My name is Ike Stephens. I started driving a truck in 2002. I started making trucking videos in 2010. I've done everything from VLOGs to parodies.
Trucker Rag Chew | Trucker Rag Chew is mixture of Vlog, music, and opinion. It is one of the original VLOG style videos series in the RUclips Trucking genre.
Bonehead Truckers® | I am one of only people who will call out the bad things truckers do to ruin this industry. Bonehead Truckers® exposes the bad behavior of truck drivers.
Trucking Advice | Mixed is into the normal videos, I have been known to put out an occasional educational video. Even though I still have a lot to learn myself, the things I do talk about is stuff I've learned the hard way.
RUclips Live | I was one of the original content creators to do live content. I started on Ustream and when RUclips started the live interactive content, I was one of the first to participate.

My dad who drove from 46-83 would be rolling in his grave seeing the quality of truckers today
Yes He would Sad😢
Truckers??? They cannot even Drive a Car... Have No Clue What They are Doing... Wreckers Behind the Wheel... Sooo Sad... 😭😭😭😭😭😭🤠
@@henkvandenberg1375 you have to realize something they go through them schools in two weeks and throw it out there and told her they’re gonna make $80,000 a year. They’re not even gonna have to worry about using a shower with water. I just gonna turn on the Spicket money is gonna come out of it, they have no clue lied all the way around😎💯🚛
@@henkvandenberg1375 most people can drive cars. They just have select moments when they remember how to use their driving skills. All the state has to do is put a cop right behind them and they suddenly remember how they got the license in the first place.
I never got to meet my granddad but he was a great trucker too, we still enjoy his hardwork till date
Kudos to the driver who threw out some else's trash in the trash can.
And they say flatbedders can't back
They can't and can't never could
@@thadnipper9411and you can't even fix your grammar smh trying to insult somebody
I'm a flatbed guy and I back with the best of them.
We can. Just harder for us and we have way less practical experience since we barely bump docks.
I have mad respect for van and reefer guys. You all have some awesome backing skills and have some wicked docks you have to hit. I'd love to be able to practice more often but it's hard to find the time.
As a flatbed driver who did both i say drive van drivers can’t drive and we can’t back is a insult 😂😂 but i can say I’ll back up better then half my f these drivers with ease
As a truck driver myself,,,I hate other truck drivers because of their NASTY HABITS,,I HATE NASTY PEOPLE..
I agree.
As an Owner Operator and spending around $ 1000 every few days to fill up my tanks, should i really give a crap about a damn window sqweegy to help keep my truuck a little cleaner?
@UglyFatTrucker Cheep skate,,cut back on the cigarette,,burger etc etc and save that money and join the line at the blue beacon, squeegee and windshield washer can't clean the truck..
Nasty people everywhere in every profession
@jbrown7063 Not in my house,,how about in yours??
Least the dude in the first clip could back up
Should have went up to him and showed him the Do not enter and see if he pulls off and backs on the other way😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂
That guy backing on the scale has some dummy parked up in front of the scale.
Yes. But he could have drive on the scale
So what? They're all marked enter and exit, and that's why reading and speaking English is supposed to be REQUIRED
That’s why he should have forced the guy to move.
Guess he didn’t see “Do Not Enter” clearly printed on the overhead sign.
Aye respectfully F Buckee's
The real bonehead was the truck parked in front of the scale!! Der der der
That’s kinda my thoughts also.
Two things. The flatbed had a difficult situation because of the bonehead that was parked along the curb making the exit from the scale impossible.
Ike you need to make everyone who fails to video in landscape mode an automatic BONEHEAD TRUCKER!!!!
Wrong. Boneheaded
I would agree, except the flatbed driver was not backing off of the scale, they were backing onto it. Driving forward would have put him in the same place, which is on the scale, as backing into it would have. That guy parked on the curb will still be there when he tries to leave after he backed up into the scale...
I've been driving since 1977, and have backed onto scales several times.
Usually when someone is parked at the entrance and you can't get by. Or, like in Salinas California the line for the fuel pumps blocks the line for the scale.
In trucking, sometimes you do what you HAVE to do, not what you WANT to do.
