cops: traffic stops are so inherently dangerous we have authority to pull driver & passengers out of the vehicle on every stop, willingly or not. It's officer safety. Also cops: If you have a single light bulb blown out, we're going to stop you.
You ARE NOT required to I.D. as a passenger UNLESS you are a participant in a witnessed crime or legitimately suspected of having an outstanding warrant.
Pre 9/11 in America, for the most part, there were more good officers than bad. POST 9/11 brought a whole different animal. It's not even considered 'backing down' as much as it's the officer's knowledge and recognition of citizens rights. These cops today are doing anything they can to get every citizens names in their computers. I hope everyone in this video stays safe.
Never allow these tyrants to seize your personal identifying information. All they want to do is enter your name in a database in hopes of finding a reason to take your liberty.
This has been a normal thing for decades that Cops ask passenger’s for ID. It became second nature until now that we are educating ourselves on our rights and we film our encounters. Record every encounter no matter what people!

Although, why continue to reiterate your answer and antagonize? He specifically is trying to provoke a reaction by continuing a dialogue that had already run its course. Just seems like shallow content and the guy is trying to show off like he won a battle that the cop wasn't fighting 😂
Yep, everyone always has something to prove against cops but it dilutes the message when they start problems with cops that aren’t even engaging. Had he just said no and left it at that it would’ve ended there
Police say they conduct traffic stops for Tag/Turn/Brake/Head lights out in the interest of safety. When the driver questions the issue, they refuse to let the driver exit to see the burned-out light, usually because it’s a lie. But they don’t simply write a citation and send the driver along. They escalate the stop by demanding or forcing the driver out of the vehicle, under the pretense of officer safety, a pretext to intimidate for a vehicle search. These days the persons at risk are the drivers as the police routinely use any accusation from driver’s verbal abuse, to recording the police to escalate, using excessive force and violence to make an arrest. Since there’s an officer safety risk, and a citizen/driver safety risk, why don’t we simply eliminate the Tag/Turn/Brake/Head lights out traffic stop? I propose changes to the vehicle citation laws, to protect citizens and ensure officer safety. I think we should demand our state legislatures to change the law. Starting NOW, when police see a tag light, headlight, turn signal or brake light out, they can look up the tag registration and send a letter informing the vehicle owner to get it fixed. After all the burden for repair is on the owner, not the driver. Safer for everyone and cops can go back to the donut shop.
Cop: I don't have a problem you're the one asking all these questions! Citizen: I don't answer questions Cop: clearly has a problem asking all these questions that you don't answer 😂😂😂
I would say this cop is okay. There is no need to get his ID, but he does have every right to ask. Its those to demand ID under the threat of arrest that need to be reprimanded.
Repeat after me: I assert my 5th Amendment right and will no answer ANY question. I do not consent to a search. Are you detaining me? Am I free to go? Repeat as needed until the cop gets bored or realizes you know your RIGHTS as a citizen.
Cop was very fair about it actually...he asked and when the dude finally stated he doesn't want to the cop moved on. Seems one of the better encounters in my book

Anytime any cop asks any question just be cordial and remember your manners to tell the politely "NO THANK YOU!" & Just keep repeating every question for passengers & The Driver should know what time it is and should have the documentz ready so you can say "NO THANK YOU!" & "AM I STILL BEING DETAINED OR AM I FREE TO GO?" Untill there gone Because they don't have anything on anyone if everyone doesnt give them any nervous indicators or attitude to escalate nothing into something by saying anything incriminating or acting some type of way so just say those 2 lines and that's it nothing more then to rinse and repeate as needed. ❤
"Nervous indicators" and attitude is all BS. THAT'S
That's not PC. "Attitude" is freedom of speech and expression.
And WHY are you talking to them through the passenger window? LOCK YOUR DOORS AND RAISE ALL YOUR WINDOWS!! When these people show up, YOUR LIFE IS LITERALLY IN DANGER!!
And install bullet proof glass 😊
I have NEVER had a cop ask any passengers for identification, until recently, they seem to intentionally turn traffic stops into a police state type of situation where they are monitoring everyone's identity!
Why, specifically, do you need a passenger's ID to cite the driver for a broken tail light? Either write the damn ticket or let them go!!!
It's called fishing for more revenue.
Its so the know who they are dealing with. Be a real shame if the passenger was wanted for a violent crime huh
At least the cop backed off.
