I give him props for owning up to it. A lot of these mental patients out here will defend their abhorrent behavior TO THE DEATH when it is blatantly obvious that they are in the wrong.

It’s how we respond to our mistakes by taking responsibility for them. And learning to not make the same mistakes again one way or another

Wow, I didn’t know that. I went to the Love’s in Boonville, MO last night. There were SIX trucks sitting at the fuel island. Only ONE of them was actually being fueled. The rest of the drivers were off doing “something else.”
@@SoCal780 that’s ridiculous man I hate that, not too long ago I was pulling around the scale to get in a fuel island that was open, but had a truck pulled up. Some driver came thru the entrance and pulled right up into it, but stopped before the pumps, then was getting out of the truck. I immediately became mad and started shouting at him. Dummy thought I was angry thinking I couldn’t get past his trailer. So he pulled up to the pump then went inside.

I think some drivers are living in the truck stops taking spaces.
When my dad was trucking 46-82 they ate at sit down places. With the advent of fast food instead it made a huge impact on litter everywhere when these pigs ( they aren’t truck drivers at that point ) dump their trash like the first video.

The rig that "lost" it's trailer hoses.. If I recall, IF your air lines come disconnected from the tractor, don't your trailer brakes come on? AIR is what keeps the emergency brakes from engaging no? Service brakes work by engaging air, park/emergency brakes engage IF you have a loss of air. Or over the past 40 years did that change?
Don't feel to bad about ripping off that nozzle. Understanding you have a problem is the first step to bonehead recovery. 😁

Absolutely amazing. These clips are a true testament to the lack of respect, etiquette, and fortitude of SO many “drivers” out there. From dumping trash and human waste on the ground, blocking scales and fuel islands, conducting training exercises next to other people’s trucks, and worst of all, DAMAGING other people’s trucks, is just astounding to me. It shows me that CDL’s are being handed out like candy to ANYONE that applies for one and companies will literally hire anyone with a pulse. It’s no wonder that so many veteran drivers like myself (29 years) are getting the hell out of trucking. There are times that I am literally embarrassed to tell ppl that I’m a truck driver because I don’t want to be lumped in with these LOSERS. Shame on this God awful mess.
47 years out here for me I agree with you it sucks but I still enjoy driving my old 1986 PETERBILT paper logs not a plastic piece of shit try to stay out of the truck stops

If you stay on the passenger side while you’re fueling. Usually, that tank finishes filling, first. Chances are, you won’t forget to take the nozzle out of the drivers side tank.
That's just common sense! Besides, that is the tank you fill up first to begin with!
I was a trucker for a few months 30 years ago. I’m afraid I would’ve been on several episodes of Bonehead Truckers. It wasn’t an easy life is why I have all the respect for truckers now.

I drove for years, never put a scratch on a rig and never wore flip flops, always steel toe boots.
Drivers who wear flip flops have higher chance of ending up on Bonehead truckers looking dumb. I worked at wavepoint warehouse and a driver clipped the fence and tore down the gate, plus his tandems were slid back. Almost drove off but another incoming truck stopped him from leaving to let him know what happened. When he stepped out of the truck he was wearing flip flops.
@@BadgerM6 That's so crazy. I've experienced a lot of bonehead truckers out on the road in my big rig AND in my 4 wheeler. I'm so shocked at how stupid a lot of these "drivers" are these days.
@@edwardkamenar1493 Yeah he tore up that fence real good, pulled it out of the ground. The other incoming driver said it seemed like he was just gonna keep on going and leave. But yeah I I've also encountered drivers in my 4 wheeler as well and I be sure to give them lots of space because God knows they need it, but heck these days they still screw up even with the extra space you give them.
@@BadgerM6 My peeve is when big rig is on the INSIDE left hand turn lane, (When there are 2 left hand turn lanes), and I watch them turn to the OUTSIDE lane after the turn cutting off the cars turning from THAT lane. They ain't supposed to be on the inside turn lane to begin with. Bonehead truckers lol.
@@edwardkamenar1493 When you drive a truck for a while, you are going to misread the lanes up ahead and get in the inside turn lane. A lot of times, going over into the otherlane is the only option. Not a big deal, and in heavy traffic, just have to blow the horn and look crazy. This ain't your pattycake 9 to 5.
Ike, I'm ashamed to admit that I was a trucker, but proud to say I was never a steering wheel holder. I was constantly trying to keep idiots from using window squeegees for washing trucks. Even to the point I'd report them to the truck stop and got my own personal window squeegee.