Otr 20yrs coast to coast and I know the pilot in Salinas very well they pack up like a sardine can in there I've backed out of the fuel lanes and scale both a few times when a few boneheads were parked in front of me getting their shower and sodie water!
@@bradgroce6291 Thankfully they opened the Loves down the block and you don't have to use the Pilot now
@bradmaj yes I stopped in that loves last week nice large lot and plenty of room and grass to walk the dog!
That first clip kinda looks like the filmer was blocking the scale.
The 1st clip: there is a truck in his way. He couldn't pull out normally due to this issue. He thought he could make it and didn't (which he caught by looking at his mirrors) and had to back out of it. I see no problem or boneheadedness.
I wish i could back that good! Signed white volvo mafia
lol…I was thinking at least he didn’t take the sign down…🤷🏻♀️😂😂
😂😂
Someday the fuel island is gonna put Streakin Beacon out of business.
Swift teacher thought it wasn’t a big deal
Flip flop mafia stuff there
One of my favorite avents, a Swift trainer having a trainee practice parking at a truck stop. It never fails, you need to get fuel or find a parking spot and the whole place is screwed up because someone can't park. I understand, they have to learn, but do it at an appropriate time and place. Not where you're affecting other drivers.
In my best Colonel Klink voice, "H-o-o-o-gan!"
The problem is, there are too many cameras.
Since the dinosaur days, truckers always been this way.
Not really. The problem started when the government started letting illegals drive trucks in the 2000s
to be fair to the hogan driver, that bobtail took a trailer spot
I started driving in '99. There was some respect for the fellow man at that point. Cell phones wasn't as abundant as they are now, and drivers would still stop to help if you were broke down. By the time i quit trucking nobody would help nobody. I even heard women constantly hollering on the cb to get help sliding their tandems. I always stopped to help. I always pulled forward in the fuel islands. What happened?
I had some genius next to me do a brake test at 00 : 10 this morning at a truck stop. Good times
He aint trying. he did back onto the scale. I bet the guys filming have many of these situation that could land them on this page
He had his turn signal on the whole time to start
Well, no wonder ol Swifty Swift drivers can't drive worth a dern and they're always winding up on Bonehead Truckers..... They ain't got trainers worth a dern!! LMAO 😂🤣
Love the voice over. Hilarious
I spent my whole trucking career trying not to back. Why waste time washing a fleet truck. Can’t imagine what the inside looks like, probably has a hole cut in the floor for a toilet.
Lol
All I can say is that if you spent your whole trucking career trying not to back, that says a lot about you!
@@enochandedna Sorry you drive a fleet truck.
Thank him for picking it up.
Happy Sunday, Ike! All I got to say today is, _GOAL!_ 🙃
I'm at the point where I'm on the road and I see a swift driver, I have a feeling of dread and worry when they drive past me. Apparently there are still flatbedders that didn't lean how to use their mirrors.
Oh yeah the truck hood ..that was me..lmbo😂😂. So what happened was is that...I pulled in to get some sleep...but apparently an ali-got-her..had wanted to park there too..and the two of them go into it ..and after a slight struggle,I decided to umm"pull out"(siiiick 🤣😂)...and all bc " I ain't got no panties on"the ali-got-her won😊...
Landscape mode!! LOL. You can’t express that enough. Never understand why people film in portrait.
Even a bobtail parked way back in a spot isn’t safe from ol’ Swifty Swift!
Swift trainer said it was good, right through the uprights
i like food loads , i once was given a big box of pop tarts when i had to go back for a rework, i eventually ate every last pop tart thanks
Blue beacon is hiring
I'm glad I got out of trucking when I did in October 2007.
You know you miss it.
@@k.a.g. Only to the extent that I miss the view out of the windshield, and all the different places that I went.
@@biohazard20161 I agree, that's what I miss too. I was forced to retire at 48 due to a fall off my flatbed and damaged my spinal cord. 62 now with a amputated right leg, issues from the fall.