He backed off because he realized he was being filmed
You are right about that. That's why we should all record the police.
@SgtMclupus yeah that wasn't it, the guy chopped the vid to make it look worse on the cops. Yes he asked and then he backed off, the guy keeps interacting and being a dick
@@SgtMclupus yeah also being filmed by his own body camera moron
Cause he knew he was recording
The key is "your not even from this city " thanks for teaching what we need to be prepared for.
These tyrants are giving him a hassle over a broken tail light. That should not be a reason to pull you over they do that to target people who are more likely in poverty hoping to arrest them
cops: traffic stops are so inherently dangerous we have authority to pull driver & passengers out of the vehicle on every stop, willingly or not. It's officer safety.
Also cops: If you have a single light bulb blown out, we're going to stop you.
@@michaelbeasly1732If one is that big of a coward then perhaps they should find another occupation. I do agree that being a thief can be dangerous.
You ARE NOT required to I.D. as a passenger UNLESS you are a participant in a witnessed crime or legitimately suspected of having an outstanding warrant.
Passengers aren’t required to ID themselves because the car’s taillights aren’t working. It’s a traffic stop.
He has a history of dealing with the cops
Pre 9/11 in America, for the most part, there were more good officers than bad. POST 9/11 brought a whole different animal. I give this officer some respect for backing down and recognizing the passenger's rights. It's not even considered 'backing down' as much as it's the officer's knowledge and recognition of citizens rights. I think the guys in the car did a great job at sounding smart rather than argumentative. This Officer is a minority amongst his peers. We need more Officers like him. These cops today are doing anything they can to get every citizens names in their computers. I hope everyone in this video stays safe.
Don't negotiate or debate your rights. Don't tell the cops you don't feel like you need to comply just tell them you flat out won't.
Never allow these tyrants to seize your personal identifying information. All they want to do is enter your name in a database in hopes of finding a reason to take your liberty.
This has been a normal thing for decades that Cops ask passenger’s for
ID. It became second nature until now that we are educating ourselves on our rights and we film our encounters. Record every encounter no matter what people!
Gaslighting 101: Ask/demand something and then pretend you never did or act like it's no longer a big deal.
This type of policing doesn't belong in this country. Not ever
This type of policing is actually exactly consistent with the framework of the constitution and the history of SCOTUS case law. A cop who doesn't even try to investigate those they have stopped is lazy and a waste of taxpayer money
@@HoldenHiscock69100% wrong on that one.
@@HoldenHiscock69 You sure are a dull knife aren't ye? You don't even know the law of the land
@@dephraction_99 I think I’m more than qualified to speak on the law of the land actually
@@HoldenHiscock69 No no no, I'm talking the LAW of the land. not your BS Maritime admiralty law nonsense
Officer is clearly unstable. Can’t even recognize that he’s asked an innocent bystander for identification multiple times even though he had no right to ask once. Capital punishment, even for minor offenses, would stop the corruption
Cop has every right to ask. Guy refused, cop didnt make him give ID. Also, passengers on stops are not "innocent bystanders."
@@HoldenHiscock69yes they are the stop is between the driver and the idiot cop.
@@HoldenHiscock69actually they are innocent
@@pain_weaver not true at all. So untrue that passengers are not free to leave traffic stops and can be forcibly detained by police if they try to leave, and passengers must obey commands to exit or remain inside a car. Passengers are just as much a threat to officers on a stop as the driver
@@HoldenHiscock69 lmfao 🤣 your delusional. Passengers are free to leave at any time in fact there is case law on it. As well as case law on Passengers not needing to identify. Sorry but your brainwashing has been a success
The absolute state of that cop. 😂
Indeed: fat, dorky haircut, stupid tactical glasses with a useless amount of tint for blocking the sun, idiot tyrant attitude and lack of consistent logic. Standard.
I'm whit but got pulled over for driving while black because of the neighborhood I was in. The second the cop approached my window and saw I was white, he apologized and turned around. He refused to tell me why he pulled me over and left.
It was a night and he couldn't see my race from behind.
Lol ok..
Or.... or.... hear me out here. They were actively looking for someone driving the same color and make of your vehicle, saw it wasn't you and left so they could continue looking....
@@samuelrobinson1049Lol ok..
They are looking for the ID cookie so they can get the warrant cookie
Just fishing for outstanding warrants.
You’re the one that keeps bringing it up 😮😆🤣 the projection is strong with this one. And was he guessing it was because of a busted taillight? Sure did go up in tone at the dnd of taillight like he was guessing.
