several hundred times and after watching you., I have learned so much more about it. I dont mind your pauses because they are so illuminating. I also love that you react to everyone in the group. Keep up the good work
Well, she was talking about the tenor parts singing countermelody to Austin's melody line. His voice, and his part, are unmistakable. Adam Rupp has a beautiful tenor voice too.
One other thing ... I'd bet anything that producer Darren Rust, and every member of Home Free, would talk with you about a recording session. They are all so humble and down to earth. Would be a great 'Live Chat'.
They all get recognition, every one of those Guys is Main act alone and when combined a Steamroller music machine grinding those Ear drums with mega awesome Music and sounds!
No need to apologize for stopping the track and going back... we're here not only to listen to it, but even more so to experience it with and learn from you, Elizabeth! :)
Elizabeth’s gifts are many and every reaction is a lesson but it’s striking how “focused” you are. you hear everything ! immediately react. I’m sooo impressed and love your channel...
Your technical perceptiveness and eloquence (and cute reactions) are why you’re so successful! Now, do Voiceplay’s “Carry On My Wayward Son”, please! ❤️🤞
They are all absolutely amazing. They've all taken turns being my favorite 😂 Tim has the most amazing bass voice. Tim and chance both have impressive ranges. Austin is just amazing and so much fun to watch. Rob, I've always said, has so much soul in his voice. And Adam is the most incredible beat boxer I've ever heard and he has a secret singing voice too.
Hi Elizabeth, I'm really glad that you were able to get back to Home Free. This is my first time listening to this song and each member was so talented and versatile. It was nice to hear them swap their vocal roles and they still managed to have an amazing performance. Thank you, Elizabeth!!! ❤
I've always thought Robs voice is so warm and comforting. Like you just wanna give him a hug! I'd highly recommend Helplessly Hoping for all of them harmonizing.
Actually, they have five in the group that sing tenor, counting Chance and Adam Rupp. Remember Adam taking a brief tenor lead in "How Great Thou Art", and Chance boasts a 4+ octave range.
TIM has the most BEAUTIFUL BASS and the MOST BEAUTIFUL TENOR VOICES I have ever heard! On top of that, he's just BEAUTIFUL ALL OVER!!! OH BY THEVWAY, digging the new short GRAY!!! YOU ROCK, TIM FOUST!!!
You keep saying that Home Free is "layering" their voices. They said in an interview that they DON'T layer or loop their voices in production, because they don't use those tools in their live performances either, and they want their live performances to match the videos. What you are hearing is just 5 guys singing. No extras. Maybe their voices are being enhanced in the studio somewhat to produce what you think you are hearing, but there are no extra tracks or layers.
There are some songs they do layer, but only when they bring out the looper in a live show. Man Of Constant Sorrow is one they definitely layer, so is Castle on the Hill. They only layer those since its really hard to keep some of the sounds in the two songs for 5 minutes straight.
@@Shadowsoken I've seen a RUclips of a live performance where they bring out the looper and explain it. However, what is amazing is that each member has done a little of everything. Austin has added some beat boxing style to songs (do you hear what I hear) and Tim covers Adams beat in the Butts Remix while Adam scratches. I've also seen a RUclips live performance where Tim blows a speaker system. The live recordings show what they can do but are not produced in high quality since they are usually caught on cell phone. Still fun though as you get more of a feel of the guys and their humor.
@@DyvmSlorm Here's a link to the video where they say they don't layer or loop. Maybe I heard it wrong, but I don't think I did. It was also 4 years ago, and they said they don't do those things...YET! So maybe their newer stuff has it. ruclips.net/video/WlOfCiv8M14/видео.html
@@dlcassame Great interview! This is from a year later (and Austin did say "yet") ruclips.net/video/fUrJkuSlg3A/видео.html This is Tim blowing the speaker system... ruclips.net/video/55SgfvoPoxc/видео.html
I don't know for sure but I've been told that they can't/don't do this one live because of the complexity in using the Looper. They have done Castle on the Hill to demonstrate how they use the Looper. The use of the Looper is relatively new and they use it sparingly as it affects the ability to perform a song live.
