I worked for Western Express for a year(No I am not a convict nor did I ever wear flip flops anywhere but in the shower room). They didn't pay the best, but I can't complain, they issued me a new truck and most of the time received pretty decent trips.(Line haul 11 western.) and they pretty much left me alone. What did amaze me is how slobbish so many drivers looked at the shipper or the consignee. I always made sure I had gotten showered before arriving at customer, if that wasn't possible, a baby wipes bath and clean cloths. The bone heads in your video's and those yet to be videoed lack one of the most important elements required after plain common sense, that is situational and spacial awareness. I was never above asking a driver to spot me and I made it a personal rule that if I didn't have to jack knife into a space between to tractors I didn't. I'm not trying to sound like Mr. Rogers on 18 wheels, but I was determined not to be one of these idiots who are being laughed at looking like an idiot next to damaged equipment and property nor make my life needlessly suck. To many of the people they are turning loose out there don't seem to understand you don't just drive a truck, you first strap it on and become a part of it and feel it from the seat to the rear of the trailer. I always remembered what my trainer told me years ago, "If you tell the truck to do something and it does what you want, it is only because it happened to agree with you at that particular moment". If you are 2 days late delivering a load, if you didn't hurt anyone, it was a successful run.

Loves is a private company yes. (Duh, it's a corporation)
The property the truck stop on is private, yes. (Like all non-government property)
But is Love's a *_public truck stop?_*
      YES.
"Public truck stop" means the facilities are "open to the public," or available for use by anyone who stops by.
Anyone can walk inside without permission, shop around, buy shit, use their restrooms, etc.
Anytime you are in a bar, restaurant, football game, etc, you are considered "out in public."
"Private" means no one can enter willy nilly.
Your home is "private." People don't just walk in/out of your home, raiding your fridge, using your bathroom, using your water, electricity, etc without your expressed invitation.
*_This is not some rest area on the interstate._*
Rest areas are not truck stops. They don't offer refueling, food, drink, and most don't offer showers. Truckers will stop at them to _sleep,_ but most of them prefer to stop near *_actual_* truck stops like Love's, Pilot, Buckee's, etc.

@@sixstanger00 I just want to make sure we’re on the same page with terms private and public. Loves is a private business that caters to the public just like walmart is a private business that caters to the public Just because we call a private businesses private does not mean the public can’t go in Willy nilly. Put it this way if the loves corp wanted you off of their property for almost any reason they could legally remove you, if you went to a publicly funded rest area no one could make you leave unless you were doing something unlawful. Private just simply means not payed for by tax dollars. Loves has the right to enforce what they want on their property. Remember even if it’s open to the public it is still private property.

Ethanol tankers, grain incoming, grain outgoing, box trucks, big vans, empty barrel deliveries (by the 53 foot box-load, man), full barrels going to the bottling plant, etc. You'd be surprised how many guys come in that don't speak English. My wife and I had thought about getting a small RV or camper for our pickup, to travel across the U.S. but after reading your reply on here. I would not want to be on the road with them or some of the crazy 4-wheelers we see on RUclips! Think we will just stay here in Ohio!
