    "The more cards you have, the longer the cool down"
    Unless you're Margaret. She has 8 cards but the cool down of someone with 4.

    Also another thing to note about the persona cards is that hitting the characters either hit or block while their persona is out/on the screen also breaks their persona for free, so if you're playing against someone who's throwing out their persona all willy-nilly you'll probably end up breaking it anyways

      Hey, don't worry about it too much. Especially since you don't need to do 623 motions, (or Dragon Punch inputs, if you're not familiar with the numberpad system) the game is mostly learning the neutral and figuring out what moves are safe, and what not before getting into big brain combos.
      Try not to sweat it too much, and welcome to the club. Who do you main, or usually play as?

      People who played melee took a long time until they developed hand issues handling that weird ass gamecube controller. And p4au doesn't have that much crazy apm. Just more about gimmicks and knowledge checks.

      @@renariin J.C is your best friend for approaching and 5B is great for poking defense. 236B B is great for chucking opponents back into corners, and inflicting fear is a big thing to look into. Just don't get cocky, and remember the limitations of M.Izanagi. Great reach, slow recovery.
      Also, if someone is zoning you out and you want to approach, 5D is great if you block attacks in front of M.Izanagi while he charges.
      He's really fun to play, but I don't really main him per say, I'm leaning more into learning Ken and Junpei.

    Tip 7 (optional): if you feel bad about how shit you are at the game and are getting upset about losing to CPU's, go to your options and set the difficulty to safe as it's description "a difficulty anyone can play" making you feel like your doing something when your just easy combo spamming.

    My big concern is the inputs. Are they hard to do? If it helps any, I used to play smash bros, but wanna get into an actual fighting game. Alot of this is very jarring though and I'm worried of wasting my money if I buy the game but can't play due to the inputs

    • @MacSplicer
      @MacSplicer  2 года назад +5

      I find he inputs to be pretty simple, there are some characters that require more strict execution, but plenty of beginner friendly ones as well. One thing that I do think can be a bit jarring for newcomers to this game is the system as there are many moving parts, and mechanics that you'll have to get used to, but with time, I'm sure anyone can pick it up.

    Question?
    Which FGC Veterans or Pros of P4 A. Ultimax would you recommend to watch in order to have extra Analysis or Research of the Character(s) that newcomers may want to play?
    For me the only ones that come in my Mind are:
    Arguro
    Jiyuna
    LordKnight
    Grover
    Moopoke
    (Maybe you know more...)

    • @MacSplicer
      @MacSplicer  2 года назад +5

      Those picks are good, however, I think if you really want to learn a character at high level I'd recommend some of these:
      Narukami - Shikki
      Aigis - Koichi
      Naoto - Waka
      Labrys - Purepure
      Akihiko - Musui
      Sho - Okusan
      Yukiko - Oogi

      Yeah, for being an anime fighter there's not too much bullcrap happening on the screen so you can easily follow the action, it enphasises foundamentals but also combo damage delivery, training and combo mode are well designed and shoto characters are high tier