I definitely second this! Especially after what Elisabeth said about the maturity, or "lack" thereof, in Austin's voice, which I agree with at the point of Mayday being recorded, because it's so different now. 😁
Chance is an authentic bass singer. His tone is much softer than Tim's but if you listen to their covers of "I Can't Outrun You" or "Some Girls Do" you can get some clearer confirmation of this. Also, in their cover of "In The Blood" Chance sings almost all the bass line. Thanks for reviewing this. hj
@@boscotheman82 Well, he was the bass singer for Streetcorner Symphony and there are several songs that demonstrate that available on RUclips. Also, his work with Home Free amply demonstrates his ability to sing in the bass range. While he does not sing as low as Tim or Geoff or Avi etc. he qualifies as a bass singer.
We 'Home Fries' love the time you took to review their music and we appreciate your reactions. They are so amazing and talented and have worked hard for many years to get to where they are. I grew up on country music and as an adult I have disliked it until Home Free's music. It is not the music I don't care for, but the sound. Home Free has made me love country music once again. Thank you for your detailed review. I really enjoyed the joy on your face as you listened to them, that is how I feel too, quite giddy and joyful.
Five men singing a (n actually rather profound) song about love issues. Unless someone specifically told me, I would've never even considered listening to it. But alas, I must say, it would've been a real shame missing out on this song and these people. Slowly but surely working my way through the back catalogue of the channel reinforces my feeling that this place is just full of quality music! Thanks, Elizabeth, your ability to be open minded while having great taste in music, combined with excellence in the arts of sound, topped with sincere, genuine expression totally astonishes me. And that was not even meant as a compliment. The fact that the dope audience of the channel also make tons of great, otherwise hard to find gems is total win. Keep it up, nerd(s)! :D
Honestly, I cannot get over how amazing this group is. Two of its members are some of the absolute best in its craft. Basses and beatboxers all over the world look at Tim and Rupp as their idols. People forget or dont realize how amazing these two are. Austins high tenor is amazing and só recognizable. Rob's warmth and depth, in combination with Austin, makes any song so typically home free. And Chance, I am so happy he joined the group. I think he has one of the most beautiful voices in acapella. Now I absolutely loved the way you analysed this. I am in no way an expert or even an intermediate in singing and everything you told was so cool to learn. I now too am so curious how they make their production. Thank you so much!
This is possibly my favorite song home free has done, love to see that you are giving Adam Rupp some love. Most reactions get stuck with Tim singing the high part, but the beat boxing in this is spectacular! Great reactin as always Elizabeth =D
I so enjoyed the enthusiasm and appreciation you have for the performance while also explaining and educating the more technical aspects of the singing. Even though I have listened to this song probably two hundred times I still learned more with your interpretation of it so thank you so much!
Helplessly Hoping will melt your heart. They are so in sync. One of the best songs they have covered. One of their best original songs is Catch Me if You Can. Amazing vocals and percussion
Your highlighting Tim's stepping aside for this song is so fitting. I wonder if you didn't miss this whole symbolic gesture on Tim's part to allow Chance to take the whole bass part of the song just so he is in the spotlight. I often think that they pass the 'lead' around seamlessly and without 'hogging' the spotlight by anyone over the others. I think they simply decided to allow Chance the spotlight and Tim chose the other end of the spectrum to make it even more obvious.
A group of "all-star" voices. Amazingly shockingly continuously recombined. The arrangements and audio work are beyond comparison and make their videos a standard that can only be aspired to.
Wonderful reaction, as usual. Thank you. They all shine on the cover of "American Pie" with Don McLean, and Austin kills it in the new release of "When a man loves a woman". They all sound great on the cover of "In the blood".
I don’t remember if it was Tim Foust or Geoff Castellucci, but I read that one of them was looking forward to being a tenor when he grew up, until puberty said, “Oh, no you don’t,” to which he replied, “Oh, yeah? Just watch me!”
This is the best review and reaction of this video that I have seen! I thoroughly enjoyed it! I have never studied music theory in depth, but I was in A Capella Choir in high school. I also took piano lessons a couple of times, but your commentary and the way you explain the elements is the music is very informative! I also love your enthusiasm for the talent in this group! I concur with some others subs on their recommendation for you to react to their Crosby, Stills, & Nash cover of “Helplessly Hoping”!
I've been waiting for you to hear this one. You should definitely add these home free covers to your list: Folsom Prison Blues and American Pie (Ft Don McLean)
Your reactions floor me, you have taught me a completely different way to listen to music. I am not musically inclined at all, but I love good music and I enjoy it so much more since I started watching your reactions. I love the way you absolutely feel every note and nuance. Great job.
