Another thing to note: once Shadow Frenzy is popped, your combos are entirely unburstable, even just your normals and specials, so there's 100% no reason not to go for your highest damage combo if you've activated it.
@@zanyunknown2564 No, every shadow character gets 1000 life, with S.Akihiko and S.Kanji getting 500 hp. They're still really strong, they just don't get as much health as they used to for balancing reasons. Especially after the new buffs they got.
Funny enough she had the double super taken away so she can't set you to zero from 13 fate anymore! The opponent can tech immediately after getting hit by the second super
@@jouheikisaragi6075 Yeah she also runs out of meter if you try to do two anyway, so you wouldn't even get the Hamaon/Mudoon mixup even if the double super still worked. I'm glad she had some bs taken away cause Shadows are already hilariously powerful.
I need to test out Shadow Kanji... I have no idea which one is better. I NEVER used shadow Kanji at all on ps3. dunno if I was missing out or what when I think about it now.
He is a bit more difficult, and he doesn't get the kind of reward that other shadow characters can get off frenzy (Mitsuru can get around 7k off a simple 5a combo, Kanji gets around 5.5k). Also his auto combo is terrible, and he still struggles against midrange characters. But he gets good damage off frenzy (not great but good, 8k with a fatal counter), and he has flexibility with meter, especially considering he can use awakening super grab at 50sp. Also during frenzy he has amazing corner combos due to not having to charge primal force as long. If you never tried him during the ps3 days then give him a shot.
@@bazookabadger7936 ahh thanks for that breakdown. yeah I remember his autocombo not being the best. I'll have to head in to training and get some practice in.
It’s just set dressing for video game logic. A shadow would already have access to the persona’s abilities as well as being able to transform. So it wouldn’t be wild for the fakes to summon their other self, so to speak.
@@joshgroban5291an extra to that, both Metis and Teddie are shadows but they still have their own Persona, so a shadow whit a Persona is not a thing that wasn't seen before Arena.
Lol sorry it was to keep them from saying voice lines every few seconds. I could have just crouched as well. But I know other hate stationary screens for more than like 20 secs
Personally, I just love the shadow’s alternate win animations lmao
I may or may not have traumatized my friends back in college with Shadow Kanji 😅

Think about the shadow teddie one if he was austrian...

Good timing. I been thinking of picking up S. Junpei since I mained regular Junpei the first time around.
HP increase is only 1,000 now. Not 2,000.
Oh did that change as well? Noted!

Thinking about playing Shadow Rise but I’ve been loving Margaret as someone who wasn’t able to play her back in the day.
I play shadow yosuke because being able to use sukukaja basically whenever is too good

You know Ive seen like everyone bashing on shadows but unless a bit has changed I dont see why Ive seen some crazy bs be pulled off with shadows
So showdown frenzy seems really similar to King Of Fighters Max mode.
One thing I was confused about lore wise is how do the shadow characters use a persona aren't the shadows themselves the persona?
These ones are fakes.
@@seanr.6498 I know that but a persona has to be accepted as a shadow to become the persona so it still doesn't make sense