To be a policeman is to be a liar.
When you know your rights, they get shook.
That's some next level gaslighting by this deceitful cop
I don't see a problem. Cop asked, which is his job, and received immediate refusal from the passenger. Good job.👍 that's what you're supposed to do on the part of both parties.
Although, why continue to reiterate your answer and antagonize? He specifically is trying to provoke a reaction by continuing a dialogue that had already run its course. Just seems like shallow content and the guy is trying to show off like he won a battle that the cop wasn't fighting 😂
BETA males with Badges ain’t Sh;t, never had anyone pay attention to their sorry As$ until now!
Yep, everyone always has something to prove against cops but it dilutes the message when they start problems with cops that aren’t even engaging. Had he just said no and left it at that it would’ve ended there
There was an element of this in this video for sure, borderline cringe. Auditors and civilians in general lose all cred when they goad like this
Police say they conduct traffic stops for Tag/Turn/Brake/Head lights out in the interest of safety.
I applaud this cop, he actually did his job.
The cop absolutely has no need for the passenger's identification!
If a cop is talking. . . . .
Dude was 100% right in not letting him have his ID.
"I'm not pushing the matter.....", but keeps pushing the matter
Every time a cop ask for iD I ask to borrow 20 bucks lol
"you're the one asking all the questions"
Free citizen that pays my bills
Was this OUTSIDE of the cop's jurisdiction? !!!I got plenty of rope...
SEE “POLICE STATE”
in Theaters TODAY ‼️
He got butt hurt because a cop asked him a question.😂😂😂
What a Ham Sandwich
"No"is a complete sentence.
That's right people need to start WAKING UP & start putting these government employees in their place
Cop: I don't have a problem you're the one asking all these questions!
Citizen: I don't answer questions
Cop: clearly has a problem asking all these questions that you don't answer
😂😂😂
Less people going to jail, because everyone is getting educated 😂
*Fewer people
No one broke any laws. Cop has right to ask for ID. Passengers have a right to refuse if no crime has been committed.
Out of their jurisdiction. Demanding ID of passengers for no RAS. THAT'S A HUGE NO.
Was the tail light broken? Always video the alleged infraction.
End qualified immunity
Why is he even asking? He knows he has no right to it.
Put your window up and don't even talk to him!!!!.
Those officers need life in prison
People need to STOP believing ALL COPPER don't LIE!!!
Give me ID, NO! ok you're under arrest lol
"All I am doing is asking" but also "I am stopping you from freely traveling for legitimate reason"
If gaslighting was a person.
This passenger is showing this tyrant cop that he won’t b showing his ID!
Every cop going home at night: "I don't understand why the public hates us so much."
That officer was fine. We should all be stopped by someone like him
Good for the passenger for knowing and exercising his rights.
As a passenger
I Will Never Give Up My ID !
Can't stand there cops stereotyping those broken tail lights! Tail light lives matter too.
I would say this cop is okay. There is no need to get his ID, but he does have every right to ask. Its those to demand ID under the threat of arrest that need to be reprimanded.
This cop was chill and cool, this passenger was fishing for views way more then the cop was fishing for ID.
Repeat after me: I assert my 5th Amendment right and will no answer ANY question. I do not consent to a search. Are you detaining me? Am I free to go? Repeat as needed until the cop gets bored or realizes you know your RIGHTS as a citizen.
....How about these officers learn a simple phrase that Women expect ever many to know... NO MEANS NO...
“I’m just asking” because they know most people don’t know their rights and will give their ID
The REASON is to create a reason for arrest. Nothing else.
That cop has never been with a woman
It’s not a crime to question the police.
It's still called profiling
Here we have another CRIMINAL on a fishing trip for ID'S.
When does it stop?? 😮
Who is in charge of these clowns??
Cop is fishing for a violation
Why can’t people just give the police your driving licence then, unless you’re guilty of something, it’s over.
Know your rights, exercise your rights, or lose them. They won't stop without a fight.
I just be like, "as long as your asking, no"
Gotta be an order
NO ORDERS FROM A DAMN EMPLOYEE!
I DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE UP MY RIGHTS TO A COP!
Still amazed how they so naturally gaslight and play victim! 😮
Cop was very fair about it actually...he asked and when the dude finally stated he doesn't want to the cop moved on. Seems one of the better encounters in my book