I knew I had to watch your breakdown of this. This is an incredible work and I needed to hear the analysis of what the heck Tim was doing and I loved Adam's work on the cymbal noises. I'm a drummer and I've seen his drum solo, and he is just impossibly amazing.

@@TheCharismaticVoice regarding your question about whether Tim was doing the bass or if Adam Chance had taken it over, I think it's pretty obvious from the end of the video when they had that shot of Tim leaning against the cage with his arms crossed and a grumpy look on his face that chance is taking over the bass. LOL I really enjoy watching your reactions thanks for being there
Your enjoyment and appreciation of the work on both a technical and an artistic level is obvious and genuine. I thoroughly enjoyed your enjoyment of this work.
I appreciate that you give each their due. Every member is seriously talented and the full range is available. No holes in there. I like that you really get excited over Adam Rupp's vocal percussion. As amazing as Tim's bass is or Austin's tenor is, there is no just one standout when you listen across their music. Serious credit to whoever does the arrangements and to the engineer. There is a real skill required to fully capture all the subtle parts of the group to really bring it all out.
This song perfectly represents one of the things that I like best about Home Free, as soon as you think you have them figured out on what they can do, they are going to prove you wrong and release something that you would think is beyond what they are capable of creating.
I love Home Free… I actually performed with these guys at my High School with my choir group… these gentlemen are a Fantastic A cappella group!! If I ever get to meet them again, I would thank them for the glorious opportunity that they gave us to perform with them.
So impressed by your vocal analysis. Your advanced knowledge of music, music theory, instruments, and production is fantastic. Talking about being vocally astute.......just unbelievable, really........what sounds every member of Home Free is capable of producing. I cannot even believe you can break down all of the sounds and how they are produced. Stunning.
Adam Chance is a bass singer in his last group. But he sings baritone for Home Free and covers bass when Tim sings leads. Great reaction for this song.
CAM is both Beautiful and talented with a beautiful vocal ability as well ..... her version is that of A SINGLE, female voice with studio effect and added tracks to make a full sound .... it is great. Just how it is ..... and how it is ----- IS WONDERFUL !!! GBjj
Yes, I was really hoping you would react to Mayday! My absolute favorite song of theirs, can't get enough of it. They all shine in their own way, it's catchy, and the harmonies are to die for...
Loved this breakdown. I love this arrangement because of that syncopated, anxious build that tells you the song wants to go somewhere, then it starts marching forward on the bridge portion where the beat changes. It’s so neat how their covers tell a story within a story that musicians can appreciate.
Home Free during various live events or VIP sessions has offered insight. Chance sang the entire produced bass line for this song (and sings it live as well when they perform it). They needed 3 tenor voices to sing the arrangement & Tim can sing higher than anyone but Austin in the group, so not only did he sing the starting lead, but tenor harmony throughout.

Love the Blenders too. Aunt Sue!!
Skyland Studio
I’ve been a Blenders fan for 30 years. In 2019 I had to choose between The Blenders and Home Free for a Christmas concert. I chose The Blenders and I’m not regretting it at all.
@@importedice Ant Soup!
Darren is AMAZING..... haved loved working with him and the Blenders... Darren Rocks... MN PROUD!!
The producers are always so overlooked.
There’s a “bass guitar” riff “bow bow bow bow” at the end of each chorus in “Snow Globe” that was apparently contributed by Darren.
It is almost illegal to have THAT much talent and versatility with 5 ppl
it gets even more versatile...listen to the live performance ruclips.net/video/dAuHwCq-VoI/видео.html
As much as I love Tim doing a tenor part and Austin singing the high notes, I love Chance's part. Really beautiful bass notes
"Helplessly Hoping" ASAP!! Ear candy (but too short--kind of like Auld Lang Syne). For the holidays "Do You Hear What I Hear?" Arranged by Adam Rupp. (Spoiler alert: Vocal percussion magic.)
Not to mention that 5-octave run Tim throws in...
I became a home fry after listening to “Do You Hear What I Hear”. It is phenomenal! Adam Rupp is my favorite Home Free member. His range is incredible.
I agree, she REALLY needs to do that one!!!
Looking forward to this - would be great to follow up with When a Man Loves a Woman (in which Austin is outstanding).
Yes! Austin kills it!
This cover is as good or even better than the original
To me it’s better. I can’t do the original cut doesn’t have the right feel for me.
