Working for this company is like stepping in a pile of Dog Sht with a new pair of sneakers on. Especially don't go under the training contract with these muthaffucus. Trust me you'll want to walk away from these muthaffucus when the BS starts and not owe them.

Funny how people still listen to these paid advertisers. I worked for Stevens for 7 months. Started off company and had back to back 34hrs getting one meat load. Then when I mentioned I needed a load they would say that it’s slow, while my trainer told me he was hustling the whole time. Then I went to contractor thinking that I would be prioritized since I have a truck note(since that’s basically what they tell you in the business classes you take with them). Realizing that the contractor route is the worst scam to exist in the trucking industry. You pay for a truck that won’t be yours. And then going out taking loads, the loads were completely garbage miles. I was told by many DMs that the most I’ll make is 2,500 miles per week if I’m lucky. Basically, $1,500 per week when you can make that anywhere else without the stress of paying a truck. This company utter garbage.

Get familiar with the jake break manual mode all of that. Because you don't want to be stuck wondering how to slow this thing down. And burning up the Breaks going down the steep hill.

I recently came across a good video on video on backing that I used who are specific type of dock. That has two steel either side of the bay door Which took me for a loop. And you had to basically get it in there. With very little margin forever. I'll let you want one of your doors on the trailer ripped off. That was an experience I never had before. Some of you probably will come across that. Advanced backing is what I watched episode 2 Or Three both videos are good. Oh, and before I forget the way stations.
    Those are Fun to do.
And when you are coming up to a waste station, 2 miles away. Get in the right lane, stay in it. Don't leave that lane for anything.
Because you can get booted. And these truckers won't let you over. I don't know because I haven't gotten the answer if they have a Bypass is bypass for the weigh Station. But either way, stay in the data to write. Follow the signs and you will be fine. They don't tell you about the mountains and steep grade But when you get out there, don't be a panicking. What's your knowledge test? Tells you how to go about using your brakes on the hills stab breaking Jake brakes what gear to be in when Climbing the hill . Oh you're gonna like the jake Breaks. Even though they got sprayed, this is unfreightliner. That's the one I was trained on not with Stevens, another company.
The first two were a nice and button, but if they added Level to the Jake break. It probably would go backwards.
That's my theory. But Franklin is definitely do have a really strong breaking power.
On those Jake Breaks. And call and climbing those hills. It's all about how you start. Provide it that you don't have anyone in front of you.
Which is always the case. And when climbing, what's your temperature And your gauge is while you're climbing just to be safe. I actually think the scaryes place I learned was in Virginia mountains. The road cut out and walls up on either side of the road and vary. Sketchy speeds with thirty nine thousand pounds that was definitely an experience I won't forget. And suddenly I found myself remembering what to do stab Breaking jake break drop the gears Because that trailer was pushing. And some say Donner's pass is scary. But I guess you haven't driven through the mountains in Virginia.
    With curves
And you have to keep an eye on the trailer. Make sure it don't go into the desk. You're hitting a car or whatever Lane that you are in. At all the sun, you don't know nothing about the j break until you get to these mountains. But the information you didn't know about will start coming in. Really quick. Don't forget your knowledge test. Don't forget what your trainers are telling. You do not forget any of that. And listen to your trainers because it does come down how the outcome is gonna be. I was at another school. I saw that first-hand the difference that a trainer can make for you. Or you have a doubt with a trainer that you'r With and you don't feel like you learned anything.
Take a look at the other trainers in the yard. See what they're doing different I didn't have that opportunity until it was too late. The only problem I had was the Pre trip and learning the whole Truck not part of it. But I definitely did get it with a second school. The airbreak's kind of got me on that one. And remember to use the wheel Chock. Before you do your pressure. Or unless you are on level ground and the truck isn't moving. But you're going to be asked to go out there and put one Because that's required. To say even if you are on level ground and the truck isn't moving, you're required to say that. And take the key out of the ignition when you get out of the truck to do that. And that is part of the pre trip . I don't know if you're studying the pre-trip And use their verbage if they Have one. Pms,or cbd or cfc. I messed up on the verbage . But I just couldn't get the words out for some weird reason. Knew the parts. But the verbage got me.

Not going to lie I learned a lot and have applied my training out in the road thanks to there training and many other carriers that I've learned to apply to do safe maneuver and good judgment for safely maneuver. And instead of being a number or a reason for an accident. I decided that I had do not be a risk. Not only my life I had to worry about. It was somebody else's and the equipment just nope. That was my experience. Everybody has a different one. Some people can sleep. I couldn't so give it a shot, find out. Everybody experience with team driving is different. I just wanna make that clear if you can do it great but but it's not gonna be peaches and cream the whole entire time. But it definitely is Experience nonetheless.

No Frtl no volvo no international. Although international had a better pull smother ride especially in steep hills. There great for training only not going to make 6fig income only training. Really good. You planning to get that cdl take them a try or maybe theyll might not try you . Most companies due to there training hire stevens drivers 1st hand due to there vigorous training before getting your own trck . They may put you through the ruffin some trainers ,but if you focus and take in all the teaching you need to get you stsrted you will be a Good drvr. What you put in is what you get out. Good luck to those coming into this industry iis hard tough industry, but it has taught me personally to be humble an many other.

Make you run shit miles for shit pay and they make big profit off of you for the couple of months the average driver works there. And then you quit and they start the entire process over for the next sucker. Or you can do what this guy did and lease a truck off of them. Now you make their truck payment for them. Run even harder now because now you have a truck that you have to pay for now. And run even more shit loads and make them even more money.

just another driver mill company. alley docking is not the most important thing. thirty years and have rarely had to do this. this a lot of B S. don't listen to anyone that only has 8 months experience

Whatever it is "you do" safe travels to you good sir. Alley Dock or 90's or 45's is how you park in truck stops.... but you're right I'm a young to it and know nothing 🙏🏾

Look at these new truck drivers they show no interest. They chatting among their self, swapping bugs away.
Listen to their questions , do it have camera how fast does it go really..
I been driving since 1996 still am .
I have about 12 more years to go then i retired can't wait cause the roads an all these new drivers getting bad out there.

Shush don’t tell no one but 95% of all back in maneuvers are half a offset if you’re doing an alley dock every single time you back, you’re working way too hard

this generation of so called drivers are a disgrace to the profession. looks very sloppy and dirty. this guy wouldn't be allowed in our office dressed like that. real truck drivers don't wear short pants and dirty tenny shoes and their cap backwards they hire anyone with a drivers license,
