I thought the best one this year was the guy who was leaving the yard and got his tandem caught up in a parking bollard. He rips off his tandems altogether, and keeps driving.

I have been on that ice. You can't even stand up without holding on to something it's amazing how slick it can get. After 40 plus years of driving I'm retired with no accidents. I started at a time when people didn't laugh at people for making mistakes but today the responsibility is on the carrier's that put people out there without even giving them the basics and training
40 Years here as well no accidents the carriers are using trainer's with as little as 6 months experience. But being on the road for 40 years I don't know nothing? The carriers are at fault pure greed.

Same reason a lot of new people in the IT field, the ones who have a lot of trouble speaking English, manage to 'qualify' and get hired for supporting anything more complicated than a Game Boy. And i'm talking the OG black-and-white Game Boy because they can't tell one color from another.

I lost a silage wagon once when I was 22 or so, I was on the road and the pin broke when I went to proceed at an intersection. It started coasting backwards on a long sloping hill, but even then I wasn’t dumb enough to think I could personally hold back 22 tons. I mean, if we could, we wouldn’t need trucks and tractors.
Silage went back down the hill and hit the curb before rolling. Dad was real happy when he got that phone call.
Great job. Hope next year we see more professional drivers on the road. Thanks for all your hard work through the year.
These guys who turn Walmarts into truck stops are the real OG boneheads. Walmart is nice enough to not say anything but these guys are out here abusing the heck out of it
Which is why many Walmarts have installed low hanging barriers to keep trucks out of their customer parking lots.

That black ice is the worst...lost control of my truck after my steer tire hit a patch of it....back in 2021.
Got back in the truck for a few months afterwards... but I decided to get out of the truck for a couple of years.
Now I'm back in the truck with a brand new perspective of these vehicles and how to drive in the various Wisconsin weather conditions. Most importantly I finally learned that rushing around to "save time" doesn't end well. Now I just take my time and try my absolute best to not get as upset at all the stupidity 🥴 on the roads today.... God help me, because I can't do this job without his help.
Laugh all you want at the karate container hauler but he's slim and in shape while 90% of you are walking fat body heart attacks, 😂

I'm not going to lie, I could have been on bonehead truckers at least twice in my short CDL life, and luckily, no one was around to video tape it and the tow company was understanding. I backed into a car once, and I got stuck. Both situations were preventable if I got out and looked. Live and learn. 😆

Any time I think about getting back into trucking... I just gotta spend a moment watching these type of videos and sanity returns.
I wear crocs when I drive/ or am off duty in my truck. But ANYTIME I’m getting out best believe those boots are going on. Unless I’m shutting down for the weekend. Crocs stay on for my walk to my car to go home 🤣

My closest was some hot shot dumbass leaving the pilot by going out the entrance and almost met my tandems as I was pulling in.
According to something I read Wilson is going to be one of the first companies to start fully autonomous trucks. I am sure that someone pulled the pin on them .Get ready to see a lot of that kind of thing.

I experienced something like the black ice at 5:25 around 1980. I was driving my car down I-80 by Iowa City (Iowa), and it was obviously slick out, but didn't seem to be TOO bad. I was going about 50 mph, and I pulled from the right to the left lane to pass the car in front of me, and after a few seconds, I heard this sound that was like a gunshot! I decided to pull off the highway to the right, and then I noticed just how slick it really was! I had to pump my brakes to stop. The car I had passed, got sandwiched between two semis, and its front end was pushed down and was leaking coolant, and the rear end was pushed way up. Then another semi came over the hill and saw the accident, and tried to stop, only to find out how slick it really was. He jack-knifed off the road into the grass down a fairly gentle hill. I decided wherever I was going wasn't worth it, and headed back home. I hate ice. I live in Montana now, and we get more snow than Ice, which I can deal with a lot better!
At least the guy at 1:35 is doing some sort of "excercise" ... but .. he drives a freakin' day cab!!!!
I really hope that there's less dumb stuff happening on the roads and in trucking in general in 2023 but, steering wheel holders are gonna be steering wheel holders.

When I started over 45 years ago I did some stupid shit, but never wore flip flops.
Pulling up to the line after the pump and going in to get your recipt, quick pee and fast food as long as its reasonable is not blocking the fuel lane.
Yeah that first clip felt super dickish, the dude obviously pulled in behind the guy fueling snd ran in to get a drink and by the time he was back out the fuel guy had pulled forward
I currently work for a major trucking co. I won't mention who. But we had a Road Control guy leave and go through the Swift driving School. So now every time I see a Swifty in the ditch I 😂 and say there goes Leroy. 😂

I’m sorry but I do the same thing the first driver did in the first clip if I pull up to the pumps and there’s a guy inside the store for 15 mins or some and I’m waiting if I got to pee I’m going inside the store half of these clips where drivers sitting behind pumps and coming out of the store is because there’s another driver inside the store or doing some! But much respect to people who can keep there composure when somebody comes up to you with a camera in your face I wouldn’t be able to!

He wasn’t the governor at the time he was the Secretary of State he later became governor and I believe it was back in the 80s or 90s but yeah you could buy a CDL in the state of Illinois
That is not a tree. That is his custome environmental exhaust stack. That the truck driver purchased from. The Green Enviroment group. In 2023 the company will add two new additions. Called the " Tall Timber " model and " The Evergreen ".

One of our new hires straight from driving school took 1 hr 6 minutes to put a trailer into the dock to get loaded. He had 6 open doors to chose from!

I remember asking for help getting backed into tight spots when I first started... It was because I didn't want to damage my truck and trailer or someone else's...
I didn't have any training just bought a truck and hit the road..and a few other things LOL 😆 😅

I also remember being very nervous when others were watching.
There was times I could hit the dock on the first try and other times I just had to start all over again....

I don't have a problem with someone pulling after that pump and then getting what they need from the store. Food etc. It's hard to pull around and find a spot. Then get food. It happens all the time where I go.
But there is still a time limit. If the person behind you has time to pull in, fuel their truck, and be ready to leave and you're still in the way, you need to go find a place to park. You have no right to hold up the guy behind you because you want your sodey water and your cheeezze burger.