Agreed
I thought this was awesome when I first heard it. Thank you for another wonderfullly informative reaction. I absolutley love watching your reactions to acapella groups. I have watched this video several hundred times and after watching you., I have learned so much more about it. I dont mind your pauses because they are so illuminating. I also love that you react to everyone in the group. Keep up the good work
It's Better! 😁😁😁😁😁
i listen to this over the original every time
Maybe the Sixteen Tons cover by Geoff Castellucci next? This man has incredibly deep voice.
My grandfather was Tennessee Ernie Ford's ranch manager in Clearlake, CA. I love Tennesee's voice.
Yes, it must be the next
I’d vote for high and dry or blackbird. 16 tons is good but doesn’t show of his low of the low as well as those two
It’s is awesome. So is his latest cover of Country Road! His low notes are unbelievable!
I think she already did that one
So need to do a reaction to Home Free with the Oakridge Boys singing Elvira arranged by Voiceplay
just want to second this
Arranged By Geoff from Voiceplay not all of Voiceplay.
The harmonizing tenors at the end were Rob and *Tim*...
I thought that too. His mouth is making those words, so it stands to reason Tim's contributing to that line. Plus, it sounds like him.
Plus, Austin is still singing “Mayday” between those lines.
Yes!!! They have chatted with other reactors- go for it, Elizabeth!
Adam Rupp needs to be given more recognition. He contributes more than most realize as does Adam Chance.
Agreed!
Ah... thank you!
Been waiting for this one awhile. It was a pleasant surprise when I first heard it.
I like to call this the "three tenors" version of Home Free. Each artist is versatile, together they seem like they can do anything, extremely well.
Actually, they have five in the group that sing tenor, counting Chance and Adam Rupp. Remember Adam taking a brief tenor lead in "How Great Thou Art", and Chance boasts a 4+ octave range.
just wait till she makes those cute giggles and her face
well you got alot of them here :)
Oh my
😏
This is from a year later (and Austin did say "yet") ruclips.net/video/fUrJkuSlg3A/видео.html

I don't know for sure but I've been told that they can't/don't do this one live because of the complexity in using the Looper. They have done Castle on the Hill to demonstrate how they use the Looper. The use of the Looper is relatively new and they use it sparingly as it affects the ability to perform a song live.
Thank you for exploring more of the Hom Free "Rabbit Hole." Your observations, and expressions are amazing. Hi from Florida.
When a Man Loves a Woman really deserves to be next...
I definitely second this! Especially after what Elisabeth said about the maturity, or "lack" thereof, in Austin's voice, which I agree with at the point of Mayday being recorded, because it's so different now. 😁
Yes, a must!!!
Chance is an authentic bass singer. His tone is much softer than Tim's but if you listen to their covers of "I Can't Outrun You" or "Some Girls Do" you can get some clearer confirmation of this. Also, in their cover of "In The Blood" Chance sings almost all the bass line. Thanks for reviewing this. hj
pretty sure Adam Chance is a baritone
@@boscotheman82 Well, he was the bass singer for Streetcorner Symphony and there are several songs that demonstrate that available on RUclips. Also, his work with Home Free amply demonstrates his ability to sing in the bass range. While he does not sing as low as Tim or Geoff or Avi etc. he qualifies as a bass singer.
30 years as a musician and I learn something new every time I watch one of your analysis. Thank you for doing what you do.
I love Rob´s voice
We 'Home Fries' love the time you took to review their music and we appreciate your reactions. They are so amazing and talented and have worked hard for many years to get to where they are. I grew up on country music and as an adult I have disliked it until Home Free's music. It is not the music I don't care for, but the sound. Home Free has made me love country music once again. Thank you for your detailed review. I really enjoyed the joy on your face as you listened to them, that is how I feel too, quite giddy and joyful.
Each of the members individually incredible .. Added together the way they are and they are just off the charts!
This is my favourite of theirs! My other favourite is "End of the Road" it really shows off Rob's voice! Would love a reaction of this from you ❤🤯
When your bass says he wants to be a tenor today 🤣
Few people have as physical a reaction to voices as you do and I love it. It's extremely genuine and very endearing.
I too loved the Don McLean and Home Free of version of "American Pie" and I love the original too! I so wish she would do a reaction video of it.
Rob has one of the most beautiful warm tenor voices I have ever heard. Just beautiful.
In an interview Tim says he studied Tenor which help his lower end over time. Tim is just awesome!