I'm training to get my cdl and one time we had to get fuel. While the trainer went to get a receipt I pulled out into the parking area, while 3 of the 5 pumps were blocked by a trucks. Shame on the mess.
If drivers didn't have to pay for fuel in a convenience store maybe the fuel islands will clear quicker.
The way things are going, I figure I'll get my CDL just so I can go to truck stops and block the fuel island. 🤪
What you are seeing here is a reason so many drivers are over weight when they throw their fast food containers on the ground when the trash cans are 15 feet away and they park their rigs and block the fuel lanes and the scales because they do not want to park the rig properly and have to walk the distance to the Restaurant or Store and back to the rig.

The fact that he's still there and its bright daylight lends me to believe that what actually happened was this guy was trying to find a parking spot late at night and didn't see the flatbedder. The fact that he's parked perpendicular to the established spots means to me he was "making a spot". Parking lots are dynamic places. Just because its empty when YOU see it doesnt mean it was empty when it happened.

The worst I've seen was at the Vince Lombardi service plaza on the NJ turnpike (I95) just before the GW bridge. The place is pretty big, parking for around 3-400 trucks. When you exit your truck, you're met with the stench of urine and feces, especially in the summer. If you're not careful you will step in it. Even though there's bathroom facilities available 24/7, these scumbags are too lazy to walk inside. There's trash cans everywhere but the parking lot is covered with trash. I've witnessed drivers squatting down on the catwalk taking a dump. These are the guys that give all drivers a bad name.
Damn a swift legally parked and getting ran over. I just can’t believe it.

I work as a scheduler at a storage facility and it is so interesting to me to see the drivers of the carriers I email everyday. I am glad we don't have swift anymore.

Boy that flat beader tearing up the whole parking lot was great. I would love the second part of the idiots in safety. Hey what happened. What could we have done. So why did you move and hit the far off truck. On training the industry has been awful for awhile. I picked up a trailer that couldn't slide the tandems. While checking noticed the brake drum with a split crack. The mechanic that replaced it said he saw somebody with a drum that split in two. I was in Atlanta told a driver contractor pulling a swift trailer. You probably already know but you have a blown tire with metal showing and a bent rim. He was like how did you notice like I am parked behind you and walk to the fuel island. Well how does this happen. Well you hit a curb or one of those strange docks. Well I will get it tomorrow. At least I know don't call swift. Waste of time.
at the loves in my hometown a driver called in to complain about a driver on the scale.....only to use it to bypass the fuel island.
i was in russellville ar and a driver chatting away on the phone forgot the nozzle and pulled it out and then parked with nozzle in and the pilot to get shower and the said no u cant get shower until you give insurance info he was pissed.

It's a Catch-22 situation - companies need drivers with experience, but new drivers need companies to hire them to get the experience, so there's no way you're not going to have a certain percentage of drivers out there who don't know what the hell they're doing, but have to do it anyway
And then they get their parking experience by attempting to park next to YOUR truck! Whoopsie….
A good piece of wisdom. Every day you don't wind up on the internet for doing something boneheaded, it was a good day.
This is why I check in after a long days work for every video put out. It's a self esteem thing. I can go to sleep smiling knowing I survived the clown show one more day.