@k.a.g. Yeah, I can understand that. That is kinda what caused me to have to retire. During Desert Storm I suffered a spinal injury, in 1998 I had surgery to fuse the affected area of my spine. The doctor told me that the symptoms would get better for a while, but would eventually begin to get worse again. One of the symptoms was the sudden loss of sensation in my left leg which causes me to fall, it was starting to happen too often on the truck, also I was beginning to lose strength in my left leg and was having problems holding the clutch in. This is why my non-V.A. doctor removed me from work status and prescribed narcotics. I did as the law required and turned in my C.D.L. within 10 days.
@@biohazard20161 Yep same here, mine has been fused in my neck, that's when I was put out of service. lower back surgery about 25-30 years ago. Life sucks when you can't do what you have done all your life, such as working in the yard, just being able to do what you want to do. Be careful, it's easier to get injuries after messing it up just 1 time.
Happy Birthday Ike!!!!!!
Ike you are too funny ... I love it ! 😂❤🎉
Rookies, Those squeegees do some serious damage to the paint and headlight.
They’re strictly made for windshields only.
Don’t even use them on side mirrors.
Never knew about not using on mirrors. Why not?????
9:16 poor Peterbilt. Damn😮
Them 2 boys got fired from the Beacon
Hey Ike, maybe just let everyone know that no landscape mode then no showing of their video
As a driver of 25yrs I will admit that I from time to time use squeegee to clean my headlight lenses but not on the truck
That’s okay. 👍
Thanks Ike, my plow truck made the cut!👍
A little whipped cream on that cookie is a game changer.
Funny the only one pumping fuel was a box truck lol. He was also using the squigie to clean the windshield like it's meant for
That first video was the camera man blocking the cat scale? Kind of looks like it
Actually I’ve been to a few truck stops where the pump wasnt working to pay and we all had to go inside to pay
I would never invest in any business that allows trucks to comes and goes plus park,,unless they are delivering goods,,
How did that Swift truck back into that truck, the driver had the bright colored safety vest on..isn't that suppose to make you a professional driver?🤣
And looked like slides on his feet.
Who has completed the bingo board of difficult maneuvers?
Back into/back out of/blindside into a fuel island/cat scale/dock/parking spot?
In US you could cut sharp forward into a cat scale if it isn't raised. Can't do that in Canada because those cat scales have a second call button to have the attendant zero them before you get green light to pull in.
Tell them if they don't film in landscape you wouldn't show it
Wow that yellow pole destroyed Frey Miller 😳
Pause
Those guys washing their truck got me thinking ...
Recently I was at a truckstop barhroom when Hadji walked right up next to me at the sinks and started washing his feet. I'm washing my hands, getting ready to buy some food inside and take my break, and sandal boy flips his stinking feet into the basin right next to me. Seriously? I looked at him and yelled WTF and splashed my water from my sink at him. You know, like when you're playing in the pool. The look on his face was utter confusion.
I think these guys have NO IDEA that that is unacceptable behavior in the States, and therefore I'm going to assume any guys using squeegees to wash trucks have NO IDEA it doesn't work, is gross and just ruins it for everyone else. They probably REALLY think that's what the bucket and squeegee is for: washing ANY part of the truck, not just glass.
Same thing goes for breaks in the fuel lane, not pulling up, ALL that. It's not malicious or even edgy for them; they just simply have NO CLUE.
I can almost sympathize. Almost. You'd think simple observational skills would clue them in, but they don't get it.
eventually your career will down to whether or not u can make the right decision in a heart beat
Black freightliner mafia !!!!!!!
Why only pick on the hogan truck looked like there was a bunch of guys parked outside the lines
While the first guy wasn’t the smartest for backing onto the scale but I think it’s the first flatbedder to be able to back up without hitting anything on this channel
Crst is missing a letter but excelling in laziness. What does a bonehead need with headlights, while parked or backing? Looking for deer?
Holy commercials Batman!!!
Yep inconsiderate to where they park in the entrance/exit clogging it up making it hard to go in and out
That first guy wasn't a bonehead.
Former Cocoa city worker here! "In CC Texas
There are a handfull of places you have to back on if you need to reweigh
It wouldn't do me any good to be out there anymore.. I'd be taking the valve cores out of the front tires on the trucks blocking the fuel pumps. I just know one day I wouldn't be able to control myself. I don't have that ability sometimes.