I don’t remember if it was Tim Foust or Geoff Castellucci, but I read that one of them was looking forward to being a tenor when he grew up, until puberty said, “Oh, no you don’t,” to which he replied, “Oh, yeah? Just watch me!”
@@DennisKovacich I know that Geoff originally wanted to be a rock tenor, if that's what you're thinking of
@@trevors3908, that may be it.
Tim has also said that he works really hard to keep his upper range.
After they do a cover....it becomes my favorite version.
So happy you did another Home free. And this is a so great song. And love your analysis, make me appreciate the music much more. Thank you.
I've been waiting for you to hear this one. You should definitely add these home free covers to your list: Folsom Prison Blues and American Pie (Ft Don McLean)
This just proves how amazing these guys really are , the fact that they can swap vocal parts is awesome

I love your insight into music that I enjoy. I learn a lot. I also think you have amazing talent as a vocalist. Watching your channel has been one of the highlights of my last year. I can’t help but smile while watching you have fun.
Thank you for the support!
I would love to see your reaction to Helplessly Hoping
I love how each individual person has a moment of brooding introspection. It really adds to the atmosphere of desperation.
Next one voiceplay bang!! Please react to this you'll be absolutely amazed
I love Home Free… I actually performed with these guys at my High School with my choir group… these gentlemen are a Fantastic A cappella group!!
If I ever get to meet them again, I would thank them for the glorious opportunity that they gave us to perform with them.
That B1 is fun. I'm vocalizing it myself while watching this, and now I'm tempted to try the doubling and FX in my studio.
Keep inspiring us.
So impressed by your vocal analysis. Your advanced knowledge of music, music theory, instruments, and production is fantastic. Some folks are fun to watch react, but you are fun to see how your reaction leads to advanced knowledge. You don't only enjoy the song, you enjoy each and every element of it. I feel smarter about music after listening to you, and I have been studying and immersed in music since I was a toddler. It is just fantastic to have someone go a little bit deeper, who so values and loves music to the depths you do. Thank you. 😊😊
That drum fill at around 12:30- was simply bad ass!
Something special about every singer in this group. They are all wonderful vocalists with no gimmicks.
In a couple of the live phone captures, you can see Adam Rupp working a looper in some of the pieces. It wouldn't surprise me if a couple of the backing tracks get looped live as well. The ability to time a looper is another mad skill I'm in awe of.
I absolutely love your reactions and analyses because you have so much enthusiastic knowledge and expertise that you share with us. The depth you bring to your analysis is very much appreciated!
The Charismatic Voice is the most knowledgeable, delightful, and hottest female on the Internet doing reviews. The times she pauses to explain things elicits insights that few if any other reviewer seems able to bring forth. This was a world-class review of a world-class acapella group. Bravo!

YES!!! 👍👍
Check out when Adam Chance goes low, and Tim doesn't 😁
Talking about being vocally astute.......just unbelievable, really........what sounds every member of Home Free is capable of producing. I cannot even believe you can break down all of the sounds and how they are produced. Stunning.
Adam Chance is a bass singer in his last group. But he sings baritone for Home Free and covers bass when Tim sings leads. Great reaction for this song.
CAM is both Beautiful and talented with a beautiful vocal ability as well ..... her version is that of A SINGLE, female voice with studio effect and added tracks to make a full sound .... it is great. She is not going to hold her own when compared to a group of PHENOMENAL VOCALISTS = Two Bass/Baritone/Low Tenor singers - Tim Foust, Adam Chance three registers ability, a smooth as silk Mid Tenor in Rob Lundquist, the high and migh Tenor great voic of Austin Brown & and low tenor who forsakes his melodic talent for BEAT BOXING, Harmonica sounds etc ..... and a confluence of harmony that blows you away. Just how it is ..... and how it is ----- IS WONDERFUL !!! GBjj
"Seven Bridges Road" Outdoing the Eagles is quite a feat, but the Home Free boys do it!
Yes, I was really hoping you would react to Mayday! My absolute favorite song of theirs, can't get enough of it. They all shine in their own way, it's catchy, and the harmonies are to die for...
One of the most amazing things about this song is that it's sang in the same key as the original.
I'm so happy I'm not the only person who will replay someone singing one note over and over!
I think if you look up the word VERSATILE in the dictionary, there's picture of HOME FREE!

Wonderful reaction!! Love to hear you break down what is happening and what you pick up from the group as they sing.

Great reaction to one of my favorites by Home Free. It was definitely strange to see Tim not singing bass at all!