My issue with trash being next to someone’s truck is how do I know they did it. People should confirm that the person committed the act. Not everybody wants to pick up someone else’s trash. Once I pulled into a loves in Memphis Texas to park for the night and someone had thrown out what appeared to be there meal and ran it over in the only spot I had left to park in.
Recently, while taking a 34 at truckstop, the driver next to me opened his right door & threw all of garbage out onto my truck. Smiling & giving me the bird, drove off. A truckstop employee who saw this helped me to clean the mess up.
A driver came up to us & told the employee to charge me for the mess. The employee tore into the driver verbally.
It's not always the driver that the garbage is next to.

Not “always” the amazon trailers, but yes, 99% of the time 😂 that is an Amazon trailer in my profile pic, also a 96 377 and over ten years on the road though.. my laundry list of complaints about most OO pulling amazon is looooong, but watch out for the amazon day cabs and sleepers now too. Way worse than swift! They’re yard jockeys for a couple months of driving a Vespa to work (amazon yards are roomy af by the way) then they’re legal and driving alone. One I couldn’t do it anymore and passed on a two lane in SC (legally) but 25-35 in a 55 for 10 miles I was behind them..could tell they were scared. I added to that when I blew their doors off and the two cars that for some reason didn’t do it first in all that time. (Safely, long straight away, and my girl is far from stock, less than 10 seconds to pass and get back in the lane)

I get the anger from watching drivers clean their trucks with the squeegee but it’s the same grime that’s on your windshield. Only time it’s a problem is when they clean the fuel of their tanks and get fuel on it.

The last box of Cracker Jacks I bought, had a CDL inside. All I had to do was fill in my name and paste a picture. Some truckers forget that, It's a friggin semi tractor with a 53' trailer and not your pickup truck. Better luck next time. Have good days!

ill admit, i’ve been that driver that left his truck waiting in the fuel island. truck in front of me couldnt pull forward because of a crst truck in front of him and i was stuck behind him. i had to use the bathroom in a bad way, after 20min of waiting for the first truck to move, i set my brakes and ran inside. couldnt have been more than 10min, came back outside and NOBODY was in the fuel island anymore. naturally i looked like the jackass now 😂😂
Yes that has happened to me as well. Look, if I have to crap and the guy at the fuel island is camping out and setting up lawnchairs, I'm going inside. I'm not the problem, the guys in front of me were.

Though I didn't drive the big trucks, I drove hot shots from 1976 through 2010, and with my 35 ft long trailer and 22 ft lg truck, I had to deal with all the same problems at the big truck stand except for the scales And government bureaucracy, so I feel for you all.

Every truck stop should have Wrecker Service and tow the trucks that are parked illegally . and charge the driver.
Exact reason why I park at the fuel island. Trucks parked where there not supposed to be, on corners and shit like that. Got stuck and had to back out 3 times. Shame on me. That’s my fault though that it took 3 times for me to learn.
Maybe that UPS truck driver needed to use the rest room real quick and couldn't wait any longer for the truck driver in the fuel island

Honestly, I don't know how you hit two trucks in the same lot. The few times I fucked up and hit another truck in a lot, I get super paranoid for a while, constantly watching my trailer's movements even closer than I normally do.

That 2nd video reminds me of when I started trucking I was parking and I couldn't see the other trailer anymore so I stopped and got out to look I was like 5 feet away from hitting glad I actually got out and looked 😅 felt like a real bonehead but to be fair that was the closest I've ever been to causing an accident
I do that as well. I feel kind of embarrassed especially on a busy job site but I’d rather take a couple seconds and be sure than to hurt some innocent person just trying to make it home just like me. Cheers partner.

So, truck driving is hard. I can't block the scales, pull onto the scales sideways, block the entrance to the fuel island, block the exit to the fuel island, drop my trash on the ground, rip off the fuel hose, wash my truck with the squeegee, park crooked, back into other trucks, drag my trailer into other trucks, or otherwise be an annoyance in the truckstop.