Aww 💩 lol I love the baby voice it always CMTFU 😂😂
Hurry there's two job openings over at Swift😂
Shame on that trainer. Not even a proper stop signal. Weak man.
Not only that, he really should have signaled way earlier once the truck and trailer were jacking at such a drastic angle for backing into a standard parking spot. The trainer really should have been able to spot the trainee was in trouble well before he slammed into the front of the parked truck on his blind side.
A good trainer would have stopped him well before he struck something and have the trainee GET OUT AND LOOK.
I would suggest making a new segment called "DEI Truckers" but it really wouldn't be any different than what you're already doing.
Frey Miller needs to be on the next VS video!
Shame on the mess!
They should fire the student and the traner. The trainer just stood there ans watched him back into that truck.
I can't wait to be on Bonehead Truckers someday.
It's inevitable. We all mess up eventually and someone will be happy to record it.
6:50 I called this one drivers company and reported him for doing this exact same thing
That was actually pretty good backing--especially by a flatbed driver!!! Now why can't all drivers back that well when it REALLY counts?
Dude filming Hogan… is that your bobtail taking up a whole spot? 😂🤦🏽♀️
Shame on the mess!!!!!!!
SWIFT trainer probably been driving 6 weeks.
CRST, you proud of your driver?
They don’t care. Thats the company that had a driver go up onto the boardwalk in Atlantic City NJ and drive south until he ran out of boardwalk. Blamed his GPS. 😂
Swift needs to fire that "trainer"
He is the best trainer SWIFT has to offer! That's part of the training, so you now backed into your 1st truck! You NOW Qualify as a SWIFT Driver and can go on your own.
Fired? It's been reported he was promoted to vice- president of safety
Put yo handz in tha aiy-uhh, and wave em' like ya just don't cay-uhh!!!
Shame on the field reporters not filming or taking pictures in landscape mode
I think you could say "SIDEWAYS! Film it SIDEWAYS!"... they really may not know what "landscape mode" means. Ah. You did...as i was writing this. 😊
Regarding the Cat scale video, is the flatbed doing it wrong, or are we supposed to be backing on, too? 😂😂😂
Maybe we're doing it wrong, driver 😂😂😂
Looks like there was another truck in front of the flatbed backing onto the CAT Scales. The recorder is the BONEHEAD for not stating that fact.
I made it! 6:42. In a good way haha
In the first clip maybe he was just trying to get some practice in 😂 at least he didn’t hit anything tho 🤷🏾♂️
In Sudan they use squeegees to wash trucks
That looks like the petro in Carlisle pa
If the spot behind the bobtail was open, then yeah that hogan is a bonehead. But if it was taken, then fair play to him. Bobtail could have doubled up with another bobtail or found a parking spot somewhere.
Loves it’s always that way dam flip flop mafia crap
You can tell the difference between American O/O from foreign 0/0 the foreign truck don't have any identification on the trucks.
As the 1st video shows, all flatbedders share one brain. I have a goal that before i retire i would like at least once to meet the driver who has it that day.
Wonder if the first guy backed OFF the scale too.
FUEL ILAND 3 BLUE BEACO
This has nothing to do with trucking kinda, but I think the reason most people don't record in landscape is so that it's not as obvious at first glance that they're recording... but that's just my opinion.
I'm not a trucker but I'm kind of curious about the CAT scale do the truckers have to go on it every time they leave a truck stop and do they have to get a receipt for how much it weighs watching the channel for 4 years and thought I would have picked up on it but never did
No requirement from the truck stop. Your call if you need to use scale to check/verify weights. Driver wants to be legal before hitting the road and possibly getting fined later on.
@@vendingdudes thanks
Cat scale approved.
At 8:27 I'm not sure how the hood may of got left behind I'm not sure if the truck got hit at the truckstop or what maybe the hood can be taken away by a wrecker.
That's a private contractor with a Swift trailer. That's definitely not a Swift trainer
In the first clip was the guy recording blocking the scale? He had his flashers on.
